Hi my love, This is episode 13 with Anna Richards. Anna was the first beautiful woman I reached out to for this new season as I knew her voice and her fire were needed as we continue to broaden the conversation of Womanhood. To use Anna's words, she roars. She stands big and loud and passionately for women – and humanity for that matter. Her ability to advocate for the claiming of our power as woman has taught me so much over the past 12 months - as the world continues to shape shift, I continue to turn toward Anna for guidance and wisdom. Her political insight, ability to inspire liberated action and stand for her truth over and over again is truly something else. Being in Anna's online vortex has certainly created such a deeper conviction within me - in my understanding of my human rights, how to successfully advocate for what I truly stand for and believe in or simply kicking my butt out of bed to get moving each day. Anna is the kind of woman I look to with such admiration and deep gratitude for the way she chooses to remind women every single day of their power. Starting her first online business at the age of 18, an online dating platform for 18 to 30 year olds, Anna got her first taste of the entrepreneurial spirit which hasn't left her since. Life then took a different turn when she got head hunted at age 21 into Federal Politics where she would spend the next 4 years of her life working for a Federal Member of Parliament, learning the in's and out's of the Australian Political landscape and the walls of our nations Federal Parliament house. Anna's passion for business proved too strong and at the age of 25 she found the Network Marketing model and in 5 short years, Anna earned her first million dollars in Network Marketing. Anna is the host of her own podcast ‘Anything Goes' and the creator of Self Love School where she teaches the principles of thinking, moving, speaking, earning, and self-caring like you love yourself. Today she lives on the Gold Coast living her boldest, most unapologetic life imaginable. It is my absolute pleasure to welcome Anna Richardson to Womanhood.
The Blues women's side is hailing a professional build up befitting the occasion of today's historic Super Rugby game against the women's Chiefs at Eden Park. The inaugural women's match is the curtain-raiser for the men's sides.Assistant coach Anna Richards says the semi-professional nature of women's rugby's been a factor."The girls from up north were able to get time off work so that's really helped us schedule in a couple more trainings this week heading into the game so I think we're pretty lucky."LISTEN ABOVE
Anna Richards may well be the greatest female rugby player ever to play for New Zealand. She won 49 caps, in a stellar playing career that spanned almost two decades of continuous service, from 1990-2008. In total, she made 54 appearances for New Zealand and was on the losing side only twice. The four-time Women’s Rugby World Cup winner played in every minute of the 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010 finals. She also played in the 1991 tournament when New Zealand lost in the semi-finals. Upon graduating from Canterbury University, where she first took up rugby, Richards also enjoyed a highly-decorated provincial career with Auckland Storm. She was a key member of the team that went unbeaten from 1994-2005, capturing numerous titles along the way. She also played club rugby in Italy and England.
Anna Richards is joined by Emily Acevedo, an HR Director based in the US and solo mother to Sebastian, who has Emanuel Syndrome. Emily talks to us about her life with him from the diagnosis, its impact on her life and career, day to day living and how she manages as a single parent.

Anna and Morgan have been together for 15 years and they've developed an extraordinary relationship. But how did they get there? What is the foundation of their strong relationship? What did their journey look like? In this episode of My Extra Mile, Anna + Morgan share how they developed their relationship and what ‘life together' looks like for them. You will want to hear this episode if you are interested in... What ‘life together' means to Morgan + Anna Building an extraordinary relationship on unconditional trust Why “Self-love” isn't woo-woo but vitally important Internal motivation is the driving factor for change Why you NEED to nail down your shared values The difference between a belief and a value Why people attract the wrong men or women An exercise: Look at your non-negotiables together A life lived 100% together Anna + Morgan do ALL of life together. They work from home together, they work out together, and they travel the world together. Morgan jokes that the only reason they don't have kids yet is because he doesn't like going to the gym alone. Has it always been easy? Of course not. Things were toxic when they were young and in the “party” phase of their life. They're careful to point out that they're not perfect and their life journey is unique to them. You simply have to know what you want. Anna knew from the time she met Morgan that he was always going to be in her life. They failed forward together and held each other through the lowest of the lows. They've navigated the highs together as well. They've had so many ups and downs. Morgan has spent many nights on the couch. But they've gotten to a beautiful stage in their 30's. They don't really fight—they disagree, then they're over it. But how did they get there? Unconditional trust + Self-love Morgan points out that their relationship is built on unconditional trust. He trusts Anna with his life. Whatever is going on, they always come back together. They know that they can't live without each other in their lives. They're a team, a unit, lovers, & best friends. They take those responsibilities seriously. But they also love themselves—and unconditional love for yourself spills over into your relationships. You have to feel whole in yourself first to feel whole in a relationship. As you learn to love and trust yourself more, your relationship can flourish. Anna loves the quote by Maya Angelou: “I don't trust people who don't love themselves and tell me, 'I love you.'” People run into issues