“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.” (Matthew 7:24–25 NLT) While spending time at the beach, I’ve watched people construct some very elaborate sandcastles that took hours and hours to build. I admired their creativity and persistence. But I also knew those impressive structures wouldn’t be around for very long. It was only a matter of time until either a tide came in and swept them away or a toddler appeared out of nowhere and demolished them. The builders could do little to prevent this eventual erosion or destruction because their efforts were doomed from the start. They used sand as their foundation. And though it may seem like an unusual analogy, I’ve seen many married couples make similar mistakes. They build their marriage on “sand,” like those impermanent sandcastles. They build it on fleeting emotions or sex or some other rash impulse. And they discover all too soon that a marriage must be built on something stronger that will sustain it. Jesus concluded His Sermon on the Mount with an illustration about the importance of building our lives on the right foundation. His illustration can be applied more specifically to the importance of building a marriage on the right foundation. Look at His words: “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock” (Matthew 7:24–25 NLT). Jesus didn’t speak of storms as something that might happen. He described them as something that will happen. Marriages go through changes. They go through trials. That’s why it’s essential to build a marriage on the right foundation. Those who do will come to know the truth of Proverbs 18:22: “The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the LORD” (NLT). When Jesus quoted Genesis 2:24, He placed God in His rightful position at the center of the union between a man and a woman: “Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together” (Matthew 19:6 NLT). And notice how many Scripture passages that deal with maintaining and thriving in a relationship all begin with the assumption that the Lord is at the center of it. The apostle Paul wrote, “Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace” (Ephesians 4:3 NLT). He also wrote, “Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others” (Colossians 3:13 NLT). Is your marriage on the Rock of Christ or on the rocks? If it’s built on the Rock, then it will stand the test of time. If it’s built on the Rock, then it will weather the storms. If it’s built on the Rock, then it’s built to last. Reflection question: How can you tell if a marriage is built on a solid foundation? Every strong structure begins with a solid foundation. A beautiful house may impress people from the outside, but if the foundation is weak, it won't survive the storms. The same is true for our lives. Many people build their lives on success, money, popularity, or personal achievement. While those things may seem stable for a season, they cannot provide lasting security. When difficulties come—and they will—the true strength of our foundation is revealed.God calls us to build our lives on trust in Him. Instead of becoming discouraged by the apparent success of others, we are invited to delight ourselves in the Lord. As we spend time with Him, He shapes our desires, aligns our hearts with His purpose, and establishes a foundation that can withstand every storm.True success is not found in having more than others. True success is knowing God, walking in His purpose, and becoming the person He created you to be. When God is your foundation, you can remain secure whether you're experiencing abundance or adversity.

Life is full of unexpected storms. Some arrive suddenly through loss, disappointment, temptation, financial hardship, or relationship struggles. Others develop slowly over time through compromise, distraction, or neglect of God's truth. Jesus taught that the difference between standing firm and falling apart is not the absence of storms—it is the foundation on which we build.A house built on sand may look beautiful, but when the wind and rain come, its weakness is exposed. In the same way, a life built on personal opinions, worldly values, or temporary pleasures will eventually be tested. Only a life rooted in Christ and His Word can withstand the pressures of life.Building on the rock requires more than hearing God's Word; it requires obedience. Every choice to tell the truth, remain faithful, forgive, pray, trust God, and follow His ways strengthens our foundation. These daily acts of obedience prepare us for the storms we cannot yet see.The good news is that Jesus Himself is our foundation. As we trust Him and walk in His truth, He gives us the strength to endure whatever comes our way. Storms may shake us, but they do not have to destroy us.

