Get ready to laugh, cry and maybe rethink your life choices because this week, Ringo and Ridgey are joined by the indomitable Simone Holtznagel! If you don’t know her already she’s not just a GUESS Jeans model or a Playboy cover star (although, let’s be real, those are iconic), she’s also a TV personality (Australia’s Next Top Model, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here), a new mum and Australia’s sassiest blonde. Simone takes us back to the pre-Instagram era of modeling—yes, there was life before filters—and spills the beans on the highs and lows of being in the fashion world. From working with GUESS to gracing the cover of Playboy US, she shares hilarious behind-the-scenes stories that’ll make you realise modeling isn’t all runways and glam—it’s a whole lot of grit too. But it’s not all fashion. Simone opens up about how the late Charlotte Dawson inspired her, teaching her about resilience and authenticity in an industry that can be, well, brutal. She also dives deep into the impact of loss and grief, balancing motherhood with her career and the hilarious chaos of everyday life (spoiler: her baby isn’t impressed with her runway strut). Of course, Ringo and Ridgey bring their A-game with their usual repertoire of blundering questions, a bit of roasting and plenty of banter. This is more than an interview; it’s a feel-good, laugh-out-loud conversation with one of Australia’s most dynamic women. Tune in, and thank us later!

We heard how a teenager from New Zealand made it big on the Australian modelling scene, and how her reputation was destroyed in the wake of a public and messy marriage breakdown. On this episode, we'll hear how Charlotte Dawson rebranded herself to become a television star, a mentor and an advocate. You'll hear from the people who were with her in the wonderful moments of a glamorous life, and through the horrific side-effects of having often vicious strangers critique your every word and move. Featured guest Simone Holtznagle who is the latest recruit to leave SAS Australia on Channel Seven.Over the last few episode's of TV reload - you would have heard me reference my personal relationships with Angie Kent and Khan Ong and now with this episode it might seems like I must be pretending that I know everyone… I honestly don't know everyone but a bizarre anomaly was that three of my friends left reality shows this week. And I got the privilege of talking to them about their experiences. So full disclaimer - I have known Simone for nearly 10 years - so we will share some of our history - especially with our mutual friend the late Charlotte Dawson. Simone became a household name in 2011 when she appeared on Next Top Model, she then went on to international acclaim gracing the cover of Playboy Magazine and also became a featured Guess Model - which is massive achievement for our girl from AUS - in later years you might have seen her on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. However, her post pandemic role in SAS Australia has us talking about her career, her friendship with Charlotte, that pepper Spray and some behind the scenes gossip from the show. I think you will love Simone's honesty in the chat but I will offer a trigger warning, this episode does include the discussion of suicide and if that does provoke your own feelings of distress please call life Line on 13 11 14. ‘CREDITSHost: Benjamin NorrisGuest: Simone HoltznagleExecutive Producer: Benjamin NorrisAudio Producer: Benjamin NorrisListen now on SPOTIFY: https://open.spotify.com/episode/4WEkZRS17YmMGQlFYRTuZB?si=i4jg9Q7ZSue2ZLFszJxvCQListen now on APPLE: https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/simone-holtznagel-sas-australia-debrief/id1546841378?i=1000553045489Listen now on iHEART RADIO: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/867-tv-reload-75925237/episode/simone-holtznagel-sas-australia-debrief-93745093/Visit the www.TVReload.com.au for all media enquiries.Follow TV Reload! on INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK and TWITTERhttps://www.facebook.com/bennorrisaushttps://twitter.com/benjaminjnorrishttps://instagram.com/benjaminjnorrisofficial_See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. 42 Ophthalmological examination In our 42nd podcast we might not uncover the mysteries of life the universe and everything, though we do have the opportunity to refresh our approach to ocular examination with Charlotte Dawson, lecturer in ophthalmology here at the RVC. It was Jeff Smith who taught me ophthalmology in Sydney, who said more is missed by not looking than not knowing. To be fair he might have borrowed that from Thomas McCrae, one of the forefathers in post graduate medical education, though it is still as pertinent now as it was then.
