Good afternoon, I'm _____ with today's episode of EZ News. Tai-Ex opening The Tai-Ex opened marginally lower this morning from yesterday's close, at 20,018 on turnover of 2.7-billion N-T. The market moved higher on Monday led by a tech rally on Wall Street at the end of last - and the main board returned to above the 20,000-point mark for the first time since April 2. Market watchers say buying on the Tai-Ex Monday reflected a continued rally on U-S markets, which showed signs of stabilizing after the tariff shocks .. and it's being suggested that the worst result from the tariff impact is now over. CIER calls on government to seek tariff exemption for ICT products The Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research says the government should seek a tariff exemption for the island's information and communications technology products during negotiations with the United States. The statement comes after Washington and Taipei held their first negotiations on April 11 - as the government is seeking to ensure that Taiwan will not face a 32-per cent import duty .. as was announced by the U-S on April 2 .. … before a 90-day pause on that was announced on April 9. Washington and Taipei held their first negotiations on April 11 - as the government seeks to ensure that Taiwan will not face hefty tariffs on exports to the U-S market. Centenarian shuttler to compete in World Masters Games The Taipei City Department of Information and Tourism has annouced that a centenarian badminton player will be representing Taiwan at the upcoming World Masters Games. According to city government, 104-year old Lin Yu-mao is one of more than 2,000 athletes aged 65 and above who will be competing in the games. Lin is the Guinness World Records-certified oldest badminton player. Fifteen World Masters Games participants are aged 90 and over, including eight from Taiwan. The oldest participant at this year's quadrennial (四年一次) athletics event is a Thai track and field athlete who is 105 years old. The 2025 World Masters Games is taking place in Taipei and New Taipei from May 17 through 31. Canada Polls Open in National Election Polls are open in Canada's national election, with the ruling Liberal Party favored to win by a narrow margin. The vote comes as Canadians grapple with high living costs, and tensions (緊張局勢) with a confrontational US President, who has made controversial comments about Canada's future. Mitch McCann reports: Brazil Supreme Court Order on Illegal Seizing of Land A justice on Brazil's Supreme Court has ordered the federal government to seize private properties when owners are found responsible for illegal wildfires or deforestation. In addition, authorities must seek compensation from landowners responsible for illegal and intentional (故意的) destruction. The ruling also directed the government to block regularization, a process by which illegally-acquired land becomes legal. The expectation of regularization has been one of the main drivers of deforestation in the Amazon. Land-grabbers clear land in the hope that it will eventually be titled thanks to lax land laws or government amnesties. The court's decision could be appealed. That was the I.C.R.T. One of the best things you can do for your life and leadership today is listen to or watch this podcast. If you do not or choose to ignore it due to its content, you will be making a huge mistake. Understanding this episode today will lead you to have a very healthy understanding of our times, and also help you flourish personally, as well lead you to lead yourself, your family, your business, your church, or your organization in a much more productive way now and the future. So stay tuned, buckle up, and get ready…this is Ronnie Floyd, and welcome to the 48th episode of our podcast. In just a moment, I will discuss a subject I have never addressed and share some information with you that you may not have heard or read about before. I promise you that today's podcast will be one of the most helpful podcasts I have done with you. Just a quick note from our past week: Jeana and I spent three days in Orlando, Florida, for an annual conference we attend called The Mega-Metro Conference for Pastors and Wives. I have now participated in this conference for thirty-seven consecutive years. We prioritize it because God always blesses and encourages us when we gather for this event. We provided leadership for this conference in three different years during my Cross Church tenure. We are thankful to Pastor Chris Bell and his wife, Nan, who served this year by leading and designing the program for these various gatherings at the conference. Pastor Chris Bell is the Lead Pastor of the multi-campus 3 CIRCLE CHURCH based in Fairhope, Alabama. Now, let's get right into my podcast for this week. While conversations about the various generations occur daily, they are usually about the younger generations, such as Generation Alpha, Born 2013-2025; Generation Z, Born 1997-2012; and, of course, the Millenials, born 1981-1996. While we must always be aware and committed to the next generations, we can never forget the others. For example, where would we be today without Generation X, Born 1965-1980 and now in their forties to late fifties? Then, we have the Baby Boomers Generation, Born 1946-1964, now in their sixties to eighties. Furthermore, what about the Silent Generation, Born in 1928-1945, now in their eighties and nineties? Finally, we cannot forget The Centenarians, people born in 1925 or earlier, and some 100,000+ of these people live in the United States.

Traditional Chinese Medicine - TCM podcast

Full script at: www.tcmpodcast.me Short script: Advances in nutrition, healthcare, and awareness of healthy living have led to increased life expectancy and lower mortality rates.  Currently, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea hold the highest life expectancies worldwide, significantly influenced by Chinese cultural practices, particularly in the realm of traditional medicine, which plays a crucial role in the region's health and longevity. Cultural habits and dietary choices are deeply rooted in these societies. Studies have suggested that a diet low in protein and high in carbohydrates can promote longevity. Research from the Salk Institute found that eating within a shorter timeframe daily can result in health benefits, making a lower-carb, higher-protein diet potentially less advantageous compared to a balanced, moderate carbohydrate diet akin to the Okinawan style. Centenarian studies in regions with high numbers of those living past 100, like Okinawa and parts of Italy, emphasize plant-based diets low in protein and sugars, focusing instead on complex carbohydrates from beans and other plants. Many centenarians consume fewer meals daily, often finishing their evening meals before nightfall. Comparative analyses show that older Okinawans typically consume less meat and more vegetables than their American counterparts, contributing to lower instances of cancer and heart disease among them.

This week I explore seven healthy patterns commonly found in individuals who live past the age of 100. These patterns include regular physical activity, a balanced diet, strong social connections, a positive outlook on life, getting enough sleep, engaging in lifelong learning, and practicing mindfulness. By incorporating these habits into our daily lives, we can improve our chances of living a long and fulfilling life!Citations:   PMID: 22811911https://doi.org/10.1093/af/vfac093PMID: 30202372https://www.pnas.org/doi/full/10.1073/pnas.1900712116 PMID: 37831896  https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/learning-new-skill-can-slow-cognitive-aging-201604279502https://doi.org/10.1007/s12671-015-0482-8 If you love the Get Lean Eat Clean Podcast, we'd love for you to subscribe, rate, and give a review on Apple Podcasts and Spotify! Kane Tanaka of Japan died in 2022 at the age of 119. Lucile Randon of France died in 2023 at 118. Jiroemon Kimura of Japan died in 2023 at 116, the oldest male ever. What did these people have in common? Were they biohackers? Did they do CrossFit? Did they take NAD supplements or run marathons? Nope. Like almost all centenarians they lived exceptionally long lives most-likely due to genetics, combined with a moderately healthy or even average healthy lifestyle. Despite the overwhelming abundance of evidence that we're all going die sooner rather than later, the quest for longevity never stops. My guest on this week's podcast has developed a unique way to measure biological age and his work is playing a key role in longevity research and biohacker communities. Listen and learn: The overlooked role of epigenetics in your health and lifespan Biohackers, science fiction, and the reality of living a long time How methylation patterns can be predictive of lifespan The significance of GrimAge for reducing early mortality  Links Steve on X ABOUT OUR GUEST Steve Horvath is a German-American researcher, geneticist, and biostatistician.
