Three of the four co-hosts are here this week with Super Marcey, Prof. Batch and Kollin, no Bede this episode because Baby Kraven tapped him out last week and he's probably also avoiding the nerds he's upset. Batch's pick kicks off a new month and he's chosen a movie that honestly could have been made specifically for this podcast with Hobo With A Shotgun (2011)! This is the second film for this show that came about from a fake trailer featured in Grindhouse, I guess that means if Thanksgiving (2023) hits Tubi it'll have to be done for this show. Anyways, enjoy this wild episode everyone!Hobo With A Shotgun was directed by Jason Eisener, it stars Rutger Hauer, Molly Dunsworth, Brian Downey, Gregory Smith, Robb Wells and Pasha Ebrahimi. If you have never listened to a commentary before and want to watch the film along with the podcast, here is how it works. You simply need to grab a copy of the film or load it up on Tubi (you may need alcohol), and sync up the podcast audio with the film. We will tell you when to press and you follow along, it is that easy! Because we have watched the films on Tubi, it is a free service and there are ads, however we will give a warning when it comes up, so you can pause the film and provide time stamps to keep in sync.Highlights include:* The belief is Bede is not here because he's avoiding Baby Kraven and the nerds!* Shout out to ONLYFANGS - currently on Indiegogo from the makers of Murdercise!* Kollin is in for a treat as he hasn't seen Hobo With A Shotgun before!* So Brian Downey as Drake is obviously a Best Supporting Actor nominee!* Can you tell this film was shot in Canada?!* Can you predict which moment from the Attitude Era gets referenced?!* That isn't hot gloryholes work!* Who laughed the most this episode? Batch, Marcey or Kollin?* Plus much, much more!Check out The Super Network on Patreon to gain early access to The Tubi Tuesdays Podcast!DISCLAIMER: This audio commentary isn't meant to be taken seriously, it is just a humourous look at a film. This week Wally forced us to watch Hobo With a Shotgun - and Tara was less than pleased.. but the fellas may have a different opinion.. but we dive into all of the "qualities" of this film nonetheless, along with somehow venturing back into the conversation of battling/befriending different wild animals - we clearly can't get enough of those debates. What do we rank this movie? Does Rotten Tomatoes agree? If you haven't seen it, should you?? (Tara says no..) I mean, we're talking executions in the street, excessive violence and gore, and... murder by ice skates? Really? Jesus Christ. All this and more as we dive head first into the mayhem. You've been warned. Also, The Plague rules.

Episode 183: Taking out the trash. Two movies off the street, heaped in a rotting pile in the sun and drawing flies. Street Trash (1987), Hobo With A Shotgun (2011).
Today we are joined with the Switzerland's rebellious spirited directors Johannes Hartmann and Sandro Klopfstein! They recently released the special edition Blu-Ray of their film Mad Heidi and it was one of the most fun we had watching a movie all year. We put this in the same category of Machete, Death Proof, Planet Terror, Hobo With A Shotgun, Turbo Kid and recommend it to anyone who loves high quality craziness. Around hearing the behind the scenes details of making the film, we also learn about the Swiss film industry and how they really had to go against the grain to make this happen, and leave us with advice for aspiring film makers who want to bring their crazy ideas to life!
In this super fun ep John Davies (screenwriter of Hobo with a Shotgun and Kids vs. Aliens) joins us to talk about the movie moments that scarred us as kids. Are kid movies traumatizing enough anymore? Plus, the legacy of the 2000s torture porn era on popular audiences.

A movie that's sure to feel nostalgic to anyone who spent their childhood making movies with their friends! It's been far too long since we had a feature length film from Jason Eisner. He first hit the scene winning a contest to have a fan shot, fake trailer be part of the Quentin Tarantino/Robert Rodriguez Grindhouse experience. That fake trailer was Hobo With a Shotgun, which he later turned into a full length feature starring Rutger Hauer in 2011. Now he is back with Kids Vs. Aliens, a full length feature based on the short Slumber Party Alien Abduction, which was his contribution to the V/H/S 2 anthology. We spoke with Jason about both these films and had a blast doing so. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/overduerentals/support

We continue our chilling month of spoopy ways to die with Hobo with a Shotgun (2011). The title isn't a winner, but the film is. It is everything we wish Rubber could have been. It had no right to be so good, to the point that we're mad about it. How dare it be so damn entertaining. Our review is less so, but if you manage to comment the keyword that we've hidden in the episode, we will give you a shout-out post! Mike and Mike have a great time discussing homelessness. Mike and Mike watch this genre film and discuss others of its ilk. Thank you for going on this journey with us. A vigilante homeless man pulls into a new city and finds himself trapped in urban chaos, a city where crime rules and where the city's crime boss reigns. Seeing an urban landscape filled with armed robbers, corrupt cops, abused prostitutes, and even a pedophile Santa, the Hobo (Rutger Hauer) goes about bringing justice to the city the best way he knows how - with a 20-gauge shotgun. Mayhem ensues when he tries to make things better for the future generation. Street justice will indeed prevail.
