My special guest and friend on “I'm a Millionaire. So Now What?” is women's sexual health disrupter Dr. Jordin Wiggins, a naturopathic doctor, entrepreneur and author on a mission to reverse the sexual dysfunction that affects 50% of women globally. She tells us about her journey from traditional to naturopathic medicine and how she merges her learnings from both to revolutionize the way we deliver, educate, and talk about women's sexual health, wellness and pleasure. Find out how she 10x'd her revenue by creating educational programs for women looking for more joy and fulfilment in their life, work, and relationships. Enjoy!
Joining me on “I'm a Millionaire. So Now What?” is the next generation of the self-made nation, two special guests who are actually my cousins. These entrepreneurs bought and managed a local ice cream shop in Almonte, Ontario, while still in high school – and one hasn't even graduated yet. Jacqueline and Nicolas Marquis pooled together their college funds to start Almonte Ice Cream Shop and I can't think of a better way to launch yourself into the self-made nation. Can you? I hope you enjoy their story!

“For the Christian, justification is completely the work of God, which not only forgives our sins but also attributes to us the righteousness of Jesus. Justification can never be earned by our good works; it is only received by faith, based upon the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.” In this episode of Kitchen Table Theology, we will discuss the doctrine of Justification, the brevity of what it truly means, and how it affects our standing with Jesus Christ. [00:01 - 04:23] What’s The Difference Between Systematic Theology and Doctrine?Systematic Theology is any study that answers the question, “What does the whole Bible teach us today?” Doctrine is what the whole Bible teaches us today about a particular topic. [04:24 - 08:05] What Does Justification Mean? Biblically defined: Justification means to pronounce, accept, and treat as just.1Justification is completely the work of God, which not only forgives our sins but also attributes to us the righteousness of Jesus. Justification can never be earned by our good works.[08:06 - 10:13] Unpacking Justification From Scripture Acts 13:38-39[10:14 - 14:51] What Does It Mean to be Justified? To have your sins forgiven in such a way that God's honor and integrity are preserved by it.If God merely swept sin under the rug, He could no longer be regarded as the God of justice and truth. But God has found a way, through Jesus, to lay the guilt of our life and heart upon his own Son.[14:52 - 16:45] How does Justification Affect My Standing with Jesus and My Identity in Him? Jesus shed his blood on the cross and rose from the grave to reconcile us to God.Both the Old and New Testaments assure us, “The just shall live by faith”[16:46 - 21:42] So Now What? Romans 5:1 Tells us that, because of Christ, we are now at perfect peace with God.Final words from Pastor Jeff and Jen. Tweetable Quotes:“Justification means to have your sins forgiven in such a way that God's honor and integrity are preserved by it.” — Pastor Jeff Cranston“Justification means that we are restored to favor with God… that the stain of condemnation has been replaced with God’s favor ... Hello again, Self-Made Nation! Today I want to ask you something: Do you have the tendency to take the weight of the world on your shoulders
Hey there, Self-Made Nation, I hope you’re all getting ready for a fantastic St Patrick’s Day (Covid-style, of course!). On this episode of “I’m a Millionaire. So Now What?”, I started thinking about the “Luck of the Irish

It’s time for “I’m a Millionaire! So Now What?” – and today we talk climate change and electric vehicles.
