It's another big everything-changes-forever epic as Mark Waid hits “Terminal Velocity.” The discovery of the Speed Force as the source of superspeed in the DC Universe is transforming Wally West emotionally and physically, and his future with Linda Park is at stake. True love conquers all (sorry for the spoiler), but they won't necessarily live happily ever as they have to pick up the pieces after the fairytale ending. We'll discuss Wally's often-frustrating tendency to keep his loved ones in the dark and debate whether it matters that the villain of the piece is a bit generic. Because comic fans need to rank things, we'll also weigh in on whether “Terminal Velocity” or “The Return of Barry Allen” is the highlight of the run. All this plus Mirror Master and some kind of Lovecraftian monster, too! Discussed in this episode: Flash #0 and 95-105, plus Flash Annual #8 (1996). What is "The Speed of Thought"? A lot faster for Barry after being pumped up by the artificial Speed Force. His mind now thinks faster than anyone, but it may be taking the emotion out of him. Cisco begins to realize this after Barry makes decisions that could put their friends at risk. Eva McCulloch acts like she has everything under control, but when Barry releases footage of her true origin, she begins to lose it. Will they be able to stop her and finally get their friends back? Think fast, because Jay and Josh are back again to figure out every problem on this week's episode of Scarlet Velocity: A Flash Podcast!
Season 7 is finally here! Iris remains trapped in the mirrorverse and is still being manipulated by Eva McCulloch. But the Mirror Mistress is on a rampage in the real world too as she sets out for revenge against her husband and Black Hole. Is the Top actually helping her? Plus, Barry's speed is almost gone. Can Chester, Allegra, and Nash Wells help him finish the artificial speed force or will it take too much of a sacrifice? Jay and Josh return, but is it really them or a mirror duplicate on this week's episode of Scarlet Velocity: A Flash Podcast!
The moment we have been waiting for is almost here. We recap The Flash Season 6 in preparation of what is to come. And we share the latest news in casting and Flash Comics. But what will we be seeing in this much-delayed story? How will Barry get his speed back? Will Iris escape the mirror world anytime soon? Who is the big bad this time? Jay and Josh mask-up and save the day from a distance on the final Scarlet Velocity Summer Special.
The Flash returns to the CW in February. But while we wait we continue to delve into the comics. This time we focus on the recent, tragic history of Wally West. After finally being rescued from the Speed Force, Wally tries to rebuild his life without his family. That proves to be as difficult as you'd expect. We look at the miniseries Heroes in Crisis to see how he copes, which turns out to be not that well. Plus, we see how he begins to redeem himself and become one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse in the recent series Flash Forward. Jay and Josh take turns sitting on the Mobius Chair on the fourth Scarlet Velocity Summer Special of 2020.
Today we talk about the Mirror Masters, including the original Mirror Master Sam Scudder, Digger Harkness who pretended to be Mirror Master very briefly, Evan McCulloch who was the second official Mirror Master, and Evan's daughter who briefly went by Mirror Mistress but also Prismatik. Media specifically mentioned in today's episode: -The Flash (1959) #105 -DC Halloween Special 2009 -Crisis on Infinite Earths reading order -Suicide Squad (1987) -Flash (2011) (New 52) -Animal Man (1988) -Underworld Unleashed reading order -Last Days of Animal Man (2009) (Prismatik content) -Salvation Run -Flash: The Fastest Man Alive (2006) Full Throttle -Rorschach (2020) #1 -Dark Knights: Death Metal (2020) -Every Green Lantern confirmed for HBO show -Kamala Khan casting; Iman Vellani -Doctor Strange 2 casting; Xochitl Gomez Thanks to Victoria Watkins for our icon! We are finally getting more news about the upcoming season of the Flash. We will share some of what we learned from DC Fandome and stories that are being revealed about the cast, the plot, and changes we will see. And we review the Blu-Ray release of season 6 to see what kind of features it includes (and what was taken out). Plus, we continue to look at the history of Wally West in comics. How did he die? When did he return? And what may happen in the future? Jay and Josh spin the discs and look for missing tracks on the third Scarlet Velocity Summer Special of 2020.

The pandemic has cut this season of The Flash short which is a shame because this was a really good season. And all things considered, this finale made the best of the situation and put together a pretty solid finale that ends with the villain winning and some really interesting prospects for the next season. Eva as Mirror Master is going to give Barry and Team Flash all kinds of problems. Add in her own team of dangerous female villains and we don't see an easy way out of this one for the team Gotta love how they let Danielle Panabaker be a part of this entire season through her pregnancy. Other shows have written off their female characters when an actress gets pregnant but Danielle not only directed an episode but also had her character appear in more episodes than Carlos Valdes or Jesse L Martin We end the season with Barry still not having his powers at 100%. We have clues as to how he gets them back but this puts us in a really interesting position to start season 7 There's still a lot of open threads that will be fun to explore: Barry's Powers What Eva really wants How do Iris, Kamilla and Singh escape the mirrorverse and what happened to Iris at the end? What is Bloodwork's long game? Kudos to the show for making us give a shit about Bloodwork What's going on with Godspeed? When is Thawne going to return to fuck up Barry's life even more? An early season finale means that "Success is Assured" ...for the villain! Without the Speed Force, the team is not sure what to do to get Iris out of the Mirror World. Then Ralph remember the diamond he got from Sue, which leads them to a warehouse that could give them what they need to stop Carver once and for all. But Eva's mirror Singh burns it down before they get what they need. Now they know they'll have to protect Carver before Eva gets her vengeance. Now that the warehouse is burned down, Sue infiltrates Carver's organization to take him out. Ralph tries to convince her it's not worth it, but they may be too late anyway when Sunshine, Ultraviolet, and Dr. Light show up to help Eva. The team fights valiantly to save the arrogant man, but Eva is powerful. Can they stop her and save Iris too? Looks like we'll have to wait all year long to find out. Jay and Josh go multi-screen on the season six finale of Scarlet Velocity: A Flash Podcast!

