"'The Wolf' is a song and a concept that I felt a lot of us can identify with," Wallen says. "We've all known those people that for whatever reason we just can't break ourselves away from them. An addiction on every level, all the while knowing it's a toxic situation. You break all those promises to yourself that you'll stay away, but ultimately there you are again."Commenting on the video, he shares, "The video for 'The Wolf' was shot in a beautiful house in south Nashville. Directed by Courtney Dellafiora, we wanted an intimate look and setting that was reminiscent of waking from a dream in the middle of the night, and then grabbing the guitar and playing the song. The most exciting thing of all with getting to work with 'Bane,' the real live wolf actor and his amazing training staff for the shoot! Keith first band he was in he was the singer. He feels he's a better singer then a guitarist. He figured he has off time to put out some solo music. He had it done right before the pandemic. J. D.'s dark times far exceed many of the hardships that most of us will ever face. The loss of a spouse or child is one of the most devastating experiences a person can undergo. He lost his first wife, the mother to his four children, to breast cancer in 2012, then lost his second wife to a brain aneuyrism in 2019. Along the way, J. D. owned a rodeo magazine and was an agriculture teacher at their local school, where he currently teaches today. His journey as a single father of four has pushed him to his limits and presented many challenges, but he always held onto to his Faith in Christ and his kids are his rock.