What is blaming?First of all, blaming is part of being human! As far as I know, EVERYONE blames sometimes. It's important to talk about blame because many times we do this without realizing that we are doing it. Blaming is simply giving responsibility for something that we think has gone wrong, to someone or something else. We live in a day and age when blaming is the norm, and it is 100% acceptable. Why do we blame? The main reason that we blame others is to avoid feeling certain thoughts and/or emotions. Our brains are really good at believing what we tell them to believe. When we can blame someone else, we feel and emotional sense of relief. We use blame as a defense against feeling unwanted emotions such as shame and embarrassment. Blaming turns you into the victim. When we blame others, we shift our focus to something, often someone, that is out of our control. This turns us into a victim. Now, in our minds, we are at the mercy of the person or thing that we are blaming. Rather than having the power to change our circumstances, we try to depend on others to change. So Now What?#1 Increase your awareness around blamingMany of us blame others and make excuses without even thinking about it. It is a habit and part of who we are. The first step is to become aware of when you are blaming or making excuses. By doing this, you can also gain some awareness of the emotions that you are trying to avoid by blaming. For me it is almost always, if not always, shame that I try to avoid. By blaming others, I try to shift the burden of shame to them. #2 Identify what you can control and take responsibility for that. Usually when we blame, we try to shift our focus from something within our control to something outside of our control.I invite you to get curious and find what is within your control and take responsibility for that. Doesn't matter how good or true the excuse is, or how real the blame is, take responsibility for what you CAN control. This puts you in a position of power. #3 Practice, practice, practiceIf you're like most people, this is going to be a shift for you, and it will take time and practice. Practice awareness. Much of this will take place in the thought line of the mode. Some will take place in the feeling line. Practice experiencing the emotion that you are trying to avoid. This will take place in the feeling line. Practice the habit of taking responsibility. What is Manipulation?Trying to change or control other peoples' actions, feelings, and/or thoughts according to our own desires. Often times we manipulate our teens by trying to get them to feel negative emotions, like shame, guilt, or sadness. Manipulation is a human skill that can be used for good and for bad. What is People-Pleasing?People-Pleasing is when we do something that we do not want to do in an effort to please someone else. People-Pleasing is socially acceptable manipulation. We we do it, we are trying to manipulate how the other person thinks and feels. It is lying, and it is typically a one sided sacrifice.Often times, as parents, we are guilty of trying to manipulate our kids into people pleasing. We want them to eat certain foods to make grandma happy. We want them to do certain things that they don't want to, because we think it will make the someone else feel better, but deep down we are hoping it will make us feel better. Often times we are guilty of wanting others to People-Please us. What are Manuals?A manual is what we want someone else to do. It's how we think they "should" think, feel, or act. We think that if the other person simply did what we wanted them to, we would feel a certain way. Everyone has manuals. We have manuals for how we think our teens should behave. Our teens have manuals for how they think their parents should behave. It's part of being human, but the more aware we are of our manuals for others, and other's manuals for us, the more emotional suffering we can avoid. So Now What?#1 Increase Your Awareness. Manipulation, People-Pleasing, and Manuals all have one thing in common . . . They are all efforts to control or change someone else or something outside of your control. It's important to be aware of these, both when others are trying to control you, and when you are trying to control someone else. As you increase your awareness, you will likely notice two things; you will see it when others are doing this to you, and you will see it when you are trying to do it to others.#2 Increase Your IntentionalityI say this all the time, but be the change you want to see!You can't change your teen, your parents, your spouse, or your in-laws, but you CAN, 100%, change you. Rather than focusing on what you want THEM to do differently (dropping their manuals or their manipulating ways) focus on what YOU can control (dropping your manuals or your manipulating ways). Be intentional about how you parent your teens. This will empower you. This will help you reconnect with your teen. Often we are guilty of perpetuating People-Pleasing when we teach our kids to worry about "hurting someone's feelings" or "making them feel bad."#3 Choose Love and CompassionIt's not our job to get others to quit manipulating, people-pleasing, or to drop their manuals. That would be manipulating them to follow our manual. But, WE DO NOT have to be the victim. We are not responsible for others' emotions. We get to live our lives, how we want, and we can be committed to loving the other person no matter what. On this week’s episode of “I’m a Millionaire. So Now What?” I want to introduce you to Carley Schelck. Carly’s the epitome of everything I love and admire in the Self Made Nation.