The Flash is back and there's two words we have for this new Post Crisis World: Female Rogues. Yes Bring them on. Took us a minute to realize where they were going but as soon as we saw the name 'Eva McCulloch' we knew "Mirror Master". We're really about to get the rogues finally on The Flash and they're gonna be all women: Weather Witch Mirror Master Golden Glider Top Black Smith and throw in Doctor Light and we got a pretty good Rogues squad. And we're here for it. But not only that. The Flash has really been pulling from the latest Rebirth run from the comics. First there was Godspeed. Then Bloodwork. And now the secret organization that's been operating in the shadows is revealed as Blackhole. Add in a throwaway mention of Gorilla City and now we have to remind everyone that the true leader of Blackhole in the comics was none other than Joe West's favorite murderous gorilla: Gorilla Grodd. Cause us intrigued as to where the show goes with this. There's a lot to love this episode with the first Flash episode since Crisis. We've essentially been given a redo where now everything is back on the table and we can't wait to see what they have for us coming up. Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month. On today’s show, we talk with indie-rock outfit Young the Giant about their acclaimed new album, Mirror Master. Also, because it’s our very own Big Cat’s birthday, we hear from listeners for a very special “Ask Eddie” segment. Plus, a look at Valentine’s Day spending, Annie brings us a true crime story like none you’ve ever heard and a lot more!
Kyle Meredith sits down with Young the Giant frontman Sameer Gadhia to discuss their new record, Mirror Master. Gadhia not only talks about the loneliness and complexity of the selfie era, but also the "romanticism of the universe" and the quest to understand the world around us through interests like quantum physics. The singer discusses subverting the norms of today's music with honesty that "naturally weeds out" overproduced rock and how the genre needs a fire lit under it to make real change for the better. Barry Allen and Wally West continue their groundbreaking adventures as they travel through time and battle epic villains like Captain Boomerang for the first time and a team up with the Green Lantern.Affiliate link included.Transcript:Graham: The Flash is tied to a giant boomerang, twice and Kid Flash travels back to pre-historic times, twice. We'll talk about it, straight ahead in The Flash: The Silver Age Volume 2.Announcer:Welcome to the Classy Comics podcast where we search for the best comics in the universe. From Boise Idaho, here is your host Adam Graham.Graham:As I discussed in a previous episode after many of the great superhero franchises of the Golden Age flamed out in the late 40s and early 50s, Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman remain the really only consistent games in town when it came to superheroes. However, that changed when D.C. introduced Barry Allen as the Flash in Showcase number 4. The Flash was successful and with the Scarlet Speedster's success, many more superheroes would be added to the roster of the D.C. Universe. To understand what made the Flash successful, it's important to understand what the Flash didn't have. There wasn't great characterization or much characterization at all. That would be something really that Marvel would bring to superheroes with the emergence of the Fantastic Four and Spider-Man later on in the 1960s. What the Flash brought was mind-blowing imagination, when it came to the use of the Flash's super speed as well as the rogues he fought. In fact, the colorful rogues of the Flash, Captain Cold, Mirror Master, Weather Wizard and the Prankster, remain popular to this day and they were really cranked out in the early years of the Flash's comeback. The Flash: The Silver Age Volume 2, comes after the Flash's initial three trial appearances and his first thirteen issues have introduced so much but there's even more that gets introduced in this volume and we're going to discuss it. This particular volume collects issues 117 to 132. I won't try and cover everything in this book. It's a 400-page book plus, unlike say a modern comic where you have plots that take place over multiple issues, these are all self-contained or in many cases, they are two stories in a single issue so I won't try and cover everything. I will say that these are pretty lengthy issues when you take a look at them. Generally you're looking at about 23 to 25 pages, which is a good length for the early Silver Age books. They get a lot shorter during the Bronze Age. The first big milestone comes in issue 117 of the Flash, the first issue collected in this book and it introduces Captain Boomerang. The story begins when a corporate honcho has the idea that his company could make a really big trend out of selling boomerangs, as yo-yos had recently been a big deal and they need to hire someone who is experienced throwing the boomerang. And so our villain is hired and uses the name Captain Boomerang. That's part of the plan and instead of taking this cushy corporate job, it'll be like being the Marlboro Man. With plenty money coming his way, he instead turns to a life of crime using incredibly clever boomerangs in order to commit his crimes.Flash actually thinks he's spotted Captain Boomerang at the scene of a crime but Captain Boomerang convinces him that he's innocent and that it would do harm to his elderly parents, who aren't his parents but two actors playing them and gets the Flash to go away but realizes he has to get rid of the Flash and how is he going to do that? He's going to tie him to a rocket-powered boomerang. Now when I asked my wife about this, she pointed out shouldn't a boomerang return back to where it was thrown and that's a good question. However, this time the Flash to a boomerang solution is actually used by ...

