After reading Choujin X, the bois turn back the clock ten years to watch Ishida-Sensei's previous work, Tokyo Ghoul! Does it still hold up?
Off-record anti-piracy meetings take place between streaming companies and the U.S. government, Aniplex+ teams with Crunchyroll for an anime production venture, and an authorized Serial Experiments Lain game launches April 30! Also, Niantic is to sell Pokémon GO to Saudi Arabian mobile publisher, Tokyo Ghoul comes to Dead by Daylight, Pokemon Horizons to implement a time skip in the next season, and Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid film adds 4D screens in Japan! Meanwhile in Japan, the world's first 3D-printed train station building planned for a train line, and a foreign man was arrested for trespassing while drunk?!
The bois discuss Choujin X and whether it feels underrated compared to Sui Ishida's last work, Tokyo Ghoul

This week, the crew is back with some wild debates and fun “what-if” scenarios! First, we tackle a tough question: out of 15 iconic shonen anime, which 3 would we erase forever? Ty is left speechless by Rico's final pick—don't miss the reaction! Next, we dive into the ultimate smack-talk showdown, debating which anime character reigns supreme when it comes to talking trash. From Dio and Vegeta to Yusuke and Gojo, the arguments get heated! Then it's decision time: would you rather become a Demon Slayer demon or a ghoul from Tokyo Ghoul? Cj and Ty go head-to-head in choosing the better transformation. In a creative twist, Rico challenges the group to build the strongest anime character using a list of powers—find out who comes out on top. Finally, the stakes get crazy as the crew picks which anime villain they'd survive being locked in a room with… for $100 billion. Let's just say things take a hilarious turn! Tune in for debates, laughs, and unexpected twists in this jam-packed episode

We're taking a break from reading books to watch episodes of Tokyo Ghoul. In Erin's birthday episode, we discuss all of the things we watched from the first few episodes, and compare it to the manga. But don't worry, we'll continue the book discussions next episode!
"LIGHTNING BLAST!" It's our last free week before our next marathon, so we figured it was time to venture into uncharted territory: the world of anime stage play adaptations! More get produced than you'd think, for IPs such as Tokyo Ghoul, Ace Attorney, and even Chainsaw Man recently. However, one franchise in particular that's found massive success in front of live audiences is the PERSONA franchise, particularly -- of course -- PERSONA 5. Getting four separate musicals covering the entire story of the base game, P5 has been a monumental hit on the stage. We may not be doing all of them, but we have enough time to look at the first chapter. So, come watch with Brian, Alec, and Trey as they take a look at the insane world of PERSONA 5 the Stage!
On this episode of Semi-Bookish, continue our book discussions! Join us as we discuss Erin's Pick: Tokyo Ghoul.

They take it all the way there, as only our sisters would, and by the time you get halfway, you'll wish you were the main character in the epic Anime film Your Name. Show them some love. Pun unintentionally intended. While you're in the mood, why not share a box with the one you love? Why not give them a Tokyo Treat? Every month has a different theme and this month's theme is Be My Valentine. Indulge in delicious snacks filled with love!

In this episode we discuss the expeditions of a failed Japanese Defense Force candidate who settles into a career of cleaning up Kaiju bodies upon being defeated by the defense force. Kafka meets a young cleaner who aspires to join the defense force and inspires Kafka to give it another try. Be warned listener. We actually liked this manga. We were wrapped from start to end. What is going on with this humanoid Kaiju who seemingly can control others? What would you do to fight by Mina's side? Tokyo Ghoul vibes? Why the mouth?
