In this electrifying episode, we're joined by Conor Sweeney, star of Frankie Freako, now available on demand and on Blu-ray! Conor takes us into the neon-soaked puppet chaos of his latest collaboration with Astron-6 alumni Director Steve Kostanski (PG: Psycho Goreman) and co-star Adam Brooks (Father's Day). In the film, where he plays an uptight yuppie battling pint-sized evil led by the maniacal rock 'n' roll goblin Frankie Freako. Conor shared amazing behind-the-scenes stories from Frankie as well as his other his cult classics like Chowboys and Cool Guys (and yes, we out if he really played the keytar in the talent show scene). Conor also dished out some stellar movie recommendations, including Of Unknown Origin, Sorcerer, and the original 1953 classic The Wages of Fear. Plus, we get the inside scoop on Steve Kostanski's upcoming Deathstalker film—an epic throwback fantasy fans won't want to miss. Obviously, many of us film fans see movies in theaters througout the year, whether it be at a national chain or at an independent, arthouse theater - or both. Some of us are even hitting film festivals, special screenings, and for the truly unhinged cinephiles, film marathons. For these kind of events to happen though, there have to be some mad geniuses behind the scenes. Those people are film programmers, and they do so much for our the culture of our fandom; from tracking down film the best quality prints available, to figuring out who owns the rights, to actually making the screenings happen. A lot of times their success comes down to the sheer passion they have for these offbeat, awkward, or just downright strange and fucked up motion pictures that makes them want to pass that along to new viewers. In other words, helping new fans Discover the Horror! One of those mad geniuses is Will Morris, who is one of the programmers for the world-famous Music Box Theatre in Chicago. Will has been programming The Music Box of Horrors a 24-hour horror marathon for close to a decade now, as well as programming their yearly January Giallo festival, and much, much more. We invited Will to come on the show to not only explain a little of what he does, but why. Get ready for a fun and wild ride. Vi pratar också om: The Guardian, Entombed, Left Hand Path, Cynthia Eller, The Myth of Matriarchal Prehistory, Of Unknown Origin, Den gamle och havet, Psycho, Fredagen den 13, Mama, The Usual Suspects, The Village, Sean S. Cunningham, Halloween, Victor Miller, John Carpenter, Bret Easton Ellis, Betsy Palmer, Adrienne King, Andres Muschietti, Guillermo Del Toro, Nicolaj Coster Waldau, Jessica Chastain, Game of Thrones, Zero Dark Thirty, The Conjuring, Javier Botet, Rec, Rosemary's Baby, Roman Polanski, Ira Levin, Piledriver, The Shining, Shelley Duvall, Stepfather, Stephen King, Cujo, John Ajvide Lindqvist, Låt de gamla drömmarna dö, Tindalos, Anders Fager, H.P.
This week: BJ sleeps in, Sean gets bored with a mountain climbing expedition gone horribly wrong, and Brad looses his shit over Asylum flicks! We cover a handful of flicks that have arrived on our doorstep and then spend time with Peter Weller's first film, Of Unknown Origin, for our Stream Screams segment, then we move on to VHS-OMG with 1995's "Men-on-a-hunting-trip-gone-horribly-wrong" flick Dominion.

Back in the Diner after a spell, Jon Wallace joins us again for what is our penultimate exploration of all things James Woods and Peter Weller related. Making the most of it then, we delve into two of their most defining solo performances Oliver Stone's Salvador and George P Cosmatos' Of Unknown Origin. In typical Woods style he fights with everyone and anything, including strangling an inanimate camera surrounded by the horrors of South American civil war and Peter Weller destroys an Upper East Side brownstone duking it out with a giant rat.Add some joyously silly comedy and a ridiculous musical number and you have another GREAT episode you won't want to miss!Follow Jon on Twitter @Jon__WallaceFind Miscellaneous Plumbing Fixtures's albums at miscplumbingfixtures.bandcamp.comYou can SHOP The After Movie Diner http://www.cafepress.com/aftermoviediner LOTS of original and unique designs available on a variety of clothing styles for all ages, office & home supplies and gifts for all the family!
