What if the tax you've been paying has nothing to do with your prices — and everything to do with where you've been pointing your loyalty? In this solo episode, Karen Yankovich does something she's never done in nearly 400 episodes of Good Girls Get Rich: she gets in the hot seat herself. She shares the real number from the worst year of her career. Not a "slow quarter." Not "I undercharged." A full year of work that ended with a minus sign. And in the same breath, she reveals what her own business — the one she was neglecting — was quietly earning on the side. This episode is raw, specific, and deeply honest. And it will make you think about your own number. In this episode you'll hear: The real story behind the "good girl tax" — and why Karen was the one paying it The exact income figures from four years of a business partnership that cost her six figures What happened to her revenue the year she finally walked away (hint: it more than quadrupled) Why loyalty, patience, and commitment are never the problem — only where they're aimed How to name your own number — and why saying it out loud changes everything If you've ever stayed too long, waited to be chosen, or kept quiet about what something really cost you — this one's for you. Diane did everything right. She worked harder than anyone, she gave more than anyone, and she still got passed over - for the raise, the promotion, and the money she'd earned ten times over. If that sentence made your stomach drop a little, this episode is for you. In this episode of Good Girls Get Rich, Karen Yankovich introduces "the good girl tax" - the invisible cost paid by women who are the most generous, most responsible, and most beloved in every room they walk into, and the least paid for it. Through the story of Diane (a composite of 100 women Karen has worked with), Karen walks through exactly how this tax gets charged - first in the classroom, then again when Diane rebuilds her career from scratch on LinkedIn. This episode isn't about fixing it yet. It's about finally seeing it. Key takeaways: The good girl tax isn't charged on your mistakes. It's charged on your best qualities - your generosity, your reliability, your willingness to over-deliver. "It's a calling" is often code for "we don't want to pay you." Teachers earn about 73 cents on the dollar compared to peers with the same degree in other fields - and that gap is the widest it's ever been. The broken rung is the real starting point. For every 100 men promoted to manager, only 93 women make it - and every future raise is calculated off that lower starting number. Sponsorship changes everything. Only 31% of women at that level have a sponsor versus 45% of men - and sponsored people are nearly twice as likely to get promoted. Letting your work "speak for itself" doesn't work. Diane tried it for 18 years in the classroom and again on LinkedIn - same result both times. If this episode hit close to home, don't keep it to yourself - share it with a friend who needs to hear it too. Are you holding an entire ecosystem together — aging parent, partner, grandkids, life — while also trying to run a business and stay visible? You are not alone. In this episode, Karen Yankovich gets real about something most business coaches won't touch: the professional cost of caregiving. She calls it "invisibility creep" — the slow, quiet fade that happens when we step back to care for the people we love. And she's here to tell you: it doesn't have to be that way. Key Takeaways: Caregiving is leadership — not a weakness or a career detour. LinkedIn's algorithm rewards consistency over frequency, making it ideal for caregivers who can't post every day. What if the only thing standing between you and your biggest business goal is a belief you formed when you were eight years old? In this episode of Good Girls Get Rich: The Conversations, Karen Yankovich sits down with Dr. Kapu Patel - certified mindset coach, former Big Pharma scientist, photographer, and one of the most gifted connectors Karen knows. They dig into why strategy alone will never be enough, what it really takes to network like you mean it, and how the stories we inherited are quietly running our businesses. Key Takeaways: Networking is not about the card - it's about being fully present with the person right in front of you. Your childhood beliefs are running your adult business. Mindset work isn't optional - it's foundational. The real reason you're not taking action is almost never what you think it is. Being visible on LinkedIn can help you get found by your ideal audience, but if you aren't leveraging the platform to its fullest potential, you can still be overlooked. For many business women who post content regularly, the authority, invitations, and opportunities they desire are still falling short. What many discover is that doing all of the right things on LinkedIn doesn't mean you are a 'discoverable expert.' In Episode 474 of the Amplify Your Success podcast, I'm joined by Karen Yankovich, LinkedIn and PR expert for women entrepreneurs, to unpack what is actually creating authority right now and why visibility without credibility no longer moves the needle. Karen and I talk about the difference between being active on LinkedIn and being positioned, how PR accelerates trust in ways content alone cannot, and why midlife women are uniquely suited to lead with experience, perspective, and presence. We also explore how authority compounds over time when visibility is anchored in identity, relevance, and contribution, not noise. If you are tired of blending in, want your expertise to be recognized, and are ready for LinkedIn to open real doors, this conversation will help you see what needs to shift. Key Takeaways: [00:00] Why LinkedIn visibility alone no longer creates authority or opportunity. [04:12] The difference between posting content and being positioned as a thought leader. [07:35] How PR elevates credibility and accelerates trust beyond social media. [10:28] Why midlife women have a natural advantage in building authority right now. [13:44] The identity shift required to move from expert to recognized leader. [17:02] How strategic visibility compounds into long-term influence and opportunity. [20:16] Why authority is built through relevance and proximity, not volume. [23:41] What it means to lead with perspective instead of chasing engagement. About The Guest: Karen Yankovich is the CEO of Uplevel Media and host of the Good Girls Get Rich podcast, where she teaches ambitious women how to turn their brilliance into bank through the power of LinkedIn and PR. Known as the "LinkedIn Fairy Godmother," Karen helps midlife women step out of