It's about what happens when parents can no longer ignore what they see with their own eyes. When the official narrative conflicts with lived experience, every parent faces a choice: stay quiet, or find the courage to speak up. Del reflects on the movement built by parents, the impact of Vaxxed, the responsibility that comes with freedom, and the deeper conviction that each of us is here for a reason. He also shares the powerful story of his father telling him to "lay low" - and why he ultimately realized that was no longer an option. For parents navigating autism, chronic illness, or any complex challenge with their child, this episode is a reminder that comfort rarely creates change. Courage does. The secret this week is… You Are Being Called To RISE You'll Discover: How parents became the driving force behind the medical freedom movement (5:19) The belief that gives meaning to even the hardest experiences (12:15) The crisis almost no one is preparing for as today's children age into adulthood (18:03) Freedom and responsibility are inseparable (21:06) How to use your voice when staying silent feels safer (40:17) About Our Guest: Del Bigtree is one of the leading voices in the MAHA movement. In this lively episode of Doc Tales with Cocktails, Dr. May and Tim Hindmarsh tackle everything from bizarre fast-food crimes and questionable healthcare practices to a decades-old vaccine lawsuit making headlines. They discuss a McDonald's employee facing criminal charges after tampering with a customer's food, explore the dangers of social media-fueled decision-making, and break down the legal case of a convicted murderer who argued his life sentence ended when his heart temporarily stopped. The conversation then shifts to a controversial lawsuit involving an experimental RSV vaccine from the 1960s and broader concerns about medical ethics, informed consent, and pharmaceutical accountability. Plus, Dr. May shares a listener-submitted story involving concierge medicine, blood draws at a private residence, and the importance of vetting healthcare providers. As always, expect plenty of humor, candid commentary, and a few unexpected detours along the way. In This Episode A McDonald's employee faces felony charges after contaminating a customer's fries The role social media plays in poor decision-making A prison inmate's unusual legal argument about a life sentence ending after clinical death The history of vaccine-associated antibody enhancement (VADE) A lawsuit involving a 1960s RSV vaccine trial Medical ethics, informed consent, and government research programs Direct-to-consumer pharmaceutical advertising Concierge medicine concerns and "kitchen table" blood draws How to research and verify healthcare providers Listener questions and healthcare transparency Key Takeaways Social media can amplify impulsive decisions with lifelong consequences. Informed consent remains a foundational principle of ethical medicine. Patients should understand where their lab work is processed and how healthcare services are billed. Verifying provider credentials and disciplinary history is easier than ever and can help patients make informed healthcare decisions. Transparency builds trust between patients and healthcare professionals. I'm sitting down with Jonathan Otto for a conversation about health, sovereignty and the search for alternatives outside mainstream systems. Before that, we examine fresh claims surrounding the COVID era, including allegations that safety signals were ignored, questions about vaccine injuries, cancer risk, the origins of the virus, and what those controversies reveal about the relationship between governments, media, pharmaceutical companies and public trust. Against that backdrop, Jonathan shares his research into red light therapy, mitochondria, stem cells, methylene blue, chronic illness and emerging health technologies, while we explore whether decentralised approaches to medicine, community and personal responsibility offer a path beyond institutions that many people no longer trust. More broadly, this is a conversation about freedom, health, faith, innovation and what it means to reclaim control in a world increasingly shaped by powerful systems and competing narratives. Find out more at https://myredlight.com/ Red light therapy (photobiomodulation) is exploding in popularity — but why is the medical establishment pushing back? Investigative journalist and author Jonathan Otto joins to break down what red light and near-infrared therapy actually does, whether the science supports the biggest health claims, how long results take, side effects, whether it works for hair loss, and if you can overdo it. If Big Pharma is scared of it, that's reason enough to pay attention. What happens when a world-famous chef starts questioning the food system, modern wellness culture, and the way we've been taught to think about health? In this rerun episode of BS Free MD, Drs. May and Tim Hindmarsh sit down with Australian chef, author, and wellness advocate Pete Evans for a conversation