Coach Lorne Donaldson is currently the Head Coach of Jamaica's Reggae Girlz. The Girlz recently competed in the Women's World Cup and exceeded their expectations by making it to the Round of 16 for the first time. They did so by coming out of one of the toughest groupings in the first round. That accomplishment was the first not only for the island of Jamaica, but also for Caribbean countries. He assumed the role of Head Coach two weeks prior to the qualifying stage of the competition. An accomplished football player in his own right, he has been a part of the Reggae Girlz drive to become a global powerhouse in football for several years. He was a member of the coaching staff that saw the Reggae Girlz qualify and compete in their first World Cup in 2019. He has been one of the Reggae Girlz most ardent supporters and responded to the call when fellow coach and friend Hugh Menzies asked him to assist him and daughter of reggae icon Bob Marley, Cedella Marley, to revive a fledging women's program on the island. To say that he met his goal is an understatement. His skill, acumen and focus despite all the challenges is admirable and an inspiration to young coaches who are trying to shape a coaching career. A talented three sport athlete from a young age, it was his love for football that allowed for his career and passion for the game to be piqued. Not only did he play football in high school at the illustrious Kingston College for boys, but he took his talents to college and then to the professional ranks in the United States. After several setbacks and disappointments he settled into coaching, and the rest is history. One thing that is interesting in his background are the many stops he made along the way to realize his current role as one of the more exciting football teams in the world. A former coach of the Colorado Foxes, and having stints with several other clubs, he has focused his time and energy on developing youth players. It is that desire to see youth football blossom and grow in his native land of Jamaica that drives him forward. He has shaped and fashioned the careers of so many young football players and coaches, but more importantly he has given numerous young stars their first opportunities to play at the highest levels of the sport. He is a huge advocate for the true student athlete experience paving the way for scholarship opportunities for his players to gain entrance into some of the most prestigious universities in the United States that have football programs. His life journey thus far is one of impact and significance. It is one that shows that perseverance and staying true to our dreams do make a difference. His next objective is to see the Reggae Girlz to next year's Olympics and we are all watching to see how this talented team continues to grow and develop football in both Jamaica and the world.

While currently holding the record for most wins at Tougaloo as a first time head coach, Coach Strothers cares more about his players winning in life than on the court. He ensures they earn degrees. Strothers enacted academic study hall for each player to make sure his players are excelling in education. In addition, Coach Strothers recruits ‘young' athletes to nurture and develop their skills throughout their tenure at Tougaloo to build a winning team. It's a life lesson, he learned through his own experience. Strothers was a walk on at Jackson State University where he made a great impact. He was the team's most valuable player, both as a junior and senior. In 2018, Coach Strothers was inducted into Jackson State University's and SWAC's Hall of Fame. Strothers had a professional stint in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) and overseas. Afterwards, the criminal justice graduate decided to go back to his alma mater and earn a master's degree in physical education which he credits for creating his coaching path. A large portion of his coaching experience took place at JSU where he spent 20 years as an assistant. His expertise as a coach was also a contributing factor in the Tigers three appearances in the NCAA Tournament. He later left for Mississippi Valley in a similar role and added to his legacy. Coach Strothers also worked on the coaching staff at Tougaloo College where the team won the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) titles with an appearance in the NAIA Tournament. In addition to his college coaching duties, Coach Strothers is also a founder of the nonprofit, Percy Strothers Foundation which helps send students to college. Strothers also holds a Camp Strut Basketball Camp each summer to develop players. Plus, Strothers mentors elementary students at several Jackson area schools teaching them early life coping skills through obedience to elders, teachers and coaches plus the importance of team building and working as a team.