The narrative begins to gather steam in issues #17 and #18 - although there's some tricky time signature distortion at work that may leave the reader just as discombobulated as our beleaguered protagonist(s). James Highwater experiences a highway epiphany, Buddy's ethical quandaries metastasize (on live TV), and Mirror Master delivers an advanced class in illusionist techniques + Glaswegian smack talk. Then it's time to ingest peyote. Elise delves into some extracurricular reading she's been doing, and there's another letter from Xavi! In this episode of We RRR Legends, the unofficial Podcast to DC Legends Mobile, we discuss all the news, PvP Star System changes, a welcome to the new community manager WB_Stanner, announcement on the two new character reworks, and in depth analysis on Mirror Master and Killer Frost, as well as the next Tier of Hatemael's PVP rankings. Mirror Master Legendary Order: 4,5,1,2/3 Killer Frost Legendary Order: 4,4,2,1,3 Characters you want to get around to eventually: Not bad characters, but only work in certain specific situations and are more “fun” than highly effective. Star Sapphire: has a very strong basic, and her AOE can still sometimes proc a lot. Her only knock is being somewhat squishy and is quite slow. Medphyll: Neat character still and has some good synergies with other characters. Captain Cold: I was tempted to put him one place lower, but he is probably the weakest of this group. He is still quite good, does good damage and has a lot of utility. Flash: Can still be a good character, esp if his attacks get going. His evil counterpart is just so much better. He needs just a little more to be a great character. Enchantress: She is a pretty good character. Synergises well with other healers and Bane. She is an MVP for me in Red Alerts. Firestorm: Hits hard when buffed up. Eventually I want to do a team with MJ, Dr Fate, and LW. I could see that being very strong. Poison Ivy: She seems much improved at g11. Might deserve higher but her AI is dumb and I haven't played her yet. Hippolyta: I've faced her only once since g11 dropped but I was impressed with her tankiness, so put her in this tier only for that reason. Raven: She just can’t take a hit. Her buff removal to evasions is good, but her leadership is lacking compared to other leaders. She is also VERY slow. Aquamoa: He’s not a bad character, but he requires a lot of things to be great. He can slaughter a typical green though. Penguin: Fun character, and VERY tanky. He pairs well with turn meter manipulation teams, I plan to test a few comps in that realm. His extraordinarily weak hits though keep him lower on the list. Did you like the show? In this episode of We RRR Legends, the unofficial Podcast to DC Legends Mobile, we discuss all the news, including the huge PvP changes, deep dive into Nightwing & The Joker: Damaged Goods, and do the next segment into our PvP tier rankings! Nightwing Legendary order: Outside leader: 3,1,4,2,5 If leader: 3,1,4,5,2. If leader best with characters that start invisible or can be inviso quickly like HGDS, Catwoman, Batman CC, Mirror Master, CAGA. Ideal at L3. Joker, Clown Prince: Legendary order: 2,1,5,3 or 4. Ideal at L3. Better than I expected. Great team I have been running that will be in the video is Steppy lead or RH is against DS, Mj, Joker, and Ares. Other fun possible teams would be YL Sinestro, MJ, Joker, and Ares. He can hit hard. Siren with her 5th ability with enrage, if I ever take her to L5 I could see that being really strong. PvP Tier Listing: Probably can wait: These are the characters that have a place, but usually need a comp designed around their skill set. They don't usually fit into just any team. - Hawkgirl: She isn’t bad at g11. Her stuns are pretty nice and she can work well on an assist team. She needs a team built around her to shine though, so is one you can wait on. - Bizarro: Fantastic against bleed characters. That niche he fills super well. His stun is nice too, but other than that, he brings nothing else to the team. - Doomsday: Decent character in this slower meta, but I feel he really needs a team built around him to be decent, and even then, he isn’t that great, but still a fun character. - Joker, the clown prince: He is actually not bad, though I know a lot of people (like Fanatic Jalapeno) hates him now. If you build an enrage team around him, he is ok, but under performs all the other times. - Batman WGD: Not a bad character and the buff removal is nice. He does ok damage as well. I know some people will not be happy seeing him this far down the list, but he brings some utility, but so many other characters do it better. - Lex Luthor, Survival Support Suit: I’ve seen a few teams where he works fairly well. He also is a Deathstroke counter so recently saw some play. With Red Hood out, he really doesn’t serve a lot of purpose. - Survival Suit Lex: Not terrible and his buff removal is good. He is close to the bottom for just horrid damage though. - Nightwing: he is ok, and his double assist is nice. He isn't great, but works on some teams. His damage is a bit on the too low side. - Supergirl: Surprised I put her this low, but she just isn’t a great character right now. One you can def wait on, maybe as things change she will be higher again. I hope so since she is my only L5! - Robin: He isn’t the worst character, but I hate the way he looks. On top of that, he doesn’t really do a whole lot for team. My bias could be showing here a little… 3 Star PVP Announcement: https://community.wbgames.com/t5/Official-Announcements/Get-Ready-for-3-star-PvP/m-p/1757196#M442 Did you like the show? Welcome to the DC TV Report for the week ending Saturday April 29th, 2017 as submitted by Edward