“There is some force that is seeking itself.  That desires itself. That is praying for itself.” As we begin a new year, you can take a moment for reflection. You can tell the truth about what you are desiring, what you are hoping for, what you are praying for as you walk on your spiritual path. Sharing her own personal experience, Gangaji also invites you to inquire into the source of your prayers and see what it reveals.

After a nearly two month (much needed) hiatus - I'm back with a bit of a life update/glimpse into some of the themes and lessons I'm exploring currently in my soul's curriculum. If I'm being honest, I almost didn't share this. It's been a while and I was very in my head about how imperfect this conversation was, but I committed to UNEDITED, so I show up anyways. I share high level about a challenging circumstance I experienced that catalyzed a deep internal process of recalibration and Self-nurturance over the summer. Simplicity has been such an anchor, allowing me to clear my field and return to Self-Sourcing, delicious presence and discernment. I touch on how I'm navigating the uninspiring and dying paradigms of the industry (coaching/spirituality) I find myself in and share some of the questions I'm unpacking in personal reflection. It is a beautiful and blessed gift from heaven that believers today are included in this prayer. This prayer is alive because it contains the essence of God's will for his people. God will see to it that, as we follow him, we will be led deeply into what he wants for us. And what God wants for us is his will. Paul wrote, "We have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding" (Colossians 1:9). Notice the word "all" nothing lacking. The more we bow and yield our lives to God's will, the more this prayer will come to life in our lives. Blessing will be sure to follow.

This week, we continue our teaching series called "Living Prayer" exploring how to deepen our prayer lives by enjoying more of what Jesus offers - looking this time at the prayer of peace in Philippians 4. In a world with much cause for fear and anxiety, what does it look like to live knowing the depth of assurance that Jesus invites us to?

When you think of courageous living many thoughts come to mind. Bravery and lack of fear are front and center. Prayer fuels your ability to live courageously. Courage empowers us to reconcile the past, stand in the present, and shape the future with prayer as our guiding light throughout. Courage is not the absence of fear; courage is the conquest of fear through prayer!

Lots of people talk about being called to the ministry. Mark Swayze (@markswayze) felt called to ministry at a young age, but his calling has looked very different than most. Initially he thought he needed to go to seminary and get a Masters of Divinity. Now he knows that what he needs, and what we all need if we're going to serve the Lord, is to be mastered by divinity. This was a great conversation, and Mark's story has a lot to teach us about what it means to be called.
