Ek weet ek moet my ingesteldheid verander, maar ek wil nie. Hoe reageer jy as iemand jou reghelp? As jy ongewild wil wees, verkondig heiligheid.” There are inner core prayers which means, you pray first for the members of your family, their daily needs and protection. Then prayer moves to outer core prayers, meaning, other people's needs of every kind. Then of course other matters that beg for prayer. I live like this in prayer. This is how I typically pray and I know they are not lazy prayers, or reptitive prayers mouthed without heart. I stand for my family and every one and everything I pray for and about. Yet, every now and then I begin to feel a lessening in those prayers, as if there is a thinning out of them. I become instantly aware of it and begin to lay things aside. Over the past couple of months I felt this happening to me. I kept my prayers small. I started to feel a very deep little fire burning within and day by day getting hotter, and enlarging.I could not get the prayer out and today I found myself wordless in prayer, and "While I was musing the fire burned." Then all of a sudden I cried out, "Lord, I need a cave! I need the Cave of Adullam!" Then waves of spiritually charged words began to flow out that were firey and hot. By the time I was finished, I felt something lift off of me. I felt lighter and in-flooded with the Holy Spirit and refreshing.Sometimes God comes around and wants you to put everything aside. He wants you to let things out of your heart buried so deeply, to come rushing out like fiery streams. When you leave that cave you will leave something behind and emerge in newness and light. God can take care of the universe without you from time to time. He wants you to know this."The secret of praying is praying in secret." - Leonard Ravenhill

Before we even got started prayer was made that it would flow with only what the Holy Spirit wanted us to speak about. We began with the big question that not only Americans are asking and wondering about, but also the whole world at large. What is going to happen to America? We spoke about Satan's long range plans from ancient times to bring about a one world government. His schemes and ways. We spoke a while on his so-called master plans. But then the flow of the Holy Spirit began. At one point the question arose, "What can we do to be ready?" There is only one way to be ready and that is to give your life over to Jesus Christ in full surrender. To trust God fully, read His word, and believe with ironclad faith. Jesus Christ is coming again sooner than ever and time is closing in. The time is now to receive eternal salvation. America is not mentioned in scripture. There is coming a "New Heaven and a New Earth wherein dwelleth rightousness." 2 Peter 3:13." “My goal is GOD HIMSELF. Not joy, not peace, not even blessing but HIMSELF...my GOD.” ― Leonard Ravenhill

“The Lord whom you seek. We're not seeking him, we're seeking revival, we're seeking healing, we're seeking miracles. It's not that we need. If we get God we get all that's needed. And revival is when God comes down.” “The church has never had more equipment than she has now, and she never had less power.” “I want to be one of the ten most wanted men in hell. I want the demons to be able to say, Jesus I know and Ravenhill I know…” Leonard Ravenhill was born the eighteenth of June, 1907, in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. At his conversion, it wasn't simply his sin that provoked his revelation of God, but rather he saw that his father had a spiritual reality that he himself did not have. So at the age of fifteen, he came under conviction and cried out to the Lord and was converted. This kind of revelation of God would continue to mark his ministry throughout the rest of his life. From that point on, he was engaged in evangelism, personal witness, and serious prayer both on his own and in group prayer meetings. In 1958, Leonard and his family moved to Minnesota after they felt a leading from God, and he taught at Bethany College of Missions near Minneapolis. In the 80s, he moved to Texas, a short distance from Last Days Ministries Ranch, where again he would often teach classes, and also where he would spend the remainder of his life. While in Texas, he mentored the late Keith Green, and today, the two are buried about twenty feet from each other in the same cemetery. “I've said it many times, I'll say it again that no man is greater than his prayer life.” -------------- Apologetics, Debate, Bible Discussions, Evangelism, and much more A Bible study on personal works and fruit bearing - "The mystic fruit bowl" Mark 7:5-23 - https://youtu.be/kw7QiLQMQ_M?si=eSOYcF1Ffco6-inI (Discussing discipleship) Bible study on Luke 9:60-62 "Let the dead bury the dead" - https://www.youtube.com/live/BkWtkOrEs-Q?si=y-zyqNGfWi3kzVu2 To know more on how to be saved, what are the requirements and such, please see our playlist on the Gospel and Eternal Security (assurance of salvation) - https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3pJdCnnwrEeCQOCTTmDW1GjUYxpd44DG&si=_rT-lThl0klHt5Cd Our Ministries Website - https://christiancoffeetime.ca/ 1John 5:20) "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. Suffering and the Glory of God