invisibility and into thought leadership — landing high-ticket opportunities, media features, and brand collaborations that grow both income and impact. After decades in corporate and entrepreneurship, Karen saw too many brilliant women underselling themselves, so she built her signature She's LinkedUp programs to change that. Her clients learn to magnetize opportunity with modern strategies that blend soulful energy work with the practical magic of visibility — because wealthy women change the world. When she's not helping clients reignite their careers, you'll find her recharging by the ocean in New Jersey, wrangling her four kids and six grandkids, or recording her next podcast episode with a cup of coffee and a big dose of Jersey real talk. Karen believes visibility is an act of service — and that every woman deserves to be known, valued, and richly compensated for the work she loves. In this bonus episode of the Rich Woman Reset series, Karen Yankovich explores the identity shift that transforms wealth from an idea into a lived experience. This episode is about more than mindset. It is about embodiment. If you have ever felt yourself shrinking, softening your edges, or downplaying your success to stay comfortable or likable, this conversation will resonate deeply. Karen shares why wealth is a nervous system experience and how your identity determines how much visibility, income, and opportunity you can receive. Wealth Begins with Identity Many women were taught to associate wealth with fear, judgment, or being "too much." Over time, these beliefs become embodied patterns. You cannot expand into greater wealth while holding a contracted identity. Karen explains how your nervous system must feel safe with visibility, power, and higher prices before wealth can truly land. This work is not about forcing confidence. It is about expanding your capacity to receive. The Three Identities of a Rich Woman In this episode, Karen introduces three core identities that every wealthy woman embodies. These qualities already live inside you. The work is waking them up. She Is Visible She allows herself to be seen. Visibility is not a performance. It is her natural state. She Is Valued She knows her worth and charges accordingly. Her boundaries are loving, clear, and firm. She Is Vocal She uses her voice and shares her perspective, even when it feels uncomfortable or disruptive. How Rich Women Move Through Daily Life This identity shift shows up in small, powerful ways every day. Rich women: Respond instead of reacting Say no without guilt Receive compliments without deflection State their prices without shrinking Speak from truth, not fear Lead with calm authority instead of urgency This energy is steady, grounded, and sovereign. A Guided Embodiment Moment Toward the end of the episode, Karen guides you through a brief visualization to help you step into this identity now. You are invited to imagine how you move, speak, set boundaries, and trust yourself as the rich woman you are becoming. Your next level is not something you chase. It is something you embody. In This Episode, You'll Learn: Why wealth is a nervous system experience How identity impacts visibility and income The three identities of a rich woman How to stop shrinking and overexplaining What calm, grounded authority looks like How to embody wealth starting today Resources Mentioned In The Episode: Learn more about The Visibility Salon: https://visibilitysalon.com Catch the full Rich Woman Reset playlist: https://karenyankovich.com/richwomanreset Check out The Glow Up Audio Experience: https://www.KarenYankovich.com/glowup Help Us Spread The Word! Welcome back to the Good Girls Get Rich podcast and I'm your host, Karen Yankovich. If you've ever thought, “I like working… I just hate the way I'm working,” you're not alone. This episode of the Good Girls Get Rich Podcast was inspired by a Facebook post from a new mom on maternity leave who dreaded going back to her job. She loved being productive and using her brain — but hated the micromanagement, the stress, the traffic, and missing her baby's milestones. And I remember that feeling. The early-morning commutes. The endless meetings. The sinking sense that your brilliance is building someone else's dream while yours waits on the sidelines. Here's the truth: This isn't burnout — it's misalignment. And alignment is your birthright. We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. About The Episode and Highlights: In Episode 322, I share 10 high-income business ideas you can build from the career skills you already have — so you can work in your zone of genius, enjoy more flexibility, and create financial independence. These strategies work whether you're ready for a full career change or want to start something alongside your current role. The Consultant Path – Turn Your Expertise into a Premium Service Consultants get paid for their brains, not just their time. If companies hire outside experts for projects you could do, you can become that expert. Instead of billing hourly, create value-based packages that reflect the results you deliver. Example: If you're in HR, offer a “Recruitment Process Audit” for growing companies — at a premium rate. The Course Creator Path – Build a Profitable Online Program You've likely taught or explained something 100 times in your career. Package that knowledge into an online course, workshop, or training series. You can create it once and sell it over and over. Example: A PTA president could create “The Ultimate Guide to Running a Successful PTA” and sell it nationwide. The Coach or Mentor Path – Guide the Next Generation People already ask, “How did you do that?” Turn your experience into a coaching or mentoring business. Whether 1:1 or in a group, you can support the next wave of women in your industry Example: A finance VP could mentor women looking to break into leadership roles. The VIP Day Model – Deliver High-Value Results in One Day Some clients want high-touch, quick results and are willing to pay a premium for it. A VIP Day lets you dedicate one day to solving a client's problem from start to finish. Example: A yoga instructor offers a private, customized wellness retreat day — including movement, meditation, and nutrition planning — for $2,000. The Done-With-You Model – Collaborate for Success Perfect for perfectionists — you don't do everything for the client, but you work alongside them. This builds intimacy and keeps your workload lighter. Example: In my She's LinkedUp program, we write LinkedIn profiles with our clients, ensuring their voice shines through. Digital Products – Sell What You've Already Created Templates, checklists, email