National College of Ireland's campus has been buzzing with excitement over the amazing ideas that were put forward during the NASA Space Apps Challenge that the College hosted for the second time, acting as Dublin Mission Control. Runtime Terror has just been announced as this year's Dublin Mission Control NASA Space Apps Challenge Global Nominee. Already recognised by their peers with the Community Choice Award, this talented team created a visually appealing and accurately informative digital orrery to display near-Earth objects. You Can View the Digital Orrery here. This project was described by judges as a creative and inspiring submission that will spark curiosity in space exploration. On Monday, November 4th, 2024, NCI welcomed the members of team Runtime Terror back to Mayor Square to present them with their award plaques and wish them well as the team moves forward to take part in the global phase of this cosmic hackathon. "We are delighted to support NASA International Space Apps Challenge here at National College of Ireland, as their mission inspires collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, which reflects our ethos. It always amazes us to see the participants' enthusiasm and excitement that is part of this positive application of learning," said Professor Paul Stynes, Dean of NCI's School of Computing. This year's global theme, "The Sun Touches Everything," invited participants to tackle one of 21 Challenges using space data and information. These challenges covered a wide range of topics, from astrobiology to space music, and the design of games for astronauts. "It was a brilliant two days. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and it was inspiring to see the creative energy fill the campus as everyone worked together to create and present their ideas," said Dr Athanasios Staikopoulos, who acted as academic advisor to the event from NCI's School of Computing. Dublin Mission Control at NCI was host to many potential participants, with 9 teams completing projects to submission level, including les intouchables, Starchasers, Sunlit, the Celtic Community Cartographers, Cache Me If You Can, Data Wizz, and Unclebaofans. You can find more about all this year's teams around the world, as well as those participating from Dublin Mission Control on the NASA Space Apps Challenge website. The ingeniousness and quality level of the solutions proposed as well as the creativity and the broad range of media used made it very difficult for the Judging Panel to choose the Global Nominee that will progress to the final stages of the hackathon. This year's Global Nominee runner-up, Alpha Centauri is a multi-disciplinary team from Trinity College Dublin, who worked on a programme to analyse and clean real data from the Apollo missions and the Mars InSIght Lander to identify seismic quakes within the noise. Team members were Ruby Ge, Thomas Creagh, Sean Dignam, Ash Keena, and Angelos Eleftheriou! Dublin's NASA Space Apps Challenge Global Nominee, was team Runtime Terror. This team is made up of six talented members, Firose Shafin, Andrei-Alexandru Tabarna, Aditya Bhargav Akella, Pablo Periañez Cabrero, Maximilian Schöll, and Nithyakamal Ilamurugu. These innovative individuals came together as a team and created something that not only met the hackathon requirements but has the potential to expand. Team Runtime Terror should be immensely proud of their work. Speaking on behalf of the group, Max Schöll said, "We met when we started at UCD together this September, but a two-day intensive hackathon really forms strong friendships! We had a moment where we thought we wouldn't be able to complete the project, and then suddenly everything clicked - if nothing else, we have learned to keep going, keep trying, and you will get there!" Aditya Bhargav Akella added, "We had so much fun and learned so much - the mentors who worked with us through the two days were incredible. Capturing the experience and 'sound-feel' of crashing waves is always a challenge. Strong on-shore breezes and the unbridled energy of thousand ton waves breaking over unyielding rock can simply be too much for sensitive microphones. Yet as we sit on the concrete sea defences, bathed in hot afternoon August sun, waiting for the first tingles of cold sea spray to land on our legs, the experience is as serene as it is thrilling. How can this be? Something huge, heavy and aurally overwhelming is also serenely calming and relaxing? Our ears hear the landscape around us and let us feel its space and physicality. Hearing, in a way, is a kind of touching. Given the power and tumult of these waves as they break over the rocks, it isn't possible to be bodily touching them, but we can touch their weight and mass through our ears. Layers of white noise produced by crashing waves, rising and falling, folding over each other, straddling us with their weight, reveals how mere vibrations in the air that land on our eardrums are instantly sensed and translated into physical responses. Responses that are felt as a result of being heard. This is what we mean by 'sound feel'. We might say the thrill is the head's response, the excitement that comes with loudness and chaos. The serenity is the bodily response. Nerves, bones and muscles, relaxing, as they do when massaged.  So sitting on the sea wall facing crashing waves, hot in the sunshine and still in earshot of the odd cricket hiding in the seagrass, is a bath and a massage. Wild sweet peas dancing in the breeze on an empty path. Buzzards circling overhead. We feel drawn to this ragged edge of land and to capture it as an audio experience that can be re-experienced when we cannot physically be there.  * This piece of time we captured in early August from a nearby location to last week's episode (235) from Folkestone in Kent. This stretch of exposed beach at the foot of The Warren. Two perspectives on the same stretch of coast called the Strait of Dover. Without the sea, The Warren would not exist in the aurally rich way it does.

Hello, dear heaven and earth explorers. My spirit guides recently gave me a vision and I want to invite you into a captivating journey: becoming multidimensional through the lens of light body integration Imagine stepping out of a long, dark tunnel and into a vibrant, sunlit meadow. This metaphorical shift is the crossroads we are in today, it is the calling to you, and we're here to explore. For eons, humanity has been navigating a dense forest, feeling disconnected from our true selves and each other. This journey has been marked by three core beliefs: feeling forsaken by the divine, lacking trust in ourselves, and doubting the divine's love. But the tide is turning.A new path is being cleared, illuminated by the light of truth and awareness. The internet, our global torchbearer, has exposed long-held secrets, inspiring a new generation born without the energetic shackles that once kept us in the dark. This shift is marked by a loss of faith in old systems and a reawakening to our innate power.Becoming multidimensional is like gaining a new set of eyes, allowing us to see the vibrant tapestry of reality that's always been there, hidden behind the dense foliage of our limited perceptions. It's about unhooking from the old, familiar path and stepping onto a new one, where we embrace our power as creators. Intuition, our inner compass, guides us along this new path. Now, let's talk about light body integration. Imagine our light body as a beautiful, intricate stained-glass window. When it's clear and unobstructed, it allows the divine light to shine through, illuminating our true selves. But over time, this window can become clouded with energetic blocks, limiters, and implants, casting a shadow over our true nature. In holographic healing sessions, your Light body integration occurs through bringing loving awareness of your challenge, what you desire and tapping into your chakras, archetype and your unconscious soul contract that is holding you back and needs to be released. All of these are then brought into alignment to free your nervous system from rigidity, depression and fatigue. Clearing obstructions, one by one. It's like cleaning each pane of glass, which is a prism of internal light held in your heart, and this process is allowing more and more light to shine through. The clouds start to depart as you step out of the forest and into the sunlightRemember, this journey is not about leaving the old path behind, but about bringing the light of awareness to it. Call it in. Engage in your relationship with your spirit guides. It's about embracing our light and dark, which evolves the true selves, in all our multidimensional glory.Keep shining your light, and stay tuned for more insights into our journey towards unity and awakening.I love you.
