Great reasons why Decluttr is the best option to sell your sell phone on sellcell.com. Also, ways to not get ripped off. Site: https://sellcell.com - Lets you compare the amount of $ different companies will pay you for your cell phone trade-in. musicMagpie's (MMAG) CEO Steve Oliver talks to Proactive London about their company which was established in 2007 with musicMagpie.co.uk providing consumers with cash for their unwanted CDs, DVDs, games and electronics. The company's brands also include Decluttr in the US, which it operates out of a site in Atlanta. Oliver talks about the company's ESG credentials as well as their tech platform, which determines the prices of goods bought and sold. And finally, two recent products include their new Smartphone Rental offering which allows consumers to rent smartphones rather than purchase them outright and their SMARTDrop kiosks, which are found in ASDA and Co-op stores, providing customers with 'instant cash' for their old mobile phone via live inspection of the device in a live, digital environment.
To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1085/29 Selling stuff online is all the rage these days. If you want to get serious about turning your unused items into cash over the internet, you’ve got to know how and where to do it. Today, host Rob West and Steve Moore have some helpful tips. eBay is still one of the biggest and best places to unload items you no longer need, especially for general merchandise. Maybe the best thing about it is that you can sell practically anything there, from toy soldiers to Toyota parts. eBay isn’t the only general merchandiser out there though. You can also check out Bonanza, eBid, and Facebook Marketplace. There are lots of apps geared toward selling stuff right in your area for easy pickup by buyers. Some of the top neighborhood apps for selling things are OfferUp, 5miles, Gone, and NextDoor. For selling clothing online, you can check out ThredUp, Poshmark, Buffalo Exchange, and Tradesy. You won’t make a ton of money selling used clothing items, but it’ll get them out of your closet. If you have a wedding dress you’d like to sell, check out NearlyNewlywed, StillWhite, and PreownedWeddingDresses.com. If you’re getting rid of old electronics, check out Decluttr.com. You log in and get a quote for your old phone, tablet, or game console. If you like the quote, you create an account and complete the order. They’ll email you a postage paid form that you put on a shipping box, and you take that to a UPS store. A day after Decluttr receives the item, you’re paid by direct deposit. Other places to sell used electronics are Gizmogul, Swappa, BuyBackWorld, and Glyde. These sites let you unload almost any personal electronic device, including smartphones, laptops, tablets, and even smartwatches. If you’re looking to sell musical instruments or equipment, eBay offers a special area for selling those items. You can also check out Reverb.com, a site dedicated to buying and selling musical items. If you’re selling collectibles (antique furniture, vinyl records, comic books, etc.), check out Collectors.com and Statricks. You can also use those sites just to get an idea of what your item might be worth. Here are a couple of questions we answered from our callers on today’s program: I’m 55 years old and I got responsible with money later in life; I was very irresponsible with it when I was young. I’ve got about $4,000 in an investment retirement account, I’ve got a 401k with my job, and I’ve only got about $10,000 in savings in a regular account. I’m concerned that I won’t have enough funds to support myself very long when I retire in 10 years. What advice can you give me? My parents are retired and in their early 80s. They own their home but it needs a lot of work. I’m looking for a way to finance all the repairs because it’s just not in our budget. What would you suggest? (Rob mentions Hud.gov). My money-saving, simple activity-loving heart was bursting as I interviewed the lovely and super smart Trae Bodge! She's the real deal! Trae Bodge is an accomplished lifestyle journalist, TV presenter, spokesperson, and educator, specializing in beauty, tech, apps, toys, gift guides, and smart shopping. She's been a guest on the The Rachel Ray Show, Today, Inside Edition, CNN, Reuters, CNBC.com, and so many more. She's featured in Elle, Redbook, InStyle, and Essence, just to name a few! On this episode Trae shares a ton of practical ideas for spending and saving money wisely for us and our kids! Not only do we talk about the best ways to do some shopping right now, she also suggests some summer activities that are both budget and kid-friendly! Here are some of the suggestions she has: Virtual camps While some traditional camps are opening, virtual camps will be a huge thing this year. The American Camp Association is a great resource – you can search by category, free vs. paid and live vs. pre-recorded instruction. Options include nature, technology, arts, sports, you name it. Also, check with the groups where your kids usually go to camp, they might be offering virtual options as well. Free online activities for kids Google has done a great job of creating and curating online content for kids (and adults!). Black Friday- Retailers earn 40% of their sales in this short holiday season time