Gerald Talks with Gary Harrell on #ItsEasySon!!! "Gary Harrell joined Jackson State in November of 2020, after serving as running backs coach for a season at Alabama State. In the Fall 2021, Santee Marshall and Peyton Pickett combined for nearly 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns. Prior to joining ASU, he served a two-year stint under Lane Kiffin at Florida Atlantic. He joined the Florida Atlantic staff in January of 2017. His attention was given to the wide receivers who rotated throughout the season seeing the quarterbacks utilize a total of nine receivers. Senior Kalib Woods was named the Conference USA Championship MVP, and Willie Wright, just a freshman, was the team's most consistent wideout and led the Owls with 56 catches and a total of six scores. Following the year, Wright earned a spot on the C-USA All-Freshman team. Prior to his stint at Florida Atlantic, his alma matter came knocking on his door and asked the Miami native to return to the program, but as the head coach in 2011. All told, Harrell served as Howard University's head coach for five seasons. During his Howard tenure student-athletes worked under the premise that athletics and academics were evaluated equally. In 2012 he was honored by the D.C. Touchdown Club as the Local College Coach of the Year at its inaugural awards dinner. During his time at Howard, he finished with a 20-36 overall record including a 7-4 mark in 2012. Before going to Howard, Harrell spent two seasons as the offensive coordinator for Bowie State, from 2009-10. Harrell began at Morgan State in 2008 where he remained through 2009 before seizing the opportunity to move from a position coach with the Rattlers to an offensive coordinator position at Bowie State. He was a part of a team that finished 6-6 in 2008 and 6-5 in 2009. While at Morgan State he also served as the wide receivers coach for Team Michigan, a member of the All-American Football League (Feb. 2008 - May 2008). Harrell got his start in coaching at his alma mater, focusing on Howard's wide receivers from 2002-04. Howard posted a 6-5 record in 2002, a 4-7 mark in 2003 and a 6-5 mark in 2004, including splitting two overtime games. He moved away from his alma mater to gain collegiate coaching experience in another environment. He served as a Texas Southern assistant coach, for wide receivers, from 2004-06.Harrell returned to the east coast as an assistant coach in 2006. His two-year stint was made easier due to his familiarity with the MEAC. Harrell, affectionately known as “The Flea,” played two NFL seasons, seeing action in four games in 1994 and '95, with the New York Giants. He also played one season (March 1996-June 1996) for the World League's Frankfurt Galaxy and two seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Montreal Alouettes (1996-97). He was a four-year letter winner as a wide receiver and punt return specialist. He started every game for Howard's undefeated 1993 team and was a member of the MEAC Championship team that same season. Harrell holds the Howard record for most receptions in a game (13) and in a career (184). He was inducted into the Howard University Hall of Fame in November 2005, and also received a proclamation from the City of Miami declaring it Gary “Flea” Harrell Day. Prior to attending Howard, he was a varsity athlete for Miami's Northwestern High School. A native of Miami (Fla.), Harrell earned his degree in Marketing from Howard in 1994. He and his wife (Tenika) have two children, a daughter – Jasmine – and son – Gary, Jr. – who is a member of the Howard football team." Courtesy of GoJSUTigers.com

Humanitarian, social-entrepreneur, activist, and concerned citizen of our global community. These are some of the descriptors most commonly used when referring to Ronnie Lott, a four-time Super Bowl champion and Pro Football Hall-of-Famer. Lott's accomplishments beyond the football field have exceeded his superb career as one of the most distinguished and identifiable defensive players in NFL history. Lott's commitment to serve others -- a trademark of his humanitarian efforts -- began during his NFL playing career when he learned that the success he had in football could feed his passion for helping others. In 1989, Lott and his wife Karen founded “All Stars Helping Kids,” (ASHK) a San Francisco Bay Area-based non-profit organization that supports underserved youth. ASHK, has raised more than $30 million with a mission of disrupting the cycle of poverty by increasing the effectiveness of non-profits that focus on education, career readiness and the health and wellness of Bay Area youth. Additionally, ASHK has assisted in funding start-up businesses owned and operated by young people of color. It was named outstanding charity by Catholic Charities in 2008. In addition to his work at All Stars Helping Kids, Lott co-founded Champion Charities in 2004 with former teammate Harris Barton after Barton lost both his parents to brain tumors. Brain tumors are one of the most lethal forms of cancer for children under the age of 15 and are also the leading cause of cancer-related death for adults 35 years and under. Champion Charities has contributed a significant amount of money for researching brain tumors as well as supporting patients suffering from the disease. Lott lent his name to the Lott IMPACT® Trophy in 2004, one of the nation's most prestigious awards given annually to the college football defensive IMPACT player of the year. IMPACT is an acronym for: Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community, and Tenacity. To date, the Foundation has donated over $1.5 million to charities and scholarship funds. Lott continues his activism while serving on a wide range of boards including Hall of Fame Health, SuRo Capital, Sutter Rock Capital, Multiplying Good Bay Area, Palo Alto Advisory, The Golden Heart Fund, True Capital Management, GSV Capital, and the Santa Clara University Board of Trustees, The Basic Fund and Tipping Point Community, a grant-making organization aiming to break the cycle of poverty.

His favorite time with his sons is at bedtime when they talk about their day, tussle around a bit, and pray together before the boys go to bed – Usually one or both stay up long after they should, asking questions about the wondrous things in the mind of a 13- or 10-year-old and Andre' is inwardly delighted to have this time with his boys. As Coach and mentor, Andre' has touched the lives of hundreds of young people, especially boys. As a coach of coaches, he has passed along the philosophy that “we aren't just coaching the game, but we are inspiring, impacting & influencing lives through the game.” From the 3- to 18-year-olds Andre' knows the influence of his voice, the heavy impact of his words and the assurance of his presence.