scripts, or spreadsheets you've made for your own job can become instant-download products. They sell while you sleep and position you as an authority. Example: A project manager could sell a “Team Communication Toolkit” with meeting agendas and templates. Speaking & Training – Get Paid to Share Your Expertise Corporations, associations, and schools all pay for expert speakers and trainers. Build a speaker kit and start pitching topics you're passionate about. Example: A marketing director could teach “Brand Storytelling for Nonprofits” at association events. The Thought Leadership Path – Build a Brand that Attracts Dream Clients Consistently showing up online builds authority. Post on LinkedIn, do podcast interviews, and publish articles. The more visible you are, the more opportunities come to you. Example: A career coach shares weekly LinkedIn posts and guest articles on work-life balance, leading to client referrals. The Advisory Path – Offer Strategic Guidance If you have expertise in startups, boards, or nonprofits, you can offer advisory services. It's a way to provide high-level input without being tied to a 9–5 schedule. Example: A retired educator advises a startup creating educational tech for schools. The Boutique Agency Path – Lead a Small, Profitable Team Hire a small team to do what you currently do and step into the CEO role. Start with just one or two clients and grow at your pace. Example: A social media freelancer builds a boutique agency specializing in Instagram marketing for women-led brands. Magical Quotes From The Episode: “This isn't burnout — it's misalignment. And alignment is your birthright.” “Stop pouring your brilliance into someone else's dream. Start building your own.” “Every single one of these business models is rooted in skills you already have — you don't need another certification.” “The life you want is closer than you think, but you have to choose it.” Resources Mentioned In the Episode: I created a special guide to go with this episode — 50 Business Ideas from Real-Life Paychecks. But here's the truth: invisibility is not the end. It's a door. And in this episode, I'm handing you the keys. Why Being Underestimated is Your Strategic Advantage I've been in rooms where no one asked what I did. I've felt like I was blending into the wallpaper. But I've also learned something powerful: being underestimated can work in your favor. When people don't see you coming, you have the space — and the freedom — to reintroduce yourself on your terms. Instead of pushing harder to be seen from a place of desperation, you can take that breathing room to refine your brand and step into the spotlight strategically. 3 Steps to Flip the Script and Own the Room In this episode, I share how to turn invisibility into undeniable presence with a few intentional shifts: Reclaim Your Narrative Your LinkedIn profile isn't your resume — it's your stage. Speak to the future you and the transformation you deliver, not just your past titles. Update your headline and About section to reflect who you're becoming. Create Daily Visibility Rituals Visibility isn't a one-time event. I call it “watering your money tree” — small, consistent actions like commenting on posts, engaging in conversations, and connecting with people you admire. Practice the ICU Principle I See You. Visibility is reciprocal. When you intentionally see and celebrate other women, they see you too. This isn't about pushing — it's about genuine connection and collaboration. Action Steps You Can Take Today Before you click away, here's your quick start checklist: Update your LinkedIn profile image and banner to reflect today's you. Refresh your headline with the “Who you are, who you help, how you help them” formula. Add credibility builders in your Featured section (media mentions, interviews, lead magnets). Commit to 10 minutes of intentional commenting every day. Schedule one micro PR moment this month — a podcast guest spot, local media feature, or speaking opportunity. A Visualization to Step Into Your Power Midway through the episode, I guide you through a short visualization to help you embody that undeniable presence before stepping into any room — virtual or in-person. It's a moment to root into your experience, own your authority, and carry the energy that makes heads turn (for all the right reasons). Magical Quotes From The Episode: “Being underestimated isn't a setback — it's your strategic advantage.” “Your LinkedIn profile isn't your resume. It's your stage.” “Visibility is reciprocal — when you see others, they see you.” “You are not invisible. You are undeniable. Your experience is your authority" Resources Mentioned In the Episode: If you'd like my personal eyes on your visibility strategy, book a complimentary call — let's get you seen, heard, and paid what you're worth. Welcome back to the Good Girls Get Rich podcast and I'm your host, Karen Yankovich. Today's episode is a heart-to-heart conversation about the invisible barrier holding too many smart, successful women back from building real wealth: your own mindset. If you've ever hesitated to quote a high-ticket price… If you've found yourself discounting your services without being asked… Or if you've heard that little voice whisper, “Who would pay me that much?”… Then this episode is for you. We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. About The Episode and Highlights: We're diving into **why women chronically undercharge—by 28% less than men on average!—**and how to break out of that scarcity cycle. But I'm not just giving you pep talks. Today, you'll get practical strategies, energy rituals, and mindset shifts to start confidently charging what your work is worth. This is your reminder that charging more isn't about greed. It's about giving yourself the resources to overdeliver and create world-changing impact. Think of this episode as a blend of business strategy and energy work… a little tough love, a lot of empowerment, and some real talk about branding, value, and the kind of wealth-building that lets you serve from a place of abundance. Ready to treat yourself like the luxury brand you are? Let's dive in. What You'll Learn in This Episode: Why women entrepreneurs undercharge by 28%—and how to stop leaving money (and impact) on the table. The psychology of premium pricing and why transformation sells better than hours. How your LinkedIn profile, media mentions, and even your headshots help justify higher price points (branding signals matter!). My favorite morning energy ritual to boost confidence before pricing conversations. Why a $10K client is easier than ten $1K clients (yes, really). The simplest way to