The Mets bounced back after Ryan Helsley blew a save and beat the Phillies. They will go for a sweep tonight. Tim Hill bailed Fernando Cruz out of a jam after Luis Gil gave the Yankees five strong innings in their win over the Nationals. The Yankees and Mets will play at Yankee Stadium on the 25th anniversary of 9/11 next year. The season is starting on Wednesday, March 25th. That's very early!
Hour 1 Jerry and Willie Colon fill in for Boomer and Gio, discussing the start of college football season, which Willie and Eddie love, unlike NFL-fan Jerry. They feel old watching sons of players they grew up with. The Mets beat the Phillies, with controversy around Juan Soto's timeout and appreciation for Francisco Lindor. Willie hopes parabolic mics and this series turn the Mets around. The Yankees and Giancarlo Stanton continue their success against the Nationals. C-Lo's update covers Brandon Nimmo's walk-off, Edwin Diaz's save, and Jonah Tong's upcoming MLB debut, which Jerry believes will spark the team. Jerry and Willie agree Stanton is a Hall-of-Famer and enjoys playing outfield. The Yankees gained a game as the Blue Jays blew a lead. The Giants waived Tommy DeVito, and the Jets cut Malachi Corley. Finally, Jerry asks Willie about Burning Man, leading to a discussion of his sandstorm experience in Arizona, whether he could perform in an "orgydome" at his age, and which former teammates and show crew members he'd take. Hour 2 The hour begins with the engagement announcement of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Willie discusses prenups, having one himself, while others on the show do not. Eddie sees prenups as a sign of mistrust. Jerry wonders if the engagement will help Kelce focus on the upcoming season. A caller provides a female perspective on prenups. C-Lo, who also lacks a prenup, provides an update. Jerry and Willie note that cheating isn't exclusive to men. In sports, the Mets beat the Phillies, Giancarlo Stanton led another Yankee win, and Shedeur Sanders made the Browns' initial 53-man roster. The hour concludes with Jerry telling Willie about Shaun Morash's bet that Travis Kelce will incorporate Taylor Swift's last name into his. If so, Evan will take his wife's name as payment. Jerry and Willie agree with Evan's stance but wouldn't have risked the same wager. Willie emphasizes athletes' need to protect earnings, especially in the NFL. Hour 3 The hour began with a discussion on Micah Parsons' hold-in and alleged back injury, with Willie and Jerry expecting a deal, though Willie notes the difficulty of returning to play immediately. NFL cutdown day saw the Jets release Malachi Corley, prompting Willie to suggest they need another receiver. Willie also explained how small-school players are scouted, calling the combine overrated. C-Lo returned with an update after a segment on the Jerry Jones Netflix documentary, which C-Lo and Jerry are enjoying. The conversation then shifted to concussion protocols then versus now. The Mets beat the Phillies after Ryan Helsley blew a save and are going for a sweep tonight. The Yankees won against the Nationals with Luis Gil pitching five strong innings, saved by Tim Hill. The Yankees and Mets will play on 9/11 next year, with the season starting unusually early on March 25th. C-Lo presented musical clips, including Evan and Shaun singing "Tong" and Gary, Keith, and Ron singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," leading to a discussion on karaoke songs. The hour concluded with Jerry sharing a coincidence related to a small college and then discussing excitement for college football. Finally, Jerry recounted a story about a man in Wisconsin who faked his death to leave his family and meet a woman, now facing jail time. Hour 4 The final hour begins with Jets radio voice Bob Wischusen, following Willie's story about Mike Tomlin using “In the Air Tonight” to motivate his team. Bob discusses the Jets' potential for a good season, expressing optimism about their chances of playing meaningful games in December. C-Lo returns for his final update, where Willie learns about "Al" after CBS Sports Network aired Jerry's "fraud" clip. Ryan Helsley blew the Mets' lead, but they won in the 9th. Giancarlo Stanton drove in all five Yankees runs in their win, leading Jerry to call him a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer. C-Lo wonders what Travis Kelce had left to say proposing to Taylor Swift, while Jer ...
