In this week's episode of the AIPT Movies podcast, Alex, Tim, and Matt discuss the continuation of Rian Johnson's Benoit Blanc detective series, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery! Surprise cameos! Celebrity-sourced small batch hot sauce! An incredible cast (but especially Jessica Henwick and Janelle Monáe)! A story full of twists and turns that keeps the audience guessing throughout, and characters developed through both narrative elements and costume choices! Is there such a thing as a “fun murder romp?” Apparently, yes!In addition, Matt saw (and enjoyed) the first half of Emily the Criminal, while Alex felt lukewarm about Black Adam, but was completely blown away by M3GAN.You can find AIPT Movies on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. As always, if you enjoy the podcast, be sure to leave us a positive rating, subscribe to the show, and tell your friends! The AIPT Movies podcast brings you the latest in movie news, reviews, and more! Hosted by supposed “industry vets,” Alex Harris, Tim Gardiner, and Matt Paul, the show gives you a peek behind the scenes from three filmmakers with oddly nonexistent filmographies. This week we talk to Eamon from The Chats about how their first single, “Smoko”, went viral, what it was like opening for Guns N' Roses on their recent stadium tour, how he went from washing dishes at Splendour in the Grass to playing main stage just a few years later, and why he started playing in bands (was it just to get underage beers?).Get tickets to our 2023 tour here: https://tnsw.co/tourShout outs @eamonsandwichSign up to our Patreon for a bonus pod each week (that's double the pod!) and other VIP stuff for just $5 a month:https://patreon.com/whatagreatpunkJoin us all in the TNSW Discord community chathttps://tnsw.co/discordWatch our Comedy Central mockumentary series and TNSW Tonight! on YouTube:https://youtube.com/thesenewsouthwhalesFollow us on Twitch:https://twitch.tv/thesenewsouthwhalesTNSW on Spotify:https://open.spotify.com/artist/0srVTNI2U8J7vytCTprEk4?si=e9ibyNpiT2SDegTnJV_6Qg&dl_branch=1TNSW: @thesenewsouthwhalessJamie: @mossylovesyouTodd: @mrtoddandrewshttps://patreon.com/whatagreatpunkhttps://thesenewsouthwhales.comShout-outs to the Honorary Punks of the Pod:Oli MossMagnusHarry WalkomHugh FlassmanZac NickClaireElliott FlassmanJimi KendallEdmund SmithAngus LillieLachy TanBen JaminDan Dingus

The Christopher Guest mockumentary that started it all, "This Is Spinal Tap," blended brilliant musical parodies and absurd non-sequiturs well ahead of its time in 1984. It was so convincing that a young Gene Lyons and a drunken Ozzy Osbourne thought Spinal Tap was a real band. In this episode, Shat The Movies commissioner Scott H. in Friendswood, Texas, treats Ash to one of her favorite comedies. Consider it a Christmas gift full of amazing one-liners, cringe harmonies, jaw-dropping cameos and a strange sense of heart. We all remember "it goes to 11," but so many other gags make "This Is Spinal Tap" worth rewatching in 2022: Stonehenge, exploding drummers, flower people, Australians' nightmares and "Big Bottoms." Did it make our Top 10 movies of all time? Have a listen and find out. BKK 1st Time, The Good Human - แวน ธิติพงษ์ สองผลงานที่ยกมาเป็นงานของแขกรับเชิญที่มาในอีพีนี้นั่นเอง คือ เบนซ์-ธนชาติ ศิริภัทราชัย ที่มาพูดถึงความหลงใหลในงาน Mockumentary และตัวอย่างงานที่ได้เคยดูกัน #SalmonPodcast #SalmonLAB #SalmonHouse #Arttrovert #เรื่องศิลปะน่าสนใจ #Podcast #พอดแคสต์ #พอดคาสต์ Learn more about your ad choices. We near the end of Grab Bag Month with a film that is much more topical than it has any right to be, unfortunately, especially regarding American politics: Bob Roberts. Written, directed, and starring Tim Robbins, it is shot cinema-verite style as it follows the titular Roberts, a businessman turned folk singer, who is attempting to run for Pennslyvania senator. It's a horrifying and sobering look at dirty tricks in politics and how the masses can be controlled by even the most seemingly innocuous of messages. Film critic Dustin Rutledge joins Chris to talk all about the film, the real-life implications, and why the film still holds up. "The Blair Witch Project" is an example of an indie masterpiece and at the same time being a horror film. The decision to make the film feel realistic led partially to the power of the film, the acting is incredible that it makes you feel like you're amongst the trio of characters. I also discuss how things just gets worse in matters of sequences.

Jamie was sick this week so we've unlocked a recent Patreon classic ep for you punx — "We were meant to have The Wombats on this episode but they couldn't make it so we had a lovely chat with their publicist, Rhiannon, for a bit instead. We then moved on to discuss nicknames that stick, band members who are clearly “the friend” in the band, getting stitched up at a sausage sizzle, some behind the scenes shit from our TV show, and we also played a game of 'guess what instruments each member of the band play from looking at a photo'."
