Guilty Crown's setting begins in 2029 when an unidentified "Apocalypse Virus" spreads and plunges Japan into a state of emergency in a chaos known as the "Lost Christmas". An international organization known as the GHQ intervenes with martial law and restores order to Japan at the cost of its independence.Ten years later in 2039, Shu Ouma, a 17-year-old high school student who keeps to himself in school, meets Inori Yuzuriha, the lead singer for Egoist, while visiting one of his favorite places on his way home from school. Shu is a big fan of Inori, a singer who has taken the Internet world by storm. However, he also discovers the other side of her, which is that she is a member of "Funeral Parlor", a resistance group that aims to liberate Japan from the GHQ. Shu starts taking a part in the actions of "Funeral Parlor" and the "King's Mark" appears on his right hand. On December 24, 2029, a catastrophe known as the "Lost Christmas" incident plunges Japan into a state of panic. As a result of the catastrophe, A virus known as the Apocalypse virus has become rampant amongst the people of Japan, transforming the infected into a crystallized form. This week we have a great anime with great music. Guilty Crown is one of those anime that is super well rounded and great in many ways. Take a listen and hopefully we can convince you we're right.

In retrospect I thought that this particular minisode would be all over the place, it turned out to be pretty straight line. I start things off with an anime review featuring Guilty Crown. It's a decent show but with character flaws and an odd divide between the "seasons" it avoids being a great series. Following that is a track-by-track analysis of Linkin Park's new album "The Hunting Party." As I mentioned in the review itself I'm a big fan of Linkin Park so perhaps my view is a little skewed and then I delve a little further into my random thoughts concerning their previous works. So this was an episode I so should've done ages at least a couple weeks ago. Nonetheless as I say," Better late than never." So for this week I review 12 Years a Slave and Read or Die (OVA). Does 12 Years hold it up to its Best Picture status? You'll have to listen to find out. As for Read or Die that requires a little research on your end but nonethless if you happen upon it you should definitely give it a watch. Afterwards I talk about the Box Office Report and the news.
