Australia has a dark chapter of history that many are still learning about. Following European settlement, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children were removed from their families and forced into non-Indigenous society. The trauma and abuse they experienced left deep scars, and the pain still echoes through the generations. But communities are creating positive change. Today these people are recognised as survivors of the Stolen Generations. - Há um capítulo sombrio na história da Austrália, que muitos ainda desconhecem. Após a colonização europeia, inúmeras crianças Aborígenes e das Ilhas do Estreito de Torres foram separadas das suas famílias, bem como forçadas a integrar a sociedade não indígena. O trauma e os abusos que sofreram deixaram marcas profundas, e a dor continua a atravessar gerações. Contudo, as comunidades estão empenhadas em agir e, assim, em implementar mudanças positivas. Estes cidadãos são hoje reconhecidos como sobreviventes das Gerações Roubadas.

ESC kompakt LIVE

In dieser Folge sprechen wir mit Abor & Tynna, unseren Kandidat*innen für den Euro Vision Song Contest 2025 in Basel! Mit ihrem Song "Baller" haben sie für Deutschland Platz 15 geholt. Ob sie zufrieden mit der Platzierung sind, wie sie den ESC 2025 erlebt haben, welche Fails es gab und wie es jetzt weiter geht, hört ihr hier! Außerdem verrät Tynna, wie sie vor Auftritten gechillt bleibt und Abor erklärt, warum er nie wieder in seinem Leben Käsefondue sehen kann.

Mitte Mai kürte Europa wieder den Gewinner des «Eurovision Song Contest». Nachdem im schwedischen Malmö Nemo mit „The Code“ abräumte, schlug im schweizerischen Basel der Künstler JJ auf. 258 Jury-Punkte gingen für „Wasted Love“ in die St. Jakobshalle. Der Opernsänger musste sich im zweiten Halbfinale für das große «ESC»-Finale qualifizieren, wo er allerdings nur auf Platz fünf landete. Mario Thunert und Fabian Riedner haben die über fünfstündige Fernsehshow live gesehen, allerdings sollte in die Show mehr Tempo gebracht werden. In den vergangenen 15 Jahren wurden neben der Flaggenparade auch die Postcards eingeführt, außerdem treten nach dem letzten Auftritt auch noch zahlreiche andere Künstler auf. Die Entscheidung sollte schon vor Mitternacht fallen, da sind sich die beiden einig. Im Podcast reden Thunert und Riedner zudem über die Auswahl der Kandidaten. In diesem Jahr sind die Österreicher Abor & Tynna mit ihrem Song „Baller“ für Deutschland angetreten. Was könnte man verändern? Bei den Österreichern wählte der ORF intern einen Künstler aus, in Israel, die Platz zwei belegten, entschied man sich für Yuval Rafael nach 31 Shows.

Česko měl zastoupit slovenský zpěvák Adonxs, který však neuspěl v druhém semifinále. Ač s těžkým srdcem naše moderátorské duo nakonec nejvíc fandilo Finsku s písní Ich Komme od Eriky Vikman. Bavilo je také německé duo Abor & Tynna s písní Baller, které dostalo hlasy od české poroty.

Hinter den Kulissen brodelt es: Hat Österreich bewusst zwei Landsleute in den deutschen Vorentscheid eingeschleust, um dem großen Nachbarn einen Bärendienst zu erweisen? Mit "Baller" wollte Deutschlands ESC-Held Stefan Raab an frühere Erfolge anknüpfen – doch nun mehren sich die Stimmen, die sagen: Abor & Tynna hatten nie eine echte Chance. „Das war ein trojanisches Popschlager-Pferd“, meint ein Insider aus dem ESC-Umfeld. Während sich ganz Deutschland auf die zwei Geschwister fokussierte, wurde in der Wiener Opernszene heimlich JJ aufgebaut – ein klassisch ausgebildeter Tenor mit dramatischer ESC-Ballade und großer Bühne. Das Ergebnis? Platz 1 für Österreich. Und eine Ohrfeige für Deutschland. Doch damit nicht genug: Das gutgläubige und naive Deutschland schenkt seinem geschätzten Nachbarn sogar noch die Höchstwertung von 12 Punkten. Und was bekommt Berlin zurück? Gar nichts. Keine Punkte. Kein Applaus. Kein Respekt. „Wir haben hier einen geopolitischen ESC-Schachzug der Sonderklasse erlebt. Deutschland wurde medienwirksam eingelullt – und dann eiskalt abserviert.“, so der Insider. Das Finale des Eurovision Song Contest 2025 war deutlich enger als das des Vorjahres von Malmö. In Basel hat sich am Ende der Österreicher JJ mit 436 Punkten durchgesetzt. Mit seinem Titel "Wasted Love" holte er zwar nur den vierten Platz im Televoting - jedoch Platz eins bei den Jurys. JJ galt von Anfang an als einer der Mitfavoriten - jedoch bei vielen nicht als Topfavorit auf den Sieg. Dort tippten die Wettanbieter die Gruppe KAJ für Schweden, die am Ende aber nur Vierte wurde. Podcast-Host Marcel Stober schaut mit sehr gemischten Gefühlen auf das Ergebnis dieses ESC von Basel, bei dem zum dritten Mal in Folge der Jurysieger auch den gesamten Song Contest gewinnen konnte. Abor & Tynna kommen aus Wien, sprechen zuhause Ungarisch und treten für Deutschland beim Eurovision Song Contest in der Schweiz mit dem Song "Baller" an. Sie reden über den Beginn ihrer Karriere, ihre Erfahrungen mit Stefan Raab, dem deutschen Vorentscheid "Chefsache ESC" und ihre Erwartungen für die Zukunft. Außerdem reden Alkis und Marco über Musiklizenzen und Flaggenpolitik.Das Wiener Geschwisterpaar Abor & Tynna sind von Haus aus mit klassischer Musik aufgewachsen, der Vater ist Cellist bei den Wiener Philharmonikern, beide Elternteile haben ungarische Wurzeln. Mit Merci, Chérie reden sie über erste musikalische Gehversuche, über das Arbeiten als Geschwister und ihre familiären und musikalischen Wurzeln.Die traditionellen Fragen bekommen die beiden auch: Abor hat Nemo auf der Playlist, Tynna hat 2024 dagegen nicht verfolgt. Ihre Lieblingssongs vom Song Contest sind "Heroes" von Måns Zelmerlöw für Abor, Tynna findet "Euphoria" noch immer den besten Song überhaupt.Anschließend Plaudern Alkis und Marco über zwei Themen: Das erste ist der neue Verhaltenscodex des ESC und damit auch die erlaubten Flaggen auf der Bühne. Mit strengen Regeln sollen jetzt nur mehr Landesflaggen der teilnehmenden Länder von Acts auf der Bühne erlaubt sein, aber keine anderen. Auch keine Regenbogen-Flagge und keine Europa-Flagge. Im Publikum dagegen sind alle erlaubt, solange sie nicht gesetzlich verboten sind.Und über noch ein Thema reden wir: Wie soll es weitergehen mit "Merci, Chérie"? Die Kosten für Musik-Lizenzen, aber auch für das Hosting und diverse Services sammeln sich an.