create high-ticket offers that feel natural, not forced. How to turn your past experience into premium-priced packages—even if you've been working in corporate or volunteering. The mindset shift from “I'm not enough” to “I'm growing my value”—and why you should double your prices today. Premium Pricing Doesn't Mean Overcharging. It Means Owning Your Value. I'm not asking you to slap a $10,000 price tag on your $20 offer. I'm asking you to create a premium offer that truly reflects the transformation you deliver, and to build a business model that supports both your clients' success and your personal wealth. When your cup overflows, you serve better. So… what would your next level look like if you owned that? Magical Quotes From The Episode: “Wealthy women change the world. Let's help your energy match your impact.” “Your energy precedes your words. People decide your value before you say a single thing.” “If you're not a little uncomfortable with your pricing, you're probably not charging enough.” “Premium pricing isn't about charging more—it's about giving yourself the resources to overdeliver and serve from a place of abundance.” Resources Mentioned In the Episode: Grab your FREE Premium Pricing Workbook here. Welcome back to the Good Girls Get Rich podcast and I'm your host, Karen Yankovich. Today's episode is a warm, honest invitation to step off the exhausting hamster wheel of endless posting — and step into my signature LinkedIn Loop instead. We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. About The Episode and Highlights: If you've ever caught yourself thinking “If I just post more, surely clients will come…” — we need to talk. Because visibility alone won't pay the bills, my friend. It needs to be part of a bigger, softer, smarter loop that feeds your credibility, sparks real conversations, and gently ushers your dream clients to say yes to working with you. Here's the juicy breakdown we unpack in Episode 315: Visibility is only step one. It's your big open door — but without credibility layered on top, you're just shouting into the void. Credibility is what makes your audience whisper, “I need her in my corner.” I'll teach you how to build it with thought leadership, killer profile positioning, juicy PR features, and client success stories that prove you walk your talk. Conversations are the bridge. Ditch spammy DMs — I'll show you how to craft warm, relevant outreach that feels human and leads to true connections (and, yes, big contracts). Conversion flows naturally when your loop is humming. This is where the cash lives, friend — aligned offers, simple calls to action, and a profile that gently sells for you while you sip that matcha latte. I even share real client stories (like Jessica and her hidden PhD!) that show exactly how this works in the real world — for women just like you who are DONE underpricing themselves and ready to claim their worth. Magical Quotes From The Episode: “Credibility without visibility is like being the smartest woman in the room who never opens her mouth.” “If you're not having intentional conversations, your funnel is dead. But your loop can keep you wealthy.” “Own what you've earned — it's not bragging if it's true.” “We're building loops, not spinning our wheels. More wealthy women, one LinkedIn profile at a time.” Resources Mentioned In the Episode: Connect with me on LinkedIn: Karen Yankovich — and peek at how I do this for myself. About The Episode and Highlights: How to set up your Featured Section so it funnels eyeballs to exactly where the money is — your offers, your booking link, your thought leadership. Why your LinkedIn Newsletter is a low-key SEO powerhouse that emails your brilliance straight into inboxes without you lifting an extra finger. The overlooked magic of the Services Section — your personal LinkedIn storefront that screams “I'm open for business and worth every penny.” Let's get real: More posts don't equal more clients. Smart, strategic LinkedIn breadcrumbs do. And today, I'm giving you permission to ditch the posting hamster wheel and build a six-figure invisible funnel instead. Key Takeaway: LinkedIn is not TikTok. It's not your job to entertain the masses — it's your job to attract decision makers ready to pay you well for your expertise. These three features do that heavy lifting for you. Homework: Pick ONE of these three LinkedIn features this week. Polish it up. Make it magnetic. Then watch what happens. Magical Quotes From The Episode: "LinkedIn is not here to entertain strangers — it's here to position you to attract aligned decision makers." Welcome back to the Good Girls Get Rich podcast. I'm your host, Karen Yankovich,LinkedIn strategist, PR mentor, and unwavering advocate for women building wealth and visibility on their own terms. In today's episode, we're taking a hard look at something that's both incredibly simple and deeply underused: your existing LinkedIn network. We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. About The Episode and Highlights: If you're a woman in transition—whether from corporate to consulting, from hustle to high-ticket, or from quietly brilliant to loudly visible—this episode is your roadmap. You don't need another funnel. You need to reignite the network you already have. LinkedIn Isn't Just About Visibility—It's About Leverage We've all heard that “your network is your net worth,” but most people treat their network like a dusty Rolodex from 2006. I'm here to change that. Because what if I told you that your next $25,000 consulting contract, board seat, speaking engagement, or media feature isn't out there… it's behind you? That's right. Your next big opportunity is likely sitting in the inbox of someone who already knows, likes, and trusts you. Someone who already respects your work. Someone who just hasn't thought about you in a while because, well, life. And this is where most entrepreneurs go wrong. They're so busy grinding—posting daily, building funnels, chasing strangers on social media—that they forget the goldmine of relationships they already have. These are people who already see your value. You don't have to convince them. You just have to reconnect. The Reconnection Revolution: Turning Existing Relationships into Revenue Inside my She's LinkedUp accelerator, we always start with what I call the “low-hanging fruit.” Before we even talk about PR or big visibility strategies, we look at your existing LinkedIn network—because this is where the momentum begins. Let's break it down. I want you to open LinkedIn, click “My Network,” and start scrolling. Sort your connections by recent conversations, or by company. You'll be amazed at who's there. That