Currently a research fellow at the Hoover Institution and founder of the AHA Foundation. 2. Defining Political Islam vs. Islam as a Religion: Hirsi Ali distinguishes between Islam as a religion and Islamism (political Islam). She describes Islamism as a totalitarian ideology aiming to establish Islamic dominance globally. Emphasizes the threat posed by groups like the Muslim Brotherhood, which she compares to a “termite infestation” due to their subversive tactics. 3. The Muslim Brotherhood: Founded in 1928 by Hassan al-Banna in Egypt. Described as a decentralized, global movement using both peaceful and violent means to infiltrate societies. Hirsi Ali and Cruz advocate for its designation as a terrorist organization in the U.S. 4. The Red-Green Alliance: A term used to describe the alliance between radical Islamists (green) and Marxist/communist groups (red). Hirsi Ali warns that this alliance is strategically dangerous and aims to undermine Western democratic institutions. 5. Sharia Law and Its Implications: Hirsi Ali outlines the oppressive nature of Sharia law, especially toward women and LGBTQ individuals. She warns of the potential consequences if Islamist ideologies gain influence in Western societies. 6. READERS OF A certain age all over North America will remember a really excellent Canadian comedy-variety show called The Red Green Show, which had a 15-year run starting in 1990, starring Steve Smith as gravel-voiced handyman Red Green. Each week, Red would preside over the “Handyman Corner” segment of the show, in which he would do something ridiculous with duct tape and, usually, one or more rusty old cars. In one memorable episode from Season 14, Red made a DIY “mid-engine sports car” by sawing off the trunk of a rusty Mercury Grand Marquis, squashing the cabin flat, and duct-taping what remained onto the front of another car of the same model. The result was a remarkably ugly barge-shaped thing, about 50 feet long, which Red then hopped into and fired up, remarking proudly, “This isn't an old junker anymore, it's a fancy Italian mid-engine junker,” and adding his famous tagline: “If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy!” Viewers and studio-audience members of Red's show probably felt, watching him drive off in this monstrosity, about the same way the executives of Oregon's two big riverboat almost-monopolies did back in 1874 while they watched an Ohio greenhorn's progress on the riverboat he was building. They watched, and they laughed. The executives were also, it seems clear, congratulating themselves for having had the good sense not to hire that “Red Green” type guy when he'd applied to them for a job a few months earlier. The Ohio man, whose name was Uriah B. Scott, had come to them almost as soon as he'd arrived in Oregon, asking for a job and babbling about “shallow-draft hulls” — as if their riverboats weren't already on shallow-draft hulls! What, did he think they ran a blue-water fleet or something? They were in for a big surprise.... As Kamala Harris curries favor with pro-Hamas Democrats, her administration is euchring Israel to agree to a ceasefire designed to save that terrorist organization from increasingly imminent destruction by the Jewish State.    Should her efforts succeed, the predictable result would be not only the death in captivity of more hostages, but the imperiling of every other Israeli as what would amount to their country's defeat emboldens Iran and its friends to try to finish her off. They will then turn to us, “the Great Satan.”   Fortunately, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is resisting such extortion, as he must. U.S. polls keep showing eighty percent of Americans stand with Israel, and not Hamas. Especially if our campuses are again besieged by the pro-jihadist “Red-Green axis” this fall, Kamala's sympathies may become a distinct political liability, as well as a strategic disaster for America.    This is Frank Gaffney.

Vice President Kamala Harris met yesterday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and, unlike President Biden who did the same separately, she spoke to the press afterwards. Kamala simultaneously acknowledged Israel's right to defend itself and sharply denounced how the Jewish State is doing so.   Presumably her remarks played well with the pro-Hamas rioters who burned our flag and defaced our monuments in Washington on Wednesday. Indeed, some were reportedly bussed in from a campaign rally she had in Wisconsin the day before.   Courageous Muslim reformer Asra Nomani investigated the riot and quickly established that the busses and demonstration were organized by the “Red-Green axis” – notably, ANSWR, a North Korean-backed Marxist organization, and the Council on American Islamic Relations and other Sharia-supremacist front groups.   Kamala is to be commended for denouncing the rioters. Will she also disassociate herself from their organizers?   This is Frank Gaffney.