that goes far beyond recipes and nutrition trends. Pete shares how his journey from professional surfer to celebrity chef eventually led him toward a deeper exploration of healing, intentional living, and the emotional connection people have with food. The discussion dives into the power of real, minimally processed ingredients, the importance of reconnecting with cooking at home, and why food may play a larger role in overall wellness than many people realize. Pete also reflects on the cultural and spiritual side of eating — from slowing down and sharing meals to questioning the systems that shape modern health advice. This episode is less about rigid diet rules and more about curiosity, awareness, and reclaiming a healthier relationship with what we put into our bodies. In This Episode Pete Evans' evolution from celebrity chef to wellness advocate Why real food and cooking at home matter more than ever The connection between food, community, and emotional well-being How modern lifestyles may be disconnecting people from health The role of intentional living and mindful eating Why questioning mainstream narratives became part of Pete's journey Thoughts on healing, simplicity, and returning to foundational habits About Pete Evans Pete Evans is an Australian chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, and television personality known for his focus on whole foods, wellness, and lifestyle-centered health approaches. Over the years, he has become a prominent voice in conversations around nutrition, cooking, and alternative health philosophies. Whether you agree, disagree, or land somewhere in the middle, BS Free MD invites listeners into thoughtful dialogue without the corporate filter. Listen & Follow BS Free MD
In 1976, Merck's CEO told Fortune magazine his dream was to make drugs for healthy people and sell them to everyone. Fifty years later, that dream is the air we breathe. In this solo episode, Dr. Roger McFillin traces how a generation was taught that being human is a disease. He walks through the 1994 inflection point, the Zoloft commercial that rewrote a culture, the academics and journals and sales reps who built the influence machine, and the school-to-pediatrician-to-customer-for-life pipeline that captured childhood itself. He reflects on the recent HHS mental health summit, what it gets right, and what the bureaucrats are still unwilling to say out loud. He names what was lost in the trade. The wisdom passed down through generations. The understanding that emotions are a guidance system, not a malfunction. The mental health industrial complex is not a healthcare system. It's a control system. The drugs are weapons. The diagnoses are chains. This is how you walk out of the cage.
“Parental rights” is a rallying cry for today's American conservatives, signaling opposition to mandatory vaccination and “woke” public school curricula. In Every Man's Home a Castle: Parental Rights and the Makings of Modern Conservatism (Princeton UP, 2026), Dr. Julia Bowes traces the origins of the modern parental rights movement to the nineteenth century, when the introduction of compulsory schooling laws, child labor regulations, and vaccine requirements provoked a resistance rooted in the presumed right of white men to govern their homes. A wide-ranging coalition—including Irish Catholic immigrants in Illinois, Mormon enclaves in Utah, and Protestant clergy in Virginia—believed that the state had usurped the “natural rights” of parents and “invaded the home.”Dr. Bowes shows how, by the turn of the century, those disparate voices had coalesced into national conservative movements. Anti-vaccinationists, alternative medical practitioners, and parents who opposed compulsory school medical exams joined forces to form the National League for Medical Freedom. Deciding a case brought by conservative Catholic lawyers, the Supreme Court declared parental rights a “fundamental liberty” protected by the Fourteenth Amendment. And the Sentinels of the Republic, a conservative citizen's lobby, mobilized a campaign to defeat the proposed federal Child Labor Amendment, bringing together pro-family and free-market politics with far-reaching consequences.Exploring the emergence of parental rights as an antistatist ideology through legal cases, legislative debates, and political movements, Dr. Bowes argues that the expansion of state power over children provoked such fierce opposition because the paternal rights of white men—considered the “rights-bearing” individuals of American democracy—were widely viewed as the mark and measure of their independence. This interview was conducted by Dr. Miranda Melcher whose book focuses on post-conflict military integration, understanding treaty negotiation and implementation in civil war contexts, with qualitative analysis of the Angolan and Mozambican civil wars. What if a single court case could redefine your right to refuse a medical intervention? And what happens when the government is given broad authority over what goes into your body? Leslie