Once again the world got together to explore the fantastic world of superheroes. This time the focus was the stories that will be coming to our televisions. I was very excited to celebrate with fans from all over the world who love these stories just like I do. The DC characters may have fantastical powers, but it is their personal stories that we see reflected in our own lives that keep us tuning in week after week. It was clear to me that DC wants to promote diversity and bring us some hope in these troubled times. The world needs heroes and DC Fandome was here to show us what is next for our favorites. The new Superman and Lois show is set to show us a side of the Man of Steel we have never seen before. In this chapter of his life Clark is married to Lois and raising twin teenage sons. Prior to Crisis on Infinite Earths Clark had one son who was a baby last he saw him. I wonder if he knows these boys? Does he have any memories of their lives before this point? Will Crisis on Infinite Earths have anything to do with the fact that Gotham needs a new hero because Kate Kane is gone? How will the characters returning to Batwoman’s second season interact? Kate was the glue in the story so I am interested to see the new structure as a new hero rises. Green Butterfly of course is also wondering how this will affect Batwoman and Supergirl collaborations. I really enjoyed the friendship Kate and Kara were building. The Flash team is fractured with Iris still stuck in the mirror universe. I am very interested in Barry having to save the City using something other than speed. He is a scientist and it would be really cool so see him be a hero in another way. I am also excited we are going to have two strong women reporters on the CW schedule in 2021. Iris West Allen and Lois Lane changing the world with words. A season of change is coming to the CW. Superman and Lois will have to balance family life and hero life. The Flash will have to live life out of the fast lane as he fights to get his wife back. If that is not enough super variety there is more. Our fearless Legendary Captain Lance has been abducted by aliens. The rest of the Legends will have to balance trying to find her while preserving the timeline. In Blue Valley Nebraska a new JSA will have to hone in their new super skills and come together as a team. There are many super stories coming our way from the DC television universe in 2021. Please join Silver Vox and Green Butterfly as we discuss our favorite moments and yours from day two of DC Fandome.
With The Flash season 6 having come to an early end, given the Coronavirus pandemic, viewers will have to wait patiently for the fastest man alive as season 7 will be premiering on The CW in January 2021. Following the 19th episode, which served as the season finale, what's next for Eva McCulloch? What happened to Iris West-Allen at the very end inside the Mirrorverse? How will Barry stop Eva from getting away with her lies with barely any speed left? Those are just a handful of questions that will be answered next year. The Flash Podcast recently had the honor of chatting with the show's new showrunner Eric Wallace in a post-mortem interview following the big finale this week. Throughout our chat with Wallace, the EP talks about how they'll deal with the three unproduced episodes from this season when production eventually does resume this year. He also discusses what he hopes to do with the seventh season as season 6 got to experiment with new storytelling methods compared to past seasons. In addition to that, Wallace offers some exciting teases for new DC characters in season 7, what's going on with Godspeed and Reverse-Flash as well as how Iris and her marriage with Barry will grow and strengthen after her journey in the Mirrorverse. That and so much more – major thanks to Mr. Wallace and WBTV for the opportunity! The moment we all have been waiting for, Barry Allen finally realizes his wife Iris West-Allen is not the woman he married!!! Caitlin is down for the count sick with some new type of frost aliments we have yet to have seen. Eva's master plan is finally coming together and we get an epic battle face off between Barry and Mirror Iris. We still haven't quite rescued Iris from the mirror world and Barry just keeps loosing his speed. Will he loose it completely? We end tonights episode on an emotional loss. Join us this week as we cover the CW crossover event, Crisis on Infinite Earths. We joined in on the crossover fun by teaming up with Sticky Keys and Philip of the Beacon Hills After Dark and Fandom Bite podcasts. The Crisis on Infinite Earths sparked absolute chaos on infinite (technically three) podcasts and we loved every second of it!As always, we started off with the sh*t we liked and sh*t we didn’t like this week. Our panel had a LOT to say about the royal situation with Meghan and Harry, so we combined it into a “mega” topic and let the opinions fly.Next, we get into our topic of the week - Crisis on Infinite Earths. We start with our overall thoughts about the crossover, which we all agreed was a really fun time. Legends of Tomorrow continues to stand out as the strongest of the shows because of the campy writing (and Beebo). As always, there was some sh*t we didn’t like. We are TIRED of the writers not giving Iris West-Allen more to do on the crossover and cannot believe that Barry did not go running home to his wife once he realized he was on a new Earth. We would have also liked to see more of the Legends get in on the fun, regardless of what promises Sara made to them about crossovers. We demand justice for Brandon Routh in Superman Returns! Although the film left much to be desired, there is no doubt that Routh is an amazing Superman and we were happy to see him in the iconic suit again in the crossover. Lex Luthor ain’t shit, but he was good fun as he complicated things for our heroes trying to save the universe. Of course things take a thirsty turn, as we talk about Hoechlin’s “super wedges” versus Iowa-born, cornfed Routh. We delve into Black Lightning being included in the crossover for the first time and chat about the characters who we wish were part of the action. We get into our favorite cameo appearances, including the delightful surprise appearance by Ezra Miller. Philip and Jocelyn also get into some heated discussions about a few members of the West family. Let there