Welcome to Episode 310 of the Good Girls Get Rich Podcast and I'm your host, Karen Yankovich. You know those conversations that leave your soul lit up and your mind spinning—in the best way? That's what today's episode is. #GoodGirlsGetRich We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. About This Episode & Highlights: I had the absolute joy of sitting down with my friend, fellow Entrepreneurs Unfiltered co-host, and powerhouse Social Impact + Big Idea Coach, Jess Sato, for a deep, juicy conversation about something I don't think we talk about nearly enough: What it really means to take a stand in your business—and why it matters now more than ever. Because here's the thing, friend… your business already is making an impact. The question is—is it the impact you want to be making? In this conversation, Jess and I unpack the hidden (and not-so-hidden) power of social impact branding, what it looks like to weave your values into your message, and why this “new era” of entrepreneurship is less about perfection… and more about purpose. “Your silence is not neutral." Let's be real: we were raised in a world that told us to keep things polite. Don't talk about politics, religion, or money at the dinner table. Just do good work and stay in your lane. But that's not the world we live in anymore. And honestly? That old advice is keeping too many brilliant women invisible. Jess breaks this down beautifully—reminding us that we can't afford to stay quiet anymore. If we care about creating a better world (and I know you do), then our businesses need to reflect that. People want to buy from women who stand for something. Who say the bold thing. Who show up fully aligned. And when you do that? You're not just creating revenue. You're creating ripples. “If your message doesn't make you squirm a little… it's not bold enough.” Yes, Jess said that. And I wanted to stand up and clap. Whether you're updating your LinkedIn headline or pitching yourself to speak on a stage, your message should stretch you. Jess walks us through her signature BOLT methodology—Bold, Original, Loud, and Tenacious—and I swear, it's like she was reading the minds of every woman who's ever asked, “Is it okay for me to say this?” Here's what BOLT really means: Bold: It should make your heart race a little. Bold ideas challenge the status quo. Original: Your story, your experience, your point of view—that's your secret sauce. Loud: Are you saying what everyone else is saying… or are you cutting through the noise Tenacious: The magic doesn't happen overnight. We need to stick with it, even when it's uncomfortable. This framework is a game changer for women who know they're meant to be seen. Who are ready to go from "best-kept secret" to category of one. Your values are your brand now. Period. One of the most powerful parts of this conversation was Jess's take on how younger generations (especially Gen Z and Millennials) are making buying decisions. Did you know that over 85% of consumers from these generations choose brands based on shared values—and stick with them for the same reason? Jess put it simply: "People want to know who they're doing business with." And let's be clear—you don't have to be divisive or controversial to take a stand. You just have to be honest. Say what matters to you. Share why you started your business. Talk about what breaks your heart and fires you up. That's what builds trust. That's what turns listeners into clients and followers into fans. Why women staying quiet is the real risk I opened up to Jess about the fear that comes up when we start sharing our message out loud—especially when the people hearing it are friends, family, or former coworkers. And I know I'm not alone. For so many of us, it's not the internet trolls or anonymous followers we're worried about. It's the people who know us. What will they think? Will they still support me? Jess's answer? “What in the world could change if you actually said what you want to say?” Whew. Read that again. Because the truth is, your message matters. There's someone out there—probably right now—waiting to hear your story. And when you finally say it out loud, you give them permission to rise too. This is what leadership looks like in 2025. Not just revenue goals or polished branding. But real voices, taking up real space, and making real change. So… what's your big idea? If you're feeling inspired (and I hope you are), Jess has a free resource to help you start articulating your own bold, impact-driven message. Her BOLT Assessment walks you through each pillar—bold, original, loud, and tenacious—so you can see exactly where you need to crank up the volume on your thought leadership. And when you're ready to take that voice to LinkedIn? You know I've got you. Download my free LinkedIn Visibility Checklist. Let's get your message in front of the people who need to hear it. This Episode is For You If… You know there's more to your business than making money—you want to make a difference You've been hiding your voice because it feels “too much” or “too risky” You want to get on more stages, podcasts, or panels—but you're not sure what your “big idea” is You're tired of staying quiet and ready to be seen, heard, and paid for your brilliance Magical Quotes from the Episode: Jessica Sato: “What in the world could change if you actually said what you want to say?” “If your message doesn't make you squirm a little, it's not bold enough.” “Your business already has a social impact. The question is: are you choosing what it is?” Karen Yankovich: “It's not the strangers I'm worried about hearing my message—it's the people who know me.” “We can't be silent. I don't know what's going to happen if we speak up—but I do know what happens if we don't.” “I believe women with money can change the world. And it's never been more important than it is right now.” Resources Mentioned In This Episode: Check out Jessica's website for her BOLT