Hey gang. So we have this idea of running counter-propaganda via the idea of the Unsatisfying Kevin Quickie. Play 5 RANDOM minutes of Kevin's program and show how easy it is to poke tunnels through his "arguments". We start the episode with a little real news and then get into tearing through his bullshit. It turns out when someone's entire premise relies on being disingenuous, you have to break down the bullshit behind every single sentence. Every single gesticulation, every single behavioral pattern exhibited by the host of this misogynist comedy/propaganda show. So we actually end up going into a part 2 to follow this episode. I'm uploading these enough hours apart that folks should be able to catch these in decent time from each other and don't put too many podcasts up at once. http://patreon.com/winecellarmediafund http://paypal.me/PhoenixAndWilliam

#FFTV Episode 127 - It's Easy Doing It Once
This week Gerald Hector welcomes to his 50th episode of It's Easy Son, Dr. Samantha Madhosingh. Psychologist, author, motivational speaker, executive coach, mother and friend. She shares her journey from her early years living in the UK, to Jamaica, to the USA and what those moves taught her about her family and herself. Always the inspiration, she shares her highs and lows in those moves, and how those experiences shaped her thinking and work she does today. A very unselfishness person, she gives of her time and talents to inspire people to see past their stations in life to unlock their full potential. "I had to change because if I wanted my life to be different, I had to be different." This simple quote summarizes this impactful and timely conversation. She walks us through how to recognize how our brains process what we see and experience and provides tips on how to get back on track. We are all grateful that she made that change early on, as her work spanned youth in middle and high schools, young men in correctional facilities, parents of troubled children, all the way up to corporate executives who are trying to shape a culture that will drive success. She has assisted with both national and international disasters like Hurricane Katrina and the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. She has appeared on NBC, CBS, Fox and a host of podcast and interviews. Listen in this upcoming Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 8pm (EST) to hear another impactful journey to purpose. Tell a friend (or better yet listen together) and discuss this powerful episode around mental health and liberation from negative thinking.
Seeing visible results of losing weight from the changes we've been making come easy for some of us. When we get inspired, we might change our entire routine all the way from the foods we are eating to how we work out and the results are instant. As we start to become the most elite version of ourselves, we will face difficult challenges that let us know we are on the right track. Don't let the hard times keep you mediocre..you can do this! Tune in to learn more on how to live a life of excellence. What You'll Learn: How not all of us see gains and losses as quickly as others do. Why it's easy to stay mediocre. That when things are getting hard, it's a sign that you are living in excellence. The Greener Homes initiative was announced last fall and its online portal is now open for homeowners to register their projects. Senior director for the program, Ruth Talbot, joins Fenestration Conversations to explain the rebate program, what homeowners can get back in rebates, what projects might qualify, how the Energuide evaluations work and more. It's easy to get shiny object syndrome [Like a blackbird] We're on a mission to help one million people RISE by 2030 - join the movement at www.myrise.co.uk One thing I am sometimes guilty of on the coaching programmes I'm part of (see the last four blogs if you've been living under a rock!) is…………. Getting distracted with exciting new stuff. I see someone else is using a specific bit of software, a new form of social media or a different approach to coaching……….. And I think “Oooohhh – that look interesting”. And can, sometimes, get pulled away from the key stuff I should be doing. Only to realise a few days, weeks or months later that I haven't been doing some of the basics whilst getting distracted by stuff I find more exciting. Again, we've all be there. Tempted by the shiny new object. It looks better and more exciting than what we're doing right now. Sometimes it is. Often it's not. It's different at best. Often less good. We just got all excited because it was new. Like we can with our health and fitness approaches. We see a new diet or some new facility or programme opens up……….. Our friend loses some weight, tells us how they've done it and it's something we haven't tried yet…………… So we jump from what we were doing before to this. Initially excited. Until that wears off. And we, possibly, do the same again a few months later with something else. Looking back after a while and realising that, if we'd have just carried on with what was working, we'd have got further in that time. Whilst our retention is good for the industry, people do that with us. Do a couple of months. Then jump to somewhere else. Then somewhere else. And so on. Often ending up back here as it was actually the thing that worked best for them. Returning members always stay pretty much indefinitely. Because they've made that shift in their heads that this is ‘for them'. They've committed longer term mentally. Their head's in a different space. They've got over that ‘shiny object syndrome' and started being consistent with one approach. Which, from my experience at least, always gets better results over all. Much love, Jon ‘Touched for the very first time' Hall
There's no question that computers don't understand sarcasm—or didn't, until some researchers at the University of Central Florida starting them on a path to learning it.Software engineers have been working on various flavors of sentiment analysis for quite some time. Back in 2005, I wrote an article in Spectrum about call centers automatically scanning conversations for anger—either by the caller or the service operator—one of the early use-cases behind messages like “This call may be monitored for quality assurance purposes.” Since then, software has been getting better and batter at detecting joy, fear, sadness, and confidence, and now, finally, sarcasm. My guest today, Ramya Akula, is a Ph.D. student and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Central Florida's Complex Adaptive Systems Laboratory.