So, now what? Today I'll show you... The “unexpected” allows us to go so much deeper than what we thought we would, should, or could…to discover what’s really there. The NEXT… It allows us to find out and discover what’s there in our NOW, to create the NEXT. So…Now What? Sometimes this can be the scariest question after something unexpected happens, or something new is about to begin. So instead, I encourage you to look at NOW and NEXT. That's right... NOW. AND. NEXT. You’re at the crossroad, and you must make a decision to go right or left. Are you going right or left? Are you going the way that’s right for you? OR… Are you going to “left” — to leave it — to leave yourself? To leave it all? Start with…Now. Why? If you’re not HERE. NOW. then you’re going to be NOWHERE. Then, WHAT NOW? Not, now what? BUT... What Now? Then… Now. When? There’s no greater WHEN then NOW. There’s no greater WAY to go to NEXT then from (and through) NOW. NOW. NEXT. How? Now. And. Now. NOW + NOW is kind of like 1 + 1. It doesn’t equal 2…it equals 11. Now + Now is exponential!! The NOW NEXT MOVEMENT is catapulted and fueled by NOW. AND. NOW. What are you willing to do NOW and NOW to move to NOW…NEXT? Only YOU can answer that for yourself. You can move from feeling like you’re drowning…to sipping. Feeling like it’s overcoming you...to overcoming. By BECOMING in the process of NOW AND NOW. Moving from NOW to NEXT. Please grab your SACRED S.O.L. D.A.T.E. JOURNAL (Daily Action To Engage yourself.) TODAY’S SACRED S.O.L. STEP: Write down what you see right here in the NOW. When did you last leave a networking event or online forum feeling enlightened, inspired, motivated, and reassured? If you’re an introvert, do these kinds of gatherings usually leave you exhausted? What if you could leave an online roundtable of your peers, business owners, founders and CEOs, feeling energized? If you’re in, you’re going to want to listen to my next episode of “I’m a Millionaire. So Now What? ” I’m back with another edition of Elevated Conversations, my virtual dinner parties that leave you feeling ALL of the above. The way we live and do business is evolving. And we talk about it all! When I say we talk about it all – I mean business – our last event opened with a quote by Marcus Aurelius (!!) “The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.” Many of you in the Self Made Nation have experienced periods of upheaval, and yet you’re still here. Because you changed direction in order to achieve success – you used an impediment to force positive action. BOOM. Chaos became control. In the podcast we explore three distinct steps or disciplines that help you get back into the habit of turning chaos into control: Perception: discipline of the mind Action: discipline of the body Will: discipline of the heart & soul The mindset behind looking at obstacles as the gas that drives your success is a very powerful weapon that can help you and your organization get through what’s happening now – as well as what’s hiding around the corner. Because there definitely will be another obstacle down the road (hopefully nothing like Covid, of course). The next roundtable is coming up on July 6th – I hope you’ll join me!
In today’s episode of “I’m a Millionaire. So Now What?” the focus is on self-care. Last year, the BDC did a study on entrepreneurs and mental health. Here’s what they found: ✅ Two thirds of us feel depressed at least once a week ✅ Female entrepreneurs whose enterprises are in the growth or early stages are more likely to report mental health issues. ✅ Nearly half say that mental health issues interfere with their ability to work This was last year. Add the economic uncertainty of Covid-19 into the mix, plus global societal unrest - I imagine those numbers are much higher. That’s why self-care is so important. I run to de-stress. What do you do? I took a break this week from regular scheduled programming. I wanted, instead, to just spend some time being thankful. For each and every member of the Self-Made Nation. For the fact that I’m blessed with the ability to run, to get outside in the fresh air and sunshine, and to feel safe doing so. Because at the end of the day, we're all human beings. We're human beings before we are a CEO. We're human beings before we are a founder. We are human beings before we're a business owner. I hope you find some peace listening to my story.
On this week’s episode of “I’m a Millionaire. So Now What?” we ditch the interview format to welcome you to join a new venture! We're all working in a new reality of physical distancing, and we all need guidance when it comes to pivoting and changing how we bring value to our audience, customers, and clients. So…..
