Por otra parte, el Instituto Ifo ha publicado este jueves el último informe sobre la economía alemana.. espera que el PIB caiga este año un 0,1% en comparación con el año anterior, lo que significa que la economía germana lleva ya cinco años estancada. Según el informe, la falta de demanda de bienes pesan sobre la economía. Otro instituto alemán, el DIW apunta que la economía apenas crecerá un 0,2%. Y en clave política el presidente francés Emmanuel Macron ha acortado su visita a Polonia para regresar a primera hora de la tarde a París. La expectación es máxima ante el nombre del nuevo primer ministro. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has warned that the world will take years to recover from the coronavirus pandemic. OECD secretary-general, Angel Gurría, said the economic shock was already bigger than the financial crisis. He told the BBC it was "wishful thinking" to believe that countries would bounce back quickly. The OECD has called on governments to rip up spending rules to ensure speedy testing and treatment of the virus. La comunidad internacional ha acordado debatir cambios de las reglas fiscales, que determinan en qué país deben pagar los impuestos las multinacionales, en función del lugar donde desarrollan su negocio, adaptándolas a esta nueva realidad impuesta por la economía digital.La Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE), encargada de enmarcar el debate, se reunió esta semana con el objetivo de fijar un programa de trabajo. SI bien como lo reconoce el propio secretario General, Angel Gurría no se ha avanzado lo suficiente en la materia: "Lo digo con toda autoridad, porque somos nosotros quienes estamos encabezando el esfuerzo, pero estamos a tiempo y en calendario. Ya tenemos elementos, en cuanto a reconocer que hay ciertos servicios y comercios intangibles, que escapan al tradicional sistema de recaudación tributaria. Puesto que no tienen una presencia física aunque hacen billones de cifra de negocios, pero la hacen desde países vecinos o del otro lado del atlántico. Hay que rediseñar y revisitar una serie de conceptos, como concentración de mercado, competencia, protección del consumidor y por supuesto, fiscalidad." La OCDE presentará próximamente un informe con la perspectiva del G20 de junio en Fukuoka Japón y el G7 de julio próximo en Chantilly, Francia. Como lo ha asegurado el ministro francés de economía y finanzas Bruno Le Maire, la adaptación del sistema fiscal internacional es una de las prioridades de la presidencia francesa del G7 este año. Una nueva fiscalidad digital que podría ofrecer a los estados suficiente margen de maniobra en materia de inversión social para, precisamente, afrontar esta cuarta revolución. La actualización del sistema fiscal internacional es por definición un problema transnacional, que en consecuencia exige consensos globales, difíciles de conseguir, pero sobre los cuales la comunidad internacional ya está trabajando. Ermittler des Bundeskriminalamtes haben Ende April die mutmaßlichen Betreiber des zweitgrößten illegalen Online-Marktplatzes im Darknet festgenommen. Rund eine Million Euro sollen bei den drei Männern von den insgesamt 40 Millionen Umsatz hängengeblieben sein. In den USA, in denen der meiste Umsatz gemacht worden sei, konnten zwei der größten Verkäufer identifiziert und festgenommen werden. The Board of the Directors of the Economic Club of Minnesota instituted the Economic Club’s Champion of Free Trade Award in 2014. This is the only national award for contributions for expanding free trade. The intention of the board was to develop an award that would honor individual national and international leaders who have made significant contributions to the expansion of international trade. The award is also intended to highlight the importance of free trade for global prosperity and security. THE HONORABLE JOSÉ ÁNGEL GURRÍA Secretary-General Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) As Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) since 2006, Angel Gurría has firmly established the Organisation as a pillar of the global economic governance architecture including the G7, G20 and APEC, and a reference point in the design and implementation of better policies for better lives. He has broadened OECD’s membership with the accession of Chile, Estonia, Israel, Latvia and Slovenia, and has made the Organisation more inclusive by strengthening its links with key emerging economies. Under his watch, the OECD is leading the effort to reform the international tax system, and to improve governance frameworks in anti-corruption and other fields. He has also heralded a new growth narrative that promotes the well-being of people, including women, gender and youth, and has scaled up the OECD contribution to the global agenda, including the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals. AMBASSADOR BOB ZOELLICK Robert B. Zoellick was the President of the World Bank Group from 2007-12, U.S. Trade Representative from 2001 to 2005, and Deputy Secretary of State from 2005 to 2006. From 1985 to 1993, Zoellick served as Counselor to the Secretary of the Treasury and Under Secretary of State, as well as the White House Deputy Chief of Staff. Zoellick is now a Senior Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He serves on the boards of Temasek, Singapore’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, and Laureate International Universities, as well as on the international advisory board of Rolls Royce. Bob is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, the Department of State’s highest honor, the Alexander Hamilton Award of the Department of the Treasury, and the Medal for Distinguished Public Service of the Department of Defense. The German government awarded him the Knight Commanders Cross for his achievements in the course of German unification. The Mexican and Chilean governments awarded him their highest honors for non-citizens, the Aztec Eagle and the Order of Merit, for recognition of his work on free trade, development, and the environment. Zoellick holds a J.D. magna cum laude from the Harvard Law School, a master's degree in public policy from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, and a bachelor's degree (Phi Beta Kappa) from Swarthmore College.