because they look for motivation from external circumstances or other people. External factors can be motivating, but the motivation for real and lasting change—physical or otherwise—has to come from within. Because Anna and Morgan strive towards becoming their own powerful individuals their life together has become sweeter and more grounded. But they admit it's a journey. You NEED alignment on core values What are your shared values? If your highest value doesn't align with your significant others, the simple truth is that you probably won't work out. That's not saying you have to agree on everything—because that's not how relationships work. But your life-values need to align and adapt together. You can have separate growth journeys, but they need to intersect. Morgan's example is Protestants and Catholics: Their core beliefs are completely different, but their values are the same. You need to sit down and hash out what your values are together. For Anna and Morgan, the things that matter most to them—honesty, integrity, humor, and trust—bind them together. So how do you develop an extraordinary relationship? How do you find out if your values align? Anna and Morgan state you need to determine your values. Determine your values by taking Dr. DeMartini's Value Determination Test. Most people think they know where their values lie and then find out they were dead wrong. It's perfectly fine—but it's better to know. You can then navigate and work out your life around your values. If your relationship is in turmoil and you're at a crossroads, nail down your individual values. If they don't intersect, it may be time to move on. Anna and Morgan share other resources that they believe impacted their relationship positively—be sure to listen for their recommendations. What does legacy income really look like in network marketing? If you have a killer first year, should you expect that to continue? In this episode of My Extra Mile, David T.S. Wood chats with Anna and Morgan Richards about network marketing. More specifically, they talk about why it's not treated like a legitimate profession and what can be done, and misconceptions about how network marketers make income. If you've been on the fence about network marketing, this is the episode that could change your mind. You will want to hear this episode if you are interested in... Anna and Morgan's podcast: The Anything Goes Podcast Why many feel the need to legitimize network marketing Why network marketers don't have the courage to own their profession How networking marketing impacts your spouse The journey of leadership in network marketing The raw truth about building a legacy income Why network marketing made sense as a career move for Anna Why the network marketing industry is dominated by women How different ranks come into play and impact you Why YOU should go into network marketing Why network marketing is frowned upon by so many Why are so many people turned off by network marketing? Because they think of the inexperienced or the worst examples of network marketers as the standard for the entire industry. People come into this wanting a change or transformation in their life, but they lack the experience. They don't have the training and understanding. People form an opinion on network marketers who are in their infancy. What do Morgan and Anna do differently with their teams? How does it make an impact? Listen to find out. Success is about showing up—no matter what When Anna left a six-figure job and threw herself into network marketing, she was arguably not ready. But she got to work. She was training women in a profession she didn't know and learning alongside them. She learned that she needed to take the pressure off of her “title” and simply be present. It was about being in the trenches with everyone else and failing forward. It was about showing up no matter what. Building a legacy income isn't linear Every business has natural peaks, valleys, and plateaus—network marketing is no different. Anna's first year—working harder than she ever has—she made $400,000. Every year since then, they've done approximately $200,000 or so a year. Anna's highest income was her first year. Why? Partially because of when she started in the year and how different events and promotions can amplify the income. But they've earned multiple six-figure incomes in network marketing for seven years. Dropping from $400,000 to $200,000 is a normal business cycle. It's a process of learning and a challenge to overcome. That's why it's important to understand the natural cycle of building a legacy income. It's about building a foundation and developing a team. Morgan and Anna note that while you're building stability and a solid foundation, you should keep your life simple. Ride out the peaks and valleys as you build your legacy income, so you NEVER find yourself in a place of desperation. Anna and Morgan continue to discuss how different ranks impact you, why you shouldn't make drastic lifestyle changes, and why comparison will take you out of the game. Don't miss it. Why should YOU go into network marketing? Why should you say “Yes!” to network marketing? Anna and Morgan have spent six years figuring this out and they're grounded in it. Anna points out that it's not a matter of if you'll do network marketing—but when. Everything is becoming referral based. You're already doing it. Morgan points out that approximately every 10 years or so, the economy lets us know that jobs and security can be volatile. It is a necessity to have something like this to give you breathing space to fall back on in times of desperation. The more good people that can find their way into the profession will raise the tide for all ships. It will continue to legitimize network marketing. Financial wellbeing and longevity will become more important. Ai and robots can't do what network marketers do. It's about taking freedom to another level. Why is the network marketing industry dominated by women? Why does Anna believe she was destined for network marketing? Listen to the whole episode for her story! I've partnered with my good friend and incredible entrepreneur and businesswoman Anna Rose Richards to bring you this series called "The