Munaf Manji and Griffin Warner break down MLB Tuesday betting. The latest MLB Tuesday betting preview from RJ Bell's Dream Preview podcast, hosted by Munaf Manji with Griffin Warner, sets the stage for a critical slate of late-August matchups as teams position themselves for the postseason. The episode dives deep into 14 games on the betting board, breaking down pitching matchups, recent team form, and value spots for bettors. Manji and Warner are riding an 83% hot streak on best bets, going 10–2 in their last 12, and their confidence and banter drive an engaging analysis that blends sharp betting insight with humor and strong statistical breakdowns. The show begins with Red Sox vs Orioles, where Lucas Giolito's improved form and Kyle Braddish's return from Tommy John make Boston and the over intriguing plays. The Braves vs Marlins matchup highlights Sandy Alcantara's struggles, with Warner leaning to the home underdog Marlins and the over on 7.5 runs. In Rays vs Guardians, Shane Baz's road splits and Cleveland's sputtering offense create strong value on Tampa Bay plus money. The Yankees vs Nationals discussion centers on Luis Gil's control issues and the Yankees' defensive problems, leading both analysts toward overs rather than trusting either side. Toronto vs Minnesota showcases Chris Bassett's dominant home record against Bailey Ober's brutal losing streak, making the Blue Jays run line their clear best bet of the day. The Mets remain a “fade” team, with Sean Manaea's poor record and Jesus Luzardo's strong history against New York cementing Philadelphia as the sharper side. Brewers vs Diamondbacks is pegged as a potential shootout, with Jacob Misiorowski's walk issues and Arizona's power threats pointing to an over. Royals vs White Sox highlights Chicago's lack of offense despite Martin Pérez's decent outings, pushing Kansas City as the stronger side. Other key breakdowns include Pirates vs Cardinals (leaning over), Angels vs Rangers (under 8.5 tabbed as Warner's best bet despite Corbin's volatility), and Astros vs Rockies (only playable through alternate run lines given Houston's -315 price). Padres vs Mariners positions Dylan Cease as a value underdog against a hittable Luis Castillo, while Cubs vs Giants trends under behind Matthew Boyd's road splits and Justin Verlander's home tendencies. The card wraps with Reds vs Dodgers, where Nick Martinez's inconsistency and Clayton Kershaw's diminished form suggest the over nine runs is the sharper angle. Beyond game analysis, the hosts highlight Pregame.com promotions, including a Beat Greg Shaker college football contest with $1,000 in prizes and a 20% sitewide discount using the promo code SLUGGER20. This synergy between MLB betting insights, college football contests, and broader handicapping content reinforces Pregame's role as a hub for sharp sports betting information. From an editorial perspective, the podcast succeeds by pairing statistical depth with practical wagering advice, appealing both to seasoned bettors and newer fans seeking guidance. The mix of trends, fantasy baseball angles, and promotional tie-ins keeps the content dynamic. My commentary is that the show's value lies not just in picks, but in its process: highlighting faulty lines, identifying exploitable splits, and stressing the importance of context when interpreting numbers. The betting insights are actionable, but the broader lesson is that line shopping, injury context, and market awareness are as crucial as raw stats. Late-August baseball handicapping, with best bets on Blue Jays run line and Angels vs Rangers under anchoring a comprehensive breakdown. As playoff races tighten, bettors get both sharp picks and a reminder of Pregame.com's broader offerings, making it a must-listen for anyone serious about MLB odds, betting strategies, and value plays heading into September. Boomer and Gio discuss Giants and Jets camp, with the show at Giants camp tomorrow. They also cover NFL expectations, Aaron Glenn, and a Streamsong trip. Jerry provides an update, and Boomer sets Mets and Yankees trade deadline over/unders. Upcoming interviews include Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, Brian Daboll, Dexter Lawrence, and Jevon Holland. The Yankees beat the Rays, and Pete Alonso's reaction might have led to Huascar Brazoban's demotion. Luis Gil returns Sunday. The Mets lost badly. Justin Fields is back at Jets practice. Aaron Glenn is improving the Jets. The Moment of the Day: An object on the court. They discuss NL playoff threats, believing the Padres are dangerous but not the Brewers, and Gio gets angry at fans complaining despite championships.