Assessment and connect with her on socials: Facebook Instagram LinkedIn Don't forget to grab my free LinkedIn Visibility Checklist. Welcome back to the Good Girls Get Rich podcast. I'm your host, Karen Yankovich. This week's episode of Good Girls Get Rich is a little different. It's softer. It's deeper. And honestly? It might be exactly what your nervous system is craving. Because here's the thing: we are all holding a lot right now. And if you're a high-achieving woman with a big mission, you probably feel like you're carrying the weight of the world in heels, with a smile, while posting about it all on LinkedIn. Sound familiar? This episode is a permission slip to stop the madness. #GoodGirlsGetRich We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. About The Episode: Here's what we're diving into today: Why grace and ease aren't just self-care trends—they're magnetic strategies for building real, sustainable wealth and thought leadership The myth of “doing it all” (and how letting that go creates space for you to receive more of what truly matters) The emotional toll of keeping up in a noisy, chaotic world—and the boundaries you must set to protect your peace and your power A step-by-step breakdown of the six practices I use to build ease into my life and business (without sacrificing impact) The game-changing realization that rest, softness, and slow mornings are not weaknesses—they are superpowers in the Empowerment Era This isn't about checking out of your ambition. This is about checking back in with your alignment. When you honor your rhythms... when you protect your energy... when you say “no” without guilt and schedule buffer time like it's your job? That's when the real magic starts to happen. That's when LinkedIn messages turn into high-ticket contracts, when podcast interviews magnetize new clients, and when your calendar starts to feel like a reflection of your soul—not your to-do list. I'm also gifting you something really special at the end of this episode—a short guided reflection you can come back to anytime you need a reset. Whether you're listening at your desk or walking around the block, this is your moment to breathe, ground, and remember who you really are. Let's talk real talk: You don't have to earn your worth through exhaustion. You don't have to hustle to be credible. And you certainly don't have to run yourself ragged to build a business that leaves a legacy. Grace is not weakness. Grace is strategy. Ease is not indulgence. Ease is alignment. The most successful, magnetic, and wealthy women I know? They're not running on fumes. They're running on clarity. So if you've been feeling stretched, overwhelmed, or just plain tired… I recorded this one for you. Let's take your foot off the gas (just for a minute) and reconnect with the version of you who leads with calm confidence—because she's already in there. Let's go deeper: Ready to build a business rooted in peace and profit? Take my LinkedIn quiz and get a custom visualization based on your unique energy type. Welcome to Episode 308 of the Good Girls Get Rich Podcast and I'm your host, Karen Yankovich. What if the story you've been hiding is actually your superpower? In this week's episode of the Good Girls Get Rich podcast, I sit down with the incredible Celi Arias — CEO of Grown Ass Business — and we dive deep into what it really takes to build a business that not only survives… but scales with integrity. ✨ Spoiler alert: It's NOT about chasing shiny funnels or working 18-hour days. #GoodGirlsGetRich We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. About This Episode & Highlights: Celi's journey is as real as it gets. From managing multiple businesses in Argentina to a moment of true reinvention (yes, sleeping on the floor of her sewing studio kind of reinvention), she cracked the code on what it means to build a strong foundation in business. Her "Get Ahead in Business" methodology is one part business school, one part rebel truth-teller, and all about making sure you stop spinning your wheels and start thinking like a CEO. In this episode, we talk about: Why your business feels chaotic (even when you think you're doing it all right) The 5 key growth systems every business must have (hint: you're probably missing a few) What it really means to wear “all the hats” — and why that's a myth How to reframe your failed ventures into data-driven wisdom The mindset shift every entrepreneur must make if they want to scale sustainably Celi doesn't sugarcoat. She brings receipts. And her story is proof that you don't need to be anyone other than your brilliant, messy, determined self to rise up. Key Takeaways: Listen now if you're... Tired of duct-taping your business together with freebies and guesswork Feeling like you're missing something but not sure what Craving a grounded, intelligent approach to building a 7-figure company (without burnout) Ready to stop proving your worth and start owning your CEO seat Join the conversation: Share this episode and tag me @karenyankovich and Celi @celigrowsbusiness. Magical Quotes from the Episode: Celi Arias: “You're not wearing all the hats — you're just wearing the one you're good at and hoping the rest work themselves out.” “The real job of a business coach is to condense time — because you're either going to run out of money or run out of faith in yourself.” “Strategy is the easy part. The hard part is not falling into the trap of ‘I must suck' when something stops working.” Karen Yankovich: “If anybody out there had a path to success that was a ladder instead of a rollercoaster, I want to hear from you!” “All the strategy in the world won't work if you haven't done the mindset work. We're asking people to be someone they've never been before.” “What worked in business two years ago is not working anymore — and that doesn't mean you're broken. It means it's time to shift.” Resources Mentioned In This Episode: Make sure to check out Celi's website and connect with her on socials: Instagram LinkedIn Help Us Spread The Word! Welcome back to the Good Girls Get Rich podcast. I'm Karen Yankovich, and if you've ever caught yourself side-eyeing your LinkedIn profile thinking, “Wait... is this thing even doing anything for me?”