Manookian, President and Founder of the Health Freedom Defense Fund, returns for Part Two to discuss a potentially historic case that may soon be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court—one that challenges long-standing legal precedent and raises fundamental questions about bodily autonomy, informed consent, and the limits of government power. Drawing on her experience leading successful legal challenges—including the overturning of the federal travel mask mandate and efforts to halt employer vaccine mandates—Leslie explains how this case is unfolding, why it has drawn national attention, and what could be at stake if the Court takes it. At its core, she argues, this case could reshape how medical mandates are interpreted under the Constitution. She also introduces a new national effort—the COVID Justice Resolution—aimed at bringing accountability to pandemic-era policies and ensuring that similar overreach is never repeated. And in a surprising turn, Leslie shares details about a bold new initiative she's taking on—launching a national petition to address geoengineering—an emerging and largely unexamined issue that raises profound questions about environmental exposure, public health, and consent. Pierre explains how he ended up deep in mineral chemistry instead of the ketamine series he was writing. After four years treating vaccine‑injured patients at Leading Edge Clinic, he's learned that almost every promising therapy — hyperbaric, stem cells, exosomes, chlorine dioxide, DMSO, ivermectin — helps some people a lot, others modestly, and leaves a stubborn cohort behind. A contact kept pushing him to look at a mineral extract derived from biotite (black mica), a volcanic rock containing 50 to 80 minerals. The backstory: a Japanese researcher in the 1950s, transfixed by a tree growing out of a bare rock, spent roughly 15 years in his off‑hours coaxing the minerals out in sulfated, bioavailable form. Pierre dug in, set the ketamine work aside, and hasn't come up for air since. From there the conversation turns sharp. Tim, May, and Pierre dissect the long COVID research pipeline — $1.2 billion committed, the first government‑funded trial studying Paxlovid, a repurposed HIV drug Pfizer dusted off during the pandemic. Pierre pulls no punches on regulatory capture, rebound, and the PR campaign that made Paxlovid a household name despite a paper‑thin evidence base. They reminisce about the monoclonal antibody era — a clinic with the state's entire supply, patients improving in hours, and then the EUA vanishing right as things were working. The episode wraps with a tease for next week: a full deep dive on chlorine dioxide, the subject of Pierre's newest book written with Jenna McCarthy. ABOUT DR. Bioethicist and psychiatrist Dr. Aaron Kheriaty, author of “Making the Cut: How to Heal Modern Medicine,” discusses declining public trust in healthcare. Kheriaty describes his medical training and argues medicine has become an industrial, bureaucratic “turnstile” system that dehumanizes care, turns physicians into data-entry clerks, and relies on reimbursement-driven “guidelines” and narrow evidence-based medicine that favors costly pharmaceuticals. He proposes creating “parallel” grassroots medical institutions—such as direct primary care—analogous to homeschooling and Eastern European dissidents' “parallel polis,” since systemic reform from within is difficult. Kheriaty recounts opposing COVID vaccine mandates at UC Irvine, being fired after suing, and participating in Missouri v. Biden and Ho v. Newsom, which challenged government-influenced social-media censorship and California's physician “misinformation” law. He also discusses informed consent, assisted suicide opposition, and advocating opt-in organ donation.

What happens when one state passes a law that challenges the status quo around medical choice? Could it spark a movement across the country? And how are Americans really thinking about medical freedom today? Leslie Manookian, President and Founder of the Health Freedom Defense Fund, joins us to discuss what has unfolded since the passage of the Idaho Medical Freedom Act—and why it may be just the beginning. Leslie shares how this legislation has inspired a growing coalition of organizations working together to advance similar protections in states nationwide. She also reveals the results of a new national poll conducted in partnership with the Brownstone Institute, offering surprising insight into how Americans view informed consent, personal autonomy, and the role of government in healthcare. In this conversation, Leslie explains how the Idaho law is being strengthened, what's happening in other states, and how individuals can get involved in shaping the future of health freedom in their own communities. Who has the right to determine how a pregnancy should be delivered? Kelley Fox and Rev. Terry Williams tackle recent reporting that documents incidents in Florida where Black women have been forced into delivering their pregnancies via C-section against