isolation series." We'll be bringing you new topics every week to deliver positivity and good energy into your ears whilst we all remain in lockdown. We'll be talking a range of topics from; How to stay positive while in isolation. What mindset should we be choosing right now? Why now is a great time to be setting an exceptional morning routine? How to set yourself up for success for the week. Working at home with your partner. Building great habits. Plus much more. "The quality of your life is the quality of your questions." Anna started her entrepreneurial journey when she was 18 while working in an accounting firm doing tax returns. After meeting her partner (now husband, Morgan), Anna started a dating website called Possibly Maybe, a dating website for 18-30's as a side hustle. During her time at the accounting firm, she got poached into federal politics and subsequently closed down her website. Possibly Maybe taught her a lot and gave her an apprenticeship to entrepreneurship after making many mistakes. Although she was "happy" doing her job in Federal Politics, she felt she had hit the ceiling. Having a business degree, double majoring in business management and a minoring in Entrepreneurship Anna wanted more. That's when a "product" landed on her lap. Attached to network marketing, Anna saw the opportunity given the fact she had studied business and could see the exponential potential. After earning her first million dollars, both Anna and Morgan now live debt-free and travel the world together. Anna also inspires 1000's of women daily to do the same. In this episode, we discuss politics, policy change and making sure your voice is heard and your vote counts. My guest today was dubbed the pitbull of parliament and calls herself a proud political ratbag. She recently drafted a letter for Australian’s to send to their local MPs. Saying - if you're scared/mad/upset about the Bush Fires in Australia, & feel the Government isn't taking enough action ... I lovingly encourage you to learn how to make an impactful legislative change (& then send the letter!)We discuss, - how to better understand parliament in layman's terms.- how to read between the lines of what the govt, parliamentary members and your local members are saying and doing and what they stand for. - how to educate yourself in a quick and easy way before you use your very valuable vote. Today's podcast is essentially politics for dummies and I certainly used resonate with that.

Welcome to episode 28 of the BTB podcast. Todays episode will have you fired up and excited to chase your dreams with total boss babe Anna Richards on the show sharing her golden nuggets and knowledge bombs. Anna is a network marketing professional, who has been in the industry for 6 years. Prior to NWM, she had spent 4 years in Federal Politics, working for a Federal Member of Parliament. She was always looking for ‘another way’ however and at age 25 she quit her career after she had found another way - network marketing. President Anna Richards of the NAACP in Chapel Hill/Carrboro, North Carolina presented a history of the NAACP from its formation in the early 1900's through present day. She especially upheld the many women responsible for making the NAACP happen both at its inception and throughout the decades that followed. Anna discussed in depth the important role the NAACP has had in shaping of American history since its inception. Anna discussed the role the NAACP had in supporting the Chapel Hill 9 (just commemorated in Chapel Hill yesterday) and presented the ongoing work that is planned to honor the nine young students who protested at the lunch counter on February 28, 1960. She called for inclusion of any females who had also participated in the years of work that took place from 1960-1962 in the Civil Rights Movement in Chapel Hill to obtain fair and equal treatment. During my interview with Anna, we discussed how women have been treated throughout the decades and the structural systemic disparities that have existed for women of color along side their white female counterparts including the gender norms we have been less aware of and and those norms we are bringing into awareness as we talk about women's issues. Anna discussed her experience as a woman in business and an African American woman leading the NAACP now in her retirement. She presented the categories of support that the NAACP addresses locally and nationally as well as upcoming events planned. She revealed that the NAACP was just placed on the New York Stock Exchange for corporate sponsorship. Anna concluded by highlighting their website and the fact that the Chapel Hill NAACP is made of a membership which includes about 50% White & 50% Black members/supporters.
“This is what I want to be a part of. I want to be a part of a movement of people that want to earn more, give more, that want to show up in a bolder way.” Anna Richards has a passion and respect for network marketing that has lead her to where she is today. She reveals why new distributors struggle with the business and the strategy to overcome those issues. Anna shares the moments when the business was hard, but how important it was to shift her focus and take action on what you can do to stay consistent. She also details how she fit network marketing into her days before she was full time. And now that she is full time, she shares the structured schedule she created, and how it has given her freedom. Who is Anna Richards? Anna Richards worked for a politician before she discovered network marketing in 2013. Today, she and her husband have built an organization of over 20,000 customers and are 6 figure earners, and they live out in Gold Coast, Australia. One Habit Relentless consistency, no matter what. Be consistent first and foremost with the product, and then of course with the business. Show up in some small way every single day and you cannot go wrong. Best Advice In the beginning, it was time for time and energy for energy. If someone is giving you time, return that time. And more recently it was, for things to change, you need to change. For things to get better, you need to get better. Favorite Quote “We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?