—then this episode is your love note from the universe. We're not here to play small anymore. This episode is for the brilliant, successful, wildly capable women who are still—somehow—invisible online. You're out there doing the most, changing lives, delivering real transformation… and still? People are hiring the other guy because they found them first. Let's change that. Starting today. #GoodGirlsGetRich We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. About The Episode: This episode is less “LinkedIn tips” and more about taking your power back. Because your LinkedIn profile? It's not a resume. It's not a digital business card. It is your virtual storefront, your authority anchor, your invitation to opportunity. And if you're not fully owning that space… you're leaving money, influence, and impact on the table. I'm not okay with that. Not anymore. In this episode, I'm breaking down how ONE powerful, personal-brand-aligned LinkedIn profile can bring in $100K+ in revenue. And no, you don't need a massive following. You don't need to post three times a day. You don't need to dance on Reels. (Unless you want to.
Welcome back to Good Girls Get Rich. I'm your host, Karen Yankovich, and today, I want you to really hear this: It is time for women to stop playing small. This episode is not just another conversation about business growth or personal branding. This is about power. This is about financial independence. And this is about finally stepping up and taking what is already meant for you. Women are still earning half a trillion dollars less than men for the same work. Let that sink in for a minute. It's an infuriating statistic, but here's the thing—I don't waste my energy being frustrated. Instead, I see it as half a trillion dollars in opportunity. It's time for more women to claim their share of that wealth and use it to create impact, build legacies, and change the world. But here's the hard truth: We are holding ourselves back. Too many women hesitate to charge what they're worth. Too many women wait until they check every box before applying for that leadership role or pitching themselves for that major opportunity. Too many women undervalue their expertise and downplay their skills. That stops today. What You'll Learn in This Episode: Why the wealth gap is really a power gap – and why women need to get comfortable with the idea of power How visibility equals opportunity – and why getting featured in the media, being active on LinkedIn, and leveraging PR are game-changers The real reason high-ticket offers are your fast track to financial freedom – and why it's actually easier to sell one $25,000 offer than ten $2,500 offers The magnetic power of personal branding – and how to position yourself as the go-to expert in your industry How to step into a wealth mindset in 2025 – and finally break free from the cycles of burnout, undercharging, and second-guessing The Visibility Factor: Why You Need to Be Seen to Be Hired One of the biggest challenges I see among brilliant, successful women is their lack of visibility. They are experts, leaders, and thought pioneers, but no one knows who they are. And in today's world, if people don't see you, they can't hire you. Think about the most influential people in your industry. Chances are, you've seen them in Forbes, Entrepreneur, on top podcasts, or speaking on major stages. That didn't happen by accident. They positioned themselves for those opportunities. They put themselves in rooms where their expertise was recognized. I've had clients land six-figure consulting deals just from a single podcast interview because that interview positioned them as the go-to expert in their field. I've seen women struggling to attract clients suddenly start closing $20,000 deals because a media feature gave them credibility. I've had my own business explode from the power of visibility and credibility. And here's the key: It's not about being more qualified. It's about being seen. You already have the expertise. Now, it's time to make sure the right people know about it. The Truth About High-Ticket Offers and Why You Need One Another major shift women need to make is elevating their pricing and positioning. Selling low-cost services or charging hourly rates keeps you stuck in a cycle of exhaustion. The reality is, it is no harder to sell a $25,000 offer than it is to sell ten $2,500 offers. In fact, it's often easier. When you position yourself at a premium level, you attract clients who immediately see your value. You stop convincing people to hire you and start stepping into a space where people already trust your expertise and are willing to invest in it. And let's be clear: This is not about overcharging. This is about creating an offer that massively over-delivers on value. I live by a simple rule in my business: If I charge someone $1, I need to know that the value they're getting is worth at least $10. If I charge $1,000, I need to know they'll walk away with at least $10,000 in impact. If I charge $100,000, I need to know they'll gain a million dollars in value from it. This is the mindset shift that will take you from struggling to thriving. It's Time to Step Into the Wealth You Deserve If you are feeling that pull inside of you—the knowing that you are meant for more—this is your sign to step up. We are in a world where the only thing we can truly count on is ourselves. If you're not making the kind of money that will change your life and your family's future, it's time to change the way you approach visibility, authority, and pricing. That's why I created She's LinkedUp – Reignite & Rise Up. This program is built for