Drum roll, please! For the first time ever, the Carearing podcast has not one but TWO male guests on the show, Scott Joseph, CEO of J&L Marketing, and Sandy Cerami, CEO of Sandy Cerami and Associates. On this important episode Sandy and Scott bravely take on what is needed from our male counterparts to enable women to be the rightful leaders they are - and I have to tell you, their answer may surprise you! In addition we share what's in store for the Business Bourbon and Cigars mastermind event in Louisville in September and really get down to the most pressing question of all - in a boat race, would Sandy or Scott take the winning title? Today's guest, April Simmons, is so special because she has agreed to bravely take us where we have not gone before - a frank discussion on societal preconceived roles and how difficult it is to be the breadwinner as the female in the family. While most of us agree that it is wonderful to support our family in this way, it's no secret that this dynamic is rife with opportunities for hurt feelings, misunderstandings and shame. Join April and I as we explore this explosive topic and help each other unpack what it means for women, and men, and how we can help each of the family members rise in the roles they have chosen. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/laurie-halter/message

Introducing Jenna Swigert, Regional VP of Sales, for Open Table. In addition to be an amazing executive, Jenna is happily married to a fellow entrepreneur, is an amazing mom to two kids and is a shining light who just “gets it”. In this episode Katie and I discuss the idea of making plans for the different seasons of your life, how to balance your goals with a growing family, and why the idea of organic expectations is taboo in her house. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/laurie-halter/message
