POPULARITY
Almost a year to the day since the recording of our first episode, and we bring the year full-circle with a viewing of the sequel of the movie featured in Ep. 1, in this case, Thankskilling 3. Thankskilling 3:Turkie is back, and pissed that his sequel Thankskilling 2 has been destroyed without being viewed. So, he has to blaze a path of destruction and death to recover the last copy. There's also some character named Yomi who does some dumb shit. There are two other idiots who want to make an amusement park called Thanksgivingland. Their paths cross and they have to help each other. A robot and a worm also take up your time. It's a puppet movie. Thankskilling 3 final grade: Steve The story wasn't bad. Could have been a good movie if it were shorter with more Turkie and less dumb shit. 1.5/5.0 Brandon The movie mentioned the "compliment sandwich,' so here it goes. Compliment: The movie was better than Wrong Cops. Criticism: The movie was too long and too shitty. Compliment: The movie eventually ended. 1.5/5.0 Cocktail of the Week: "It's Fall! Let's Drink Cider" 1 1/2 oz Cinnamon Whiskey Apple Cider Club Soda Steve's creation for the anniversary party. Build this one in the glass, like a regular person. Ice in a glass. Add whiskey, then cider, and top with club soda for some fizz. Easy peasy. Cocktail Grade: A simple-yet-delicious seasonal concoction. Tastes great. You do run the risk of having too much, though, if you're not pacing yourself. 5/5 ------------------ Contact us with feedback or cocktail/movie recommendations to: boozeandbmovies@gmail.com X: @boozeandbmovies Instagram: @boozeandbmovies Threads: @boozeandbmovies www.facebook.com/boozeandbmovies --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/boozeandbmovies/support

Alright, beer enthusiasts, buckle up for the wild ride that is ThanksKilling 3 (2012). Imagine a movie so audacious that it skips the number 2 entirely. Our feathered antagonist, Turkey, is back, and this time he's on a quest for the last copy of ThanksKilling 2. Why? Because it holds the key to some cosmic power or something... I dunno it makes no sense. So, crack open a beer, gather your friends, and dive into ThanksKilling 3. It's a cinematic experience that's as puzzling as choosing which craft beer to pair with your popcorn. Cheers to the wacky world of ThanksKilling!---"Fowl-mouthed villain Turkie carves through the likes of a rapping grandma, a mindless puppet, a wig-wearing inventor, a bisexual space worm, and their equally ridiculous friends on his quest to recover the last copy of "ThanksKilling 2"."
Turkie is back and trying to find the last copy of "Thankskilling 2", but is up against a puppet with no brain, a space worm, and a guy with a dream of a thanksgiving themed amusment park. Thanks to Jeff Straw for our intro.
Happy Thanksgiving, Dear Listeners! We are apologizing in advance as Rae has Bronchitis and may sound like Bea Arthur. If this does something for you...keep it to yourself. The ladies are celebrating the start of the holiday season with earth's crust level budget T-horror, Thankskilling (2008) featuring a murderous fowl named Turkie who leaves a trail of gravy flavored condoms in his wake. Then to finish off the month, we're throwing elbows to get our hands on the biggest toys of the season with 2021's Black Comedy, starring Devon Sawa and Bruce Campbell. A story about puppets, Thanksgiving Land, a missing movie, and a space worm.Listen in as me and returning guest, Devon, pull on our stretchy pants and sit down to feast on the sequel to the infamous ThanksKilling. We wanted a meal, but it ended up feeling like a forced enema.Directed by Jordan Downey (ThanksKilling, The Head Hunter) and co-written by Downey, Mike Will Downey (ThanksKilling 3), and Kevin Stewart (ThanksKilling, The Head Hunter), Cinema Head Cheese called the film "so incredibly bad, it defies the worst possible criticism, and ultimately, it proves absolutely zany-wonderful to behold," while Splatter Critic said it was "a general mess that rarely makes sense." I'm gonna have to side with Splatter Critic on this one. Spoiler alert: we didn't like this film. Sorry ThanksKilling crew. You did MUCH better when you had less money. It tells the story of Turkie from the first film hunting down the last copy of ThanksKilling 2, a film that was so bad every copy but one was destroyed. There are lots of puppets (for some reason) and a duo of Thanksgiving-obsessed dudes who want to make a theme park dedicated to the holiday. Confused? Well, it only goes downhill from here. Honestly, why couldn't ThanksKilling 3 meet the same fate as part 2?The film is currently available on Indie Club via Prime Video Channels, Pluto TV, Tubi, and Prime Video for rent or purchase.
Happy Thanksgiving, Christmas Fanatics! Can you believe it's Turkey day already? We certainly can't! This year is flying by! But, we didn't want to let this oft-overlooked holiday pass without expressing our gratitude to each and every one of you for all of the love and support you show our little show all year 'round! As such, we present to you this special bonus episode in which Julia, Thom, and Anthony discuss the cult-classic, "Thankskilling"! Listen as the elves break down one of the worst, the cheapest, and most baffling movies they've covered since "Tis the Podcast" began! Is this a case of a film being "so bad it's good"? Or is there nothing redeemable about this story of teenage stereotypes being hunted down by a bad muppet of a Turkey named Turkie? You'll just have to tune in to find out! Because despite the subject matter, this is one hysterical episode you want to make sure not to miss! So, tonight, after you've eaten more than your fair share of Thanksgiving dinner, put your feet up, unbutton those trousers, and enjoy this fun episode! And, once again, Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! We hope your holiday was filled with love, happiness, gratitude, family, friends, food, drinks, parades, football, "Friends" episodes, and "Peanuts" holiday specials!