O'Hare, nickname To Be Determined. All the superhero based shows returned from hiatus and we were jam-packed with 5 new episodes this week. Gotham: Ed killed some intellectuals, took hallucinogens to see visions of a dead Oswald, and tried to draw out Jim to be his “enemy.” Lucius Fox answered the call instead, stopped Ed from killing Bullock and a bunch of cadets, and figured out Ed killed Oswald. Ed declared himself “The Riddler” and stopped taking pills but it turns out Oswald was saved from the river by Ivy and is ready for payback. Jim met with his Uncle Frank who wants him to join the Court of Owls and help take them down. Is he lying? Bruce got a note from Selina, went to her, got blown off and discovered it was all a trick by Evil Bruce, who knocked out real Bruce and took his place. Last Minute Reveal: Bruce woke up in a cell, looked out the window, and saw nothing but snow-covered mountains! Supergirl: Lena Luthor's ex-boyfriend Jack Spheero announced to the world he had developed miracle medical nanobots. Kara and Snapper competed to get scoops that the nanobots might not be legit and both of their sources were assassinated… by NANOBOTS! Turns out Spheero was actually being controlled by his CFO Beth Breen (never trust the money people). When the nanobots had Supergirl cornered, Lena was able to override them but Spheero did not survive. Breen went to jail, Lena was devastated, and Snapper gave Kara her job back. Meanwhile, Winn convinced James to let Lyra help the Guardian fight street thugs. When Lyra took it too far, she and Winn had a spat but James said she can stick around as long as she tones it down. Last Minute Reveal: Lena Luthor got a visit from Rhea! The Flash: Caitlin went full Killer Frost and escaped S.T.A.R. Labs. Barry decided to run to the year 2024 to learn how to defeat Savitar. When he got there he found that his future self couldn't save Iris, became so obsessed with Savitar that he abandoned all his friends and became an emo recluse. Wally was catatonic, Joe was a broken man, Julian imprisoned a crazy Caitlin, HR went on a book tour, and Cisco lost his hands and his vibe powers. Barry got the band back together, took on Mirror Master and the Top, and inspired emo-Barry to re-don the suit. Future Barry couldn't give Present Barry Savitar's identity or hope to save Iris but did give him a lead on a physicist who could help. Last Minute Reveal: Caitlin found Savitar, who offered her help accepting her villainy and revealed his true identity! iZombie: Liv slopped up a spicy soup full of brains from Cheryl, a woman who loved gossip and sticking her nose in her co-workers' business. Clive, Liv and Ravi discovered three co-workers worked together to set off a fire alarm and spike Cheryl's yogurt, but didn't intend to kill her. Major was able to track down his missing victim, Natalie, who was being held hostage by a rich guy and offered her Ravi's cure. Natalie wasn't sure if it was worth the amnesia. Peyton looked after Blaine while he waited to see if Ravi's injection brought his memories back. When it did not work, Peyton felt sad for Liv and Major but good enough to bring Blaine into her bedroom. Last Minute Reveal: Clive and Liv approached a gun range owner who posted on the zombie-hater message boards and learned he lost his brother in the Max Rager incident and he knows zombies are responsible! Arrow: Oliver had to deal with the press after the public revelation that DA Adrian Chase was Prometheus. Felicity told Lyla that Helix could help track Chase if ARGUS released a Helix hacker named Cayden James. When Lyla said no, Felicity went rogue and helped Helix break James out of an ARGUS black site. Diggle became upset Lyla was running a black site and became worried how Lyla's job is changing her. Quentin brought Rene's daughter to visit him and convinced Rene to fight for custody. Helix decided to cut ties with Felicity but did leave behind a tracking code to help her find Chase. Felicity made up with Oliver and plugged in the code. Last Minute Reveal: The code traced Chase's location to Arrow HQ and Felicity's computer exploded in front of her and Oliver! In Memoriam Powerless: One more thing before I go. We got some sad news about Powerless. Variety reported this week that “NBC has pulled the DC Entertainment comedy from the network's schedule and has not yet determined where or when the final three episodes of the season will air.” While this news is disappointing I cannot say it is surprising. Powerless had much promise. The cast was impressive and Alan Tudyk was a standout, but the writing was rough. It never seemed like they could strike the correct balance between workplace comedy and superhero world-building. Each episode was better than the previous one and the show was heading in the right direction but unfortunately the ratings were just too low. I wish we could see those last three episodes, especially the finale with Adam West. Most likely they'll be burned off in the summer or we will see them when the show is released streaming or on DVD and Blu-Ray.

It's been a little quiet in Central City lately. "The New Rogues" should be able to take care of that. Sam Scudder and Rosalind Dillon were hit by the particle accelerator 3 years ago. Dillon can spin your head round, baby, right round, but still landed in jail. But when Scudder reappears with the ability to travel through mirrors, he breaks her free and Mirror Master and The Top are born. When Flash and Jesse Quick try to catch them, Flash gets trapped inside a mirror. Now he can reflect on his ever-complicated relationship with Iris. Jay and Josh go window shopping for a new Harrison Wells on this week's episode of Scarlet Velocity: A Flash Podcast!
