So, now what? Today I'll show you... The “unexpected” allows us to go so much deeper than what we thought we would, should, or could…to discover what’s really there. The NEXT… It allows us to find out and discover what’s there in our NOW, to create the NEXT. So…Now What? Sometimes this can be the scariest question after something unexpected happens, or something new is about to begin. So instead, I encourage you to look at NOW and NEXT. That's right... NOW. AND. NEXT. You’re at the crossroad, and you must make a decision to go right or left. Are you going right or left? Are you going the way that’s right for you? OR… Are you going to “left” — to leave it — to leave yourself? To leave it all? Start with…Now. Why? If you’re not HERE. NOW. then you’re going to be NOWHERE. Then, WHAT NOW? Not, now what? BUT... What Now? Then… Now. When? There’s no greater WHEN then NOW. There’s no greater WAY to go to NEXT then from (and through) NOW. NOW. NEXT. How? Now. And. Now. NOW + NOW is kind of like 1 + 1. It doesn’t equal 2…it equals 11. Now + Now is exponential!! The NOW NEXT MOVEMENT is catapulted and fueled by NOW. AND. NOW. What are you willing to do NOW and NOW to move to NOW…NEXT? Only YOU can answer that for yourself. You can move from feeling like you’re drowning…to sipping. Feeling like it’s overcoming you...to overcoming. By BECOMING in the process of NOW AND NOW. Moving from NOW to NEXT. Please grab your SACRED S.O.L. D.A.T.E. JOURNAL (Daily Action To Engage yourself.) TODAY’S SACRED S.O.L. STEP: Write down what you see right here in the NOW. What does your NOW look like? Then write down the word: NEXT. What would your next step look like in the NOW? Write it down and commit to taking it today. Not only commit to doing it, but simply do it. TAKE THAT STEP TODAY. Thank you for being here, and allowing me to Sip On Life with you. It's another segment of Then & Now. (Re-watching a movie from our youth(then) as adults(now)) We have some fun discussing our favorite scenes and lines from the cult classic, Clueless. We also share the meanings of the many catch phrases and references that went over our heads in our youth. If you are like me, you've seen this week's guest more than you can even remember. He's a face that has appeared on so many tv sitcoms, dramas and comedy specials it's impossible to name them all. Born in Bay Ridge Brooklyn NY, Brian is a true New Yorker. He was an absolute delight to interview. So funny. So open. So raunchy. Did I mention raunchy? As a stand-up comic, Brian has appeared on numerous television show to almost every comedy club to name a few, Dangerfield's, Caroline's Comedy Club, Stand Up NY, Comic Strip Live, Boston Comedy Club, Catch a Rising Star and the list goes on and on. He has been on shows such as Grey's Anatomy, Dexter, Mad Men, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Conan, Bones, A Million Little Things, Castle and played Gordon in Three Sisters, Stuart Miller on Stacked with Pamela Anderson, and THAT list goes on and on. His raspy, sexy voice has been used for commercials and video games such as Grand Theft Auto and Need for Speed. A few years ago, during a stand up routine one of Brian's eyes started to go blurry and not soon after he was diagnosed with MS. Needless to say with COVID, the lack of work for all entertainers as well as SAG's new health insurance minimum annual income being raised from $16,000/yr to $25,000/yr (in the year of a pandemic) Brian has had to find other means for making money. He has started a fund me page on www.patreon.com/brianscolaro where those interested can enjoy his quick wit weekly for only $5.00 a MONTH! And the clips are hysterical. His new book How to Punch a Monkey can be purchased on Amazon for $12.99 and on Kindle for $9.99 and his new recording Then/Now can be purchased on iTunes. All worth it. I know. I bought them all. Donate if you can because Mr. Scolaro is worth every penny and much, much more! I hope you enjoy this interview as much as we did doing it. (EXPLICIT LANGUAGE and CONTENT)

The first Vietnamese American Jazz vocalist and composer of the greater San Francisco Bay Area, Thùy Linh (twee lin), aka TL, has been singing Jazz since age 20. Self-taught and drawn to this calling in college, she was hypnotized by the iconic Jazz voices of Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole and Louis Armstrong. She sings in multiple languages: English, Vietnamese, French, Spanish, and Portugese.Born in coastal Nha Trang, Viet Nam, TL at nine years old, fled by fishing boat with her family to the United States. In their new homeland, TL attained a master’s degree in international relations. But her love for singing from childhood delivered her here. Staring with American Jazz standards, her repertoire has evolved to include original music, blues, Latin bossas and boleros, and pop R&B dance. In her first professional CD, Then & Now, TL invites us to witness her budding love affair with Jazz.

Happy Mother’s Day, listeners! In celebration of the holiday The Four Seasons of Film is proud to present a very special episode. Nathan and Scotty watch Stepmom (1998) and, of course, do most of the talking for you. They discuss classic mothers of cinema from Psycho (1960) to Mommie Dearest (1981), Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore (1974) and Glengarry Glen Ross (1992), children’s books THEN/NOW, Fonzie, Adam Sandler syndrome, and occasionally the subject of Stepmom actually comes up once or twice. To all the mothers of the world, this pod’s for you! This episode is sponsored by Philz Coffee.
My first impression of this podcast was confusion. Secretly Timid? What does this mean? What will this be about? When I went to their website, they add lots of pictures and videos to each video posts. I searched for an “About” page, and couldn’t find one. The only thing I could find was a page that talked about the background of all the hosts. When I went to their iTunes listing there was almost no description except that it was an irreverent weekly podcast based out of Texas. If you are looking for more insights, you might check out some of their reviews in iTunes. The reviewer stated the four hosts have a great dynamics and are hilarious. It sets they all bring something to the table and they have strong beliefs and they stand behind them. The episode I listened to had the hosts discussing the Mad Men television show. They also talk about getting stuck in traffic. They share a story about ordering broccoli and having the people who served the broccoli. The “teaser” for the show is a reference to people licking another person’s anus. They also discuss what they got their Mother’s for Mother’s day. Things They Are Doing Correctly Their ID3 tags are correct and their recording levels are good. They seem to have planned out their episode and they know what they are going to talk about. I liked some of the dialog. Unlike a “Rush Limbaugh” who is a one trick pony, you seemed to want to weigh both sides of a discussion and be willing to look at all the sides of a story. They mark their episodes as explicit and they are. Things I Would Work On As a new listener, I have no idea who you are. Consequently, I don’t care that you were stuck in traffic. What you might want to try is hitting your “Hot Topics” first and draw your audience in. Then (Now that we kind of have been introduced to you a little and have a slight understanding of you) do the “here’s what happened to me this week.” Quit using Podpress. Podpress is a very outdated plugin for WordPress that left thousands of people with broken websites in the past. Read/hear about why podcast is bad. The audio of your voicemail was really bad, and you need to have a way to boost the volume of the call so its as loud as you. You might look into putting links to the music you spotlight at amazon.com and iTunes using affiliate links. This might help put some gas in your tank. You mention your podcast on facebook, but there is no link to your facebook page. You can remove the link to the zune directory on your website as it doesn’t exist anymore. I would change the titles of yoru episodes and move the “episode ___” to the end (or remove it – nobody cares what episode it is). Put that information in your ID3 tag (which you already are). The link to your itunes uses itpc format. That’s HORRIBLE as anyone who subscribes does not get credit for being subscribed (so you don’t get credit). See this video. It May Not Be There Fault Classifying this podcast as comedy thinks it going to get me to laugh. It didn’t. The problem is, I’m not sure what I would classify this as.
