Air Canada a récemment engagé des poursuites judiciaires contre un passager en réponse à une décision de l'Office des transports du Canada (OTC) l'obligeant à verser 2 000 $ en dédommagement pour des bagages retardés.Contexte de l'affaireLe passager en question avait enregistré une valise qui n'est pas arrivée à destination en même temps que lui. Air Canada a livré le bagage à l'hôtel du passager le lendemain matin, soit moins de 24 heures après l'arrivée du vol. Cependant, pendant cette période sans ses effets personnels, le passager a effectué des achats pour remplacer les articles manquants. Ces dépenses comprenaient notamment un sac de marque Tumi monogrammé, acquis deux jours après la restitution du bagage retardé.