frame. And many of us never cast a shadow in the doorway of a store. We shop online. Seeing the pictures of Black Friday, with people pressed up against the outside of store windows, after fighting for space to park, like some scene from the zombie show The Walking Dead, who really wants to go to a store and be part of that? More and more Americans are shopping online, almost exclusively, and not just at Christmas. It’s easier, the selection is bigger, there’s no teenaged sales clerk standing nearby, busily NOT helping me, and sometimes it’s cheaper. For many stores, especially those that offer little or nothing as part of their unique shopping experience, this is becoming a monstrous problem that will only get worse over time. The current crop of big spenders – the Boomers – increase their online spending each year, but the young set lives online. As the Echo Boomers take over the position of top spending cohort in the years to come, the stores want to make sure they’re in line to maintain their share. Or go the route of Sears and disappear. 4 Trends to watch: 1. Will in-store purchases increase this season? An August, 2018 In-Store Holiday Shopping survey of 1,200 American consumers found that 88% of shoppers intend to shop in physical stores this season. 2. Unique shopping experiences expected. Shoppers today are happy to drive to physical stores seeking “an experience,” as opposed to simple transactions. 3. How much will online purchasing increase? “The second quarter of 2018 e-commerce estimate increased 15.2% from the second quarter of 2018, while total retail sales increased 5.7% in the same period,” according to the U.S. Department of Commerce. 4. The multi-channel sales is the wave of the future. Various sales approaches include providing customers with an integrated shopping experience. In addition to brick and mortar locations, shoppers have access to products online from a desktop or their mobile phone. But every story has at least two sides. While sales may be good news for the retailers and the stock holders, the bad news is in a new survey of over 2,000 U.S. consumers from buyback site Decluttr showing some 66 million consumers will wake up with a hangover of more debt after the holidays. Christmas, along with everything else has gotten more expensive. Americans are attempting to keep up with the increases by taking on more debt. Thanks to increases in mortgage debt, auto loan debt, and credit card debt, Americans now have more debt than ever before. In August, 2018 the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Center for Microeconomic Data released its Quarterly Report on Household Debt and Credit. The report shows that total household debt in the U.S. increased by $82 billion in the second quarter, which means Americans now collectively carry $13.19 trillion in debt. One thing is for sure. This is not sustainable.

The process of selling your items is labor intensive. I often suggest just donating your unwanted items to save time and get you to living a less cluttered life faster. However, there often is value in the items you no longer need, and being paid to declutter has a nice ring to it. In each case, a bunch of time and space is necessary to store, price, list, and deliver items. In the past few years, numerous companies have come into the marketplace that will store, price, list, and deliver your items for you. Win – Win! Now all you have to do is determine which of these companies best suits the type of clutter you have and ship it off. Replacements.com accepts china, silver, figurines, and crystal. I have bought and sold with Replacements.com and have had excellent results. Swap.com is an online resale website for maternity through adult women’s clothing. I like that Swap.com also buys and sells baby items, kid's toys, and kid's books. Decluttr.com is a great resource for selling electronic items and DVDs. Decluttr.com gives you an estimate of how much you can make on your CDs, DVDs, video games, and electronics by scanning the barcodes on those items. Rebagg.com works in a similar way to Decluttr.com. Once you send a photo of your handbag to Rebagg.com, you will receive a quote and a free shipping label to mail them your handbag. I have purchased and have been very happy with the service from Thread Up. Thread Up sells clothing for all the women in your life, from babies to grandmas. To sell your clothing, order a clean out bag and get started cleaning out your closet! Thread Up offers you $10 off your first purchase if you use my affiliate code here. EBTH {Everything But The House} is a full service online estate sale company. If you have a whole house worth of items to sell, start with an EBTH in-home consultation. Smaller lots of sale items can also be sold through EBTH’s regional distribution centers. One of the UK's go-to spots for selling entertainment products online, Entertainment Magpie is now setting its sights on the U.S. with the launch of Decluttr.com. In this podcast, we chat with CEO Steve Oliver about how the digital revolution affects a business model predicated on physical entertainment media; the global network that underpins his company's business model; and how Americans' unfamiliarity with a black and white bird that collects shiny things forced Entertainment Magpie's stateside name change.