[sc:ccutop] The New Rogues CCU 73 Season 3 Episode 4 THE NEW ROGUES Season 3 continues to deliver solid entertainment! Here are some thoughts from Joe - Wells, Wells, Wells! (See what I did there?) Admit it...you REALLY wanted to see Wild West Harrison aka Hells Wells on the team, even for just a single episode. The show could use a dose of the rip-roarin'! If you'd told me that in this episode, the introduction of Mirror Master would be the thing that excited me the second most, I'd have laughed in your face. Mirror Master, for goodness sake! The Rogue I've most been waiting for since the show began! Read more... Podcast: Play in new window | Download Synopsis: Three years ago, Sam Scudder and Rosalind Dillon, former cohorts of Leonard Snart, were caught in the original particle accelerator explosion. In the present, Barry begins training Jesse on how to use her powers. Wells suggests the team locate a doppleganger of his from another Earth to replace him on the team once he and Jesse leave. Scudder returns from being trapped in a mirror-like dimension with the ability to transport himself and others through reflective surfaces. He reunites with Rosalind, who now has vertigo-inducing powers, and the couple go on a crime spree. Barry and Jesse, as “Jesse Quick”, confront them, but are defeated and Barry ends up trapped inside a mirror by Scudder. Caitlin secretly uses her emerging ice powers to help Barry free himself from his predicament. He and Jesse then successfully capture Scudder and Rosalind. After evaluating the candidates, the team recruits the friendly and eccentric Wells of Earth-19, despite the Earth-2 Wells’ misgivings. Jesse and her father then return to Earth-2, with Wells apprising Cisco about Barry’s suspicious escape. That night, Caitlin accidentally freezes the water in her shower and her appearance begins showing signs of her Earth-2 doppleganger. Help out the show! Last week on The Flash, fans learned that John Diggle, friend and former bodyguard to Oliver Queen, has a son -- and that was a surprise. That's right: Barry Allen's excellent "Flashpoint" adventure through time created the unintended consequence of giving John Diggle a son -- John Diggle, Jr. -- rather than the daughter -- Sara Diggle -- fans got to know after she was born in season 3 of the hit CW drama. Deadshot - Deadshot, a member of the Suicide Squad and the deadly assassin long thought to have murdered John Diggle's brother, showed up in a vision to Dig this week, haunting him for killing Andy himself last season. Susan Williams - Susan Williams is, in the comics, the sister-in-law of Hal Jordan, one of Earth's Green Lanterns. Created by John Broome and Gil Kane in the early days of the Silver Age Green Lantern titles, Susan was a bit of a rabble-rouser then, too; she ended up in a relationship with one of the Jordan brothers while digging around into who Green Lantern was. Falling into a vat of chemicals is similar to the origin of the Joker Adrian Chase - Adrian Chase is introduced this week. The hot-headed, good-looking district attorney is actually better known as Vigilante in the comics.Created during Marv Wolfman's time on the New Teen Titans, Vigilante in the comics is a former New York district attorney who's set on the path of justice after his family is killed by the mob. The CW describes him similarly: Chase is "Star City's new district attorney and an ally of Mayor Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), who aims to clean up the streets through the legal system." “You have failed this city” make an appearance - like season 1 Lethal Weapon - Stardust burns his arm Terry Sloane - This week, we finally got to see Curtis suit up, going into the field in his Mister Terrific costume for the first time. He hasn't yet identified himself using the "Mister Terrific" name, although he did namecheck Terry Sloane -- the Golden Age Mr. Terrific from the comics -- as his inspiration (and the inspiration for the "Fair Play" jacket he wears). Trope of cool guy walking toward camera with explosion in background Oliver thinking Wild Dog's hockey mask is “cool” is likely a reference to Amell's role of Casey Jones in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.' Curtis calls it the “Arrowcave” ARROW NEWS: Arrowverse Crossover is ‘very, very faithful' to DC's Invasion! (Date: 14 Oct 2016) Marc Guggenheim promises that the crossover will be faithful to the story in the comics. In the comics, the Dominators assemble a coalition of extraterrestrial races to invade Earth, with the goal of eliminating the threat posed by metahumans. Unknown to their allies, the Dominators intend to harness the metagene and create their own army of metahumans. Guggenheim says that the crossover will be “just big, bombastic, huge action.” Link:http://www.cbr.com/arrowverse-crossover-is-very-very-faithful-to-dcs-invasion/ Who are the Dominators? Also, Cold will be part of the Legion of Doom. The 100th episode of ‘Arrow' promises to be big with appearances by John Barrowman as Merlin and Neal McDonough as Damian Darhk; the 100th episode will also be part of the big crossover, but Guggenheim says that the 100th will be ‘Arrow'-centric. The Top, played by Ashley Rickards, will also be appearing, alongside the very familiar, very missed face of Captain Cold. When Mirror Master and The Top go looking for Cold, they'll run into a little trouble with The Flash and his new speedster-in-training, Jesse Quick. Link:http://www.cbr.com/mirror-master-debuts-in-new-flash-promo/ Chris How Supergirl gets into the Crossover (Date: 20 Oct 2016) The 100th episode will, in fact, be part 3 of that crossover, and executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently spoke to Collider on how Supergirl is fitting in with the Arrowverse. "Last year, Supergirl established that The Flash was able to make his way to what I call Earth-CBS, and it stands to