It is the journaling and scripting, it is the meditation, the yoga, the chanting, your breath work, nature walks, petting your cat or dog.... These are the things that will allow you to connect with this reality and make it your own comfortable home no matter where you are. Why is it so simple but never works..?? We talk about that today.. and how to break the patterns and loops in your life so you can truly find peace and joy in every moment. When is going against the crowd the right thing to do? Peer pressure is real. Whether out of fear of being different or just plain lack of confidence, students love to follow the crowd. It's safe that way; they get the rewards of being liked without risk of alienation. But then sometimes being part of the group takes more effort and requires a courageous denial of narrow self-interest. Standing alone becomes an act of selfishness, an abandonment of duty. Join Steve and Dan Fouts and special guest educators Jim Plaza, Jason Janczak and Paul Solarz for an unforgettable conversation that you can immediately recreate in your classroom!

You have to keep on keeping on!
Let's face it. The world has been one crazy place since COVID hit. Yes it has calmed down a bit. But the world has completely changed from how it was on all cylinders. Us, as Americans are comfortable and hate when things change. So for us and businesses, COVID was a big upset because it took us out of our comfort zone and shut some businesses down. Some businesses survived by adapting to the pandemic. They made remote jobs that paid six figures. Businesses were willing to pay this to make millions. A lot of people didn't want to go in stores and still don't so businesses offer remote products or services. People and businesses adapted to the worst possible situation. And if you want someone to change you have to do the same thing. I saw a question in a Facebook group asking how to change people? You can't. Only terrible situations can make someone change. For example, you may not be a fighter. But if someone tries to harm you, you will change to a fighter real quick and do things you didn't know you could do. You can't change no one. All you can do is leave that person alone and allow them to deal with the consequences of their behavior. And they'll decide whether they want to change or not. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Why do beginner day traders make so much money? Why is it so easy for someone brand new to the market who is just getting started to make money? It may sound like completely backwards logic; however, when you stop and think about how the market functions and how a beginner day trader functions, it actually makes a whole lot of sense! I've been running claytrader.com since 2013 and have seen these cycles come and go time and time again. People brand new to the market who are total beginners, yet, they are easily making all kinds of money. Their day trading accounts are growing and they seemingly have an awesome profit producing strategy. How does this make any sense though if they are brand new? Don't these people need to learn how to trade stocks in the right way? Let's dig deeper into this issue and, if I do my job right, hopefully make you aware of a common pitfall that many beginner day traders fall into without even realizing what is happening!
It’s easy to not respond... to remain passive, indifferent, busy. But as I was reminded last week, the most effective, transformational and life-giving leaders are the ones who respond and pay attention. They are the ones who step up and step forward. And, they aren’t always the individuals you thought they’d be.
