Why Thursdays you don't need make-up, just ask Jess Glynn. Why making a 'life annoyance list' is the most important New Year step toward a better you, just ask Maria. Why removing those items from your life is the second most important step, just listen to Maria. Why making a list of small, attainable goals is the third most important step, just ask Keven. Why making certain, specific life adjustments may help you find your ideal mate, just ask Kelsey. Why you may want to mesh your creative pursuits into your day job, just ask Pooja. Why it's still all about hard work and sacrifice to achieve success yet as much about detachment. Why the last two years may have set you back, yet also set you forward. Why Freeze remains the best underground nightclub in LA, why Komebacks are spelled with a 'K', why calling things 'Krisp' is huge with Eastern European teens. So Heal Squad, here's to our last BT show of '21 and to Krisp Kween Komebacks in '22. See you at Freeze. #Krisp #KomebackKweenz

This week, we take a trip to 123 Studios in Peckham, south London, to interview the studio's owner, Brett Shaw. We speak to him about how his production skills are built on a foundation of engineering expertise, working on sprawling album projects, building your own preamps, and what it's like recording the vocal for a multi-platinum Grammy-winning single. Brett started his music career as multi-instrumentalist in the band South, who signed to Mo' Wax in the late 90s, a cult record label founded by UNKLE's James Lavelle, who co-produced the band's debut album. After the band, Brett set up his own recording space, engineering the vocals on many hit records, including multi-platinum mega-hit 'Rather Be' by Clean Bandit featuring Jess Glynn, which went 4x platinum, wining a Grammy and Ivor Novello awards. In recent years, Brett's collaborated with the band Foals to produce their double album ‘Everything not saved will be lost', and worked from the ground up with Florence and the Machine to produce their album ‘High Is Hope' - both records earned a Mercury nomination. Other credits with Mura Masa, Gorillaz, daughter, Swim Deep and Kindness round out an impressive resumé. The Process of Production is presented by Lawrence Diamond and Bob Matthews. Lawrence cut his teeth playing and writing in Indie bands before finding international success and touring the world with his band CITIZENS! During that time he worked with a host of revered producers including Liam Howe, Mark Ralph and Alex Kapranos. Since the band ended in 2016 he's been using that experience to help other artists develop their careers as a writer and producer while continuing to release his own music under various different guises. Bob learned his trade as the producer and multi-instrumentalist in Electronic Pop duo Alpines, whose career spans 3 albums, releases on major and indie record labels, shows with Florence + The Machine, The xx, Emeli Sandé, and a top 20 hit 'Tidal Wave' in collaboration with Sub Focus. In recent years he has turned his focus to producing other acts and has a studio in Chiswick in West London. I see you could not resist the tea and had to come back for a refill. Let me let you know I have a show full of tea for Grammy lovers. Get ready, because CandidCam is ready to serve you. Last night was the 57th annual Grammy’s Award Show in Los Angeles, California, hosted by R&B legend LL Cool J. The Grammy’s had everything from fashion dos and don’ts, to great live performances, and of course Grammy winners from all genres of music. Sam Smith left the night with four Grammy’s in hand, followed by Beyoncé with three, and Pharrell Williams with two, and then there was the snub of the evening, Beck who received album of the year. Rihanna who is usually a fashion diva was not last night, but the men on the carpet took almost all the attention away from her last night. And last but not least the Grammy’s is about music, and they did not let us down with the performances last night. From Ariana Grande to Sam Smith to Beyoncé the night was filled with great live music. The Grammy’s once again was a hit!