reason that with the proper breach technology, the reverse can happen. Once the heroes realize that they're up against aliens, they decide that they need an alien on their side and, fortunately, Barry knows a really nice one. I don't think it's a big shock that, between Barry and Cisco, and all of their experiences with Earth-2 and the multi-verse, that they can pluck her from Earth-CBS." (Date: 20 Oct 2016) Hamill was spotted on the set of The Flashl ooking decidedly Joker-esque. Considering that Flash is currently exploring an alternate timeline in its "Flashpoint" season, it's possible this is a Joker inspired alternate version of the Trickster. Or maybe, just maybe, many fans will get their wish and finally see Hamill take the role of the Clown Prince of Crime into live action. Fight/stunt 3 Battle in the oculus chamber. Lots of firing, heat gun, cold gun etc. Time travel: Thoughts on the tropes and mechanics Nice flashback to start, back to the recruiting scene in 2016 Great to see the team back before all the messing with the timeline Jax - “Something called time travel - the team's in trouble”. Very Bill and Ted showing up in his own past once he's left the room. (Marty! It's your kids!) This timetravel model, there is no free will - only free will at the vanishing point Nothing you can do to change time? Part 2: The Characters Rip Hunter Rate on a scale of 1 (Capt. of the Titanic - Edward John Smith) to 10 (the best - Picard) Freaking out with “NO ONE CONTROLS ME” which breaks him. “You lot guard the entrance”. I'm sorry, but is “you lot” the official way to address the crew. Well, it's either that or walk the plank Argggg! Shrinks Ray to carry him. Vandal Savage “An appointment I have… with Destiny” kinda sounds like an exotic dancer Execution of Rip's family - still murders Miranda and Jonas Time Masters The Reveal of the oculus and the reveal of the master manipulation of the entire crew Ordered Savage to kill Rip's family to motivate him. Super dick move. Guy doing the induction process kinda enjoys it. Love the time ships preparing to jump in the hangar, like the rebel fleet about to attack the death star or the Mass Effect Pelicans getting ready for a combat drop or the Space Marines about to assault the Alien Queen with Ripley The Atom - Ray Palmer Still cares for Kendra - freaked out when she was shot by the prison guards. Continues the theme of believing in the face of adversity Interesting bonding with Mick & how he survived not being turned into Chronos “All I wanted to do was make a difference.” Keeps working even though that's how he dies. White Canary - Sara Lance And she's a badass pilot. “Punch it Gideon” “Want to steal a kiss from me… you better be one hell of a thief”. Dammit, I really wanted these two to get together. - then the final kiss just kills me. Hawkgirl - Kendra Saunders Kinda loses it when she realizes Savage is going to kill Rip's family. That was the whole point of the mission… well, that and saving the earth from Savage's destruction and reign. They arguably failed at all of that and made it worse. No barista reference. Hawkman - Carter Hall In stasis - not in this episode Captain Cold - Leonard Snart I freakin' love Snart in the past Dammit - I want an entire show of just Sara and Snart “There are no strings on me” Frickin beautiful line. He was a hero. Heatwave - Mick Rory Soliloquy when faced with becoming Chronos again - “I focused on vengeance. I focused on how much I hated all of you” “Oh yeah, that's good… break my arms” - Mick has the best lines “For a time master, you sure waste a lot of it” Executes the a**-hole time master “Get me out of this stupid robot suit” “If you tell the team I actually care, I'll shave your head” - focused on the team Firestorm - Professor Martin Stein Arrogant interaction with Jax in the past Nice speech to Jax about something having gone right on the mission re: Jefferson maturing and he being less of an asshat. Firestorm - Jefferson Jackson “It's the best decision I never made.” re: being roofied and going on the mission. Waverider/Gideon Calls on the ye olde fashioned phone - uploaded into the latency core. Love the firing effects on the vanishing point EPISODE DC EASTER EGGS: Season 1 Episode 15 “Destiny” (Date: 12 May 2016) Article:http://comicbook.com/dc/2016/05/13/legends-of-tomorrow-things-you-might-have-missed-in-destiny/ Thanagar: Legends of Tomorrow made Thanagarians - DC's alien hawkman species and home to Nth Metal with strong ties to Hawkgirl and Hawkman, this just became cannon for the DC TV Universe. Lots of comic references and lore, and on the cartoon Justice League Unlimited Smugglers Hatch: Pretty obvious reference to Star Wars and the Millennium Falcon Time Sphere: When Jax heads back to 2016, we get a look at he and Martin working on the Time Sphere that was broken in the season finale of The Flash last year. In the comics, the Time Sphere (also sometimes called a Time Bubble) was the primary means of time-travel used by Rip Hunter, Time Master...as well as Booster Gold, The Legion of Super-Heroes, and other characters. “I'll shave your head”: The threat Mick uses against Ray -- that he'll "shave your head" -- is presumably a nod to the fact that all season long, he's referred to Ray as "haircut.". “No strings on me”: Iconic Pinocchio line, used by Ultron in the second avengers movie Tabula Rasa: While "Tabula rasa" has a broader cultural meaning outside of DC Comics, meaning "blank slate," as explained by Ray… it's worth noting that there are two major DC Comics uses of the phrase: one is a Batman story in which he is forced to work with Bane -- and the other is an organization in the Wildstorm universe whose actual name is Tabula Rasa. Leviathan CGI was interesting, not great, not crappy Compressed light blasts - aww yeah Bad-ass punch to the head Kendra v Savage Really liked the mace effect Kendra laid into Savage