Years ago, federal leaders would dream of getting the terabytes of data. The mechanics of collecting and processing have been solved; few thought that we would have more computing power than trusted information. Today's discussion focuses on some of the risks in storing, sharing, and analyzing data. One of the reasons for this concern is the data generated by machines. Questions are being asked about how that data is collected and the method of collection. Let us assume the data is clean, the next step is to protect and share it. Some will suggest there has been too much focus on protecting the network, the applications, and even the API instead of the data itself. Collaboration may not mean sharing everything in a data set. It is possible that in a record with one hundred fields, an analyst may only need two fields to accomplish the task. When it comes to analysis, Casey Johnson observes that it is difficult to detach from bias and let the data tell us what to do. Jeff Shilling from the National Cancer Institute suggests that we need people with an excellent statistical background combined with human deliberation to get valid results. Technology may have gotten ahead of our ability to use data strategically.

Jesus and Nicodemus: In a private conversation with a powerful religious leader named Nicodemus, Jesus reveals the heart of the gospel and God's great love for a world in need of a savior. If you want to know what makes Christianity different than every other religion, this is it. But if Nicodemus needed to be born again, there's hope for anyone. Recorded on Aug 20, 2023, on John 3:1-21 by Pastor David Parks. Finding Life in Jesus' Name is a sermon series on the gospel according to John in the Bible. Have you ever felt unsatisfied with your life? Or, even when things were going well, something was still missing? Many people sense there must be something more. But what?? John, one of the closest friends of Jesus, believed that Jesus came into the world so that we may have life and have it to the full. Jesus turned John's life upside down, and John claims this new life — marked by God's power, presence, and purpose — is available for all who believe. Sermon Transcript So, all year, we're working our way chapter by chapter and verse by verse through the gospel according to John. We're calling this series Finding Life in Jesus' Name, and if you missed any of the messages so far, you can always go back and watch or listen online. I'm back today after a couple weeks off, and I just really appreciate Casey Johnson from the EFCA and Ted Selker preaching for us. But I'm so glad to be back, too. This morning, we're jumping back into chapter 3. John 1 provided a great intro to the ministry of Jesus and his practice of calling men and women everywhere to become his disciples and learn to follow him. Chapter 2 introduced the first of seven miraculous signs in changing water into wine and the teaching that Jesus was to replace the temple. Starting here in chapter 3, John starts a longer section of conversations that individual people had with Jesus. And this is a really fascinating section of John's gospel to me for several reasons. First, though Jesus had crowds of thousands of people following him during certain points of his ministry, he didn't just want the fame/glory of the crowds; he ministered to individual people, too, which speaks to his humility. But second, this collection of interactions/conversations with Jesus are all different. No two are alike. Jesus doesn't have this canned speech that he gives everyone; he meets everyone where they are at and helps them move forward in the truth, in healing, and in redemption. And that speaks to his heart for people. Each interaction teaches us something new about the person and work of Jesus. Today, in the conversation between Jesus and a powerful religious leader named Nicodemus, John reveals the core of what is fundamentally different about Christianity than every other religion or philosophy in the world. We say it all the time, but the way of Jesus is different; it's unique. But it's this very unique-ness of Jesus that makes the Christian gospel such good news and shapes how we receive and apply this to our lives today. If you have a Bible/app, please take it and open it to John 3:1. Let's jump right in. John 3:1-8 (NIV), “Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.” 3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” 4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother's womb to be born!” 5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.' 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound,

Casey Johnson was poised to be the next big superstar in the sport at the turn of the millennium. After winning the opening two rounds of the 99 supercross series, it looked like he was on his way to a title. However, after getting landed on and breaking his arm, that season was over for Johnson. That cycle continued, blazing speed marred by injuries until he decided to call it quits. Casey Johnson is this weeks guest on the show.
FBOY Island's CASEY Talks Escaping Limbro & Getting Eliminated by CJ | Divij's Den | Ep 19 CJ Franco chose to be with Jarred Evans (New Jarred) on the finale of FBoy Island but some fans think she should have picked Casey Johnson. Casey came onto the island as a fboy while Jarred joined the show as a nice guy, and yet still many viewers think the pair should have ended up together. What about Casey and CJ's connection made fans cheer for a fboy? CJ was immediately drawn to Casey from the early episodes of the season. She liked his confidence and the two shared a lot of steamy moments together. That chemistry took a wrong turn when Ohio-native Casey challenged CJ during their private villa date, telling her he wasn't going to let her control him like the rest of the guys. Casey was sent packing later that same episode in a dramatic double elimination. He took the rejection hard, saying that CJ didn't deserve any of the guys on the island before storming off. After some time spent in "limbro" with the other eliminated fboys, Casey broke out and went back to the villa to win CJ over. When Casey returned, he and CJ reconnected quickly. She appreciated that he was willing to fight for her and that he had seemed to have evolved emotionally. Fans agreed that Casey really had a change of heart on the show. While talking to a more committed fboy, Garrett Morosky, Casey explained that while he first came to the show for the money, he was now here only for CJ. "For the first time in so long, I'm scared to lose her, and I never feel like that," he said. Casey's reformation also reflected in CJ, as his change helped her to break down some of the walls she had up. Fans thought the two helped each other to grow and their ability to weather challenges together clearly showed that they were a good match. On the other side of the coin was Jarred. The first night when Jarred arrived at the island, he quickly got into a heated argument with who other than the man who shared his name, Jared Motley (OG Jared). Even CJ thought that Jarred was a fboy before his true status was revealed. He was indeed a nice guy, but many fans were put off by his competitive personality. While he was nothing but gentlemanly towards CJ, his bravado continued when he was around just the guys. After both he and Casey each had a 24-hour date with CJ, Jarred asked Casey an inappropriate question about his night with CJ, one that would usually come from an fboy. Many fans didn't think Jarred was the right choice for CJ due to his demeanor and often antagonistic comments. CJ and Jarred formed a deep connection, but her bond with Casey did appear more genuine from the get-go. In the end, CJ chose Jarred because she thought he showed they could work through tough times faster than Casey, and without any mistakes. Casey achieved the goal at the heart of FBoy Island, to make fboys reconsider their choices and change for the better. While he wasn't CJ's final choice, the two parted amicably. Based on CJ and Jarred's social media, the couple may no longer be dating. The two CJs may have a chance to end up together after all. Just when we thought summer couldn't get any hotter, HBO Max announced its sizzling new series "FBoy Island" (via Deadline). The dating show was created by Elan Gale of "The Bachelor," Sam Dean of "Love Is Blind" who is set to serve as showrunner, and comedian Nikki Glaser will host.
Self-proclaimed baby faced killer, Casey, is back with Jared and Danielle to discuss his dramatic return.
