Our guest today is Aaron Hopkinson. He is the coach for the IronCowboy race team. I met Aaron back in the summer of 2020 when I hired him as my coach to train me for my first six day run. Over the past seven years he has completed some amazing adventures with his team and I brought him on today to share those experiences. His first big adventure was back in 2014 when he helped crew the IronCowboy James Lawrence for his 50/50/50 , that's 50 Ironman distance triathlons in 50 states in 50 days. Incredible accomplishment. His next big journey was back in 2019 when he teamed up with James and two other racers to compete in the Worlds Toughest race in Fiji. It was a 10 day multi stage race covering over 600 km. That leads us up to his most recent adventure starting March 2021 win the Iron Cowboy race team started the Conquer 101. That is 101 full distance triathlons in 101 days, this time staying in one city and being able to focus fully on recovery and racing. Aaron decided to do the bike portion of the 101 every day which is 114 miles everyday for 101 days, that came out to 11,514 miles over 101 days. Basically like crossing the United States almost 3 1/2 times on the bike. It's an amazing accomplishment in itself. I highly recommend you check out his coaching program he knows what he's doing. Hi Everyone! I am bringing you another special episode for you guys today. I have team Margo with me today. Margo, her daughter Andrea and Dr. Steven Zanfini come on the podcast today to tell us their journey of recovery after Margo had a brain aneurysm back in 2017. Andrea found her mom Margo in her home roughly 19 hours after the aneurysm happened. The doctors told Andrea her mom has a 0% chance of making it because of how long her brain was filling up with blood. They did immediate surgery to install a coil in the aneurysm which prevents blood from getting into it. After that only time could tell if she would recover or not. That’s when the road to recovery began. Andrea shares her experience with caring for her mother and finally making the decision to be her primary care taker to ensure she gets the best care and opportunity to heal. Andrea walks us through her process to remove most of her moms pharmaceuticals and replace them with all natural holistic remedies( essential oils, CBD, celery juice, and more). After about a year and a half of rehab and recovery Andrea found Dr. Steve Zanfini of Complete Chiropractic and that’s where Team Margo was born. Dr. Steve’s approach and understanding of functional neurology really helped Margo’s progress in recovery. Dr. Steve tells the story of how he was able to get Margo from non-verbal to verbal after using his cold laser on the brain and a few other tricks. It’s an amazing story I hope you all enjoy! Dr. Steve returns on this episode and brings on two of his patients Marissa and her daughter Becky. They are here to share their journey with us in hopes of helping other families going through the same situations. Marissa explained to us that Becky became severely sick back in 2018. They had lived in two different homes with mold present and they think that’s where these symptoms came from. Marissa took her to numerous doctors and couldn’t get any answers to what was going on. Marissa describes Becky would be crying in pain saying her skin was on fire, she lost the ability to focus on anything, do school work, be social, and had terrible gastrointestinal problems. We discuss how they found Dr. Steve and how the 2nd miracle came from Marissa doing the same treatments as her daughter In Dr. Steve’s office and has lost 100 in the last 10 months. Dr. Steve talks to us about functional neurology and how stimulating certain parts of the brain that aren’t firing have huge benefits. It was a joy to hear their success stories and I hope this can find other families possibly going through the same thing. If you would like more information about the treatments discussed please call Dr. Steven Zanfini @ Complete Chiropractic in Stuart, FL.