and Carter with a bad ass spiked mace - no blood Legends and Cassandra Savage v. Shock Troops Casandra with the throwing knife in the back … But why did they stand around when they had Savage at the start Time Travel: Share your thoughts He knows where his family is even though they were at Whitechapel - can't get his family to safety. OK, so no matter what he does Savage's forces keep killing his family - time wants his family to die, yet he's still trying to change it. Rip Hunter Running into the final battle at the rally with no real plan - yet another example of not great captaining A bit of a dick not wanting the refugees on board Gideon He basically gives up when the Waverider is damaged. Vandal Savage Great speech at the start Vandal Savage's Daughter - Cassandra Savage Decent training montage with a katana She didn't know that the Armageddon virus was unleashed by Savage, and that Savage created Per Degaton… and there came the inevitable reveal Joins the rebels at the end. The Atom - Ray Palmer “It worked, I'm not dead… yet” Giant Sized ATOM Looks crushed when Kendra says “we need to talk” White Canary - Sara Lance Aside from decent staff fighting, not a lot Kinda weird that she brought up the whole soulmate thing with Kendra, but she's her friend, so I guess it was in character Hawkgirl - Kendra Saunders Golden mace is pretty cannon - Nth metal Hawkman - Carter Hall Spike mace training scene, he wasn't actually a bit of a douche Captain Cold - Leonard Snart Solid throughout the episode, esp. In his interactions with Cassandra Backstory with his dad who was a monster is a lot of callback to the Flash Episode with Golden Glider as well. Heatwave - Mick Rory “It works with my outfit” It's great when Mic is actually into the role - his looks while interrogating the daughter was kinda awesome. Firestorm - Professor Martin Stein Cared about the refugees, but didn't have a lot to do - was injured for the climactic fight. Firestorm - Jefferson Jackson Ray's cheering section - not a lot of direct action since Stein was out of commission. Waverider/Gideon EPISODE DC EASTER EGGS: Season 1 Episode 13 “Leviathan” (Date: 29 Apr 2016) Article:http://comicbook.com/dc/2016/04/29/dcs-legends-of-tomorrow---x-things-you-might-have-missed-in-levi/ Leviathan: There have been two Leviathans in DC Comics. The first Leviathan was Gim Allor, a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes. The most recent Leviathan wasn't a person at all, but an offshoot of the League of Assassins. Talia al Ghul created Leviathan to oppose Batman Inc. Growing Atom: Savage's Leviathan is clearly a giant version of Ray's ATOM suit The Rebel Leader: Sharon Taylor, who played the unnamed Rebel Leader on tonight's episode, was in Smallville, she played Zod's lieutenant Faora Cassandra Savage: Cassandra Savage is actually based on a different DC character... Kassandra Sage is one of Vandal Savage's daughters in the New 52. After the police arrested Savage for a string of sacrificial murders, Kass grew up to become a profiler for the FBI, specializing in serial killers. After not speaking to Savage for years, Kass used her father to help solve a string of copycat murders committed by the son of the man who arrested Savage. Of course, most fans were hoping that Cassandra would wind up being Scandal Savage, a member of the Secret Six, a group of anti-hero mercenaries. Extra - thumping class of scotch looked like Jurassic Park. Extra - did anyone think of Capt. America Civil war when ATOM grew - like Ant-man growing into Giant-man ARROW NEWS: Wendy Mericle talks Prometheus, no magic, and Flashpoint (Date: 24 Aug 2016) * “for Season 5 … we did want to go back to our roots and figure out what is specific to this show. He has a very personal grudge and axe to grind with Oliver and he's going to come at him in a really interesting, sociopathic kind of way." * "Flashpoint provides an interesting jumping off point for all the shows this year, in that we have this reset button available to us if we want it," Link:http://comicbook.com/2016/08/24/arrow-season-5-more-details-on-prometheus-and-flashpoint-effect/ Background on the comic book Prometheus * https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prometheus_(comics) * Three villains have used the name, but the “second” Prometheus is the main one. * No powers, but can download files on any hero and upload fighting styles * Sometimes set up as the Anti-Batman * Ties in to Green Arrow mythology through the very controversial Justice League: Cry for Justice, miniseries (2009) where [Spoiler alert] his actions result in (i) the death of Roy Harper's daughter, (ii) Roy losing an arm, and ultimately (iii) Ollie murdering Prometheus in cold blood in revenge. "We love working with Teddy. He's such an amazing actor and amazing person, and was so much a part of the success of this show last season. On the ninth episode of Season 2.5 of The Flash Podcast's summer season, Andy Behbakht is joined by David Jones, the amazing graphics and video artist of the DC TV Podcasts Network, as they get together to do another character review which this week is all about John Wesley Shipp's Henry Allen, father of Barry Allen as well as Shipp's new role: the real Jay Garrick! Throughout the discussion, the duo talks about Henry's journey in the second season as he got released out of prison after Eobard Thawne's final act before he vanished in the Season 1 finale. They also discuss his Earth-3 counterpart as it was revealed that on Earth-3, he is a speedster by the name of Jay Garrick! They also discuss what they want to see happen for Jay in Season 3 and in DC TV in general, especially with the Justice Society that is appearing on Legends of Tomorrow in Season 2. In the news section, they discuss the big casting announcement of Friday Night Lights' Grey Damon who is bringing Sam Scudder a.k.a. EPISODE DC EASTER EGGS: Season 