Clare football manager Paul Madden says his side's failure to secure breaking balls in the middle of the field was the defining factor in their Tailteann Cup defeat against Longford. A 2-17 to 1-18 defeat to the Leinster side in Round 2B of the second tier competition sees Clare become one of the first teams to exit the football championship this season. Oran Kenny and Dylan Farrell raised green flags for the visitors in the last 10 minutes, with Clare unable to claw back the deficit despite two pointers from Emmet McMahon and Aaron Griffin. Madden says they didn't do enough right on the day.

This week, it's huddle time again. We have NO games to pick, not even the “Pro Bowl” and well the headlines will suffice. The NFL head coaching carousel has been busy since our last show. Robert Saleh gets a well deserved second chance as the old ball coach for the Titans. Mike McCarthy gets a very undeserved third chance at being a head coach for the Steelers. One and done? We take a moment to break down the AFC and NFC Championship Games. The Pats made enough plays on both sides of the ball to scoot past the Broncos. While the Seahawks and Rams put on a show, with Seattle moving onto Super Bowl 60. Is Sam Darnold elite? Will a former Dallas Cowboy make next year's big game?? Should the G-League make a play to become the next conference in College Basketball??? And do you Skimo bro???? Download and subscribe, rate and review. There has already been a strong backlash in Clare to the decision by Munster GAA to reintroduce seeding to the provincial football championship. Last nights meeting of provincial delegates saw them back the move to keep the two highest ranked teams in the National League apart in the semi final draw, with Clare voting against the proposal. The move has been introduced for a three year term, with no details released of how other county delegates voted on the matter. It means Kerry and Cork will be kept apart for 2026, with Clare's delegates being the central driving force behind trying to stop the move from happening. To discuss this further, Derrick Lynch was joined by Bernard Keane, present at the meeting.
