  My first impression of this podcast was confusion. Secretly Timid? What does this mean? What will this be about? When I went to their website, they add lots of pictures and videos to each video posts. I searched for an “About” page, and couldn't find one. The only thing I could find was a page that talked about the background of all the hosts. When I went to their iTunes listing there was almost no description except that it was an irreverent weekly podcast based out of Texas. If you are looking for more insights, you might check out some of their reviews in iTunes. The reviewer stated the four hosts have a great dynamics and are hilarious. It sets they all bring something to the table and they have strong beliefs and they stand behind them. The episode I listened to had the hosts discussing the Mad Men television show. They also talk about getting stuck in traffic. They share a story about ordering broccoli and having the people who served the broccoli. The “teaser” for the show is a reference to people licking another person's anus. They also discuss what they got their Mother's for Mother's day. Things They Are Doing Correctly Their ID3 tags are correct and their recording levels are good. They seem to have planned out their episode and they know what they are going to talk about. I liked some of the dialog. Unlike a “Rush Limbaugh” who is a one trick pony, you seemed to want to weigh both sides of a discussion and be willing to look at all the sides of a story. They mark their episodes as explicit and they are. Things I Would Work On As a new listener, I have no idea who you are. Consequently, I don't care that you were stuck in traffic. What you might want to try is hitting your “Hot Topics” first and draw your audience in. Then (Now that we kind of have been introduced to you a little and have a slight understanding of you) do the “here's what happened to me this week.” Quit using Podpress. You mention your podcast on facebook, but there is no link to your facebook page. You can remove the link to the zune directory on your website as it doesn't exist anymore. I would change the titles of yoru episodes and move the “episode ___”  to the end (or remove it – nobody cares what episode it is). Put that information in your ID3 tag (which you already are). The link to your itunes uses itpc format. Chingalese 2 面试面试的那一天，小睿提前一个多小时就到了陆家嘴金茂大厦。她走进电梯，按了35层，正准备合上电梯门的时候，一个大约40岁上下，身着米白色的职业装，捧着一堆资料，时髦却不失凌厉的女士匆匆赶到电梯口。小睿很好心地帮她按开了电梯门。女士：“谢谢你，能帮我按一下35楼么？”小睿：“恩好的，我也恰好去35楼。您肯定是通达的律师吧，据我所知，35楼一层都是通达所的。”女士：“恩，是的。你是来面试的么小同学？我听人事（HR）那边说今天会有些学生来面试，不过时间还早。”小睿：“是啊，我今天来面试一个实习职位，证券组的。我想稍微早点来，一是熟悉一下环境，二是给自己再留点准备的时间，不至于太匆忙。”女士：“这个想法不错。这样吧，你随便帮我讲讲你的情况，就当面试前的热身。”小睿：“谢谢您！我是复希法学院的学生，将于今年6月毕业。四年的法学院教育培养了我法律思维的能力，为我成为一个合格的法律人打下基础。我对资本市场这一领域很感兴趣，选修了证券法，证券投资实务等课程，都取得了不错的成绩。”女士：“你有任何的实习经历么？”小睿：“今年暑假我在基层人民法院实习了2个月，为法官草拟文件，准备开庭资料，撰写通知。”女士：“这个经历不错。面试的时候你可以多说一些实习的收获，多展示一下你的能力。”这时候，电梯到了35层，门开了。女士：“我们好像到了。祝你面试成功！”小睿：“谢谢您！”一个小时以后。秘书：“刘小睿，请到403室，白律师办公室面试。”小睿推开403办公室的门，看到一个米白色职业装的女士对着她微笑。咦，不就是电梯上的女子么？今天的新詞：职业装 professional attire捧着一堆资料 carrying some documents匆匆赶到电梯口 Rushedly arrived at the elevator door时髦却不失凌厉 fashionable yet serious and professional我也恰好去 Oh! People always ask me “What is the best plugin for Podcasting.” Originally I said Podpress, but the develop got too busy (and probably tired of working for pennies) and abandoned the plugin. I love the 1pixle player as you can change the color of the player to match the theme of your wordpress blog. I've been a fan of Powerpress when it first came out, as they added more functionality (to tie it in with the blubrry.com network) I kind winced a bit (I loved it simplicity). However, recently updates to the powerpress plugin have made it my official plugin of choice. They added the 1 pixel player (and four others) to the mix, so customization is at your fingertips (and without a huge learning curve to figure out how). To me, this makes Powerpress, THE podcasting plugin. I still use Feedburner for my iTunes