Many times we see a car wreck after it has happened with lots of traffic, police officers, and ambulances.  But have you ever come upon one at the moment it happened?  Did you stop to help them? Did it cross your mind? Or did you just hurry on to where you were going? I think that is most of us, thinking there are many other people, to stop and help. In 2009 on a very busy highway in Dallas Texas, that very thing happened to me.  A wreak had literally just happened.  I was in a hurry, I had agreed to pick up one of my daughter's friends from cheer practice. It was after dark and in an unfamiliar location not close to our home, and I couldn't be late. In an instant, I felt a strong and very clear feeling to STOP and help the person in the car! Across a 5 lane highway.  There was no negotiating that I didn't have time, I had to go help! What came next was one of the most miraculous stories of my life and to this day still is. Listen to this heartfelt testimony of how God can move in our lives and Angels are at work when we are not even aware!Other helpful links:Amazing Grace RetreatsThe Road AdventureBlue Diamond Roofing & ConstructionIf you have enjoyed these podcasts and would like to support the show, click on the Patreon link below.Patreon MembershipBe sure to turn on your notifications for the Amazing Grace talk podcast on your preferred listening platform! Thanks for all of your love and support!

I asked her to prom and we began dating. She started attending church with me and gave her life to Jesus in July. We dated all that summer and in January of our senior year, I proposed, Susie turned 18 in February, I turned 18 in May, we graduated June 3rd and we got married on July 18th at 2:30 in the afternoon and left at 6:30 that evening headed for Texas and have been here ever since. I graduated from CFNI in May of 1983 and became a career firefighter in 1985. We have three children, 2 daughters, and one son, and now have 5 grandchildren. In July of 2017, Susie was diagnosed with breast cancer. It started a year of chemo, surgery, more chemo, and radiation. Through it all, she had NOT ONE OUNCE OF NAUSEA OR VOMITING and we've never heard of anyone going through that like that. God blessed her mightily and used her to minister to others going through cancer during that time with her spirit and attitude. Imagine you meet the man or woman of your dreams.  You date for several months then decide to get married. Yet on your honeymoon you quickly realize something is terribly wrong...and the thought crosses your mind: "Did I make a huge mistake!" Host Erika Seamayer-Williamson invites Pastor Becky Hennesy into the studio to discuss the topic of marriage. Why do so many marriages struggle to get off the launch pad? Why do so many marriages (even within the Church) end in divorce? Although she's been married for nearly 42 years now, Becky and her husband Jim have had more than their share of trials...and pain so bad that Becky admits she actually hated Jim during the first few years of their marriage. Yet, they had to keep a front to the rest of the world because they served in pastoral ministry. The double life nearly destroyed their marriage yet the power of the Holy Spirit, divine intervention, and personal soul-searching led them to rebuild their marriage on a solid and loving foundation.  Today Jim and Becky are co-lead pastors at Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, Texas. Their marriage is now strong, healthy and happy...and both agreed years ago to let their marital struggles be an open book and serve as a cautionary tale for others.  Other helpful links:Amazing Grace RetreatsThe Road AdventureTrinity ChurchBlue Diamond Roofing & ConstructionThe Girl for ThatIf you have enjoyed these podcasts and would like to support the show, click on the Patreon link below.Patreon Membership

Erika Laine was attending Black Hills State University just 15 miles away from Sturgis, South Dakota where she graduated high school a couple of years prior.   Her mother,  Erika married her 5th grade boyfriend Erik Williamson and had moved back to Texas where they are originally from.  It was Good Friday when Erika received the call that Erika Laine had actually had a Grand mal seizure at work and had been admitted to Spearfish Hospital. Alopecia. Sounds like a beach resort town or a fancy Italian dish. But as host Erika Seamayer-Williamson learns in this episode, alopecia is neither. Rather, it's a medical condition that occurs when the immune system attacks hair follicles, and may be brought on by severe stress.Imagine you're 15, captain of your high school drill team, with a beautiful head full of blonde wavy hair...and one day you discover you have alopecia. You're entire teenage world would be turned upside down. That's what happened to Ginny Baker, the featured guest on this episode of Amazing Grace Talk. Her discussion with Erika traces Ginny's life's journey through many doctor visits, medical treatments, self-image issues, public perceptions, wigs, hats, and how she handled hair returning then falling off again....numerous times throughout the last 15-20 years. With her loving mom by her side they did in fact find a treatment that worked and also found a makeup artist who was able to tattoo her eyebrows and eyeliner for her so that she could feel "normal" again and make getting ready in the morning easier and less stressful. Ginny has embraced this condition with grace and even humor. One of Ginny's favorite Bible verses is Luke 12:7 "Even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows." The journey of Cyllas and Thais Marins from their home country to the Dallas area is a story that perfectly illustrates why the AGT podcast exists. It's painful but heartfelt trail that touches all the bases of amazing grace. Forgiveness. Reconciliation. Redemption. With endearing and winsome Brazilian accents, the Marins share their story of how God intervened in a big way, even moving them to the United States (with no working knowledge of English). Once in America, God also sent them back to a Bible college for more training. A few years before back in Brazil, the Marins were caught in the crossfire and aftermath of their lead pastor's moral failure. What made it so painful and personal was the fact their lead pastor was also Cyllas' own father. As Cyllas was left to pick up the pieces, things turned even worse. He and Thais were subject to unthinkable betrayal, devastating ridicule, and abandoned relationships from their own friends and church members. When sin is discovered in the camp, the collateral damage within the Body of Christ is often too difficult to overcome. But by God's amazing grace, the Marins overcame...and today they are flourishing in their new ministry at Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, Texas.
