The Alabama Crimson Tide won their sixth consecutive Iron Bowl 27-20 Saturday at Jordan-Hare. Alabama Football jumped to a 17-0 lead and held off an Auburn Tigers comeback attempt to hold open for the win. Auburn Football sees their season come to an end. For Alabama Football, the win puts them in the SEC Championship Game against Georgia. The Crimson Tide opened as a 1.5-point underdog, that line has moved to Georgia -2.5. The Lane Kiffin saga has finally come to a conclusion and it was the messiest version possible. After weeks of proposed "deadlines", meetings and delays, a conclusion has finally been reached. Lane Kiffin has officially left Ole Miss to be the head coach for LSU. Part of the hold-up was that Kiffin wanted to remain Ole Miss' head coach through the College Football Playoff. Ole Miss refused that request. Kiffin is now in Baton Rouge and Pete Golding has been promoted to become Ole Miss' new head coach.
