Welcome to Our True Crime Podcast's original “12 Nightmares Before Christmas,” where we discuss a true crime story daily for the days leading up to December 24. Make sure to like, subscribe, and tune in each day.We made it to Day 12! We hope you've had a wonderful holiday season! Thank you all for such a great 2023! Most people have heard of the Green River Killer. Washington State's most notorious serial killer was hard to miss in the 1990s. His moniker and his horrendous deeds could be found in most major newspapers across America. But there was another serial killer preying on society's weak and vulnerable at about the same time in the exact same state. While Gary Ridgeway was killing women and dumping them on the western side of Washington, Robert Lee Yates Jr was doing the same thing just four hours to the east on the other side of the state. In fact, at one point, investigators thought that the Green River Killer had just moved his hunting ground. But after a few bodies showed up in Spokane with gunshot wounds and plastic grocery bags wrapped around their heads, they realized that the MO was totally different. With a growing sense of dread, investigators realized that the sex workers and runaways of Spokane were not the victims of the Green River Killer. They were the victims of an entirely different monster. Conclusion Ainsi se conclut donc le 133ème épisode. Henry Robinson opened the Office of Addresses and Encounters on Threadneedle Street, London on 29th September, 1650. The centre provided a forward-looking, unusual mix of services ranging from job placements, money lending, and property dealings… to (shhh) match-making. Robinson's inspiration came from a broader philosophical concept of creating a place where people of all classes could access information, regardless of their status in society. He accordingly charged a minimal fee for answers to queries, and offered an array of services, from buying and selling land to language tuition and finding ‘travel companions'. In this episode, Arion, Rebecca and Olly explore why euphemistic wording was so often used in these very first ‘classifieds'; reveal the first documented example of a ‘Lonely Hearts' advertisement; and consider what Robinson's upselling model had in common with Costco… Further Reading: • ‘Heretic, Rebel, a Thing to Flout: They Found Answers at the Office of Addresses and Encounters' (Patrick Murfin, 2016): https://patrickmurfin.blogspot.com/2016/09/they-found-answers-at-office-of.html • ‘The Secret History of Domesticity - Public, Private, and the Division of Knowledge - By Michael McKeon' (John Hopkins University Press, 2006): https://www.google.co.uk/books/edition/The_Secret_History_of_Domesticity/8VrwIKiAefkC?hl=en&gbpv=1&dq=henry+robinson+office+of+encounters&pg=PA28&printsec=frontcover • ‘HISTORY OF IDEAS - Dating' (The School of Life, 2018): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ob14PcHtazQ #1600s #UK #Romantic #Business Love the show? With our reoccurring theme of aviation bucket lists,, many would say flying into KOSH during Airventure is near the top of the list. But once you've done that, how do you top it? How about being a part of one of the mass arrivals. Sounds pretty good, but how do you prep GA pilots to take on the risk and responsibility of flying in formation to the world's business airport? That's what Brandon and Marc wanted to find out when they sat down with Chip Gentry – Director of Legal Affairs and Assistant Director of Operations's for the Cherokees to OSH mass arrival team (https://www.cherokees2osh.com). Suffice it to say, there are a lot of considerations for logistics planning, pilot preparation, and coordination across pilots, airports, and airspace. This year, the 60th anniversary of the Piper Cherokee, brings special meaning, as the group is capping participation to 60 PA24, PA28, and PA32 pilots. Listen in to this episode of SimpleFlight Radio, as Brandon and Marc sit down with Chip to go behind the scenes to find out how a group of people can team together to ensure the end result is a safe and smooth arrival. We hope you enjoy the show. We're interested to have you join the discussion with your opinion and any questions you have of the SimpleFlight crew. And at the same time, share your thoughts with the rest of the SimpleFlight Facebook and Instagram community @simpleflightradio Thanks for being a part of the SimpleFlight Family!!!
Ready For Takeoff - Turn Your Aviation Passion Into A Career
Hello APG fans! I am Captain Dana and would like to share a bit of my background with all of you. My first logged flight was on my seventeenth birthday in August 1987. Ever since I can remember as a child I always loved airplanes and flying. I graduated with my degree in aviation management from a small college in southeastern Massachusetts with a fairly large aviation program. While going to school I was hired by ACME JR in Boston as a customer service agent, eventually moving up to a supervisory role. Then I was offered a position with ACME and have worked in baggage service, ticketing, gates, reservations, ramp operations, supervisor, customer service operations instructor and Mad Dog systems instructor. While working full time I completed all my flight training all the way through flight instructor and started teaching on the side, bought a partnership in a PA28-161 (Piper Warrior), flew parachute jumpers and eventually became a corporate pilot earning my type rating in a Cessna Citation. I then took a position with ACME JR ATL leaving my career at ACME behind to fly the EMB120 and the CRJ200. Now I am fortunate to be back at ACME as a Mad Dawg pilot, which was my goal, since it is the aircraft I spent 3 years teaching and with the company I’ve spent most of my career. I have logged time over my flying career in 31 different civilian aircraft. I still currently hold a CFI/II and love to share my wisdom, experience and knowledge of my aviation career with anyone who listens. Thank you all for supporting Jeff, the APG crew and APG community. Fly safe.

A flight from London to Sydney, Australia in a PA28 by Andy Hardy and Sam Kidd. We discuss the planning that the guys have had to do prior to this epic flight adventure.
Background: The proteasome system has a pivotal role in the control of the immune response, which suggests that it might be involved in the pathogenesis of autoimmune disorders. Objective: To investigate the expression profile of selected proteasomal genes in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells in patients with a variety of autoimmune diseases compared with healthy subjects. Methods: Real time quantitative RT-PCR was used to analyse the mRNA expression pattern of the proteasome activator subunits PA28textgreeka and PA28textgreekb and of constitutive proteasome and interferon-textgreekg-inducible immunoproteasome subunits in peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Simultaneously, protein expression of selected proteasome subunits was quantified by immunoblotting. Results: Under systemic inflammatory conditions the proteasome subunits LMP2 (textgreekb1i), LMP7 (textgreekb5i), MECL1 (textgreekb2i), and PA28textgreeka were expressed abundantly at the protein level in the vast majority of systemic autoimmune disorders. However, simultaneous mRNA and protein quantification showed a characteristic proteasome expression signature in primary Sjögren's syndrome. At the transcript level, the interferon-textgreekg-responsive subunits LMP2 (textgreekb1i), MECL1 (textgreekb2i), and the proteasome activator subunit PA28textgreeka were markedly up regulated. In contrast, LMP2 (textgreekb1i) deficiency was evident at the protein level, indicating deregulation of proteasome expression in Sjögren's syndrome. Conclusions: These data provide evidence for a regulatory defect in the proteasome system in human autoimmune disorders, pointing to a unique role for LMP2 (textgreekb1i) in the pathogenesis of primary Sjögren's syndrome.
