Ever since Superman burst onto the scene 85 years ago in the first issue of Action Comics, Superman - The Legendary Man of Steel - has been Earth's mightiest hero. Originally created by Joe Schuster and Jerry Siegel in June of 1938, Superman has enjoyed many different iterations on the stage and screen, but none would be more important than the 1978 blockbuster Superman the Movie. However, like all great films, the journey from print to the screen would be arduous and filled with classic Hollywood turmoil.Hang out with us as we dive deep into Richard Donner's 1978 classic, starring Christopher Reeve as Superman, Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor, Marlon Brando as Jor-El, and Margot Kidder as Lois Lane on The Brothers in Armchairs Podcast. And just maybe, you'll believe a man can fly. Hang out with us as we discuss and review the 1978 classic, "Superman The Movie" on The Brothers in Armchairs Podcast. Zack Snyder's Justice League is coming to HBO Max this March -- how could it fix everything broken in the DCEU? Go to http://amazon.com/BIGQUESTIONRX to save on prescription medication! Go to http://babbel.com and use promo code BIGQUESTION to get an extra 3 months free! After three years, the Snyder Cut is finally being released, with Zack Snyder sharing his original vision of Justice League in a 4-hour event coming to HBO Max in March. Snyder's Justice League arrives after years of confusing twists and turns in the DC Cinematic world, with poorly learned lessons to Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice (2016) and Suicide Squad (2016) and mixed reactions to 2020 releases like Wonder Woman 1984 and Birds of Prey. And of course, the increasingly controversial theatrical release of Justice League from Warner Bros. and replacement director Joss Whedon. Erik Voss and Zach Huddleston break down the full DCEU timeline -- what happened to this franchise, where did things go wrong, and how can the Snyder Cut get them back on track? What do we have to look forward to from James Gunn's The Suicide Squad and the Flash movie?

More often than not Marvel Movies get all the love so we thought it was time to give the DC Movies some love as well.
It's a Deucecast Justice League of sorts, as Mikey, Dave, and #TwitterlessDrEarl meet to discuss DC Comics made into films. Being mostly Marvel guys, it was time to look across the aisle to the other company and the other films. And to do that, they needed to bring an expert, the co-host of the DC Talk Podcast... and the Caped Chronicles Podcast... and the Mikes Movie Minute Podcast... AND the Previously on Lost Podcast... Mike Ellis, aka, the newly christened DC Mike joins the show to talk all things DC. A great discussion about the good and bad of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice... Jesse Eisenberg's portrayal of Lex... the overall status of the DC Cinematic Universe... and much more. The guys play a ridiculous new game called "Name By Name", asking them to name any actor in a DC movie. Any actor. In any DC movie. And as you'd expect, it goes completely off the rails. You'd want nothing less. Then the guys give their Top Five Fave DC Films... a great chat about Dark Knight... the love of BvS... Dave's obsession with the The Losers... the vision that is Gal Godat... Defending the Martha scene... Supes new powers... Katie vs Maggie... the DC Animated movie series Find Mike on his podcasts: @capedchronicles... @DCtalkpod... @Lostrewatchpod Here are movies discussed and where to find them at the time of our recording: Batman (1989) (HBOMax; DC Universe) Batman Begins (Hulu) Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (HBOMax) Batman: The Killing Joke (HBOMax) Batman Mask of the Phantasm (available by rental) Constantine (Hulu) The Dark Knight (Hulu) The Death of Superman Lives (not streaming) The Losers (HBO Max) Man of Steel (Fubo) Shazam! (HBO Max) Superman (1980) (DC Universe) Superman II (1981) (available by rental) Superman Returns (available by rental) Teen Titans Go! to the Movies (HBO Max) Watchmen (DC Universe)

Siris King talks about various news from the CW-DC corner. Supergirl: The movie is coming does this spell doom for Kara on CW. Also there will be a new batman, and the DC Cinematic universe will be rebooted again. Siris King reacts
Oh, Zack Snyder - go home, you're drunk. Snyder is still sticking with his vision of the DC Universe and championing a Batman who kills (and lies and commits atrocities in tandem with the government), which is frankly shocking. How anyone could create Man of Steel, Batman vs. Superman, and Justice League, and not be even a little embarrassed at their incompetence, poor storytelling, and near-universal panning from audiences and critics, and not feel a twinge of regret, is mind-blowing to me. But Snyder let fans have an earful of why superheroes are all monsters, and we should suck it up if we don't like it. He also gets a little sexual and just generally awful and creepy. Watch the Dunning-Kruger Effect in action, in this video from Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/DC_Cinematic/comments/b4vrku/other_snyder_on_having_batman_kill_in_bvs/ Tomorrow night, I'll discuss all of the Apple news announced today, after I do some research and take News Plus for a spin. In this episode of Conversation on Tap, Jose is joined by... Jose, who was a guest in a previous episode. We begin the episode by drinking the delicious Barrel House Mango IPA-- a drink so good that Jose (the regular co-host) got slightly drunk and spilled his beer. For their FRED Talk, Jose (guest) talked about the cancellation of the Roseanne show after a series of racist Tweets; Jose talked about the exact date of Jesus' crucifixion. They also discussed the Janus decision by the Supreme Court and how that will impact public sector unions. But, once they got started, the two Joses took sides: Marvel or DCEU. On the one hand, DC has been raking in the dough at the box office, but Marvel has a visionary in the guise of Kevin Feige. They also take some time to discuss moustache-gate and the fact that both Superman and Batman have mothers named Martha. It was quite the nerdy chat, but as the Mango IPA flowed the two Joses focused more and more on DC and less on Marvel. As they wrapped it up, Jose (guest) talked about watching Netflix's The Toys That Made Us; Jose talked about how Queer Eye made him cry. Hopefully, you enjoyed the discussion! If you did, then please share this episode with your friends on social media. We will see you next week! Salut!