women who are ready to be seen, respected, and paid like the experts they are. The doors are officially open, and if you're ready to take that next step, here's what to do next: DM me “READY” on LinkedIn or Instagram. Let's have a conversation about how you can finally break through and start making more money with ease. Check out the program details at She's LinkedUp. This new version is the most powerful we've ever created, and I can't wait for you to experience it. Share this episode with a woman who needs to hear it. If you tag me when you share it, I'll make sure to amplify your voice and get you more visibility in the process. Because that's how we rise—together. This is your time. This is your year. Let's make 2025 the year you finally claim the wealth, influence, and impact you deserve. I'll see you on the inside. Magical Quotes From the Episode: "Women are still earning half a trillion dollars less than men for the same work. But instead of getting frustrated, I see that as half a trillion dollars in opportunity. It's time to claim our share." – Karen Yankovich "If people don't see you, they can't hire you. Visibility isn't about ego—it's about positioning yourself for the opportunities that will change your life." – Karen Yankovich "It is no harder to sell a $25,000 offer than it is to sell ten $2,500 offers. When you elevate your pricing and positioning, you attract clients who already see your value." – Karen Yankovich "Women hesitate to use the word ‘power,' but here's the truth—when we have wealth, we have influence. And when women have influence, the world changes for the better." – Karen Yankovich
Welcome to Good Girls Get Rich! I'm your host, Karen Yankovich and let me tell you—this episode? It's a little bit of a Jersey girl rant, but you are going to love it. This is your WAKE-UP CALL, because 2025 is the year we stop playing small, my friend. If you've been hustling, grinding, doing #AllTheThings, and still feeling stuck—this is for YOU. You deserve clients who pay you what you're worth. You deserve to be seen as the expert you already are. You deserve money that flows to you with ease—not burnout. And that's exactly what we're diving into today. #GoodGirlsGetRich We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. Episode Highlights: Why women entrepreneurs are feeling more exhausted than ever (hello, social media treadmill!) The secret to getting off that constant content hamster wheel. Why lowering your prices or taking on draining clients is NOT the answer. The mindset shifts you need to break through that income plateau. My proven 3-part formula for wealth with ease: High-Ticket Offers + LinkedIn Positioning + Media Visibility. Why LinkedIn is still THE goldmine for women ready to level up. How PR accelerates your wealth and magnetizes high-value clients straight to your inbox. This Is YOUR Year to Rise Up I've been there. I've done the hustle, I've hit the burnout wall, and I've wondered, “Is it me? Am I not cut out for this?” Spoiler alert: It's NOT you. It's the system. And it's time we break it. What worked in 2019? It's not working in 2025. The women I work with are winning because they've shifted. They've built high-ticket offers that allow them to serve at their highest level. They're showing up powerfully on LinkedIn, not just posting for the algorithm but making real connections. And they're leveraging PR—getting featured on podcasts, in media, and on TV—to elevate their authority and attract dream clients. My Signature Wealth with Ease Formula: High-Ticket Offers – Stop undercharging. Serve fewer clients, overdeliver, and build wealth without burnout. LinkedIn Positioning – It's not about posting every day. It's about positioning yourself as the go-to expert and building strategic relationships. Media & PR Visibility – When you're featured in the media, your credibility skyrockets. Dream clients come to you ready to invest. Ready to Stop Playing Small? Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. Episode Highlights: Your personal brand is the key to business growth in 2025 and beyond—it's not just for influencers! Whether you're an entrepreneur, consultant, speaker, author, corporate executive, or real estate agent, your brand dictates how much trust, credibility, and income you generate. Visibility is currency. If people don't know you exist, they can't hire you, buy from you, or invite you to speak on their stage. LinkedIn and PR are your biggest allies in this new era of marketing. People trust people, not companies. 93% of consumers are more likely to buy from a company when its CEO publicly shares their values. And this doesn't just apply to CEOs—if you're a coach, consultant, or executive, YOUR brand is what people connect with. Overcoming the fear of being seen. Imposter syndrome, perfectionism, or fear of judgment keeping you stuck? You're not alone. But the truth is, people buy from leaders who show up, not the ones who wait until everything is perfect. How to start TODAY. Stop overthinking and start building your LinkedIn presence, PR opportunities, and credibility. I'll walk you through simple, actionable steps that will help you get visible without spending hours on social media. Final Thoughts: Why LinkedIn & PR Are the Ultimate Visibility Tools Fact: 83% of employees prefer to work for a company whose executives are active on social media—and LinkedIn is where professionals hang out. So, what does that mean for you? It means that your LinkedIn profile isn't just a resume—it's your digital first impression. It means that engaging on LinkedIn opens doors to new partnerships, media opportunities, and clients. It means that getting featured in articles, podcasts, and industry panels builds credibility faster than any ad campaign ever could. If you're serious about growing your coaching business, consulting practice, real estate brand, or executive presence, you MUST be leveraging LinkedIn and