stuff, but I love the ability to have different players, and the ability to offer a download link, a streaming link, and a “Play in new window” link. I don't use Blubrry.com for hosting (nothing against it), but they do have some great tools to make things simpler. Todd Cochrane, Angelo Mandato and the crew at blubrry deserve a round of applause for listening to their audience and over delivering on what we wanted. Check it out at http://www.blubrry.com/powerpress/ Other Plugins I Use WordPress Automatic Upgrade is a great plugin. I know this is part of WordPress out of the box, but I like the plugin as it reminds me to back up my blog. WordPress Autmatic Backup is a great plugin that e-mails me a backup of my blog on a weekly basis. All in One Seo Pack is a tool that allows you to add additional meta tags, and customized titles to your blog. I like this plugin, it is easy to use, but it seems lately it needs upgraded about once a week. This is annoying. The upgrade simply takes you to the page in the plugin that asks for donations. Tweet Meme is an interesting plugin that allows people to “retweet” your blog post. They click the button, enter their twitter information and boom, they've retweetted and put a link back to your blog (through bit.ly if you want so you can keep track).

Catching a cold is no fun at all...... i've been clear from this for quite some time now, however, it's here. Feeling fuzzy in the head, cold, hot, moody every now and then. All mussles do hurt real bad! Time for extra vitamines, fresh orange juice coming to you from the kitchen. Time for a couple of LOST episodes on the couch.....no more other things today. Blubrry has left the Wordpress setup; this morning we went back to Podpress cause it just works better! Not only the options for setting it up. Also iTunes recognizes the feed better and does show the complete podcast description now. So in short: it all works fine from our view. If not then please drop us a line via the comments or e-mail. We are two guys from Sydney who wants to talk about life, video games and pop culture.Today we talk about a number of topics starting with some current affairs. We then proceed to talk about console gaming and also the recent release of the creature creator for Spore.

Today I talk about some of the items I see that confuse new podcasters. 1. The Podcast and Episode Delemna. There is a "Podcast" name (Think "Friends"), and there is an "Episode" name (think "Monica and Chandler's Wedding). So while you may put in all sorts of iTunes information into your Wordpress settings (either via Podpress, or Feedburner) those apply to the "Show/Podcast." So if you have a show come into your aggregator (like iTunes) and there is no album art its because each EPISODE has "tags" for each mp3 file (or video file). In the example I was working with, the mp3 didn't have any album art. (Even though the SHOW did, so again the EPISODE didn't have album art). 2. RSS Feeds. Most podcasters use Wordpress.com to maintain a blog (typically on their server like www.coolerwebsites.com ) that has a "side effect" of outputting an RSS feed. So when you update your blog, you update your RSS feed. So how do I update my RSS? I update my blog. Its that easy. However! You may be using Feedburner (www.feedburner.com) which will look at Wordpress (to watch the RSS feed). This is what people call "Your Feedburner Feed." Then to list your podcast in iTunes you ay submit your "Feedburner feed." So now when iTunes starts it checks for new episodes. It woudl sound like this: iTunes: Hey are there any new episodes? (Its asks Feedburner)Feedburner: Hey Wordpress any new episodes?Wordpress: Yeah, there have been two episodes put out since the last time you checked. The mp3 files are right over there...Feedburner: Thanks. Hey iTunes the mp3 files are right over there..iTunes: Got it. I'm downloading them now. So when you update your Wordpress, you (through some handshaking) update iTunes.