their will. Putting these latest examples of government overreach into historical & social context, Kelley and Rev. Terry cover the ethics of bodily autonomy, analogous medical freedom situations, and the role racism plays in the policies of force that disparately affect pregnant people in the United States. Send us Fan MailCan a government agency decide what goes into your body, or your child's body? That single question drives a frank conversation with Rebecca Terrell, a nurse and journalist, as we examine vaccine mandates through the lens of medical freedom, bodily autonomy, and informed consent. We separate “what you think about vaccines” from “what the state can force,” and we explain why that distinction matters even for people who generally support vaccination. We also dig into how public health messaging works when fear is the tool. We talk herd immunity, how “epidemic” can be defined, and why phrases like “safe and effective” may sound reassuring while still hiding narrow regulatory definitions. Along the way we discuss exemption requests we see in a medical practice, including the ethical line around medical exemptions and how religious exemptions are commonly framed under First Amendment protections, while noting that rules vary by state. From there, we zoom out to incentives and trust: conflicts of interest, pharmaceutical influence, and what research questions parents keep asking such as vaccinated vs unvaccinated comparisons and the cumulative impact of the childhood vaccine schedule. We touch on measles history, vitamin A treatment, and how legislative fights like Florida's Medical Freedom Act connect to older precedent like Jacobson v. Massachusetts. If you care about vaccine policy, parental rights, and medical ethics, this conversation is built to challenge assumptions and sharpen your questions. A subpoena from the Department of Justice isn't just paperwork, it's a powerful tool that can drain resources, intimidate providers, and threaten patient care. In this eye-opening episode of Succeed In Medicine, host Dr. Bradley Block welcomes back Dr. Crystal Beal, along with Adrian Levitt from the ACLU of Washington. In June 2025, Dr. Beal's small private practice received one of over 20 identical DOJ subpoenas targeting providers of gender-affirming care for adolescents. While large institutions like Boston Children's, Seattle Children's, and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia also received subpoenas, the impact on a solo practitioner is uniquely daunting. Dr. Beal describes the anti-climactic moment the subpoena arrived via their accountant and the immediate decision to fight it with pro bono support from the ACLU, Arnold & Porter, and Perkins Coie. The conversation unpacks the broader context: the Supreme Court's decision in United States v. Skrmetti, executive actions, funding cuts, and the federal government's stated goal of ending gender-affirming care for minors. Adrian explains how the DOJ is using the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA) in a novel way, traditionally applied to drug manufacturers, to investigate individual physicians. The subpoena demanded extensive records, including patient names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, training materials, and communications with pharmaceutical reps. Throughout the episode, they emphasize their ethical obligation as a physician to provide evidence-based, life-saving care and reflect on the deeper moral questions raised by this moment in history. Three Actionable Takeaways: Know your rights and secure legal support early: If you receive a government subpoena or face regulatory pressure, contact organizations like the ACLU or the Abortion Defense Network immediately. Do not assume you must comply right away. Document and practice ethically, but prepare for scrutiny: Continue providing medically necessary, evidence-based care while understanding that political targeting of certain specialties is increasing. Build relationships with legal counsel before crises hit. Speak up and combat misinformation: Physicians have a unique platform in their communities. Learn about gender-affirming care if it's within your scope, talk openly with colleagues and patients, and stand against efforts to criminalize or restrict legitimate medical practice. Find an EvexiPel provider near you: https://www.evexipel.com/find-a-provider/ --- Why the Healthcare System Has No Financial Incentive to Make You Well The United States spends more on healthcare than any country on earth — $4.9 trillion annually. And we rank second to last in actual health outcomes among all developed nations. That's not a coincidence. In this conversation, Dr. Terri sits down with her husband and EVEXIAS co-founder Dan DeNeui for one of their most candid, wide-ranging discussions yet. From the exploding wellness industry to the pharmaceutical lobby's quiet war on compounding pharmacies, to an 81-year-old woman whose rapid cognitive decline traced directly back to a statin nobody should have prescribed — this episode pulls back the curtain on a system that profits from keeping people sick. This one is for anyone who has ever felt like the healthcare system is working against them. Because in a lot of ways, it is. What you'll discover: Why the U.S. wellness industry jumped from $9 billion to $2 trillion in just three years — and what that signals [13:02] The statin story that every adult child of an aging parent needs to hear [17:13] Why pharmaceutical companies are sending cease and desist letters to clinicians prescribing legal compounded medications [45:31] How cholesterol reference ranges have been quietly lowered decade after decade — and why [19:40] Why 90% of supplements sold at retail either don't contain what they claim or are contaminated with mold and mycotoxins [30:40] What medical freedom actually means — and the insidious ways it's being stripped without anyone noticing [44:15] Why EVEXIAS provider trainings are maxed out every single month and what that says about where medicine is heading [05:27] The one thing both sides of the political aisle can agree on — if they're willing to set the labels aside [42:03] The bottom line: People are waking up. Clinicians are waking up. And the system is running out of ways to keep the truth quiet. Dr. McDonald shares his perspective as a psychiatrist on how prolonged fear messaging, social pressure, and institutional narratives have influenced behavior, relationships, and individual autonomy. The discussion touches on the psychological impact of recent global events and what it means to live with integrity when cultural pressures push in the opposite direction. The conversation challenges listeners to think critically about courage, responsibility, and the role individuals play in restoring common sense and moral conviction in their families and communities. What You'll Hear in This Episode Why courage is a foundational virtue in both medicine and society The psychological effects of prolonged fear messaging How cultural narratives influence individual behavior and belief systems The role masculinity plays in leadership, protection, and responsibility Why questioning authority has become socially difficult The importance of moral clarity in chaotic cultural moments How individuals can reclaim agency and personal responsibility Key Takeaways Courage is not simply bravery in crisis — it is the willingness to speak truth when social pressure demands silence. Fear can be a powerful tool of social control when amplified by institutions and media. Cultural confusion around identity and responsibility can erode common sense decision-making. Strong families and communities depend on individuals willing to stand for principles even when it is uncomfortable. Restoring common sense begins with individuals reclaiming personal responsibility and moral courage. Xylitol, FTC Censorship, and the Oral–Heart Health Connection: Nathan Jones, CEO and founder of Xlear, Inc., makers of xylitol-based nasal and dental hygiene products, and a health freedom advocate, discusses Jones' ongoing legal battle with the FTC. He addresses the difficulty of making health claims for hygiene products (including toothpaste and nasal sprays), the role of “weasel words” in supplement marketing, and concerns about regulatory double standards versus pharmaceuticals. He also reviews xylitol's benefits for dental caries and respiratory/ear infections, including references to studies and public-health examples (e.g., Finland and a Belize program reducing dental caries costs), and Jones' efforts to encourage Utah to implement xylitol gum programs in schools. He contrasts fluoride's enamel-strengthening approach with xylitol's effect on the underlying bacterial cause of tooth decay, discusses Utah's fluoride policy change and claims about fluoride's limited benefit, and highlights a correlation between poor oral health and cardiovascular risk via inflammation and bacterial translocation into the bloodstream, including pathogens found in atherosclerotic plaque, and links also discussed for dementia and Parkinson's. They close with commentary on health advocacy in the “MAHA era,” the challenges of entrenched federal bureaucracy, and Jones' preference for advocacy groups that teach industry to push back rather than comply.
Dr. Hoffman continues his conversation with Nathan Jones, CEO and founder of Xlear, Inc.