So, we thought in honor of our one year adventure into cinema; we might honor the brain baby of 'an excuse to watch bad movies' by digging into two bad movies and really showing what we're thankful for. Thankskilling has always been a favorite of mine as far as 'bad' movies go. So we paired that with the sequel Thankskilling 3! Turned out, neither of us enjoyed that one. The Steves celebrate Thanksgiving by discussing three of their favorite Thanksgiving movies, while discussing other songs and shows along the way! What's Making Us Happy? Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is everything both Steves had hoped for, while Steve is psyched the Suncoast Senior CARE Awards and all of his hard work paying off beautifully!Binge and Purge: HBO Max has been keeping us busy with Haute Dog, featuring Steve's newest crush, Matth Rogers, as well as Stephen's, Robin Theedy, and Legendary, a ballroom competition that we rate 10s across the board! Meanwhile, Steve binged The Circle, a social media competition on Netflix, and is glad he is married and doesn't have to worry about catfish and found it enjoyable.Thanksgiving Songs- Shout outs to Crazy Ex-Girlfriends "I Give Good Parent" as Steve's favorite Thanksgiving song, with Adam Sandler's Thanksgiving song and Turkey Lurkey honorable mentions from Stephen.Thanksgiving Televsion- Buffy's Pangs ages better than you would think, considering it's about a Native American Warrior Spirit who is only sad that Caucasian's raped and murdered all their people but Buffy and the gang still have to kill it! Meanwhile, Gossip Girl's Thanksgiving episodes are still as scandelous as ever and has Stephen psyched for the remake.A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving- The Steves discuss this 1973 Emmy-winning special, filled with tons of fun facts from Stephen's time working for Scripts, the company that owns The Peanuts, while also discussing some of their family traditions along the way.Son-in-Law- Stephen pops Steve's Pauly Shore cherry with this 1993 comedy, Son-in-Law, A 'fish out of water' story where Pauly Shore is a wild California who finds himself falling for a country girl, Carla Gugino, and her family. This also happens to be the first lesbian kiss Stephen ever saw!Thankskilling- Earning our first explicit rating, we discuss the 2008 beautiful garbage dump of a movie, Thankskilling! One of the cheapest and most offensive movies we've seen in recent years, it circles it's way all the way back around to amazing and delightful. Not for the faint of heart, Turkie is raised from the dead by a Native American Necromancy after the first Thanksgiving to kill all the Caucasian's he can find every 505 years, and he does so in some of the most ridiculously graphic ways one might expect from a 14 inch tall fake turkey.Don't forget to e-mail us at happylifepod@gmail.com or visit us on Facebook to get involved in the conversation! facebook.com/happylifepodHappy Thanksgiving everyone, and stay happy!Support the show

On this week's edition of The Plotaholics Podcast, Shane and Bryan tackle the modern-day Thanksgiving Classic (?) ThanksKilling. This 2008 horror, black comedy film was written, directed by Jordan Downey. Downey also lends his voice talents to Turkie, a demonic turkey unleashed by a Native American Shaman during the first Thanksgiving. Turkie becomes active when his resting grounds are desecrated or disrespected. When a group of five college students on Thanksgiving Break run a fowl of his land, they are soon stalked by the wise-cracking, master-of-disguise, Turkie. This film offers you everything you didn't know you needed (?): naked pilgrims, topless rednecks, an afterlife where there are no turkeys, and an extra small gravy flavored condom. Do not watch this film alone. Trust us on this. Gobble, gobble mother fuc$ers! Support the show (https://plotaholics.com)

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Welcome to the 2014 Grave Plot Podcast Thanksgiving special. Following last year's mini special review of ThanksKilling, we review the sequel, ThanksKilling 3. Turkie is back on a new rampage with new puppets, powdered wigs, and the Pluck Master 3000. We also reviewed Home Sweet Home, a 1981 slasher film about Body By Jake escaping from a mental institution and runs roughshod through a rag-tag group's Thanksgiving celebration. For our turkey day edition of Horror Business, we tackle the latest on the TV adaptation of Evil Dead. Speaking of Evil Dead, the team behind the remake has a new project called A Man in the Dark. In the latest edition of "They're Remaking That? Really?" we discuss The Wolfman being remade yet again, only four years after the last time. This leads into a conversation about the entire Universal monster reboot scenario and why it's doomed to fail. We then move on to a trio of sequels, including Hocus Pocus 2, The Conjuring 2, and Insidious: Chapter 3. We also discuss the world of video games, namely a movie that dives into the Splatterhouse universe (bit.ly/Splatfilm), as well as the new slasher PC game Last Year (kickstarter.com/projects/lastyear/last-year-5-vs-1-multiplayer-survival-horror). We go on to discuss Eric England's Get The Girl, USA's "Evil Men," and Stephen King's The Talisman. We even make a call to our resident Stephen King expert, SkeleJohn. Speaking of Stephen King, we have an update on The Stand adaptation. We also have updates on Crooked Lake, From Hell, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, and Krampus. We also tell you about a new Christmas-themed haunted house (chamberofhorrorsny.com/very-scary-xmas/) as well as the new horror game show from Tommy - er, Jason - Blum. We had some technical difficulties towards the end of the episode, we hope that doesn't take away from your enjoyment. So get stuffed from the Grave Plot Podcast.