PR. Magical Quotes from the Episode: Karen Yankovich "Your personal brand isn't optional—it's your most powerful business growth accelerator. If people don't know you exist, they can't hire you, buy from you, or invite you to speak on their stage." "People trust people, not companies. If you're not putting yourself out there, you're missing opportunities—visibility leads to credibility, and credibility leads to sales." "Stop waiting for the perfect moment to build your brand. The right time is NOW. The longer you stay invisible, the more opportunities you leave on the table." "Your personal brand is what sets you apart—it's not just about what you do, but about who you are, what you stand for, and how you show up in the world." That's why I was thrilled to sit down with Karen Yankovich, a LinkedIn marketing strategist and the creator of the She's Linked Up podcast. Karen's expertise in leveraging LinkedIn for business growth is unparalleled, and her passion for helping women entrepreneurs succeed is truly inspiring. In our conversation, Karen shared her journey from corporate America to entrepreneurship and how she discovered the power of LinkedIn for building meaningful business relationships. We discussed how custom frame shop owners can use LinkedIn to connect with designers, art curators, and other professionals in the design industry. Karen's insights on creating a solid online presence and using LinkedIn as a tool for thought leadership were eye-opening, especially for those of us in creative, visual businesses. Key Takeaways LinkedIn isn't just for corporate types - it's a powerful tool for creative entrepreneurs and small business owners Your LinkedIn profile is your online brand. Leverage its impact with media, keywords, and a clear message about your expertise Don't overlook your existing network. Reach out to reconnect when you update your profile. Focus on quality over quantity in your LinkedIn connections. Aim for meaningful conversations rather than a large number of contacts Use LinkedIn to build relationships with journalists, podcast hosts, and other media professionals, increasing your visibility and credibility Karen's approach to LinkedIn strategy is refreshingly simple and human-centered. She emphasizes building genuine relationships rather than chasing algorithms or vanity metrics. For frame shop owners and other creative entrepreneurs, this means showcasing our work visually on LinkedIn and connecting with potential collaborators in our local communities and beyond. I particularly appreciated Karen's emphasis on women's empowerment and financial independence. Her belief that "more wealthy women in this world can change the world" resonated deeply with me as a female business owner. It's a reminder that our success isn't just about us - it's about creating opportunities and choices for ourselves and future generations. Whether you're new to LinkedIn or looking to polish your existing profile, these five steps will help you maximize your presence and leverage LinkedIn to its fullest potential. Episode Highlights 1. Optimize Your Featured Section Why It's Important: The featured section is a prime spot to showcase your most important content. It's a visual highlight reel of your professional achievements and key resources. How to Use It: Add links to your website, PDFs, recent podcasts, or a call-to-action like booking a call with you. Keep it focused with only 2-3 items to avoid overwhelming viewers. 2. How to Do It: Make sure your URL includes your name, not your business name, to maintain a personal touch. Simple instructions can be found with a quick Google search. 3. Give and Receive Endorsements and Recommendations Why It's Important: Endorsements and recommendations build credibility and enhance your profile's visibility in LinkedIn searches. How to Do It: Take time to endorse skills and write recommendations for others. This not only helps them but often results in reciprocal endorsements for you. Focus on endorsing skills you want to be known for. 4. Utilize the Services Section Why It's Important: Listing your services helps potential clients quickly understand what you offer and makes your profile searchable for those services. How to Do It: If you have LinkedIn Sales Navigator or Premium, you can detail your services more extensively. At a minimum, ensure your core services are listed. 5. Reconnect with Your Network Why It's Important: Reconnecting with past contacts can lead to new opportunities and strengthen existing relationships. How to Do It: Regularly review your connections and reach out to individuals with whom you've lost touch. Personalize your messages and look for mutual benefits. Action Steps Featured Section: Add or update your LinkedIn featured section today. URL Customization: Ensure your LinkedIn URL is customized with your name. LinkedIn Endorsements and Recommendations: Write two recommendations and endorse five skills today. Services Section: Update and optimize your services section. Reconnect: Spend 10 minutes three times a week reaching out to your network. With nearly two decades in corporate, a Mechanical Engineering degree, a Six Sigma Black Belt, and an MBA, she's a true powerhouse! Candy's journey from corporate to empowering leaders and using human design is super inspiring. She's all about aligning personal and professional growth and bringing a heart-centered approach to leadership. What is Human Design? So, what exactly is human design? It's this fascinating system that combines astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, and the Chakras to map out our unique energy types. There are five main types – Manifestors, Generators, Manifesting Generators, Projectors, and Reflectors. Each one of us fits into one of these categories. I dive into my own journey with human design. I've always loved astrology and the mystical stuff, but human design felt especially validating and just clicked