This episode is one of the most important conversations I've had about vaccines. I sit down with a leading vaccine expert to slow down the noise and talk honestly about where we are right now in America. We discuss how vaccines went from one of the greatest public health successes in history to something many families feel unsure about, and what that shift means for children. This is not about politics or headlines. It's about what I see as a pediatrician, what clinicians across the country are experiencing, and why protecting kids still has to be the center of the conversation. We talk about fear, misinformation, and the very real consequences of falling vaccination rates. I share personal stories from training and practice that still stay with me, and we unpack how trust eroded, how Covid changed the landscape, and what parents deserve to understand moving forward. My hope is that this episode helps families step back from the chaos and reconnect with the core goal we all share: keeping children safe, healthy, and out of hospitals whenever we can. What we discuss: The current state of vaccines in America Why vaccines are a victim of their own success How misinformation spreads faster than evidence Turning points that eroded public trust in vaccines The impact of Covid on vaccine perception Real clinical consequences of falling vaccination rates Stories of vaccine-preventable illness from practice Why personal choice affects community safety Changes to vaccine recommendations and public messaging What parents should understand about risk vs benefit To connect with Paul Offit follow him on Instagram @pauloffitmd and check out all his resources at https://www.paul-offit.com/ 00:00 Opening Message: The Real Risk of Skipping Vaccines 02:12 Meet Dr. Paul Offit 03:30 The Current State of Vaccines in America 05:04 Vaccines Are a Victim of Their Own Success 06:12 Why We Still Need Vaccines for “Rare” Diseases 08:27 Where Modern Vaccine Distrust Began (1982 Turning Point) 10:34 Pandemic Fallout and Vaccine Hesitancy 12:02 Frontline Stories from COVID 15:06 Denial in the Face of Evidence 17:11 How Vaccine Communication Should Change 19:00 Operation Warp Speed and Scientific Breakthrough 21:13 Politics and Public Health History 23:18 Measles Deaths Are Not “The Cost of Doing Business” 25:20 Medical Freedom vs Public Responsibility 28:23 Schedule Changes and Shared Decision Making 32:49 Life Before Rotavirus Vaccine 34:02 RSV Breakthroughs and Modern Progress 38:31 The Emotional Toll of Vaccine Misinformation 40:02 Residency Stories: When Prevention Fails 43:30 A Message to Vaccine-Hesitant Parents 45:35 What Keeps Dr. Offit Fighting 47:04 Final Takeaway: Vaccines Succeeded So We Forgot Our podcasts are also now on YouTube. In this episode of Keeping Abreast, Dr. Jenn Simmons sits down with Reed Davis, founder of Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN), for a no-comfort conversation about why so many women are told they're “fine” while they feel anything but.Together, they unpack the lie hiding inside “normal labs,” why diagnosis-chasing keeps you stuck in symptom management, and what Reed calls metabolic chaos - the slow breakdown that happens when chronic stress, inflammation, hormone disruption, digestion issues, and toxic burden stack up for years… until the body finally crashes. They also break down epigenetics (and why family history is not a life sentence), plus what it really means to “change the environment your breasts are living in.”This is a conversation about root cause, medical sovereignty, and the hard truth that health doesn't happen in a doctor's office, it happens at home.In this episode you'll learn:Why “normal labs” can still mean deep dysfunctionThe difference between treating a diagnosis and treating the personWhat “metabolic chaos” is and how it shows up as totally different symptoms in different peopleHow epigenetics works (and how to use it to break family patterns)The FDN framework: HIDDEN stressors + DRESS (Diet, Rest, Exercise, Stress reduction, Supplementation)Why exercise and nutrition have to be individualized (and how the wrong plan backfires)Dr. Jenn's perspective on prophylactic mastectomy and the underestimated cost of breast removal traumaEpisode Timeline:00:00 Why “Normal Lab Results” Don't Mean You're Healthy02:24 Reed Davis' Journey Into Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN)10:12 Root Cause Healing vs Diagnosis-Based Medicine15:39 Why Conventional Medicine Stops at Symptom Management19:06 Metabolic Chaos: How Chronic Stress Disrupts Hormones and Health20:58 Epigenetics Explained: How Environment Overrides Genetics28:01 Prophylactic Mastectomy, Breast Health, and Medical Trauma32:48 The DRESS Protocol: Diet, Stress, and Lifestyle-Based Healing45:48 Medical Freedom, Screening Pressure, and Patient Autonomy54:13 The Future of Healthcare: Prevention, Wellness, and Self-Responsibility1:01:04 What Is a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN)?Learn more about Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN): www.functionaldiagnosticnutrition.comTo talk to a member of Dr. Jenn's team and learn more about working privately with RHMD, visit: https://jennsimmons.simplero.com/page/377266?kuid=327aca17-5135-44cf-9210-c0b77a56e26d&kref=vOKy0sAiorrKTo get your copy of Dr. Jenn's book, The Smart Woman's Guide to Breast Cancer, visit: https://tinyurl.com/SmartWomansBreastCancerGuideTo purchase the auria breast cancer screening test go here https://auria.care/ and use the code DRJENN20 for 20% Off.Connect with Dr. Jenn:Website: https://www.jennsimmonsmd.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DrJennSimmonsInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/drjennsimmons/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@dr.jennsimmons