Is Angelichio correct to focus on versatility for his receivers including Germie Bernard, DK Metcalf, Michael Pittman Jr. and Roman Wilson? And offensive linemen including Max Iheanachor, Mason McCormick, Gennings Dunker, Troy Fautanu and Broderick Jones? And what can that versatility possibly add for new coach Mike McCarthy's offense? And on defense, can Patrick Graham clean up the communication issues that have plagued the unit at times under coach Mike Tomlin? And if so, how effective can Cam Heyward, T.J. Watt, Joey Porter Jr., Jalen Ramsey, Jamel Dean and the rest of the group be? Our duo tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Build on the right foundation. Our life is built on His life! MESSAGE SUMMARY: Today, we delve into the profound mystery of the Holy Spirit and its vital role in our Christian walk. We're reminded that it's not just about having the Holy Spirit, but allowing the Spirit to have us - to lead and guide our lives. The message emphasizes three key sins against the Holy Spirit: grieving, quenching, and blaspheming. When we choose bitterness over love, or hold onto unforgiveness, we grieve the Spirit. Every time we sin, we quench the Spirit's flow in our lives. Yet, there's hope in confession, which reopens the floodgates of the Spirit's presence. This teaching challenges us to examine our hearts: Are we truly yielding to the Spirit's guidance? Are we living holy lives that honor God? It's a call to deeper surrender and a reminder of our constant need for the Spirit's empowering presence in our faith journey.   TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, I now take a deep breath and stop. So often I miss your hand and gifts in my life because I am preoccupied and anxious. Grant me the power to pause each day and each week to simply rest in your arms of love. In Jesus' name, amen.    Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 132). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Self-Centeredness. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit's fruit of Love. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f). Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. Read more about Project23 and partner with us as we teach every verse of the Bible on video. Our text today is 1 Corinthians 3:10-11. Everyone's building something— a career, a reputation, a family, a future, a legacy. But Paul reminds us that the foundation matters just as much as the construction. Actually—more. According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. — 1 Corinthians 3:10–11 Paul is clear: There is only one true foundation—Jesus Christ. Everything else looks strong for a while, until life leans on it. Success, relationships, security, money, comfort, reputation— none of them can hold the weight of a real life. Only Jesus can. But Paul makes a second point we often miss: You don't choose the foundation, but you do choose how you build. Your habits, decisions, reactions, desires, disciplines— all of them are construction materials. They determine whether your life is: Sturdy or unstable. Aligned or crooked. Lasting or temporary. Paul says, "Let each one take care how he builds…" Because not all building is equal. You can build fast—but sloppy. You can build big—but weak. You can build impressively—but not wisely. The foundation is perfect—Christ Himself. But the structure you build on top of Him is being shaped every day. And here's the accurate truth: If your foundation is firm—and you build on it correctly—your life will stand firm. Not because you're strong but because Christ is solid and your building aligns with Him. Storms don't destroy what's built on Jesus with care. Pressure doesn't crack what's anchored in Him. Time doesn't weaken what's formed by His wisdom. So today isn't just about believing in the right foundation. It's about building on it with intention. DO THIS: Write this somewhere you'll see it today: "I'm building on Christ." Then identify one habit that needs to be rebuilt with Him at the center. ASK THIS: What part of your life is being built quickly instead of carefully? Which habits reflect Christ—and which don't? What will building "correctly" look like today? PRAY THIS: Jesus, You are the foundation of my life. Teach me to build with wisdom, humility, and strength that aligns with You. Amen. PLAY THIS: "Firm Foundation (He Won't)"

In this message, Pastor Dale debunks the argument of those who attempt to deconstruct the Church and excuse themselves from being part of a local assembly by saying that, because of mankind's involvement, the modern church is a flawed institution. From the beginning, God built His Church on the foundation of Jesus AND on the revelation He imparted through His Spirit to the Apostles and Prophets - the latter being imperfect human beings. Yes, men (and women) are flawed, and many have veered off course. However, God's intention has always been to use men to build and maintain His Church. He will always have a remnant of uncompromising people willing to align with His will and be used to move Christ's Body forward into greater levels of maturity, spiritual revelation, and power by making Jesus the Chief Cornerstone of their local assemblies and building upward from the foundation previously laid by the Apostles, Prophets, and spiritual fathers.