with my experiences. Challenges for Projectors in Business Projectors, like me, are supposed to wait for invitations, which can be tricky in a business world where you're expected to go-get-go! Candy shares how projectors can become so magnetic and visible that invitations naturally come their way. It's about creating a strong personal brand and showcasing your expertise. I chat about the challenge of balancing lead generation with waiting for invitations. Candy's insights on how projectors can attract the right opportunities without the traditional hustle are game-changing. Magnetic Marketing and the Energy of Visibility We talk about how marketing has changed. Techniques like webinars and Facebook ads just don't cut it anymore. I share my take on using LinkedIn and PR to create a magnetic profile that draws clients in naturally. And guess what? I've started a new initiative called the Energy of Visibility to help professionals harness their energy to attract opportunities effortlessly. Navigating the Changing Energies Candy talks about the massive global energy shifts happening as we move from the Cross of Planning to the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix. This new cycle emphasizes divine feminine qualities like intuition and individualized success, requiring a fresh approach to leadership. Practical Steps for Projectors Candy advises projectors to figure out where they're feeling depleted and find ways to refill their tanks. It's all about self-care, setting boundaries, and prioritizing well-being. Projectors, it's time to get visible and share your truth! Don't wait for an invite – let your voice be heard on social platforms. Stay aligned and resourceful so you're ready to grab the right opportunities when they come your way. The Future of Leadership and Business Candy emphasizes the need to adapt to these new energies with leadership styles that prioritize well-being and alignment. We discuss how crucial it is for lightworkers and healers to step into leadership roles and build visibility to make a broader impact. Connect with Candy Barone Want to keep up with Joanne's journey? Show Notes and Video: View the show notes Watch the episode Magical Quotes from the Episode: Joanne Bolt: On the power of podcasting: "Every skill set that I had as a real estate agent translated over into podcasting, different languages, different terminologies, but the same concept of running your own business." On starting a podcast: "Your first 10 episodes are gonna suck. So embrace the suck, it is okay. Please just start recording and get out there. And don't worry about being perfect on your first 10." On monetizing a podcast: "I call it the affiliate non-affiliate strategy. I was an affiliate for some products like Kajabi. I just recorded a little mid-blurb and created a landing page with my affiliate link. It actually added up over time." Karen Yankovich: On podcasting's impact on business: "It's never been monetized via sponsors. It's always been monetized via driving people to my own products and services. And that is where it's so valuable for me." On the importance of alignment: "There needs to be some kind of consistent content every week. If you're running an online business, or if you're marketing yourself online, you do need to have some consistent fresh content every week." On the evolution of podcasting: "You may start out thinking you're going to talk about LinkedIn. And the next thing you know, you are an expert on a certain piece of LinkedIn, or using LinkedIn for something else, because you keep talking about it." Hello, hello, and welcome to the Good Girls Get Rich Podcast! I'm Karen Yankovich, your host, and today we're diving into a topic I'm incredibly passionate about: the transformative power of investing in your personal brand, especially in a market that's changing faster than ever. Embracing the Shift in Marketing Trends Let's face it, the marketing world has flipped on its head! What used to work like a charm is now old news. Those low-ticket funnels? They're just not cutting it anymore. But here's the thing: while we may not always know what the market is changing to, there's one thing we can always count on – the value of our personal brand. Your Personal Brand is Your Anchor Amidst all the chaos and uncertainty, your personal brand is your anchor. It's the one constant you can rely on to navigate through these turbulent times. When you invest in your personal brand, you're not just securing your present; you're paving the way for future success, no matter what the market throws your way. Building Credibility Through Your Personal Brand Your personal brand is your most valuable asset. It's not just about what you do, but who you are and what you stand for. By enhancing your LinkedIn profile and showcasing your journey, achievements, and values, you can significantly boost your credibility. This makes you more attractive to potential clients and employers who are looking for authenticity and reliability. Aligning Your Brand with Your Values In today's world, visibility comes with responsibility. It's crucial to align your brand with your core values and be transparent about them. People want to know who they're doing business with, and sharing your values builds trust and deepens your connection with your audience. Overcoming Imposter Syndrome Let's talk about imposter syndrome. It's real, and it's something we all face, no matter how successful we are. But here's the deal: recognize it, manage it, and don't let it hold you back. Push through those feelings of doubt and step into your power. Your personal brand will only get stronger as you do. Networking and PR: Elevating Your Personal Brand Networking and public relations are key to elevating your personal brand. Building meaningful connections and leveraging PR opportunities can propel your visibility and credibility to new heights. It's about creating deeper, more personal