"Big Pharma has forgotten patient care and is all about profitability. That's all they're going to worry about." If you've been hearing confusing information about "counterfeit drugs"... if you're on compounded GLP-1s, peptides, or hormones and wondering if your medications are safe... if you care about medical freedom and individualized medicine... this episode is your wake-up call. Dr. Terri sits down with her husband Dan for one of the most urgent and controversial conversations yet. From FDA Commissioner Marty Makary's statements about "counterfeit drugs" to state-level bills trying to restrict compounding, this isn't just about pharmacy regulations - it's about whether you'll keep access to individualized medicine. Dan pulls no punches: "We were good enough to pick up the slack during Covid when Big Pharma couldn't make medications. Now all of a sudden, we're somehow unsafe? We're dangerous?" WHAT YOU'LL DISCOVER: → What "counterfeit drugs" ACTUALLY means (and why legitimate pharmacies are being lumped in) → The difference between black market imports and FDA-inspected 503A compounding pharmacies → Why Big Pharma is running to state legislators to add restrictions on compounding → The first step to taking away medical freedom and individualized patient care → How compounders picked up the slack during GLP-1 shortages (and helped Big Pharma's popularity) → Who really stepped in during Covid when Big Pharma shut down (compounders saved the day) → The hypocrisy: "Good enough during the emergency, dangerous after" → Why Big Pharma forgot about patient care in pursuit of profitability → State-level bills happening RIGHT NOW in Indiana, Colorado, Mississippi, Kentucky, Georgia → How you can fight back and protect your access to compounded medications → Why individualized medicine matters (we're genetically different, not one-size-fits-all) → The truth about good compounders vs bad compounders This isn't about defending bad actors. It's about protecting legitimate, FDA-inspected pharmacies that provide individualized care when Big Pharma can't or won't. In this episode, I speak with Dr. Nathan Riley about how modern systems shape pregnancy and birth — not just medically, but psychologically and culturally. This conversation isn't about rebellion or nostalgia. It's about responsibility, trust, and what happens when we're trained to hand those over.We talk about natural birth, home birth, and the power of doing less instead of more. C-section rates keep climbing and fear is introduced early through institutional rituals. Education, compliance, and credentialed authority train us to outsource knowing, especially during pregnancy and birth. From midwifery to birth trauma, from holistic health to reclaiming responsibility, this conversation connects dots most people never think to question. If you're interested in birth sovereignty, health sovereignty, and the deeper implications of how humans enter the world, this episode will challenge you. Not with ideology, but with lived experience and uncomfortable clarity. You'll Learn:[00:00] Introduction[04:07] Meeting Dr. Stu Fishbein at a breech delivery talk and the home birth that changed everything[13:53] Why compulsory education conditions us to trust credentials over critical thinking and clinical experience[27:53] The alternative health movement is still rooted in materialism [39:01] The overuse of the word physiology when being directed towards childbirth[52:35] Where the alternative health space is getting it wrong[01:06:53] How asking about your own birth transforms your ability to hold space and trust intuition during labor[01:16:40] Induction risks depend on your provider and why most inductions aren't medically necessary[01:29:14] The HPV and cervical cancer story[02:02:03] The graphic reality of circumcision[02:22:10] Why midwives should be the default for prenatal care[02:50:55] The nuanced case for free birth, the problems with rebirth certifications, and why "birth educator" replaced "midwife"Related The Way Forward Episodes:Rethinking DNA: Examining the Evidence with Dr. Tom Cowan | YouTubeThe Heart is Not a Pump: Vortexes, Blood Flow & The Seat of the Soul with Dr. Stephen Hussey | YouTubeThe Great Birth Revival: Birth Certificates, Circumcision, Postpartum & More with Veda Ray | YouTubeFlipping Birth Upside Down with Eyla Cuenca | YouTubeResources Mentioned:The Secret Life of the Unborn Child: Dr. Thomas Verny on the Embodied Mind, Epigenetics, and Transgenerational Healing | Podcast50 Human Studies, in Utero, Conducted in Modern China, Indicate Extreme Risk for Prenatal Ultrasound by Jim West | Book or AudiobookLearn more from Dr. Nathan Riley:Born Free Method | WebsiteBeloved Holistics | Website2026 Born Free Twins-Breech Gathering | WebsiteFind more from Alec:Alec Zeck | InstagramAlec Zeck | XThe Way Forward | InstagramThe Way Forward is Sponsored By:Designed for deep focus and well-being. 100% blue light and flicker free.
