"Fatal Attraction, Florence & Finding Your Voice"In this sun-soaked episode of My Music, Graham Coath sits down with the effervescent Lenny—a rising star whose music is bursting with life, energy, and the kind of pop hooks that make summer feel like it's already here. From the Instagram buzz to BBC Introducing buzz, Lenny's infectious optimism and sharp songwriting are making waves. She opens up about the story behind her single Fatal Attraction (spoiler: it's not about boiling bunnies), how songwriting helps her process life, and why not every song needs to be for the world—some are just for you.We talk notebooks, voice notes, Florence + The Machine, and the magic of turning real-life chaos into a glittering chorus. Plus: why Lenny carries a black-ink-only pen and doodles stars and hearts when the lyrics hit just right.
For many of us, 2015 feels like just a few years ago. But the reality is, we are now a full DECADE away from the midpoint of the 2010s. You know what that means: time for a potent hit of nostalgia, arguably more comforting than ever in these unprecedented times. Thankfully, 2015 was loaded with incredible music, including career-defining singles for more than one pop-music superstar, some strong debuts by new and fresh voices, and some totally unexpected bangers. So join us as we go back to a slightly simpler time as the Great Pop Culture Debate determines the Best Song of 2015. Songs discussed include: "Hello" by Adele; "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran; "All About That Bass" by Meghan Trainor; "Bang Bang" by Jessie J., Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj; "Stay With Me" by Sam Smith; "Ex's & Oh's" by Elle King; "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars & Mark Ronson; "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk the Moon; "Chandelier" by SIA; "Delilah" by Florence + The Machine; "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift; "I'm Not the Only One" by Sam Smith; "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift; "Bitch Better Have My Money" by Rihanna; "Love Me Like You Do" by Ellie Goulding; "I Can't Feel My Face" by The Weeknd. Dennis is joined via Zoom by author and sex worker David Wichman to talk about his new book The Four Rooms: An Inqueery On Sexual Freedom and Well-Being. David talks about why he wanted to write the book, the struggles he faced along the way to publishing it and how, once it was finished, he delighted in having AI read it to him in the plummy British voice of actor-director Richard Attenborough. David also talks about why he calls his book "a non-self help book," and how he tries in his writing and his sex work to create a place where gay men can take down their armor. Other topics include: being intentionally smiley in bathhouses and sex clubs, the sacredness of gay divas like Madonna and Kylie Minogue, hearing from fans of his sexual videos from places where being gay is illegal like Syria, being a superfan of Florence + The Machine, why he doesn't have an arrogant guru vibe, what his many exotic travel adventures have taught him about America, digging deep to write his previous book, the memoir Every Grain of Sand and how Stevie Nicks saved his life. www.davidsworld.me

Released on January 31, 2025, through XO and Republic Records, the album was initially planned for an earlier release but postponed due to the LA wildfires, with The Weeknd contributing $1 million to aid relief efforts. This album concludes a trilogy that began with 'After Hours' in 2020 and continued with 'Dawn FM' in 2022. 'Hurry Up Tomorrow' features collaborations with artists like Justice, Anitta, Florence + The Machine, Travis Scott, Future, Playboi Carti, Lana Del Rey, and Giorgio Moroder on tracks that explore new musical territories. Notably, the much-anticipated "Dancing in the Flames" did not make it to the final cut.The Weeknd has described this project as his farewell to the persona he's mastered, signaling a shift towards new creative ventures. Alongside the album, a psychological thriller film of the same name, starring The Weeknd, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan, is set for release on May 16. The segment also covers promotional events including a NYC Pop-Up Experience with Spotify and a Hot Topic Takeover in Las Vegas with exclusive merch. Additionally, proceeds from the track "Take Me Back to LA" are being donated to the LA Regional Food Bank. The world feels like it's teetering on the edge of an apocalypse, or maybe just a really dramatic season finale. Lately, we've witnessed a wave of significant deaths, or things barely clinging to life: TikTok, filmmaker David Lynch, anti-gay crusader Anita Bryant, bodybuilder Chris O'Donnell, PrEP, Marriage Equality, democracy, the U.S. dollar, the Golden