Ole Miss football continues to add to a transfer class currently ranked No. 2 in the country by On3. The Rebels addressed their need for a back-up quarterback behind Austin Simmons with Louisville dual-threat Pierce Clarkson. They beefed up their secondary with Washington State cornerback Kapena Gushiken on Tuesday. But the work is constantly ongoing. Ole Miss is a finalist for Washington cornerback Thaddeus Dixon, the portal's No. 2 available player. He's already visited North Carolina and Ole Miss and is expected at Michigan on Sunday. The three-day FBS dead period is set to end on Thursday. The Ole Miss Spirit's (OMSpirit.com) Ben Garrett and Zach Berry have the latest recruiting scoop and intel in an all-new edition of ‘Talk of Champions,' powered by RiverLand Roofing.Text or call RiverLand today for all your roofing needs: 662-644-4297. Few, if any, are doing more for Ole Miss in the NIL (name, image and likeness) space. Visit them online at RiverLandRoofing.com.“Brandon Cisse commits to South Carolina (Monday) night,” Berry said. “Sometimes recruiting — even portal recruiting — is not very hard to figure out. Ole Miss really liked Cisse and Thaddeus Dixon. Lane Kiffin went to Sumter, South Carolina, last week to see Brandon Cisse. Ole Miss was in a fight and he opted to stay close to home. Could mean Ole Miss potentially flips some attention to Thaddeus Dixon. I think all signs points to Thaddeus Dixon for Ole Miss.”Dixon is a former JUCO product. He spent the last two seasons at Washington, including the national championship run in 2023. Dixon played in 26 total games with the Huskies and recorded 66 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, 18 pass break-ups and a forced fumble. His 81.8 PFF coverage rating was fourth in the Big Ten among corners with 100-plus snaps.Dixon was targeted a team-high 51 times. Good morning, Gamecocks. JC Shurburtt gives the ins and outs of South Carolina landing N.C. State cornerback Brandon Cisse, a Sumter native, from the transfer portal. Where does he fit?

Coach Bobby also explores how different playing styles can influence the interpretation of statistics. To wrap up, Mackenzie quizzes Coach Bobby on which sports Forge FC players might excel in if they competed in the Olympics.Key Takeaways:Overall, Coach Bobby was pleased with Forge's performance but emphasized the need for more clinical finishing and increased strategic attacking patterns.Forge demonstrated their ability to come back from a deficit, although Coach Bobby noted that they were chasing the game in ways that were unnatural for them.Borges' goal was executed exactly as planned, involving Kwasi's run, Borges' movement off a defender, and Bekker's precise delivery.By the 75th minute, Garv was the only defender remaining in his original position; substitutions were made as Alex excels at penetrating lines, Cisse is naturally an attacking defender, and Malik provides defensive stability.Forge had 11 corners compared to Valour's 1, which Bobby highlighted as an indicator of their maintained forward momentum.Bobby attributes much of Atlético Ottawa's success this season to the positive energy they started with and acknowledges the pressure they face being at the top of the table midway through the season.Chapters:0:00 Generational differences…2:25 Ping Pong in the locker room3:10 Forge FC & travel 5:00 Valour Reflections8:00 Attacking Motions10:00 Changing the Backline 12:00 Corners!!!13:30 Atletico's Success15:00 Context & Stats17:51 Bobby's Suspension19:00 Forge OlympicsForge Audio NetworkThe Forge Audio Network provides Forge FC fans with the most comprehensive, entertaining and informative news and information about their favourite soccer team. In this edition of Talk of Champions: Short Sessions, national college basketball analyst Jeff Goodman joins Zach Berry of the OMSpirit.com/On3 to talk all things Ole Miss basketball. The Rebels exhibition with Tusculum Monday night before opening their season November 6 against Alabama State. What can Rebel fans expect from Beard and Co. in Year 1? Goodman believes, as far as national competitiveness, Ole Miss needs each of transfers Moussa Cisse and Brandon Murray to get their NCAA waivers approved for one final season of eligibility.“I think it's about 20 percent so far of those that try to get a second undergrad waiver after transferring getting it,” Goodman said. “I think that's going to determine whether Ole Miss is going to be a real factor nationally or not. If Beard gets both those dudes eligible? Watch out. “There aren't many better in the country than Chris Beard as a ball coach in terms of everything he does. You get Texas Tech to the national title game, that's one of the greatest accomplishments in the last 20 years in college basketball.”Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

This week we continue our abroad series-opening with special insights from co-host Verdell Wright on the importance of centering Black narratives of religious freedom and experience. We briefly visit the plight of despised Nigerian atheist/activist Mubarak Bala who in-secret was unjustly sequestered in Nigeria for nearly a year only to be sentenced to 24 years for the invisible crime of blaspheming Allah by clerics in northern Islamic Nigeria. Finally we center the spotlight in an interview with activist speaker, Mohmmed Cisse -an expat born and raised in Ivory Coast, West Africa. Cisse recounts his upbringing in a cultural milieu heavily controlled by religious affiliations, poor mental heath education, patriarchy and misogyny, and HIV death and stigmatization. However, all is not lost-Cisse discusses his transformative work with The Clergy Project and shares his stories of the bright light of hope for his family and community abroad. _____ (Ep. 22) Show Notes Host: Rogiérs Co-Host: Verdell Wright Written by: Rogiérs Narration: Rogiérs Interview: Mohmmed Cisse Production & Editing: Fibby Music Group, LLC Recorded at: FMG Studios, Washington, DC Cover Artwork: Emily Wilson Music Licensing: Storyblocks Additional Music: David “Preach” Balfour (Piano), Ismael (Gaddafi Mosque-Kampala, Uganda/Call to Prayer), The 1997 Batch”, J Dilla & Vintage Vibez Music Group Resources & Mentions Verdell Wright (TikTok @VeeAyeDubz) TCP, The Clergy Project “Nigeria: Atheist Activist Mubarak Bala sentenced to 24 years in blasphemy case” (Africa News) “The Cost of Being an Atheist” BBC Africa Documentary BBC Kaduna Book Festival 2018-Humanism in Nigeria with Leo Igwe _____________________________ For Contact, Inquiry, Voicemail & Feedback: E: BNDCPodcast@gmail.com Twitter: @WWHPodcasting Black Secular Collective: @Black_Secular _____________________________ Additional Content: Special thanks to the American Humanist Association for their support.