former colleague who's now a director at a company you'd love to consult with? That client you adored working with who moved into a new leadership role? The person you met at a conference in 2019 and never followed up with? It's all sitting right there. The problem is, most women don't take this step because they don't know what to say. They don't want to be “salesy.” They feel awkward about initiating a conversation that doesn't have a clear outcome. And honestly? I get it. But this isn't about pitching. It's about reigniting relationships. And relationships, not cold leads, are what build seven-figure networks. The 3-Step Reconnection Method for LinkedIn (No Sleaze Required) This episode introduces you to my tried-and-true method for turning dormant connections into warm leads—without ever sounding like a spam bot. Step 1: Start with context. Think back to where and how you know them. Did you meet at a conference? Were you on a board together? Did you used to work together? Reference that moment. “I saw a post about Disney and thought of our conversation about your trip with the kids,” or “I just came across your profile and realized how long it's been since we were on that panel together.” Step 2: Drop in a current positioning line. Let them know where you are now. “I'm currently working with high-level women leaders to land media and consulting contracts using LinkedIn and PR.” Keep it short, clear, and powerful. Step 3: Create an invitation without an agenda. This is the magic. “Would love to hear what you're working on—maybe there's a way we can support each other.” That's it. No hard sell. Just curiosity and connection. And believe me when I tell you: this kind of message has led to six-figure conversations for my clients. It works. Why This Strategy Works So Well for Women in Business Over 40 Let's be honest: if you're anything like the women I work with, you're not some rookie starting out. You've got experience, results, leadership, and legacy. But what's often missing is the visibility to match that brilliance. The women I serve—high-achieving professionals, coaches, consultants, authors, board members—are done with tactics that feel like a race to the bottom. They're not here to chase likes. They're here to land big, aligned, transformational opportunities. And those don't come from random cold outreach. They come from aligned, trusted connections. This is especially true for high-ticket consulting, executive visibility, board seats, and speaking gigs. When you pair this warm reconnection strategy with a public-facing PR presence (like being featured on podcasts or in Forbes), your credibility multiplies. That old colleague now sees you as the go-to expert in your field. The magnetism becomes real. That's why She's LinkedUp teaches both: LinkedIn strategy for discoverability and PR strategy for instant credibility. PR + LinkedIn = Visibility That Converts Imagine reconnecting with a former colleague on LinkedIn… and when they check out your profile, they see: Articles you've been featured in Podcasts you've been a guest on Awards you've received High-ticket services clearly articulated Suddenly, you're not just an old connection—they're wondering why they haven't already hired you. That's visibility done right. Not constant posting, not going viral. Just being strategic, visible, and credible to the right people. That's what I call Empowerment Era Marketing. And that's what today's marketing demands. Ready to Find the Gold in Your Network? Here's what I want you to do today: Open LinkedIn and click on “My Network.” Sort your connections by recent interactions or company. Make a list of five people you already know, trust, and respect. Reach out using the 3-step method: context, positioning, curiosity. And please—don't make assumptions. That neighbor? Her brother might be your next big client. That old manager? He might be leading innovation at a company desperate for your expertise. This is not about reaching out to 100 people a week. This is about 2-3 powerful reconnections a week that could change everything. Still Not Sure What to Say? That's why I'm here. If you want help crafting the right positioning, polishing your LinkedIn profile, or layering in a PR strategy that turns your name into a magnet, let's talk. "Empires are not built from cold outreach. They're built from warm alignment." "Your next big opportunity isn't out there. It's behind you—in the people who already trust you." Welcome back to the Good Girls Get Rich podcast. I'm your host, Karen Yankovich. Let's talk about the truth that no one is saying out loud: if you're not using LinkedIn DMs strategically, you are leaving opportunities — and let's be real, income — on the table. #GoodGirlsGetRich We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. About The Episode and Highlights: In Episode 311 of the Good Girls Get Rich podcast, I'm taking you deep into the art and soul of messaging decision-makers on LinkedIn in a way that feels authentic, confident, and effective. If you've ever stared at someone's profile thinking "Wow, I'd love to work with her…" — and then totally froze, not knowing what to say — you're not alone. That hesitation? That fear of sounding like a spammy bot or a desperate sales pitch? We're tossing all of that out today. This isn't about cold-pitching. This is about relationship-building. It's about showing up in a way that positions you as a thought leader, not just another profile trying to “pick their brain.” It's about LinkedIn messaging that opens doors, lands speaking gigs, builds partnerships — and yes, secures those dreamy high-ticket contracts. So let's walk through the exact LinkedIn DM strategy I use (and teach in my She's LinkedUp programs) to create business magic through intentional connection. Why LinkedIn DMs Are Your Hidden Goldmine You've probably heard me say this before, but it bears repeating: LinkedIn DMs are the most valuable piece of real estate in your entire online business. Yes, visibility is important. Your profile needs to shine. Public content and PR get you noticed. But money doesn't come from likes and views. It comes from conversations. Your DMs are where real decisions get made. When you stop viewing LinkedIn as just another social platform and start treating it like a curated networking event for powerhouse women — that's when everything shifts. But here's the catch: how you message matters. A lot. Because most people are doing it wrong. What Makes a Great LinkedIn DM? Let's get something straight: no one — and I mean no one — wants to read a long-winded pitch from a stranger. And no one's jumping on a 30-minute call just because you dropped into