be no mistake, this is a pro Iris and Wally West podcast!Where to find our guest(s): Check out Sticky Keys on Twitter. She is currently doing some great coverage of the TCAs. In this week's episode of The Flash Podcast Season 5.5, Andy and Breeze are once again joined by Mike Cecchini, Editor-in-Chief of Den of Geek, to finish up their 3-part Crisis on Infinite Earths series leading up to the season six premiere of The Flash. In the summer finale of Season 5.5., the gang went live on Mixlr.com/DCTVPodcasts to go through everything that has been confirmed for Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths. From all the confirmed special appearances of past DC TV actors, costume reveals, new Arrowverse casting details and more, the gang goes through it all. In addition to that and giving their speculations and hopes for the crossover, they discuss the news of the new Arrow female team-up spin-off that is in the works with Kat McNamara (Mia Smoak), Katie Cassidy (Laurel Lance) and Juliana Harkavy (Dinah Drake.) That and more on this week's episode of The Flash Podcast - see you next week for Season 6! On this week's episode of The Flash Podcast Season 5.5, Andy, Tatiana, and Breeze are joined by Mike Cecchini, Editor-in-Chief of Den of Geek, to continue their 3-part Crisis on Infinite Earths series leading up to the season six premiere of The Flash. In the second installment, they review the Crisis on Infinite Earths comic book by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez. Throughout the review, the gang breaks down the book from the characters to the overall story. What did they think of the Monitor and the Anti-Monitor as the two central figures of the book? What were their biggest favorite moments in the storyline? With Wolfman wanting to use this story to make comics more friendly to new readers, did the story accomplish that? Last but not least, is this the right time for the Arrowverse to adapt this iconic storyline for this year's crossover? In addition to the review, they breakdown the latest crossover news, including Smallville's Tom Welling and Erica Durance reprising their roles as Clark Kent and Lois Lane! That and more on this week's episode of The Flash Podcast! "This is the story that changed the DC Universe forever. A mysterious being known as the Anti-Monitor has begun a crusade across time to bring about the end of all existence. As alternate earths are systematically destroyed, the Monitor quickly assembles a team of super-heroes from across time and space to battle his counterpart and stop the destruction. DC's greatest heroes including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Aquaman, assemble to stop the menace, but as they watch both the Flash and Supergirl die in battle, they begin to wonder if even all of the heroes in the world can stop this destructive force." Season 6 of The CW drama The Flash is looking to be its biggest year yet, with new foes, new chapters and a massive crossover that takes one of the biggest DC stories to screen. At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, the cast and showrunner of The Flash were present to preview the new season that will arrive in October. The Flash Podcast took part in the press room this year to discuss with the actors and executive producer on what to expect in Season 6. One of the talent that was present was Iris West-Allen herself as Candice Patton chatted with the press about things to look forward to in the new season. Things that Patton talked about included: *Where Iris is at emotionally in the beginning of the season with the loss of Nora West-Allen. *The evolution of Iris' agency in the sixth season. *Whether or not she would like to direct an episode of the series like several actors in the Arrowverse have. *Who Patton would love to interact with more on Team Flash. *Some things Patton has gotten to do on the show before that she would love to do more often. "It was a logistical quagmire because of the amount of stunt work involved. All departments had to be on their games and the producers had to have a ton of faith in us and in particular the stunt department. I hope it showed!" "[This week], they just turned the stunt department loose," Amell said. "It was the shortest script that I've ever read because it had such little stage direction in it. It was basically Beth going to James Bamford and saying, 'This is through line of what happens to Oliver from start to finish. Do what you can in the time that you have. Go.' There's some specific stuff like Stanley gets Oliver with a needle and Oliver's tied up or whatever, but all that choreography, that was something that the stunt department I think really excelled in. We're not going to get nominated for a stunt Emmy, because we don't get nominated for a stunt Emmy. But we should get nominated for a stunt Emmy." https://comicbook.com/2018/11/28/arrow-stephen-amell-praises-stunt-team-slabside-redemption/ DC Releases Extended Arrowverse Elseworlds Trailer (Date: 25 Nov 2018) The extended clip shows Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen waking up under Barry Allen's identity as The Flash with Iris West-Allen unaware of the changes to reality. Podcast: Play in new window | Download Synopsis: After preventing Eobard Thawne from killing Nora Allen, Barry returns with Eobard to the present and imprisons him in a cage that dampens his speed. In the new timeline, which Eobard dubs “Flashpoint“, both of Barry’s parents are alive, Joe has a poor relationship with his kids and chronically in trouble at work, Cisco is a billionaire tech-magnate, and Caitlin is a pediatric ophthalmologist. There is also a new Flash in Central City called Kid Flash struggling with his own nemesis Edward Clariss, known as “The Rival“. Barry begins losing his memories of the original timeline, which Eobard reveals is the result of the new timeline becoming permanent. After discovering Kid Flash is Wally, Barry teams up with Wally and stops Edward, but not before Wally is critically injured. Realizing that the new timeline is worse for those closest to him, Barry releases Eobard and lets him return to the past to kill Nora and reset the timeline. Back in the present, Barry learns that the timeline did not reset exactly, and Joe and Iris have not spoken to each other in years. Edward is confronted by a mysterious voice giving him the message “Alchemy“.