Globes, The Village People and yes, even Snoop Dogg's career. But, as Florence + The Machine wisely reminds us, it's always darkest before the dawn. Change often comes with chaos, upheaval, and a little bit of existential dread. So, take a deep breath, focus on the solutions, and remember: together we can overcome anything, especially when everything feels like it's falling apart.Today, we celebrate 20 years of podcasting as we launch of our 21st season with a special guest: Chicago comedian Dan Cass, known for his razor-sharp takes on relationships.SAVE FEAST OF FUN, HELP US GET A NEW COMPUTER:• feastoffun.com/donateFOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM:★ instagram.com/dankkass★ instagram.com/faustofernos★ instagram.com/marcfelionJoin us as we dive into the deaths of icons, institutions, and ideals shaping the future, including:The rise and fall of TikTok and the rise of… whatever comes next.• The passing of filmmaker David Lynch.• The Republican-controlled Supreme Court's looming attacks on marriage equality and our ability to stop HIV. • Trump's latest cash grab with not one, but two cryptocurrency scams.• The Village People's Victor Willis insists “YMCA” was never a gay anthem, as he cashes in on all that sweet MAGA money.

A song - any song - when done right - can transport you to a different time, a different place, and take you on an emotional rollercoaster. It's an exhilarating feeling isn't it? Whether you're driving down the highway, volume cranked - singing along, or maybe you're doing chores at home, and the music transforms the mundanity into something worthwhile. Maybe it's a killer headphone session with a perfectly curated playlist - by you, or any of the playlist geniuses that work at iHeartRadio Canada - wait - who wrote that?? Dog Days are Over by Florence + the Machine, is just intrinsically just one of those great songs… a slow build with almost timid instrumentation, followed by a heartwarming and gentle voice taking you out on the quiet melodic waters - transporting you away to your own little musical island - when all of the sudden it crescendos with the power and soul of a voice so uniquely resonant, I might even argue that there hasn't been another voice so special since the song was released into the wild over 15 years ago. Editors Nathan Orloff and Shane Reid SATURDAY NIGHT editors Nathan Orloff and Shane Reid team up for the second time in 2024 with their latest Jason Reitman / Gil Keenan project about NBC's long-running sketch comedy show. Having previously cut GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE together, the pair developed a strong working relationship that certainly came in handy when Shane had to do double duty between this project and DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE (2024). SATURDAY NIGHT is a frenetic dramatization of what happened behind the scenes during the ninety minutes leading up to the first broadcast of NBC's Saturday Night on October 11th, 1975, when a dynamic young producer named Lorne Michaels lead a ferocious troupe of young comedians and writers in changing television forever. NATHAN ORLOFF Nathan Orloff is known for his editing on TULLY (2018), PLAN B (2021), GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE (2021), JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 (2023) and GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE (2024). Editors Dean Zimmerman ACE and Shane Reid DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE editors, Dean Zimmerman ACE and Shane Reid are the "buddies" in the cutting room of what is shaping up to be the biggest, R-rated buddy movie of all time. Zimmerman joined this film with two other Shawn Levy / Ryan Reynolds films to his credit, but it would be Mrs. Pool (Blake Lively) who would be Shane Reid's connection into the "Merc With a Mouth" franchise. Deadpool's peaceful existence comes crashing down in DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE when the Time Variance Authority recruits him to help safeguard the multiverse. He soon unites with his would-be pal, Wolverine, to complete the mission and save his world from an existential threat. DEAN ZIMMERMAN, ACE DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE finds Dean collaborating once again with director and longtime friend, Shawn Levy. The two have been working together for over twenty years on projects like the NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM franchise and a little series called STRANGER THINGS. More recently, the two have joined forces with Ryan Reynolds for FREE GUY (2021) and THE ADAM PROJECT (2022). Zimmerman and Levy are currently working on the much-anticipated final season of STRANGER THINGS. Dean's father, Don Zimmerman, is a highly accomplished editor in his own right.
