[2 Peter 2:1] False prophets have always arisen among God's people, often from within the camp rather than from the outside. Just as Israel was warned in Deuteronomy 13, we must not be swayed by impressive signs, wonders, dreams, or even family and cultural pressures if they lead us away from the clear commands of Scripture. God's Word alone is truth; any teaching that adds to it, takes away from it, or exalts tradition, priests, or figures like Mary above Christ must be rejected as false teaching.

Good morning! And even more importantly! Happy Easter! This morning...if you have God's Word...please be finding Isaiah 53. And as you turn...let me begin… by saying this: Jesus has given so much for us... yet... the world refuses to see what has been given. There's a refusal to see... all that was done… so that we may live eternally. But Isaiah was shown the cost that would be paid... and the reason why...many years before it even happened.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees and “British Invasion” pioneers, The Zombies, todayannounce the release of Odessey & Oracle Mono Remastered on September 26th. The album, thefirst of four definitive physical reissues from their catalog, includes the classic songs “Time OfThe Season,” “Care of Cell 44,” and “This Will Be Our Year” and is a regular entry in “BestAlbums of All Time” lists in publications like Rolling Stone, NME, and Mojo Magazine. Therelease, which coincides with The Zombies' documentary, Hung Up On A Dream, marks the firsttime the band's original mono mix, remastered from studio tapes, has appeared on LP since therecord's British issue in 1968, presenting the album as they originally intended it to be heard.Pre-order the album on all formats here.Recorded primarily at London's legendary Abbey Road Studios in 1967, Odessey & Oracle wasself-produced in Mono on a shoestring budget by primary songwriters Rod Argent (keyboards/vocals) and Chris White (bass/vocals). Under last-minute pressure from their record label, thealbum was hastily remixed in the newly emerging Stereo format, which sacrificed key elementsfrom the Mono recording, most notably the beloved horn parts in “This Will Be Our Year”.The band today also share the first track off the album, the mono remastered version of “ThisWill Be Our Year”, with the horn parts restored. Although never released as a single, this deepcut has found a new life thanks to prominent uses in TV and film, including memorable scenes inMad Men, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Schitt's Creek, and covers by artists like FooFighters, OK Go and Susanna Hoffs. Pastor Damaris Solis brings this week's message, “Until I ____ Arose!" Judges 4:1-10 ESV: “And the people of Israel again did what was evil in the sight of the Lord after Ehud died. And the Lord sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor. The commander of his army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth-hagoyim. Then the people of Israel cried out to the Lord for help, for he had 900 chariots of iron and he oppressed the people of Israel cruelly for twenty years. Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time. She used to sit under the palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the people of Israel came up to her for judgment. She sent and summoned Barak the son of Abinoam from Kedesh-naphtali and said to him, “Has not the Lord, the God of Israel, commanded you, ‘Go, gather your men at Mount Tabor, taking 10,000 from the people of Naphtali and the people of Zebulun. And I will draw out Sisera, the general of Jabin's army, to meet you by the river Kishon with his chariots and his troops, and I will give him into your hand'?” Barak said to her, “If you will go with me, I will go, but if you will not go with me, I will not go.” And she said, “I will surely go with you. Nevertheless, the road on which you are going will not lead to your glory, for the Lord will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman.” Then Deborah arose and went with Barak to Kedesh. And Barak called out Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh. And 10,000 men went up at his heels, and Deborah went up with him.” Judges 5:7 ESV: “The villagers ceased in Israel; they ceased to be until I arose; I, Deborah, arose as a mother in Israel.” If you enjoyed the podcast, please subscribe and share it with your friends on social media. In the message, "Then She Arose," Pastor Rich Whitter walks through Ruth 1:1–13, a powerful narrative of loss, loyalty, and the first stirrings of hope. The story opens in the time of the judges, marked by famine and moral decline. Naomi, having lost her husband and two sons in the foreign land of Moab, finds herself empty, grieving, and seemingly without a future. Yet amid the ashes of sorrow, Pastor Rich draws attention to a quiet but pivotal moment in verse 6—“Then she arose.” This turning point signals a decision to return, to move forward, and to trust again in the God she once knew.Pastor Rich emphasizes that faith often begins not with triumph but with simply standing up and taking the next step. Naomi's decision to rise and return to Bethlehem, though tinged with bitterness, is the beginning of redemption—not just for her, but for Ruth, and ultimately, for the lineage that would lead to Christ Himself. We hope this message encourages you to arise—even in your grief or uncertainty—trusting that God can bring purpose from pain and hope from heartbreak.

There were many hard and painful years of my life that made every Mother's Day a day of sorrow for me. I also struggled with questions like, "How can I reach mother's hearts of all kinds?" My experience was difficult. It felt as if it separated me from many women who have only beautiful experiences all the way through. It was always so lonely.I wrestled with the many different kinds of mother's lives out there that are so diverse. I realized I could not cover it all, but there was a burning heart of love within me for all mother's nonetheless. Being a mother is many times for most women a life of battle, anguish and heartache. Yet this life produces fierce love. That fierce love doubles down and deepens through darkest nights and weeping days and engages heaven, and "Enters into the ears of the Lord Sabaoth."Today I honor all of you beautiful mothers. There are troops of millions of women in heaven who bore down in loving prayers during their earthly lives and won eternal victories. You will join them in the march and sing your own songs like Deborah. "Motherhood requires self-giving, sacrifice, suffering. It is a going down into death in order to give life, a great human analogy of a great spiritual principle." - Elisabeth Elliot

You need not to stoop down to their level when you understand that God's plan for your life is bigger than anything the enemy is trying to throw your way. So we are now in the last month of the 40th year. That's the book of Deuteronomy is about 30. It covers 30 days. Literally, Moses is just a few weeks away from climbing a mountain and dying and the Lord burying him. But before he goes, he gives this last great speech, exhortation to the new generation that had all been born during the last 40 years to their parents who, you know, died in the wilderness.

This week on Rational Security, Quinta and Scott were joined by Lawfare Executive Editor Natalie Orpett and Cyber Fellow Eugenia Lostri to talk through the big national security news waking us up from our long winter's nap this week, including:“Rocky Mountain, Bye.” Colorado's Supreme Court has bid goodbye to former President Donald Trump's 2024 candidacy (for now, at least), holding in a 4-3 ruling that he is disqualified as a candidate by virtue of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. Will this ruling hold? And where will it go from here?“Houthis to Sea, so Rudely, a Wop Bop a Loo Bop a Wop Bam Boom.” Attacks by Yemen-based (and Iran-backed) Houthi rebels have led major shippers to avoid the Red Sea, dealing a serious blow to global commerce. But the United States and a coalition of allies has announced a new maritime effort—the (perhaps too) aptly named Operation Prosperity Guardian—to keep trade flowing. What will this military operation look like? And what will it mean for the global economy?“Not So Bueno(s) Aires?” Argentina has a new president in the form of eccentric populist economist and literal dogfather Javier Milei. What does his election mean for the future of the country? We have a live dispatch from Buenos Aires to talk it over. For object lessons, Quinta recommended Jennifer Egan's 2022 classic “A Visit From the Goon Squad” and her latest “The Candy House.” Scott shared his preferred recipe for mulled wine and the secret ingredient: star anise. Natalie shared a wealth of new materials celebrating civil rights leader Bayard Rustin, including a new film Rustin, as well as a recent profile in The New Yorker. And Eugenia gave the people what they want with her endorsement of the Dragon Age series of games.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/lawfare. Hosted on Acast.