The first time that the English word sufferings is used in the New Testament is when Paul the apostle wrote in his letter to the Romans, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18). Two things that Paul writes here are things that every serious follower of Jesus Christ can count on. In this life there is going to be suffering for the cause of Christ. But in the life to come, the glory of God is going to be revealed in us who suffer for HIs names sake. That is exactly what the apostle Peter tells us in 1 Peter 1:11 when he writes about “the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow”.Contrary to the carnal, fleshly, self centered, me-centered gospel of health and wealth, the gospel of Jesus Christ is a message of self denial and persecution for those who follow Jesus in spirit and in truth. Years ago, Leonard Ravenhill said: "The early Church was married to poverty, prisons and persecutions. Today, the church is married to prosperity, personality, and popularity." The subject of suffering for the cause of Christ is not a popular one, but it is a biblical one.Peter tells us in verse 12 of chapter 4 that we should not think that fiery trials for the cause of Christ are strange. Quite to the contrary, we see them as ways in which we partake of the fellowship of Christ's sufferings (Philemon 3:10). And the promise of God is that if we partake of His sufferings, we will also reign with Him partake of His glory and joy (2 Timothy 2:12; 1 Peter 4:13).This suffering and persecution that Christians experience are not things that we go out looking for. They are things that happen to us because we live in a fallen world that is influenced by the spirit of antichrist. Jesus said, “if they have persecuted Me, they will also persecuted you” (John 15:20). To choose to follow Jesus Christ and live holy and pure in a world that loves darkness rather than light, persecution is inevitable (2 Timothy 3:12). The stony ground or shallow faith individual is offended and flees when persecution comes their way (Matthew 13:21). But the true follower of Jesus Christ knows that persecution can separate him or her from the love of Christ (Romans 8:35).Peter concludes this section on suffering for the cause of Christ with these words,  “Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator” (1 Peter 4:19). The Lord Jesus would say to every one of His people who are suffering for His Name sake these words. Matthew 5:12 says, “Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you”.  Amen. So be it, Lord Jesus. SELAH

Thank you. We know that God by His power created the heavens and earth. But since the fall of mankind, there has been nothing but a struggle for power. The entire Bible begins and ends with the war for power. In every facet of life there is a wrestle for power. Satan is behind this problem as he is power hungry. He has his ultimate plan to produce his "man of sin" so he can have full world power and worship through him. A few nights ago there was a presidential campaign that clearly demonstrated that power has collapsed in our nation. I saw no winner. I saw the end. There are world powers going to war to obtain power over another. Israel is going to war against Hezbollah to eradicate their power. Ichabod is now engraved on mostly every church. There is nothing now but "confusion, noise and garments rolled in blood." In the word David said, "God hath spoken once, twice have I heart this, that power belongeth unto God." Psalm 62:11. Before Jesus went to heaven He said, "All power in heaven and earth hath been given unto me." Matt. 28:18. We are not only given power to become the sons (and daughters of God), but power in Christ as becoming something "more than conquerors." All powers are collapsing world-wide including our own and this nation is NOT coming back. So keep in mind that "All-Power" is living in you and THAT power will always overpower all other lesser powers that are fading away. We are children of the living God who possess heavenly power that is ours now until the very end. Exercise yourselves in His power that is in you in advancing prayer and reading your Bibles and singing. Even the saints that come out of their graves arise singing from it. Isaiah 26:16-20. “Some Day Someone is going to pick up this book (The Bible) and believe it, and put us all to shame.”― Leonard Ravenhill, Why Revival Tarries: A Classic on Revival --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/joanie-stahl/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/joanie-stahl/support