Ministers Rest | Mar 24, 2025 In these times, the world is entering an era where human existence is increasingly intertwined with machines and artificial intelligence. However, true wisdom and understanding do not come from artificial sources but from the ancient paths—foundations established long ago by those who walked closely with God. It is the responsibility of those who carry this understanding to rise and bear witness to the truth in these last days. Spiritual maturity requires discernment. Not every light is true light, and not every teaching carries life. Many seek validation through material achievements, measuring spiritual success by external displays of grandeur. Yet, the true temple of God is not built with human hands—it is within those who have surrendered fully to Christ. The pursuit of external recognition often leads to striving, but those who find acceptance in Christ alone are free from the pressures of human expectations. The journey of faith is not about accumulating knowledge from every source but about allowing the Spirit to refine and filter what is true. Many have wandered, seeking deeper revelation, but true wisdom is found in aligning with the foundation that has already been laid—Christ Himself. This requires a willingness to let go of old mindsets, to remove the rubble of past teachings that hinder growth, and to build afresh on a foundation that cannot be shaken. Growth in the Spirit comes through humility, correction, and unity. Disagreements must be handled with wisdom, and rather than arguing over doctrine, believers should seek understanding through one-on-one conversations. Correction should be given in a way that edifies rather than divides. The goal is not to win debates but to grow together in truth and love. Ultimately, the path forward demands death to self—letting go of personal ambition and the desire for recognition. The only thing that matters is pleasing Christ. In surrendering fully to Him, believers will find themselves positioned to stand firm in the days ahead, walking in the wisdom and strength that only God can provide. Martyn Lloyd-Jones Sermon Podcast

1 Corinthians 3:11 — What is the hope for humanity? It was once believed civilization would bring a utopian society. The world developed around the idea that philosophy, education, knowledge, culture, and housing would create harmony among humans. On the contrary, civilizations have produced greater and more violent wars. Civilization has ended not in utopia, but failure. In this sermon on 1 Corinthians 3:11 tilted “The Right Foundation,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones explores divisions in the Corinthian church. Unity is threatened as a popularity contest ensues. The apostle Paul is compelled to deal with the problem as it affects the cross. The Corinthian problem is found in their cracked foundation. Dr. Lloyd-Jones explains that if the foundation is not right, nothing is right. The right foundation deals with two fundamental questions. First, who is man? And second, who is God? The right foundation is laid, not by humans, but by God in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Without this foundation, life becomes completely meaningless, descending into chaos and division. What is the problem with humanity? The answer is not the lack of education, politics, or culture. The human problem is that humanity has built its own foundation on sand. Listen as Dr. Lloyd-Jones proclaims Jesus Christ alone as the adequate foundation.

In these final verses of Luke 6, Jesus concludes His message to the newly called disciples and the multitude.  He has been speaking on what it really means to be a true disciple, a genuine follower of His. You can and will be blessed or happy despite your circumstances (vv.20-26), and despite how people treat you (vv. 27-38). This will take place because you are like your Teacher, the Lord Jesus Christ. And it will be evident by the good fruit you will bear you in your life (vv. 39-45).   The Lord now makes it very clear that it is not enough to merely hear His Word and call Him “Lord”. We must also obey what He commands us to do. In Matthew 7:21-23, you find an additional warning Jesus gives at this point in His message. "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'”   Not everybody who professes to know the Lord has had a real experience of salvation. They may have been active in church and other religious organizations, but if they are not saved by faith, they have no foundation to their lives. They have built their religious experience on what they have done and accomplished that surely impressed everyone around them but did not impress God. And when they stand before God one day, they will hear these terrible words, “I never knew you; depart from me!”   Jesus is first addressing those who have a “confessed faith” in verse 46. “But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?” We must have a belief that behaves! There are many who are quite willing to own Jesus as King, as long as they can run their own affairs and make all of the decisions. They say, "Lord, Lord," but then they proceed to please themselves. The Lord will have none of it.   Next Jesus speaks of the triumph of a “correct faith” in verses 47-48. “Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock.” All of us are builders and we must be careful to build wisely. To "build on the rock" simply means to obey what God commands in His Word. It means that we “dug deep” into God's Word and found Jesus! “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:11).   Finally, Jesus speaks of the tragedy of a “counterfeit faith”: “But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great." In both cases, there was a readiness to hear. The difference lay in what they did in response to what they heard. The person who listens to the Lord and is content with simply giving intellectual assent to the truth is on dangerous ground. He is building for eternity on shifting sand. The person who takes the Lord's words to heart and acts upon them, however, is on the solid rock. Happy is he!   From this chapter we learn that we can do the important and impossible tasks of being a genuine follower of Jesus by faith in Him alone. When we are abiding in Him, we will bear the fruit of Christ-like life! It will not be a burden to be obedient because His Holy Spirit will produce the fruit of love, joy, kindness, gentleness and faith. Fruit does not have to work at being fruit! It simply abides in the vine.   My friend, are you building your life on the foundation of Jesus Christ and abiding in Him today?   God bless!