their inbox saying you can help them scale to seven figures. So, what works? Keep It Personal and Purposeful Start with something real. Mention a podcast they were on, a post they made, or a mutual connection. Let them know this message is meant specifically for them — not a mass blast. Example: “Hi Sarah, I just listened to your interview on the Good Girls Get Rich podcast. Your take on redefining success for women over 40 hit me hard — I've been having that same conversation with my own clients lately.” That's not just a message. That's a bridge. Explain Why You're Reaching Out — Briefly This isn't the time to outline your entire service suite. Just share why this feels like the right connection. Example: “I work with women in transition who are looking to step into more visible leadership roles, and your work really aligns with that. I thought it might be worth connecting.” Boom. No pressure. Just purpose. End With an Easy Yes This is where most people fall flat. Instead of launching into a sales pitch, simply extend an invitation. A “let's chat” that feels low-pressure and high-vibe. Example: “If this feels aligned, I'd love to hop on a 15-minute call and explore some ways we might collaborate.” Not only does that feel approachable — it's more likely to get a response. That's not a pitch. That's a possibility. Voice Notes, Video Messages & What to Watch Out For Now, if you're feeling bold (and I know you are!), using voice or video messages can really help you stand out. There's something magical about letting people hear your energy and intention. But a word of caution: not everyone's in a place to watch or listen on the spot. And sometimes those messages sit unopened for days because people just don't have a minute to absorb them in the moment. So use these tools wisely. They're powerful — just make sure you're not making it harder for someone to respond. Let's Talk Stats: Why This Works Here's what the data says — and you know I'm all about backing strategy with evidence. LinkedIn InMails (if you're not connected yet) have a response rate of 18–25%, which is more than double the 1–10% rate of cold emails. Short messages (under 400 characters) have a 22% higher response rate than longer ones. Messages referencing mutual connections, shared groups, or podcasts increase your chances of a response by up to 21%. And here's a bonus tip: Thursdays have the highest response rates for outreach on LinkedIn. So block off an hour every Thursday to make this your new revenue ritual! Your Energy Speaks Before You Do And listen — none of this matters if you show up from a place of “pick me, pick me!” desperation. You're not begging. You're bringing value. You're not selling. You're inviting. The energy you lead with makes all the difference. If you don't feel 100% confident yet, that's okay. Borrow my confidence. Seriously. So many women in my community have said, “Karen, I heard your voice in my head while I was messaging — and I doubled my quote.” You have permission to channel your boldest self until she feels second nature. Imperfect Action Beats Perfect Planning Don't sit on this. Don't overthink it. Don't wait until your profile is perfect or it's Thursday at 10am. Open LinkedIn. Pick one person you'd love to connect with. Send a short, genuine, purposeful message. That's how momentum starts. That's how conversations turn into contracts. That's how you stop being invisible and start being unforgettable. Want Help Crafting the Perfect DM? This kind of outreach is just one piece of what we cover inside She's LinkedUp — my signature program designed to help women like you become the most powerful, profitable version of themselves online. We just revamped the entire program, and it's more aligned than ever with ease, visibility, and results. If you want support mapping out your own high-ticket strategy and crafting messages that feel like YOU… hop on a free call with my team. Let's build a business that brings you back into your brilliance — starting with a single message. Magical Quotes From The Episode: “Your LinkedIn DMs are the most valuable real estate in your business. It's not just visibility — it's where the real money happens.” “Don't pitch. Invite. This isn't about convincing people — it's about creating conversations that matter.” “If you're not feeling confident yet, borrow mine. Show up with the energy of the wealthy woman you're becoming.” “Take imperfect action. Open LinkedIn right now, pick one person, and start the conversation. That's how momentum is built.” Resources Mentioned In the Episode: Connect with me on LinkedIn: Karen Yankovich Follow me on Instagram: @karenyankovich Book a Clarity Call here. Welcome to Episode 310 of the Good Girls Get Rich Podcast and I'm your host, Karen Yankovich. You know those conversations that leave your soul lit up and your mind spinning—in the best way? That's what today's episode is. #GoodGirlsGetRich We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. About This Episode & Highlights: I had the absolute joy of sitting down with my friend, fellow Entrepreneurs Unfiltered co-host, and powerhouse Social Impact + Big Idea Coach, Jess Sato, for a deep, juicy conversation about something I don't think we talk about nearly enough: What it really means to take a stand in your business—and why it matters now more than ever. Because here's the thing, friend… your business already is making an impact. The question is—is it the impact you want to be making? In this conversation, Jess and I unpack the hidden (and not-so-hidden) power of social impact branding, what it looks like to weave your values into your message, and why this “new era” of entrepreneurship is less about perfection… and more about purpose. “Your silence is not neutral." Let's be real: we were raised in a world that told us to keep things polite. Don't talk about politics, religion, or money at the dinner table. Just do good work and stay in your lane. But that's not the world we live in anymore. And honestly? That old advice is keeping too many brilliant women invisible. Jess breaks this down beautifully—reminding us that we can't afford to stay quiet anymore. If we care about creating a better world (and I know you do), then our businesses need to reflect that. People want to buy from women who stand for something. Who say the bold thing. Who show up fully aligned. And when you do that? You're not just creating revenue. You're creating ripples. “If your message doesn't make you squirm a little… it's not bold enough.” Yes, Jess said that. And I wanted to stand up and clap. Whether you're updating your LinkedIn headline or pitching yourself to speak on a stage, your message