The band had released their concept album, Music From The Elder on November 10, 1981 and this is one of their only promotional appearances for the album. Since KISS did not tour for the Music From The Elder, for many fans this was the first time to see the band with a new member, Eric Carr's the Fox and also the new haircuts and costumes. The band performed three songs live from Music From The Elder, The Oath, World Without Heroes & I. The live performances of these seldom played songs are an extreme rarity. This week Tom & Zeus review the 1992 legendary non makeup KISS album, Revenge. It's album review time and this is the14th KISS studio album (including the 1978 solo albums) reviewed so far. This Gold album is the first to feature Eric Singer, who joined the band after tragic loss of KISS fan favorite, Eric Carr. The album is dedicated to beloved drummer. This is the beginning of the "Revenge Era" KISS, where the "Demon" is back! A focused Gene Simmons along with Paul Stanley in his prime, Bruce Kulick now comfortably and confidently at his best and a hungry Eric Singer, a non makeup KISS, is perhaps at its peak. Gone is the bright glam look and sound and now replaced with dark, black leather and heavier music. The band released 5 singles and videos including fan favorite Unholy, which is the first single and video to feature Gene Simmons as the lead vocalist since I Love It Loud. Revenge also boasts the return of two KISS legends, producer extraordinaire, Bob Ezrin and the talented and never dull, guitar whiz, Vinnie Vincent. As usual the guys breakdown and analyze the tracks and rank the songs SIOL style. As always, they then compare the album and the album cover and rank it against the previous studio albums reviewed. This week Tom & Zeus review the 1996 Live Compilation, KISS Album, "You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best!" The album title comes from the famous line shouted prior to KISS concerts. The album is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary. The album was meant to coincide with the KISS reunion and their soon to be legendary Alive/Worldwide Tour. The album consists of 13 tracks made up of several KISS Klassic Live cuts from KISS Alive & KISS Alive II and 4 "supposedly" new live deep cuts, Room Service, Two Timer, Let Me Know and Take Me. However, the 1996 overdubs maybe more than just slight overdubs. The final track, which is odd, is a interview with former Tonight Show host, Jay Leno. The guys breakdown the tracks, the selections and the "interview" and then rank the new tracks. The guys then rank the album and cover versus the previous 2 Live Albums reviewed by SIOL.
