Seahawks One Series with GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune/933 KJR) Devon Witherspoon is due for a big contract extension, so Gregg gives us the lowdown on that looming deal and expectations for the veteran DB. Why is he more than just interception numbers? What worry or concerns do the Seahawks have about his durability and what are his weaknesses? :30- Yes, the piggyback is still here and there are a lot of people who are still very angry about it, so it's time to implement some new rules for the new piggyback. - Bryce Miller should never be involved again. - How about a 24 or 48-hour window on the rider? - How about we establish a middle ground on communication? - If you're going to piggyback, you can stop over-protecting your bullpen! :45- What a state we are in! Dusty May left Michigan yesterday for the comfort of the NBA… he wasn't the first and he won't be the last person to leave college sports for something more comfortable at the professional level. The Edmonton Oilers have made another significant offseason move, and Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin are here to break it all down on today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday. The boys kick off the show by discussing the Oilers' new contract extension for Jason Dickinson, which will keep the veteran forward in Edmonton for another five seasons at a cap hit of $4 million per year. On the surface, the cap hit appears to be solid value for a player who has become an important part of the lineup, but is five years too much term for a player entering his age-33 season? Tyler and Liam will share their thoughts on the contract and hear what Oilers fans think about the deal. From there, it's time for another edition of The First Question, and there is no shortage of topics to cover. Reports continue to suggest that Mike Babcock could officially be named the next head coach of the Edmonton Oilers in the near future, while a contract extension for Connor Murphy is reportedly nearing the finish line as well. What would those moves mean for the Oilers heading into next season? The boys will break down the latest rumours and discuss how Edmonton's roster could be shaping up for another Stanley Cup run.Later in the show, the conversation shifts to one of the biggest stories from around the NHL as Brady Tkachuk has reportedly been traded to the Florida Panthers. What does the blockbuster move mean for Florida's quest to build another powerhouse, and are we entering a new era of NHL super teams? Tyler and Liam will discuss the fallout from the trade and what it means for the balance of power around the league. To wrap things up, the boys will hand out their favourite daily betting plays courtesy of bet365.

Projecting Vikings Extensions Under Nolan Teasley: O'Neill, Addison, Redmond, and a Kyler Murray Scenario — Tyler Forness and producer Dave discuss how new decision-maker Nolan Teasley might shape the Vikings roster by prioritizing contract extensions and their salary-cap effects. They project four possible extensions: RT Brian O'Neill (three years, $72M, $48M guaranteed) structured to lower near-term cap hits; WR Jordan Addison (three years, $82.5M, $34M guaranteed) with rising future cap numbers and void years; DT Jalen Redmond (three years, $48M, $23M guaranteed), noting his restricted free agent status and tender leverage; and a post-season Kyler Murray extension (four years, $140M) contingent on performance and Arizona's guaranteed-money timing. After all four, they estimate about $25M in 2027 cap space, discuss managing void-year dead money for several veterans, and preview training camp and a member call-in show. 00:00 Teasley Extension Outlook 01:40 Why Pay Your Own 02:54 Brian O'Neill Contract Case 06:07 Cap Math And Structure 12:06 Market Value Comparisons 16:36 Jordan Addison Extension Model 22:15 Cap Space After Two Deals 22:27 Jalen Redmond Extension Debate 27:46 Greenard Trade Fallout 28:29 Kyler vs McCarthy Extensions 30:26 Timing Guaranteed Money 31:19 Projecting Kyler Deal 33:34 Contract Structure Breakdown 36:23 McCarthy Fifth Year Option 39:55 If McCarthy Sits 43:08 Cap Space After Extensions 45:32 Draft Hits vs Free Agency 47:38 Front Office Uncertainty 48:39 Training Camp Countdown 49:53 Wrap Up And Membership _______________________ ⭐️ Subscribe to us here! - https://www.youtube.com/@vikings1stskol92 ⭐️ Our Twitter can be found at @Vikings1stSKOL ⭐️ Our Discord at https://discord.com/invite/493z6mQXcN ⭐️ Tyler Forness can be read at A to Z Sports - https://atozsports.com/nfl/minnesota-vikings-news/ ⭐️ Submit questions: forms.gle/7LJkCAern9kdUkuD8 ⭐️ On Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/vikings1standskol ⭐️ Watch the live show here: https://youtu.be/BGrNdO5SG6M Fan With Us!!! June 8, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 147 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers as they get ready for their final week of offseason practices. The Steelers recently signed OLB Nick Herbig and TE Darnell Washington to lucrative contract extensions, so on the heels of the two deals, Alex and I go over the finer details of both. We discuss the fully guaranteed money included in both deals, the injury guaranteed amounts, the cash flows, and the new 2026 salary cap charges for each player. Alex and I also quickly go over the new one-year contracts that TE Robert Tonyan and LB Jamin Davis each signed last week and how neither impacted the Steelers' salary cap situation. With the recent fleury of contract news, Alex and I go over where the Steelers now sit when it comes to their 2026 salary cap status. We discuss current salary cap space and what awaits the team when it comes to future costs later in the offseason. Alex and I discuss the latest news on college QB Brendan Sorsby when it comes to his potential 2026 playing eligibility. Alex recently wrote about what statistical areas that the Steelers must improve in this coming season, so we go over those three in addition to adding a fourth one while discussing the topic. This 70-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above, and we make sure to answer a few listener emails we have received to close out this show. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. June 2, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 144 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Tuesday afternoon show, an emergency episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing Pittsburgh Steelers OLB Nick Herbig coming to terms with the team on a four-year, $100 million contract extension at the start of the annual mandatory minicamp practices. Alex and I go over the early details related to Herbig's contract extension and where he now ranks league-wide as far as edge rushers in the NFL. We also discuss how early the Steelers were able to get the Herbig extension done and how refreshing that was. Alex and I then look at what this contract extension now might mean when it comes to getting him on the field more in 2026. We discuss how the team is likely to still stick with T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith in 2026 as well and how new DC Patrick Graham needs a plan to make sure all three outside linebackers are utilized enough. Alex and I talk about how Herbig is still an ascending player and how he now provides great insurance at the outside linebacker position moving past the 2026 season, and especially if either Watt or Highsmith don't play up above the line this year. We make sure to address how much Herbig's 2026 salary cap charge is likely to increase now and if the team will provide any fully guaranteed money in the new deal past the 2026 season. Finally, Alex and I discuss how Steelers CB Joey Porter Jr. might not be too far behind Herbig when it comes to his expected offseason contract extension. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices.