Are you thinking about an eventual exit from your agency? Curious about how to prepare for selling your agency down the road? Preparing for a potential sale well in advance can be beneficial, even if you ultimately decide to retain your business. Our guest had a clear vision of his goal: to grow his agency while waiting for an opportune moment to sell. He shares valuable lessons on how coaching accelerated his growth and why he wishes he had joined a mastermind group sooner to establish the necessary systems for a successful sale. He shares insights into building a thriving agency and navigating the industry with a strategic approach. Ronik Patel is the founder of UnlimitedWP, a white-label WordPress Development company recently acquired by the white-label agency and longtime friend of the Smart Agency podcast, E2M Solutions. He shares his journey in the agency space, from starting Unlimited WP to its recent merger with E2M, and discusses the unique approach of productizing white-label services for digital agencies and the inspiration behind it. In this episode, we'll discuss: Building a sellable agency from scratch. The impact of agency peer groups. Preparing for an agency sale. Subscribe Apple | Spotify | iHeart Radio Sponsors and Resources E2M Solutions: Today's episode of the Smart Agency Masterclass is sponsored by E2M Solutions, a web design, and development agency that has provided white-label services for the past 10 years to agencies all over the world. Check out e2msolutions.com/smartagency and get 10% off for the first three months of service. Building a Sellable Agency from Scratch Ronik has been in the agency space for eight years, when after completing his master's degree in entrepreneurship, he faced the challenges of a failed startup and recognized the need for a venture that required minimal initial investment. While operating an agency is not without its complexities and uncertainties, it offered him the opportunity to launch a business independently and with no capital, allowing him to gradually develop it into a lifestyle enterprise. However, Ronik's ambitions extended beyond merely creating a lifestyle business; he aspired to build an enterprise with the potential for future sale. To achieve this, he engaged with agency coaches to explore alternative models that would allow for rapid scaling and eventual sale. Inspired by design firms that successfully productized their services, Ronik noted the absence of similar strategies within the agency sector at that time. Determined to innovate, he set out to implement this approach in his own agency. Accelerating Success: The Impact of Agency Peer Groups Reflecting on his personal journey, Ronik believes that one of the most impactful decisions he could have made earlier was to seek out a mentor and join a mastermind group. His experience has shown that being part of an agency group and learning from industry experts can dramatically accelerate growth and success. By being part of a community of like-minded individuals, a step he took during his third year of owning an agency, entrepreneurs can gain valuable insights, advice, and support that can help them navigate challenges and make informed decisions. However, changes don't happen overnight. It took Ronik a couple of years to learn and implement what he learned, so he could have potentially achieved his goals in half the time if he had joined sooner. Ultimately, engaging with others and sharing experiences, helped him gain the confidence to try different things and improve his business strategies.   Moreover, things won't just happen unless you challenge yourself to actively participate in these communities to reap the full benefits of membership. Ronik stresses the importance of showing up, asking questions, and seeking help when faced with challenges. Being proactive and engaging with other members is the best way to leverage the collective knowledge and expertise of the community to overcome obstacles, find solutions, and achieve their goals. Building Value for Buyers: Lessons in an Agency Exit Strategy When it came time to sell, Ronik didn't have one particular reason to take this step. The timing was right, the offer was just right, and he had always envisioned he would sell at some point. Outside of just waiting for the right moment, he does recommend preparing for that moment by making a shortlist of potential buyers and initiating conversations with them to understand what they are looking for in a buyout, as well as actively seeking out potential buyers and making introductions early on in the process. By building relationships with potential buyers and understanding their criteria for a buyout, entrepreneurs can better position themselves for a successful sale when the time comes. Ronik also highlights the importance of understanding where the weightage will go in a potential buyout. He shares his experience of not knowing initially that factors such as the team, revenue, brand, and marketing channels would be crucial in the eyes of the buyer. By knowing this information ahead of time, entrepreneurs can tailor their efforts and focus on strengthening these aspects of their business to make it more attractive to potential buyers. Ultimately, it's always good to set up your agency for a possible future exit even if you don't end up selling because it creates freedom either way.