Message Notes: 20 Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them, the one who also had leaned back against him during the supper and had said, “Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?” 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!” 23 So the saying spread abroad among the brothers that this disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not to die, but, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?” — John 21v20-23 (ESV) Your attention is your most valuable resource 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. — 1 Peter 5v8-9 (ESV) Types of “driving” distractions: Visual distraction Cognitive distraction Manual distraction The difference between technology and slavery is that slaves are fully aware that they are not free. — Nassim Taleb 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!” — John 21v21-22 (ESV) Some moments expose your weakness, others reveal your strength. Peter's moments distracted by the storm cutting off the soldiers ear denying Jesus three times The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked. — Proverbs 24v16 (NLT) never going back… 1. I'm committed to going forward 1 After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way. 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. 3 Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. — John 21v1-3 (ESV) Your comfort is your coffin Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, — Philippians 3v13 (ESV) 2. I'm convinced God is working in my life 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. — Matthew 7v15-17 (ESV) 3. I'm convicted about my walk with God 18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.” 19 (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, “Follow me.” — John 21v18-19 (ESV) Christianity isn't a spectator sport… it's army enlistment Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!” — John 21v22 (ESV) We have many organizers, but few agonizers; many players and payers, few pray-ers; many singers, few clingers; lots of pastors, few wrestlers; many fears, few tears; much fashion, little passion; many interferers, few intercessors; many writers, but few fighters. In Pastor Chris's sermon, he urges the congregation to lead lives reflective of their identity in Christ by living with an eternal perspective. He draws on Colossians 3 to emphasize the importance of shedding negative behaviors and embracing virtues such as compassion, kindness, humility, forgiveness, patience, and love. The metaphor of taking off old clothes and putting on new ones symbolizes this transformation. Pastor Chris cites Leonard Ravenhill, an influential British evangelist, to highlight the significance of being mindful of eternity in every aspect of life. He encourages engaging with the Word of Christ and supplementing it with sermons, podcasts, and music that draw one's focus to eternal realities. His personal affinity for Southern gospel music, with its focus on heaven and the anticipation of Jesus's return, reinforces this theme. The sermon also reminds believers that current sufferings are temporary and pale in comparison to the eternal glory that awaits them. He underscores the call for Christians to remain steadfast and active in their faith, cultivating a lifestyle that not only awaits the afterlife but also actively works towards representing Christ in the present world. In closing, Pastor Chris connects the message of living with an eternal perspective to the practice of Communion, inviting the congregation to partake in the anticipation of the heavenly banquet promised in Christian eschatology. He concludes with a prayer for the Holy Spirit's presence, for peace in the world, particularly in Jerusalem and Israel, and for the church to embody Christ's reconciling love. This summary encapsulates the essence of Pastor Chris's message, focusing on the transformation of the believer, the impermanence of worldly struggles, and the importance of focusing on the eternal in the Christian life. Summary: A troubling recent survey says that a portion of born-again Christians who still believe Jesus was sinless during His time on earth has declined significantly. Jesus said that He did not come to destroy the Law, but to be the fulfillment of it. The Bible from Genesis to Revelation is about Jesus. There are numerous Old and New Testament scriptures that point to Jesus sinless service.   Leonard Ravenhill in his book Why Revival Tarries said: "This generation of preachers is responsible for this generation of sinners. There is hope, but the question still remains: Do we have ears to hear, eyes to see, and hearts open and awakened? We have a grand opportunity to rise up as voices for a time such as this, to speak the truth in love, seasoned with grace, even to those who may oppose us, but we must speak the truth nonetheless because it's the truth that sets people free!