should stretch you. Jess walks us through her signature BOLT methodology—Bold, Original, Loud, and Tenacious—and I swear, it's like she was reading the minds of every woman who's ever asked, “Is it okay for me to say this?” Here's what BOLT really means: Bold: It should make your heart race a little. Bold ideas challenge the status quo. Original: Your story, your experience, your point of view—that's your secret sauce. Loud: Are you saying what everyone else is saying… or are you cutting through the noise Tenacious: The magic doesn't happen overnight. We need to stick with it, even when it's uncomfortable. This framework is a game changer for women who know they're meant to be seen. Who are ready to go from "best-kept secret" to category of one. Your values are your brand now. Period. One of the most powerful parts of this conversation was Jess's take on how younger generations (especially Gen Z and Millennials) are making buying decisions. Did you know that over 85% of consumers from these generations choose brands based on shared values—and stick with them for the same reason? Jess put it simply: "People want to know who they're doing business with." And let's be clear—you don't have to be divisive or controversial to take a stand. You just have to be honest. Say what matters to you. Share why you started your business. Talk about what breaks your heart and fires you up. That's what builds trust. That's what turns listeners into clients and followers into fans. Why women staying quiet is the real risk I opened up to Jess about the fear that comes up when we start sharing our message out loud—especially when the people hearing it are friends, family, or former coworkers. And I know I'm not alone. For so many of us, it's not the internet trolls or anonymous followers we're worried about. It's the people who know us. What will they think? Will they still support me? Jess's answer? “What in the world could change if you actually said what you want to say?” Whew. Read that again. Because the truth is, your message matters. There's someone out there—probably right now—waiting to hear your story. And when you finally say it out loud, you give them permission to rise too. This is what leadership looks like in 2025. Not just revenue goals or polished branding. But real voices, taking up real space, and making real change. So… what's your big idea? If you're feeling inspired (and I hope you are), Jess has a free resource to help you start articulating your own bold, impact-driven message. Her BOLT Assessment walks you through each pillar—bold, original, loud, and tenacious—so you can see exactly where you need to crank up the volume on your thought leadership. And when you're ready to take that voice to LinkedIn? You know I've got you. Download my free LinkedIn Visibility Checklist. Let's get your message in front of the people who need to hear it. This Episode is For You If… You know there's more to your business than making money—you want to make a difference You've been hiding your voice because it feels “too much” or “too risky” You want to get on more stages, podcasts, or panels—but you're not sure what your “big idea” is You're tired of staying quiet and ready to be seen, heard, and paid for your brilliance Magical Quotes from the Episode: Jessica Sato: “What in the world could change if you actually said what you want to say?” “If your message doesn't make you squirm a little, it's not bold enough.” “Your business already has a social impact. The question is: are you choosing what it is?” Karen Yankovich: “It's not the strangers I'm worried about hearing my message—it's the people who know me.” “We can't be silent. I don't know what's going to happen if we speak up—but I do know what happens if we don't.” “I believe women with money can change the world. And it's never been more important than it is right now.” Resources Mentioned In This Episode: Check out Jessica's website for her BOLT Assessment and connect with her on socials: Facebook Instagram LinkedIn Don't forget to grab my free LinkedIn Visibility Checklist. Welcome back to the Good Girls Get Rich podcast. I'm Karen Yankovich, and if you've ever caught yourself side-eyeing your LinkedIn profile thinking, “Wait... is this thing even doing anything for me?”—then this episode is your love note from the universe. We're not here to play small anymore. This episode is for the brilliant, successful, wildly capable women who are still—somehow—invisible online. You're out there doing the most, changing lives, delivering real transformation… and still? People are hiring the other guy because they found them first. Let's change that. Starting today. #GoodGirlsGetRich We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. About The Episode: This episode is less “LinkedIn tips” and more about taking your power back. Because your LinkedIn profile? It's not a resume. It's not a digital business card. It is your virtual storefront, your authority anchor, your invitation to opportunity. And if you're not fully owning that space… you're leaving money, influence, and impact on the table. I'm not okay with that. Not anymore. In this episode, I'm breaking down how ONE powerful, personal-brand-aligned LinkedIn profile can bring in $100K+ in revenue. And no, you don't need a massive following. You don't need to post three times a day. You don't need to dance on Reels. (Unless you want to.
Welcome back to Good Girls Get Rich. I'm your host, Karen Yankovich, and today, I want you to really hear this: It is time for women to stop playing small. This episode is not just another conversation about business growth or personal branding. This is about power. This is about financial independence. And this is about finally stepping up and taking what is already meant for you. Women are still earning half a trillion dollars less than men for the same work. Let that sink in for a minute. It's an infuriating statistic, but here's the thing—I don't waste my energy being frustrated. Instead, I see it as half a trillion dollars in opportunity. It's time for more women to claim their share of that wealth and use it to create impact, build legacies, and change the world. But here's the hard truth: We are holding ourselves back. Too many women hesitate to charge what they're worth. Too many women wait until they check every box before applying for that leadership role or pitching themselves for that major opportunity. Too many women undervalue their expertise and downplay their skills. That stops today. What You'll Learn in This Episode: Why the wealth gap is really a power gap – and why women need to get comfortable with the idea of power How visibility equals