On today's final episode as part of the Fit Girl Fall series this year, I'm answering a question submitted by one of our amazing listeners regarding how to measure your body fat while you're at home to be able to interpret if you're making progress or not with more certainty. One of the drawbacks of only using the scale to track your progress is sometimes you can lose body fat while gaining (or even maintaining muscle)... leading to body composition changes that aren't reflected on the scale. This means you can be making physical progress, looking leaner and even dropping your body fat percentage but the scale may not have budged anymore than a few pounds if that. This is why beginning a practice to track your body fat percentage and body composition is so crucial to your fitness journey, despite it sometimes being challenging without the right equipment. If you're ready to explore new ways to track your body composition and progress at home without needing fancy or expensive gadgets, this episode features my simple, at-home strategies I use with my own clients to measure progress in other ways than just the scale. Making Progress - Pastor Chad Hertler 1 Timothy 4
We're celebrating something BIG today… Episode 180 of Organizing with Ease! When I first started this podcast, it was co-hosted — just two women, two mics, and a lot of coffee. Then life shifted, and I had to decide: stop or keep going solo. And I chose to keep going, little by little. Week after week, step by step, here we are — 180 episodes later. And that's exactly what this milestone episode is all about: how to keep making progress when life feels full. Because let's be honest — October is busy. School, sports, deadlines, and holidays creeping closer. And the temptation is to say, “I'll wait for the perfect time.” But as research, real-life stories, and even some funny sayings remind us — progress doesn't come from giant leaps. It comes from small, consistent steps. In this episode, you'll learn: Why small, daily actions matter more than rare, giant efforts. What the Harvard Business Review and Stanford research say about the power of “little by little.” Why the Mayo Clinic believes daily low-intensity actions reduce stress better than bursts of effort. Client stories about garages, photos, and yes… even junk drawers, all transformed in just minutes a day. The quotes that keep me grounded, like: “A year from now, you'll wish you had started today.” – Karen Lamb “Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.” – Vincent Van Gogh “Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.” – Unknown By the end of this episode, you'll be ready to identify one area in your home or life to tackle in just 10 minutes a day — and you'll see how powerful that can be. ✨ Your October Challenge Calendar To make this fun and doable, I've created a free October Challenge Calendar you can download right now. It's filled with simple, daily prompts to help you stay consistent this season. Print it, post it where you'll see it, and check it off little by little. ➡️ [Download your October Challenge Calendar here] Support the showConnect with Diana:Business email: Diana@dsdeclutrr.comOur Instagram: @dsdeclutrrOur Facebook: @dsdeclutrrOur Websites: dsdeclutrr.com

In this episode, Coach Brendan sits down with member Cesar Mata, who is an avid mountain biker and now a dedicated CrossFitter. We discuss his prior experience in training at a regular gym (he did a lot of "bro sets" as he calls them), what appealed to him about CrossFit, what his perception of CrossFit was before starting vs. now (hint: it's not as scary as you might think and not nearly as dangerous as people make it out to be), as well as how it's helped him during his races on the trails, and much, much more. Enjoy!

Sometimes the smallest tasks create the biggest mental weight. That pile of papers on your desk, the drawer you've been meaning to organize, the business process that needs updating – they sit there, taking up space in your mind every single day. The energy you spend thinking about these undone tasks often exceeds the energy required to actually complete them. In this pep talk episode, I share a simple four-step process for moving past avoidance and procrastination to finally tackle those lingering tasks. Using my own closet overhaul as a real-world example, I walk through exactly how I shift from endless postponement to actual completion. The same process works for personal projects and business tasks that keep getting bumped to next week's to-do list. On the Tuesday edition of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette sports columnist Jason Mackey and insider Ray Fittipaldo gauge the Steelers' growth through three games. Is coach Mike Tomlin's defense improving, even if it's still giving up too many yards? How encouraged should we be that T.J. Watt and Cam Heyward produced like the stars they're supposed to be in NFL Week 3 against the New England Patriots? Is RB Jaylen Warren's elevated role in the offense a good thing? Do he and fellow RB Kenneth Gainwell have any chance for success behind a struggling offensive line that includes Broderick Jones and Troy Fautanu? Have those guys shown progress themselves? And what did we learn about DBs Jaylen Ramsey and Jabrill Peppers in facing Drake Maye and the Patriots? Our duo tackles those questions and more. What if your next career move wasn't about climbing the ladder—but making real progress toward a life of purpose? In this episode of Leveraging Thought Leadership, host Peter Winick sits down with Michael Horn—author, speaker, and co-founder of the Clayton Christensen Institute for Disruptive Innovation —to explore how thought leadership can transform education, careers, and the way we make big life decisions. Michael has spent decades applying the "Jobs to Be Done" framework—originally developed by Clayton Christensen—to help individuals and organizations rethink their goals. He's worked alongside entrepreneurs, university presidents, and innovators who are reshaping the future of learning and work. His latest book, "Job Moves: 9 Steps for Making Progress in Your Career", takes this powerful research and makes it personal—helping people make smarter, more fulfilling choices. We dig into how ideas evolve beyond their original intent. Christensen's theory of disruptive innovation started with disk drives, yet found its way into steel mills, education, and now career design. Michael shares how “Jobs to Be Done” is following a similar path, expanding from product design into deeply human territory—helping people identify the real motivations driving their decisions. We also tackle the big shifts in higher education. From universities facing demographic cliffs to the innovators thriving in the post-COVID landscape, Michael offers an unflinching look at what it takes for institutions to adapt—or be left behind. His insights bridge the gap between theory and practice, showing how thought leadership can both diagnose challenges and drive measurable change. This conversation is a masterclass in taking a proven idea, reimagining its applications, and building influence by serving a market that's ready for transformation. Whether you're leading an organization, shaping public policy, or charting your own next move, Michael's approach offers a blueprint for progress. Three Key Takeaways: • Decades of consulting experience can be distilled into a compelling book that captures proven strategies, lessons learned, and actionable insights for a targeted audience. • Translating expertise into thought leadership requires transforming complex, insider knowledge into clear, engaging narratives that resonate beyond your immediate industry. • A well-crafted book serves as a strategic asset, building credibility, expanding reach, and opening doors to new opportunities and revenue streams. If you enjoyed hearing Michael Horn unpack how big ideas like Jobs to Be Done can move from theory into real-world impact, you'll want to keep the momentum going with Liz Wiseman's episode, Taking Thought Leadership from Page to Practice. Both conversations dive into the art of translating deep expertise into actionable strategies that resonate beyond your immediate circle. Michael explored how to adapt proven frameworks to education, careers, and personal decisions. Liz builds on that by showing how to make your thought leadership stick—turning insights into tangible change within organizations. By listening to both episodes, you'll gain a powerful one-two punch: Michael's perspective on expanding the reach of great ideas, and Liz's blueprint for ensuring those ideas drive real, measurable results. Together, they'll give you fresh tools to move your own thought leadership from inspiration to implementation.
