With a remarkable track record playing across the United States, as well as being a multi-instrumentalist in numerous genres, it is clear he has a unique perspective when it comes to creating music. Hailing from Parsons, Tennessee, his interest in various instruments started at a young age when he began reading music in kindergarten while also gaining experience in the family band at church. By the late 90s, Scotty began expanding on his knowledge of music genres and branching out to multiple styles such as percussion and classical guitar performance before earning his spot as the band leader of the official NASCAR Rolling Thunder band for an entire season. Emmons reminisces, "It just felt like being back at home...Getting that connection back with him was an important feeling for me.