Today on “I'm a Millionaire. So Now What?” – meet serial entrepreneur Karla Briones! Born in Mexico, Karla and her (also entrepreneurial!) family immigrated when she was a teen. Today, she juggles being a wife and mom with running multiple businesses online and off, and a consulting company helping immigrants succeed in business. We chat about: ✅ How resilience should be the backbone of all entrepreneurs (especially as we all face the economic uncertainty of Covid-19). ✅ How “do what you love” (yes, there’s a puppy story!) propelled her into her first business. ✅ And the good and bad about being a franchisee. She’s also behind an important initiative to feed frontline healthcare workers. Karla’s mission is to build the strongest, most thriving and collaborative immigrant entrepreneurship ecosystem in the world. One newcomer at a time. Her Immigrant Entrepreneur Academy is going to be a digital platform where newcomers will gain knowledge, access mentorship through a network of other successful immigrant entrepreneurs, and access funding so that they can launch, incubate and accelerate their businesses, anywhere in Canada and in any industry. She’s a shining example of the Self-Made Nation - one of society's true wealth creators and someone that we need to celebrate because she has given so much to our communities. I hope you enjoy her story! I would also LOVE to share YOUR story. If you’re interested, drop me a line.
In this week’s episode of “I'm a Millionaire. So Now What?” we’re going to talk about how important it is to keep the wheels turning and the economy moving during this period of uncertainty. No one really knows for sure how long Covid-19 will last. When people’s lives return to normal and cities and towns start opening up again! But when it happens – you’ll regret it if you’ve had the brakes on the entire time. My guest this week is Robert Hill, owner at commercial office furniture company Nua Office Inc. Their company ethos is built on relationship-building and helping clients succeed based on listening, building trust and transparency. He’s a firm believer in doing whatever you can to keep making money during this chaos. Obviously, DON’T hoard toilet paper and hand sanitizer and sell it to people at a massive markup!! Don’t be that guy! But, if you can, definitely keep working. Don’t be apologetic about it. Don’t worry about the possibility of negative feedback. Think about ways you could pivot your business to provide value during Covid-19 Robert’s also a mental health advocate and talks at length about the importance of managing stress as a business owner in times of crisis. Have a listen. I think you’ll enjoy it. “I think it's actually a disservice if we hold back from providing those strategies because we're afraid of the negative backlash, that we're selling something in an environment where so many people are, are fearful and in crisis and legitimately in crisis as well, but it doesn't serve anyone to hold back on a strategy or a solution right now.” “I certainly don't want to make it sound like anyone who lays people off is doing a disservice there, people just don't have the cash, like, don't have the money to pay these people to keep working. But in order for them to beat that, make sure there's a company for them to come back to in three or four months!!” “Make these prudent decisions and lean on the government with unemployment and stuff like that. It's a very dynamic situation. But, but yeah, you have to keep positive. If nothing else, keep as positive as possible because it really doesn't do anybody any good.” Listen to I'm A Millionaire! I know I don’t usually do two podcasts in one week, but these are special times, folks. Many of us in the Self-Made Nation are trying to navigate through this difficult economic slowdown due to COVID-19. You probably have questions about what’s available to you from a business subsidy standpoint via the Canadian government. And I went to one of the best to bring you some answers! This week’s “I'm a Millionaire. So Now What?” special guest is Anjali Dilawri, Partner at Ottawa-based public accounting firm Logan Katz. She’s going to help us unbundle and digest the government programs in Canada that have been created to support us as business owners to support entrepreneurs and founders. We slice and dice:

In this week’s episode of “I'm a Millionaire. So Now What?” we’re going to talk about the elephant in the room. Covid-19. Right now, most businesses/entrepreneurs are faced with mounting economic uncertainty – the likes of which they’ve probably never encountered before. The stock market is a roller-coaster ride, unemployment is soaring, and stress and anxiety levels are sky-high. No one’s playing down this pandemic and the impact it’s having globally. It’s a terribly sad situation. And one we’re all taking very seriously. But, it’s also something over which we have no control. And that “lack of control” is what can send us into a tailspin. You know what you can control, Self-Made Nation? How your business functions through this unprecedented event. Listen in if you want to explore ways you can: Take action. Make changes. Control the facets of the business that you have control over. Because this too shall pass! And there will dawn a new normal. This episode was a tad bit uncomfortable to record. Some of these suggestions sound a bit counterintuitive. But one thing I’ve learned these past few weeks: one has to be prepared to pivot – even if it feels unseemly - when faced with an occurrence as bonkers as this Covid-19 pandemic. No one wants to be seen as “capitalizing” on global chaos, but the reality is, there are ways you can make money during a recession. Let’s face it – we all need to keep making money or the entire economy will collapse! Keep an eye on your client base – what do they need NOW that you can deliver? Increase expenditures (hint: do what you can to keep your name front and center). Find ways to change how your company operates (think dine-in restaurants now doing take-away). Steal – legally! (No, really, this will make sense when you listen – and yes, it’s legal!). To quote the brilliant business leader Cameron Herold (from whose book “Double Double” I’ve pulled the above tips), “When you have the word recession on your mind, it prevents you from thinking positively and focusing on growth—especially doubling your company in three years or less!” There’s lots more from Cameron Herold in today’s podcast – he has no fear – he wouldn’t be as successful as he is if he did – and he goes all-in when it comes to what to do to stay afloat in times of crisis. I hope you enjoy it. Listen to I'm A Millionaire! So Now What? on iTunes.

‘Twas the week of Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds' sofa row, the ‘tube pusher' is charged with attempted murder and the president of Colombia warns against the hypocrisy of the “woke who do coke”. Dolly's obsessed with Pink Gin Lady - her new summer meme - and Pandora's perturbed by Charmin's industrial-sized ‘Forever Roll' for millennials (do we hate shopping for basic sanitation? Or do we just shit more?) In this week's ep we discuss the #sponcon leak that blew up the internet - after the ‘pitch deck' for New York influencer and Goop Partnership Director, Marissa Casey Fuchs, was leaked to The Atlantic. Does she deserve the white hot wrath of the Internet? And what does this incident tell us about the celebrification of everyone, schadenfreude and our consumer obsession with free shit? Also today, a new survey has revealed that 72% of Brits ‘recoil' when they hear another Brit abroad. In “Time to Go Public” Rodney shares one of the answers to the question, “So---Now What?” Christians should ask themselves in light of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. An overlooked responsibility of some Christians is that of water baptism. Jesus chose water baptism as the way for his followers to publically identify themselves as Christ-followers. The most clear and obvious reason we believe every Christ follower should be baptized in water is Jesus said to do it. It is that simple. Baptism identifies you with Jesus. Following Jesus Christ demands a public response, a personal response, and a practical response. The meaning, symbolism, and experience of water baptism are amazingly wonderful. Jesus is not calling you to live in the shallows on the shore of life but to take the complete plunge and be immersed by the HS into Christ. Come on in the water feels great. It’s time to go public.
In “So Now”, Rodney shares the resurrection of Jesus celebrated on Easter is the climax of 3½ years of public ministry with his disciples. So---now what? Many think, even some Christians, that the resurrection of Jesus is the end of the story. That couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, Easter is the introduction to a whole new way of living. Before Jesus left the disciples he gave all his followers clear instructions on what’s next. For Christians, Easter isn’t an ending, but a new beginning. Jesus spoke clear instructions to his disciples on what they were to do now that Jesus was preparing to leave them to continue his work. He begins with a command to “Love each other.” When we do this it proves to the world the genuineness of our faith in Christ. Loving each other is one of the answers to the question, “So---Now What?”
