In episode 320, Megan chats with Izzah Cheema, founder of Tea for Turmeric, the largest Pakistani food blog, about why creating more content for your blog does not necessarily lead to growth. Izzah specializes in Pakistani recipes and with less than a 100 recipes on her site, she has over 350 thousand page views a month or about 2 million views a year. In this episode, she explains why posting lots of recipes regularly is not necessarily a wise growth strategy and why curating content specifically for your audience, helping them solve their problems, will get you much further. - Are you producing content that you will NOT be ranked for? - Build unshakable EAT (Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trust). - Treat each blog post with extra care to improve EAT. - Provide a solution to a specific problem in your market to rank more easily. - Do the work nobody else wants to do (which food solutions or information have not been written about yet?) - Roundups is a smart way to market what you already have instead of writing new content.

A few days ago, Home Minister Hamzah Zainuddin announced that the immigration department will be conducting operations to detain undocumented migrants during the two-week lockdown. This appears to contradict a statement made a few months ago by the Minister of Science and Technology, Khairy Jamaluddin, who’s running the National COVID-19 Immunization Programme, who previously said that we need to encourage everyone to get vaccinated including undocumented migrants and that they will not be arrested. The Home Minister’s decision to hunt down undocumented migrants has received pushback from various quarters, including Human Rights NGOs as well as the APPGM (The All-Party Parliament Group Malaysia), which consists of MPs from both opposition and government. Joining us on the show today to discuss the issue, is YB Nurul Izzah Anwar, MP from Permatang Pauh and a member of the APPGM. Image source: Nurul Izzah Anwar Facebook

Izzah Hemoo is a early 30s workaholic from Bristol in the United Kingdom who used to live to eat and was addicted to sugar and was the quintessential eater of her feelings, which had her bloat up to 110 kg at her heaviest. She discovered intermittent fasting because her working hours had her forgetting to eat for more than 16 hours some days and she realised she felt better somehow. She researched this and found Gin Stephens and the wonders of intermittent fasting, lost 40 kg over 2 years, and the rest is history. It was so easy! Or so she thought. Life happened and she stopped fasting, which saw her weight steadily increase up to 90 kg again by end of Dec 2019. She went back to intermittent fasting in March 2020 and lost the weight and fat again. Intermittent fasting is like her old friend. Nowadays she doesn't weigh, but believes in the power of fasting and relies on it to stay healthy. She does OMAD most days and throws in a 36:12 hour fast once a week. She is not in maintenance yet but knows this is her path for life. News My Book The Fasting Highway is due for release in 2-3 weeks and a preview show about the book will air soon. Next Week.