connections that resonate with your audience. Actionable Steps to Strengthen Your Personal Brand Invest in Your Personal Brand: Start by enhancing your LinkedIn profile to reflect your journey, achievements, and values. Episode Description This week's episode of Good Girls Get Rich is brought to you by Uplevel Media CEO and LinkedIn expert, Karen Yankovich. Karen here with your shownotes from my recent conversation with Amber McCue on the Good Girls Get Rich podcast. Key Takeaways: Amber has run multiple businesses while living all over the world, from Ethiopia to Chicago to Cote d'Ivoire to California, thanks to her husband's job in the Foreign Service. She's an expert at designing businesses to run from anywhere. The landscape of online business and marketing is rapidly changing. We have to carve out time to re-evaluate how we're connecting with customers and adapt. What worked before may not work now. As CEOs and business owners, we need to focus less on high-volume productivity and more on vision, strategy and creativity. Having systems, team and structure in place gives you that space. Amber teaches the "how to clone yourself" methodology - finding someone to offset your strengths/weaknesses and multiply your efforts so you're not doing everything yourself. It's about streamlining your engine. There's been a shift in online education from long pre-recorded video courses to more interactive, consultative experiences that give real-time support. People need customized help fast when issues come up. As an entrepreneur, surround yourself with advisors so you have people to turn to when you make mistakes. Learn from it, pivot and find a new strategy. Failure is just a stepping stone. Amber has some exciting events coming up - a free Modern CEO training and her annual Plan-a-thon strategic planning event in the fall. Check the shownotes for details! My top insight was how important it is to be adaptable right now. Be willing to let go of old ways of doing things and stay tapped into how your market is evolving. Get support and keep that bigger picture in mind as a leader. Let me know your biggest aha moment! And be sure to connect with Amber at ambermccue.com. Talk to you next week! Show Notes and Video: View the show notes Watch the episode Magical Quotes from the Episode: "If you don't have time, if you're just producing all the time, on an old way of connecting with clients, on an old way of doing things, man, we're gonna get left behind." - Amber McCue "You've got to be able to connect with your clients where they are showing up, right?" - Amber McCue "I would rather pay for help than pay for mistakes." - Karen Yankovich "Referrals are happening on LinkedIn. So that's one of the reasons why. And really, I work really hard to help tailor what we do to make it as timeless marketing as possible." - Karen Yankovich "As we change, you know, there's we can pivot and I'm here for that, Amber's here for that. So reach out to either of us. We got you." - Karen Yankovich "We are taught to be great employees, right? We'll crank it out, productivity. I'm gonna have a mindset of like me coming up early in my career and like, I can get a lot done... So we're taught to produce, but when we step into that CEO level, role and owner role and to really get the freedom, you got to stop the high levels of productivity, and you've got to shift how you get productivity and think about the future." "The idea of cloning yourself is so fun. It's that feeling that man, I wish I had a clone, I wish there was someone who could help with this, I wish I can multiply my efforts, multiply my results." Today, we're diving into how to use your LinkedIn profile to set yourself apart as a TRUE authority in your field. It's time to ditch the typical resume-focused energy and instead create a profile that positions you powerfully as the thought leader you're meant to be. Here's the deal - if you want to attract more influence, impact and income in your next chapter, you've got to own your expertise on LinkedIn. It starts with these key areas: Your Headline This is your billboard to the world! Tell us who you are, who you help, and the remarkable results you create. Infuse it with the keywords you want to be known for as an authority. Push past the discomfort and really claim your genius here. You're a leader, not a follower. Your "About" Section Forget the boring professional bio. You have a story that's made you the expert you are today - tell it here in an engaging way! Give us your unique perspective and hard-won wisdom. Paint the picture of how you're changing the game in your industry. Sprinkle in those power keywords that help the right people find you. cap it off with a clear call to take the next step with you - you're the authority, lead the way. Your Experience Section LinkedIn isn't just a resume repository. Use this section to highlight the experiences that have shaped you into the thought leader you are now. Get creative and selective - align past roles with the authority brand you're building today. Tell the stories that showcase how you've been honing your craft and carving out your Special place in your field. Keywords are your friend When people are searching for an expert like you on LinkedIn, what words are they using? Think like your ideal client. Work those words in naturally throughout your profile to boost your magnetism. Check out other authorities in your space for inspiration, but don't copy - use it to differentiate yourself. Use your Featured section strategically This is precious real estate to guide people deeper into your world as an authority. Choose 2-3 power-packed features, like a glowing client testimonial, signature talk, or your latest book. Think of it as your exclusive club - what will make people feel lucky to be invited in by an authority like you? Remember, an authority isn't built in a day, but it can start with optimizing your LinkedIn profile to fully own your expertise. This week's episode of Good Girls Get Rich is brought to you by Uplevel Media CEO and LinkedIn expert, Karen Yankovich. In this episode, Karen Yankovich discusses the mindset and strategy that you need on LinkedIn. #GoodGirlsGetRich We want to hear your thoughts on this episode! Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. About the Episode: In this episode I talk about something near and dear to my heart: mindset and strategy in the ever-changing world of business, especially here in 2024. You know, I'm a big believer in the power of human connection, and that's something we're going to explore deeply today. I've been hearing a lot of chatter lately about how the energy in 2024 is different, and I couldn't agree more. It's all about adapting and pivoting our strategies to keep up with these changes. Now, let's talk about something that many of us have experienced: frustration. You're putting in the work, making those LinkedIn connections, having those collaboration calls, but sometimes, it feels like you're not seeing the results you want. But here's the thing: it's all about mindset. Instead of dwelling on what's not happening, let's shift our focus to the abundance of opportunities that are waiting for us. Building genuine relationships with intention and strategy is key. It's not about pushing for a sale, but rather about creating connections that lead to meaningful opportunities. And yes, it takes time and patience, especially in those high-ticket sales processes. But trust me, it's worth it. So, let's stay aligned with our high-value offerings and truly understand the needs of our clients. Authenticity is key here. And remember, those waiting periods? They're not setbacks; they're opportunities to nurture relationships and reframe our perspectives. Until next time, keep shining your light and embracing the abundance that surrounds you. In this episode, I am joined by LinkedIn strategist and CEO of Uplevel Media, Karen Yankovich. A seasoned expert with over 30 years of experience, Karen talks about how LinkedIn can be instrumental in empowering women entrepreneurs and guiding individuals towards becoming industry thought leaders. The conversation begins with Karen elaborating on her approach to marketing based on relationship selling, a concept deeply ingrained in her due to her rich background in sales. By focusing on forming connections and creating mutually beneficial solutions, she explains how businesses can significantly benefit. Highlighting the platform's positioning as a hub for all things business, she shares her views on why LinkedIn holds significant potential for wealth creation, personal branding and facilitating high-level business deals. She insists on investing even just 15 minutes a day building strategic relationships on LinkedIn can pave way for big contracts. Karen notes that to use LinkedIn effectively, it is crucial to have an appealing profile containing keywords related to your field of work. This way, your LinkedIn profile begins to attract suitable business prospects, thus creating a magnet-like effect. She further unpacks her networking strategies, discussing how to create impactful connections with potential clients, people with a similar target audience as yours, and journalists or influencers in your field. As a final note, Karen emphasizes consistency during this outreach process - connecting with a small number of people every week, rather than trying to meet everyone at once. From early struggles to finding success on LinkedIn, we've faced challenges, made pivotal shifts, and grown tremendously. Transitioning from an evergreen model to cohorts was a game-changer, fostering a sense of community among our clients. Recognizing the need for more personalized support, we introduced a pilot program with more done-for-you services, significantly impacting our clients' success. The recent addition of the Self-Mastery Program addresses the need for a self-paced option. It's nerve-wracking, but we're excited to provide a stepping stone for those not ready for the full program. Ownership of intellectual property became a focal point – our clients should own their success. We clarified this, emphasizing empowerment. Being a CEO means balancing client service and profitability. It's a juggling act, and I embrace the role as we continue to grow. Explore our programs, share your thoughts on social media, and leave us audio messages. This is a community, and your voice matters. Leave us a message on Speakpipe or email us at info@karenyankovich.com. About the Episode: I'm your host, Karen Yankovich, and today we have a very special episode dedicated to the rise of women supporting women. It's been amazing to see how this movement has gained momentum, especially on platforms like Threads, where women are following and supporting one another. I truly believe that when women have more money, we have the power to change the world. That's why I wanted to dedicate an entire episode to this topic. I want to encourage all of you to support each other in your personal and professional growth because together we can achieve amazing things. I'd like to start by sharing my own experience of supporting women through collaborations. It's been such a rewarding journey for me, and it has helped me grow my business in ways I couldn't have imagined. It's important to note that genuine collaboration is not about spamming or pitching. It's about finding like-minded individuals with aligned audiences and creating valuable collaborations that benefit everyone involved. I also want to emphasize the importance of seeking out mentors and being mentors ourselves. Mentorship plays a crucial role in personal and professional development. I encourage all of you to reach out to women you admire and explore opportunities for mentorship. You'd be surprised how willing people are to share their knowledge and help others succeed.