1 Episode 11 “The Magnificent Eight” (Date: 15 Apr 2016) Article:http://comicbook.com/dc/2016/04/14/legends-of-tomorrow-things-you-may-have-missed-in-the-magnificen/ Magnificent 7 reference: We talked about the movies and source material earlier Salvation, Texas: Salvation, Texas, was the name of a town featured in a 2006 Jonah Hex story. In that tale, the town wasn't run by criminals, but by a particularly controlling sect of nuns. Kuberts Barbershop sign: One of the storefronts in Salvation features a pretty familiar name to DC Comics fans: Kubert. In this instance, it's likely a nod to Joe Kubert, whose work on Jonah Hex comics helped to craft the look of the character's early years. Kubert, of course, also worked on a lot of classic Hawkman stories, meaning that his influence has been felt quite a bit on Legends. Jonah Hex: While Hex's origin is that of a post-Civil War bounty hunter, he's had some time-travel adventures himself. In the DC Comics Universe, when he found himself flung to the far future after the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths. G. Wells: The child Stein saves in the episode is actually a young H.G. Wells, whose The Time Machine is widely regarded as one of the earliest and best novels on the topic of time-travel. ---- But we all know Warehouse 13 told the TRUE story of H.G. Well. (Shannon, that's for you!) John Wayne reference: Ray comes up with another great alias... Turnbull: Turnbull, the man who's responsible for the sacking of Calvert, Oklahoma, is a Jonah Hex villain from the comics. He was also the villain in the Jonah Hex movie played by John Malkovich. Hannibal Hawkes: Hannibal Hawkes isn't just the Old West hero Nighthawk, but in modern stories it was revealed that he was, indeed, one of the many lives of Prince Khufu/Hawkman. Klemmer & Sons sign: One of Salvation's storefronts is that of "Klemmer and Sons," apparently the business owned by Phil Klemmer's family. Klemmer is a writer and producer on Legends of Tomorrow. Geddes Drugstore sign: One of the signs in town is for an apothecary named D. Geddes, a nod to David Geddes, who directed last week's episode titled "Progeny. You Have to See it For Yourself This week Johnny and Brian are looking back at the 1999 Sci-fi classic The Matrix (the two that follow not so much)! The guys are talking about how groundbreaking this film really was and break it (and the rest of the franchise) down. News Bites Grey Damon has been cast on The Flash as Mirror Master… Hastings from Friday Night Lights Star Trek: Discovery is set 10 years before The Original Series… Yawn Suicide Squad setting Box Office Records… Villains vs. Villains > Heroes vs. Heroes Red Pill or Blue Pill… You Decide The Matrix is a 1999 American-Australian neo-noir science fiction action film written and directed by The Wachowskis, starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, and Joe Pantoliano. It depicts a dystopian future in which reality as perceived by most humans is actually a simulated reality called “the Matrix”, created by sentient machines to subdue the human population, while their bodies’ heat and electrical activity are used as an energy source. Computer programmer “Neo” learns this truth and is drawn into a rebellion against the machines, which involves other people who have been freed from the “dream world”. What The Matrix...

It's pretty fun. Come check out a history of one of your favorite heroes and remember! Always check mirrors for Mirror Master!
I can use a mirror a thousand different ways. Can turn a man inside out. Cut a hole through a seven-foot concrete wall. Make ye see things from yer fantasies -- or from yer nightmares. They laugh at us. At me. Bein' the bloody Mirror Master... 'cause they don't see. They don't look inta the mirror with honesty at 'emselves. Everyone needs an escape. An escape from the sins a' yer past. And the sins a' yer future. The real world. S'just not for me. Spat on my face, took my life and twisted it around. Made me inta somethin' I didn't choose ta be. I ain't ever going back. I ain't ever leavin' wonderland Mirror Master This is not the world that our heroes once knew and it all changed the day the solar flare happened and a mechanical army lead by Brainiac marched over humanity. Humans and metahumans have been hunted to near extinction but some fight back against the apocalypse in hopes of changing the fate of a world most consider dead. Strangers in a strange land and they potentially have found an escape from the horror that was a ravaged Earth but what do they do now? Batman, Starman, Green Lantern and the Mirror master have to ask themselves what to do they now and will anyone help them save their world? They do not have time to mourn the loss of one of their own as they arrive a place not unlike their own but different in many marvelous ways.A new group assembles to heed the call of our heroes and give them options to the grave situation before them. Do they return to the husk of their planet to save it before the mechanical genocide of Brainiac or do they stay and leave that world behind? These are the days of future crisis. Welcome back to The Flash Podcast! On this episode Andy is once again joined by Justin Mouton (writer of Unleash the Fanboy) who previously did the character spotlight for Reverse-Flash. This time he joins Andy to talk about another Rogue member and it's none other than Mirror Master! Throughout the discussion, they discuss the comic book history of both Sam Scudder (the first Mirror Master) as well as Evan McCulloch, the New 52 version of Scudder as well as Mirror Master's appearances in the media. In addition, they speculate how Mirror Master is going to be portrayed on The Flash. Also, just minutes before this episode was recorded, Prison Break's Dominic Purcell was cast as Heat Wave on the show and that is something Andy and Justin talks about in the episode.
