In life, I've asked for patience. And guess what I got? A long wait on things I wanted. When I asked for integrity........... I was tested at every turn. When I asked about having more responsibility, I got more people to care for, and more bills to go with it. When you're setting your intentions and asking for more, be sure you know what it is you are asking for. The path you choose will not be easy. There will be trials. Tribulations. And tests to see if you are willing to be who you need to become to receive the gifts you're requesting. Stay focused. And realize, everything you want, you can have right now. All you have to do is ask. I recently finished reading Erica Amoreena's book, Girl, Stolen: A Collection of Memories (2024) where she describes traumatic experiences she has had with Gray aliens who abducted her on numerous occasions during her childhood. The Gray abductions were followed by Military Abductions (MILABs) where she again suffered physical and emotional abuse by members of the covert military intelligence community. Eventually, Amoreena freed herself of the Gray abductions and learned that she is part of a Galactic Envoy program with a Pleiadian husband who is a Commander in the Galactic Federation of Worlds.Continued at: https://exopolitics.org/the-trauma-and-tribulations-of-a-galactic-envoy/
Tribulation comes to everyone. For a faith-believing Christian we know that tribulation, a valley experience, will always result in a victory, a mountain experience! A perfect example is a listing of Paul's tribulations, and always ending in victory for his work for the Lord. 2Co 11:25-31 "Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not? If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.

Join us for an insightful discussion with Coach Sherrata as he reflects on the Wilton Beavers' current baseball season. As of now, with an official record of 8-5, they have experienced both highs and lows, triumphing in some games while facing setbacks in others. Despite challenges, the team's pitching has shown remarkable strength with standout performances from Ben Garvin and Owen Hassel. Garvin boasts an impressive ERA and has been pivotal in several wins, while Hassel surprises with his newfound efficiency on the mound. Discussing the team's hitting prowess, Coach Sherrata acknowledges steady improvement as they aim to peak towards the end of the month. The team's defensive plays remain solid overall, with occasional corrections needed to overcome errors in tight games. Looking ahead, the Beavers are gearing up for a series of compelling matches, including their anticipated face-off against MidPrairie. With the support of Round Guy Radio, fans can follow live games on social media and cheer them on as they strive for another successful season, much like their impressive performance last year that led them to the state tournament.

In this sermon, we explore how the Israelites journey through tribulation—facing opposition from an unbelieving world, the power of sin, and conflict within their own community—mirrors the challenges Christians encounter today. Just as God delivered His people through their suffering, we find our victory over these tribulations through faith in Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world. The post Through Many Tribulations appeared first on Mt. Rose OPC.
Justin explores the theme of enduring trials with faith, emphasizing that suffering is an inevitable part of life in a fallen world, but through perseverance and reliance on God, individuals can grow spiritually and find joy not in the trials themselves, but in what they produce—maturity, strength, and deeper faith. Believers need to practice two disciplines: "consider" (self-talk grounded in biblical truth) and "ask" (prayerfully seeking God's wisdom). Rachel Windram also shares her deeply moving story of losing her husband in a tragic accident and how her faith in God sustained her through grief.~~~Get more information on the series:https://ruc.org.za/jamesPlan a visit to Rosebank Union Church in Sandton, Johannesburghttps://ruc.org.za/visit

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." The question is, how do we function in this life knowing what Jesus said is true? Tribulations come our way, but how do we overcome them? First, we need to understand that there is so much more to life than what we see around us. We experience tribulations and challenges, make decisions, and take actions in life based on what we see and hear going on around us. We need to get to the place in life that we can operate in life where God operates. This is His Realm and He wants us to know how to really live. Here's a message that could change your way thinking and living.

Ravensburg, and you are very much forgiven if you cannot place it on the map, is today a town of 50,000 in the far south eastern corner of Baden-Württemberg between Friedrichshafen, home of the Zeppelins, and the city of Ulm and its majestic church tower. If you have heard of it, it may be because of Ravensburger, the publisher of puzzles and boardgames, but you would not have associated it with any great mercantile or commercial activity.Nevertheless, in the 15th century it housed the headquarters of a company that held a near monopoly in the trade between Spain and the empire and in certain wares, namely linen and a special cloth variously called barchent, bombast or fustian. Before we get into Ravensburger and the Grosse Handelsgesellschaft, we need to put the whole region into the context of the free imperial cities of the 15th century.Trading routes of the HABW_11_03_Ravensburger_Handelsgesellschaft.jpg (4957×3535)The music for the show is Flute Sonata in E-flat major, H.545 by Carl Phillip Emmanuel Bach (or some claim it as BWV 1031 Johann Sebastian Bach) performed and arranged by Michel Rondeau under Common Creative Licence 3.0.As always:Homepage with maps, photos, transcripts and blog: www.historyofthegermans.comIf you wish to support the show go to: Support • History of the Germans PodcastFacebook: @HOTGPod Threads: @history_of_the_germans_podcastBluesky: @hotgpod.bsky.socialInstagram: history_of_the_germansTwitter: @germanshistoryTo make it easier for you to share the podcast, I have created separate playlists for some of the seasons that are set up as individual podcasts. they have the exact same episodes as in the History of the Germans, but they may be a helpful device for those who want to concentrate on only one season. Previously I talked about the world in the 14 and1500s and how the early Spanish explorers while looking for a path to India bumped into Texas, and a little bit about the Native peoples they encountered. Today, I will further explore some of the trials and Tribulations of The Early Spanish Explorers of Texas. I'll also touch on the geography of Texas because that plays a major role in how Texas was explored, and it affected the lives of those who lived here. There is an old Texas saying, “the sun has rose, the sun has set, and I ain't out of Texas yet” Texas is huge, if you are going to drive from Louisiana through Texas to New Mexico, you will travel at least 982 miles (or 1,580 km for our non-American listeners). When you look at a map of Texas, you can see it does take up a whole bunch of the middle of the country; in fact, it takes up over 250 thousand square miles, and that's a lot of real estate. Texas has four distinct physical or geographical regions and, in my opinion, those regions played an important role in the exploration and early settlements in Texas. How the early Spanish explorers dealt with the physical conditions and the people who were native to the various regions often decided if they lived or died. The four regions are the Gulf Coastal Plains, the North Central Plains, the Great Plains, and the Basin and Range Province. Not a complete trancript