opportunity – and why getting featured in the media, being active on LinkedIn, and leveraging PR are game-changers The real reason high-ticket offers are your fast track to financial freedom – and why it's actually easier to sell one $25,000 offer than ten $2,500 offers The magnetic power of personal branding – and how to position yourself as the go-to expert in your industry How to step into a wealth mindset in 2025 – and finally break free from the cycles of burnout, undercharging, and second-guessing The Visibility Factor: Why You Need to Be Seen to Be Hired One of the biggest challenges I see among brilliant, successful women is their lack of visibility. They are experts, leaders, and thought pioneers, but no one knows who they are. And in today's world, if people don't see you, they can't hire you. Think about the most influential people in your industry. Chances are, you've seen them in Forbes, Entrepreneur, on top podcasts, or speaking on major stages. That didn't happen by accident. They positioned themselves for those opportunities. They put themselves in rooms where their expertise was recognized. I've had clients land six-figure consulting deals just from a single podcast interview because that interview positioned them as the go-to expert in their field. I've seen women struggling to attract clients suddenly start closing $20,000 deals because a media feature gave them credibility. I've had my own business explode from the power of visibility and credibility. And here's the key: It's not about being more qualified. It's about being seen. You already have the expertise. Now, it's time to make sure the right people know about it. The Truth About High-Ticket Offers and Why You Need One Another major shift women need to make is elevating their pricing and positioning. Selling low-cost services or charging hourly rates keeps you stuck in a cycle of exhaustion. The reality is, it is no harder to sell a $25,000 offer than it is to sell ten $2,500 offers. In fact, it's often easier. When you position yourself at a premium level, you attract clients who immediately see your value. You stop convincing people to hire you and start stepping into a space where people already trust your expertise and are willing to invest in it. And let's be clear: This is not about overcharging. This is about creating an offer that massively over-delivers on value. I live by a simple rule in my business: If I charge someone $1, I need to know that the value they're getting is worth at least $10. If I charge $1,000, I need to know they'll walk away with at least $10,000 in impact. If I charge $100,000, I need to know they'll gain a million dollars in value from it. This is the mindset shift that will take you from struggling to thriving. It's Time to Step Into the Wealth You Deserve If you are feeling that pull inside of you—the knowing that you are meant for more—this is your sign to step up. We are in a world where the only thing we can truly count on is ourselves. If you're not making the kind of money that will change your life and your family's future, it's time to change the way you approach visibility, authority, and pricing. That's why I created She's LinkedUp – Reignite & Rise Up. This program is built for women who are ready to be seen, respected, and paid like the experts they are. The doors are officially open, and if you're ready to take that next step, here's what to do next: DM me “READY” on LinkedIn or Instagram. Let's have a conversation about how you can finally break through and start making more money with ease. Check out the program details at She's LinkedUp. This new version is the most powerful we've ever created, and I can't wait for you to experience it. Share this episode with a woman who needs to hear it. If you tag me when you share it, I'll make sure to amplify your voice and get you more visibility in the process. Because that's how we rise—together. This is your time. This is your year. Let's make 2025 the year you finally claim the wealth, influence, and impact you deserve. I'll see you on the inside. Magical Quotes From the Episode: "Women are still earning half a trillion dollars less than men for the same work. But instead of getting frustrated, I see that as half a trillion dollars in opportunity. It's time to claim our share." – Karen Yankovich "If people don't see you, they can't hire you. Visibility isn't about ego—it's about positioning yourself for the opportunities that will change your life." – Karen Yankovich "It is no harder to sell a $25,000 offer than it is to sell ten $2,500 offers. When you elevate your pricing and positioning, you attract clients who already see your value." – Karen Yankovich "Women hesitate to use the word ‘power,' but here's the truth—when we have wealth, we have influence. And when women have influence, the world changes for the better." – Karen Yankovich

And that's exactly what we're diving into today. #GoodGirlsGetRich We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. Episode Highlights: Why women entrepreneurs are feeling more exhausted than ever (hello, social media treadmill!) The secret to getting off that constant content hamster wheel. Why lowering your prices or taking on draining clients is NOT the answer. The mindset shifts you need to break through that income plateau. My proven 3-part formula for wealth with ease: High-Ticket Offers + LinkedIn Positioning + Media Visibility. Why LinkedIn is still THE goldmine for women ready to level up. How PR accelerates your wealth and magnetizes high-value clients straight to your inbox. This Is YOUR Year to Rise Up I've been there. I've done the hustle, I've hit the burnout wall, and I've wondered, “Is it me? Am I not cut out for this?” Spoiler alert: It's NOT you. It's the system. And it's time we break it. What worked in 2019? It's not working in 2025. The women I work with are winning because they've shifted. They've built high-ticket offers that allow them to serve at their highest level. They're showing up powerfully on LinkedIn, not just posting for the algorithm but making real connections. And they're leveraging PR—getting featured on podcasts, in media, and on TV—to elevate their authority and attract dream clients. My Signature Wealth with Ease Formula: High-Ticket Offers – Stop undercharging. Serve fewer clients, overdeliver, and build wealth without burnout. LinkedIn Positioning – It's not about posting every day. It's about positioning yourself as the go-to expert and building strategic relationships. Media & PR Visibility – When you're featured in the media, your credibility skyrockets. Dream clients come to you ready to invest. Ready to Stop Playing Small?
