MPF Discussion with Karen ChastonThe Journey to Becoming My Own Best Friend with Karen Chaston About Karen Karen brings a unique perspective; extensive business experience and hard-earned wisdom that she wished were available to her when she needed them. As a C.P.A. and former corporate Chief Financial Officer, Karen ran on the corporate treadmill until the day her world came tumbling down. The constant effort of juggling everything was taking its toll even before tragedy struck when her son, Dan died at 27 in July 2011. Karen’s suffering and disappointments became the catalyst for her to STOP, take a Conscious Loving Breath and realise she’d been living in a “Groundhog Day Daze” and did not recognise who she had become. She then went on a personal and spiritual growth journey, that she likes to call “The Journey to Becoming My Own Best Friend.” Along the way, Karen was guided to realise that “Death” comes to us all, in many forms as we journey through life. Be it a death of a loved one, marriage, partnership, job, pet, health, wealth and many more. Empowering Women in Real Estate - The Podcast with Karen Cooper

Today Karen gives us a doable strategy for staying in contact with our people. We're adjusting to working from home and we are limited in our access to showings and public events so let's make sure we stay close.   1. Reach out 2x weekly to your active clients. They may be hearing mixed messages on the news or from friends and family, so you need to be that calm, steady source of wisdom surrounding their transaction. 2. Contact 3 people per day. Have a low goal like this and maybe you'll get into a good rhythm and you'll want to do more than 3. In reality, it will feel easier once you get started and your calls may turn into texting conversations and that's really good, too. 3. Do 5 social media posts per week. These should be positive and should promote the community. This is your best substitute for meeting new people out and about. 4. You know Karen loves her hand written notes. She's a big believer, so keep it up and shoot for 5 per week.   And remember! Empowering Coaching is currently free. Join Karen here at www.empoweringwomeninrealestate.com. 108 – Learning to Embrace Yourself   Advancing in your career starts with embracing how good you are. Don’t be scared to show the world who you really are. This week’s episode of Good Girls Get Rich is brought to you by Uplevel Media CEO and LinkedIn expert, Karen Yankovich. In this episode, Karen discusses embracing how good you are and the challenges that come with that. #GoodGirlsGetRich We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com.   About the Episode: The doors to the She’s LinkedUp program were recently opened where new participants signed up for the course. The course is designed to help people achieve their business goals through the help of LinkedIn marketing. One of the biggest challenges course participants face is embracing how good they are. Embrace How Good You Are Who do you view yourself as? Do you view yourself as an expert or someone who doesn’t measure up? No matter how you view yourself, you’re an expert in your field, and you have to believe that! If that makes you queasy, you’re not alone. But changing your mindset and viewing yourself as the expert you truly are is the catalyst that will help you achieve your business goals. It’ll be hard at first, but I believe in you, and I’m here to support you. Don’t Be Concerned What Business Peers Think A common excuse I hear from people who are nervous to embrace their true awesomeness is being concerned what others will think about them. But what does it matter? When someone doesn’t like you for embracing yourself, they were never going to do business with you in the first place. When you show everyone how good you are, though, everyone else will also see and want to do business with you. It shouldn’t be your concern which business peers won’t like you. But it should concern you that everyone else isn’t getting to see what you really have to offer. Don’t Be Concerned What People In Your Personal Life Will Think Sometimes the hardest part in letting yourself shine is worrying what the people in your personal will think. But again, what does it matter? Your family and friends see you for who you are and love you for that. By embracing yourself, you’re not changing who you are. You’re simply grabbing ahold of your greatness and showing the world what you bring to the table. Embracing yourself makes you get out of your comfort zone, but once you’re out of that zone, you’ll see a world full of more opportunities. Need help embracing your greatness?