This recording is a condensed version of the sermon preached at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church on May 4, 2025. You can watch the full recording on our YouTube Channel. Romans 4:23-5:5 Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, 24 but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification. 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. The "Therefore" of Easter 1. Therefore, We Have Peace with God 2. Therefore, We Glory in Tribulations
“The theme that I found with IPSO [International Psychoanalytical Studies Organization] was that there was a common theme [in psychoanalytic training]. There was an initial phase full of terror and excitement, and then a middle phase of maybe some lethargy or apathy or disillusionment. In that middle phase, many candidates found IPSO, or IPSO found them, where they found refuge. They found solace. They found community, not just at their local institutes, but at this kind of world market. Many of the candidates talk about what a timely and wonderful experience it was to be seen, to be validated by fellow candidates in a way that only fellow candidates can do. At least a couple of the authors have written about how they were delighted to see that more than anything else we are similar as human beings, no matter where we're from.” Episode Description: We begin with recognizing the deep attachment that many analytic candidates have about their training experiences, which includes affections and resentments. Himanshu outlines the process of reaching out to candidates globally, inviting them to share their reflections on their journeys. We read from a sampling of their essays that eloquently describe their idealizations and de-idealizations, their delights and their burdens, their profound regard for the mysteries of the mind and the appreciation of the power of psychoanalysis to engage with it. We discuss the importance of IPSO, the difficulties associated with Covid and the relevance of our field's traumatic origins. Himanshu closes with sharing his story of encountering an insightful analytic supervisor during his residency and declaring "I want to be like him." Power of Tribulations: 3/2/25 Homily by Fr. Patrick Hyde, OP
Nicolas Brembre was mayor. Again. His political opponents were jailed. He had the ear of the King. All seemed to be going well for the wool merchant, turned politician. But down the river Thames, in Westminster, national events began spiralling out of control and the young king and Parliament seemed to be on a collision course. Trying their best to navigate this unexpected twist was London, and the Mayor had to find the correct approach to take. A country gripped with fear of invasion is the backdrop of an episode that will lead to the destruction of a certain book…
Today, we are breaking down Rolls-Royce. A fair warning to those expecting to hear about luxury automobiles, that division was split from this business in the 1970s. But as we discuss the history of Rolls-Royce on this episode, you will hear how the DNA of this company still ties together from its early 1900s origins. Our guest is Graeme Forster from Orbis Investments. Graeme walks us through the core business of Rolls-Royce in the aerospace market, the evolving duopoly of the wide-body aircraft engine manufacturers, and the ups and downs of properly capturing the economic opportunity. I really appreciated Graeme's intellectual honesty in discussing Rolls, and I expect you will, too. Hekate is a titan goddess blessed by Zeus. What better way to gain a god's favor than by assisting another goddess in the search for her kidnapped daughter? This Sunday, join Liv as she shares the retelling of Homer's Hymn to Demeter, which narrates the abduction of Persephone, the goddess of Spring, by Hades, the God of the Underworld. As with many spiritual interpretations, the context of our times influences how we extract wisdom from ancient mythologies. It's no surprise that contemporary views on Persephone's descent into the underworld to wed her uncle have led to significant modern and literal interpretations. As we begin reading 1 Peter today, Fr. Mike walks us through Peter's powerful message about persevering in trials, trusting that those sufferings purify our love and faith by teaching us to love God for his own sake and not just the gifts he blesses us with. Finally, as we wrap up Colossians, Fr. Mike highlights St. Paul's call to uphold the obligations we have to others in society, in our family, and in our work. Today we read 1 Peter 1-2, Colossians 3-4, and Proverbs 30:10-14. For the complete reading plan, visit ascensionpress.com/bibleinayear.
