The N.R.I. Woman podcast is a truly inspiring and uplifting show that highlights the stories of diverse NRI women from all over the world. Hosted by Bettina and Ninorah, it brings a fresh perspective to the podcasting world by showcasing the experiences, challenges, and triumphs of these incredible women. The collection of stories shared on this podcast is truly wonderful, and I can't wait to hear more.

One of the best aspects of The N.R.I. Woman podcast is the beautiful and inspiring stories that are shared in each episode. From personal experiences to professional journeys, every story is unique and moving. The hosts, Bettina and Ninorah, have a warm and engaging presence that makes you feel connected to the guests and their journeys. Their voices are pleasant to listen to, which adds to the overall enjoyment of the show.

Another great aspect of this podcast is its ability to transcend gender, race, and culture. While it focuses on NRI women, anyone can find something relatable in these stories. The topics covered are universal and touch on important subjects such as mental health, body image, disability, and more. This inclusivity is commendable and makes this podcast accessible to a wide range of listeners.

As for drawbacks, there aren't many evident in The N.R.I. Woman podcast. One thing that could improve is the frequency of episodes released. It would be great if there were more frequent releases so that listeners can enjoy new content regularly. However, this is a minor issue compared to the overall quality of the show.

In conclusion, The N.R.I Woman podcast is an exceptional show that deserves recognition for its powerful storytelling and inclusive approach. It provides a platform for women from different backgrounds to share their experiences while also offering valuable insights for listeners. With excellent hosting skills and meaningful conversations, it's clear that Bettina and Ninorah have created something special with this podcast. Addiction is a progressive mental illness. Mehek Gidwani shares her story of addiction, recovery and now living a sober life. She was born and raised in Hong Kong and had her first interaction with alcohol and drugs at the tender age of thirteen. The drug didn't seem like a drug. It was a natural thing found around the house. What started as a fun, exhilarating experience and way to fit in with friends quickly progressed to full-blown addiction by the age of fifteen. She was torn, one part of her wanting help, wanting to get better, and the other part was utterly fighting and trying to push it away. Rehab became a huge turning point in her life. Her values, how she viewed the world, her relationship with herself completely changed and she was able to forgive herself and come to a place of acceptance. Sonia Anand believes stillness is the key to restoring the balance within ourselves and on a larger scale the world. She thinks when the organic beauty of our soul evolves through gentle practices we automatically begin to radiate love health and positivity to the universe. Sonia was like most of us, wearing many hats at the same time. From raising her young kids, managing the home to juggling her corporate job, Sonia felt like she was being pulled in ten different directions at the same time. This overly scheduled and hard life left her feeling physically exhausted most of the time. It reached a point where she was so stressed with the daily routine that she thought she couldn't take it anymore. It was at this point she was diagnosed with depression. She sought the necessary treatment needed to help her get on track, but she also knew she needed something more. She decided to explore Yoga to help her cope with the depression. That decision changed the course of her life. She eventually went on to give up her corporate career and decided to pursue life as a Yoga teacher and Acharya or spiritual leader. She hasn't looked back since. She has found a connection with her inner-self through yoga, meditation and stillness and she hopes that in sharing the skills she learnt, will help others connect with themselves. Our guest, Padmini Gupta, is an Oxford graduate, World Economic Forum Fellow and a social entrepreneur tackling a USD 5 billion industry in the Middle East. She combines her passion for solving social issues with building an enterprise that is sustainable and profitable. RISE, her fintech company, is her first foray as a social entrepreneur, and she hopes to change the lives of the 750,000 maids and nannies currently working in the UAE so they can upskill and plan for a better future for themselves. Padmini shares her story of why she thinks the world needs more social entrepreneurs and how to raise the next generation more aware of the social circumstances around them. "It was many years ago I met Elie Wiesel, the illustrious writer, and Nobel Laureate. I told him how he inspired me and how I wished to live his values. But today's a day that made me realize I already am. He once wrote “No human race is superior; no religious faith is inferior. All collective judgments are wrong. Only racists make them.” Today was a day of many highs, of moms and dads sharing stories about how they had encouraged and helped their nannies move to their dream careers, and Nannies that were encouraged by my message and wished they had the courage to share it with their employers (some of whom called me in an angry fit and said my message had offended them.) I work to empower the women who empower other women and men, to break down these barriers that we hold so dear. I work to keep racism, sexism, poverty away. I work for nannies, for maids, for drivers, for cooks, and I work for mothers who want to see their helpers grow. I work to break down these collective views of the angry women and to amplify the voices of the invisible, and those who support them. I work because I value humanity more than political correctness". - Padmini Gupta   Connect with the guests: Website: https://www.gorise.co Email: padmini@gorise.co Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GrowWithRise/ If you like what you hear, please tell your friends about us and do subscribe to our Podcast. Feng Shui means wind and water and is a traditional Chinese concept linking the destiny of a man to his environment. Samita Khanna is a master consultant of Feng Shui with over twenty years of practice. The fundamental principle is that energy known in China as "Chi" flows through one's environment and all objects possess chi that can be used to bring luck, wealth and opportunity into one's home or business environment. It's believed the reverse is also true. As an example, we’ve all had years where things move in the direction we want it to, everything is smooth and effortless, and then there are years where everything is a struggle. One needs to look back and see when did this start, was it when they moved to a new home or was it when space was redecorated. So many things could have contributed to one inadvertently fostering negative chi. Samita has seen first hand how Feng Shui has transformed her life and she shares tips to help you get started to foster the right chi in your lives. From a psychotherapist to a makeup consultant after a 20-year gap, our guest today Sanyukta Kumar is an exemplar of new beginnings. She moved to a new country with her kids when the youngest one was just three months old and her older daughter was four. Sanky, as she is lovingly known, decided like so many of us do, with a move and new additions to the family, to take a break from her job. When she was ready to go back to her career, she found that it was not an option. The laws of the country demanded that her practice is current. The break meant she could not continue as a psychotherapist, a job she is passionate about and loves. That didn't stop her though, and she embarked on an entirely new career as a makeup consultant and launched a consultancy "Blend by Sanky" where she teaches women makeup application techniques. She believes makeup is more than just about beautifying oneself. She thinks makeup done well helps one feel positive and face the world with quiet confidence.