Around 1990, Leonard Ravenhill gave a powerful message at a Baptist Conference, speaking for nearly two hours on our need for unction, anointing, and power from God. Ravenhill had a heavy burden for revival and shares that passion in this message as he asks each of us if we have the fire of God in our lives.Learn more about the Bravehearted Voices Podcast and how you can be discipled and grow spiritually by visiting braveheartedvoices.com

QUOTES FOR REFLECTION “…what the heart loves, the will chooses, and the mind justifies. The mind doesn't direct the will. The mind is actually captive to what the will wants, and the will itself, in turn, is captive to what the heart wants.” ~Dr. John Ashley Null, scholar at the Humboldt University of Berlin “We don't need a praying life because that is our duty. That would wear thin quickly. We need time to be with our Father every day because every day our hearts and the hearts of those around us are overgrown with weeds. We need to reflect on our lives and engage God with the condition of our souls and the souls he has entrusted to our care or put in our paths. In a fallen world, these things do not come automatically.” –Paul Miller in his book A Praying Life “To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.” ~Martin Luther (1483-1546), German reformer “Prayer lays hold of God's plan and becomes the link between his will and its accomplishment on earth. Amazing things happen, and we are given the privilege of being the channels of the Holy Spirit's prayer.” ~Elisabeth Elliot (1926-2015), author, speaker, and missionary “Jesus is now upon the throne, and by suffering on the cross, in the lowest state of His humiliation, He has spoiled everything that can hurt…you. He has borne all your sins, sorrows, troubles, temptations, and He has gone to prepare mansions for you.” ~Thomas Wilcox (1549-1608), “A Choice Drop of Honey from the Rock of Christ” “If I stand, let me stand on the promise that you will pull me through / And if I can't, let me fall on the grace that first brought me to you / And if I sing, let me sing for the joy that has born in me these songs / And if I weep, let it be as a man who is longing for his home.” ~Rich Mullins (1955-1997), singer-songwriter “The self-sufficient does not pray, the self-satisfied will not pray, the self-righteous cannot pray. No man is greater than his prayer life.” ~Leonard Ravenhill (1907-1994) English evangelist and author SERMON PASSAGE John 14:1-14 (ESV) John 14 1 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” 8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father'? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves. 12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it. John 1 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made…. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth…. 35 The next day again John [the Baptist] was standing with two of his disciples, 36 and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!” 37 The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus. 2 Corinthians 4 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Billion Soul Harvest: Interview with Mike BickleIn this video Pastor, Mike Bickle From the International House of Prayer (IHOP) explains where he first heard the prediction of a Billion Soul Harvest. Mike explains the origins of the billion soul harvest as having originated with E.M. Bounds then repeated by Leonard Ravenhill. Many years later Mike would hear the billion soul harvest predicted by prophets like Bob Jones. But is the Billion Soul Harvest Biblical? Is this end-time revival that many are waiting for a biblical expectation, or just another charismatic prediction that will never come to pass?Additionally, we spend this interview discussing Mike's relationship with Bob. Did Mike wholesale endorse Bob Jones or did Mike grow concerned about some of Bob's later teachings? all that and more in this episode of The Remnant Radio!Donate (Paypal)https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=GC2Z86XHHG4X6___________________________________________________________________________________Exclusive Content (Patreon)https://www.patreon.com/TheRemnantRadio__________________________________________________________________________________We're social! Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheRemnantRadioInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/theremnantradio/___________________________________________________________________________________Our Favorite Bookshttps://www.amazon.com/shop/theremnantradio___________________________________________________________________________________Michael Rowntree's Church Bridgewayhttps://www.bridgewaychurch.com/___________________________________________________________________________________Michael Miller's Church Reclamation Churchhttps://reclamationdenver.com/___________________________________________________________________________________Kairos Classroom: Use Promo Code Remnant for 10% offhttps://kairosclassroom.com/classes__________________________________________________________________________________The Gospel Of Mark Group Packets https://the-remnant-radio.creator-spring.com/listing/the-gospel-of-mark-workbooks__________________________________________________________________________________Download Free Ebookhttp://eepurl.com/hSCQRvKairos Classroom: Use Promo Code "Remnant" for 10% offhttps://kairosclassroom.com/classes Kairos Classroom: Use Promo Code Remnant for 10% offhttps://kairosclassroom.com/classesSupport the show