Hour 1 Jerry started the show with Boomer, joined by Gio later. Boomer raised questions about attending Aly's wedding and a Florida trip. Jerry's constant exclusion was discussed, though he denied being upset, especially about not being left out of the Pebble Beach trip. They then spoke to Aly about her wedding. Jerry highlighted differences in California wedding customs (no cash gifts, no suits). They discussed Anthony Volpe's hitting but fielding struggles, with Boomer suggesting time off. Jerry wanted Paul Goldschmidt to improve at first base. The Mets' heart of the order struggled in a 7-1 loss. After a chair swap, Gio reviewed what he missed due to car issues. A caller confirmed Gio's theory about smaller men wanting to fight him. Hour 2 Gio discusses a comet theory and a controversial Sydney Sweeney ad. The hosts dismiss the Nazi propaganda claims. Jerry gives an update. They discuss "Big Intern's" departure and future interns. Cody Bellinger's homer led the Yankees to a win. The Padres beat the Mets. Jose Iglesias had a good game. Juan Soto left with an injury but isn't concerned. A dildo appeared at a WNBA game. Trey Hendrickson ended his holdout. Finally, Boomer and Gio advise a caller on his first golf outing. Hour 3 Gio is surprised Mets fans want Luis Robert Jr., while Boomer and Gio agree the Mets can't give up on Mark Vientos despite his struggles. Boomer is intrigued by trading for Robert Jr. if it doesn't cost Vientos, and wants to see the Mets add pitchers. He believes the Mets will eventually have to move on from one of the young infielders. Is Steven Kwan a better target? Gio wonders why Rob Manfred was in the Phillies clubhouse. Jerry provides an update, but first, Boomer asks which Mets third baseman would be easiest to trade: Ronny Mauricio, Brett Baty, or Mark Vientos? Gio says Baty, Jerry says Vientos. Gio will not be happy if the Mets trade Mauricio or Vientos. The Mets lost their final late-night game. Juan Soto's foot X-rays were negative. Gio observed something new about Dave Sims. Anthony Volpe's bat contributed to a win, but his glove did not. Getting traded must be difficult. Boomer thinks the NBA could expand into Europe. In the final segment, Gio shares an update on trying to go to Streamsong the weekend of NFL Week 1. They could do the show from the resort on Monday, but not Tuesday. The alternate who would go if Boomer and Gio can't calls in, encouraging them to make the trip. Hour 4 Boomer and Gio discuss Giants and Jets camp, with the show at Giants camp tomorrow. Former MLB Pitcher Josh Towers and Scott Seidenberg look at the standings and stats around baseball here at the All Star Break with BEST BETS for the remainder of the season. At the 2025 MLB All-Star break, the Inside Pitch podcast with Scott Seidenberg and Josh Towers delivers a sharp, numbers-driven midseason analysis. They highlight which teams are outperforming or underperforming expectations based on actual wins versus Pythagorean projections. The Toronto Blue Jays lead the AL East with a 55–41 record but are five wins ahead of their expected total, signaling potential regression. The Yankees are six games below their expected record, indicating possible value in the second half. Injuries and returning players also dominate discussion—Luis Garcia and Christian Javier returning to the Astros' rotation is likened to acquiring top talent at the trade deadline. Luis Gil's rehab performance could also bolster the Yankees. Boston's young squad, led by Garrett Crochet and Roman Anthony, is positioned to make a late push if they acquire key pieces like a veteran first baseman or another starter. Win total bets discussed include taking the under on Toronto's 89.5 projection and over on Houston's 92.5 due to an easy remaining schedule. The Brewers emerge as the most profitable team in baseball for bettors, returning over $1,300 if wagered on every game. Milwaukee also boasts a 72% win rate as favorites. Advanced pitching stats suggest strong Cy Young cases for Zach Wheeler and long-shot Christopher Sanchez in the National League, while Crochet and Scooble are nearly even statistically in the AL race. Aaron Judge is unanimously favored to win AL MVP, outpacing competitors like Cal Raleigh in nearly every offensive metric. Shohei Ohtani's recent return to pitching enhances his case for NL MVP. The Phillies are picked to win the NL East, with three pitchers having 10+ quality starts, a key measure of reliability. For the postseason, the Yankees, Astros, and Tigers are favorites in the AL, while the Dodgers and Phillies are expected to meet in the NLCS. The Red Sox and Blue Jays are likely Wild Card teams, though the latter are expected to regress. Arizona is projected to fade down the stretch, likely trading veterans like Suarez, Naylor, and perhaps Gallen, and their under-79.5 win total is recommended. Despite offensive firepower, the Diamondbacks' pitching struggles make them unreliable. Meanwhile, Milwaukee and Chicago are competing in the NL Central, and both are top betting values. Overall, listeners are encouraged to buy into the Yankees, Red Sox, and Astros for the second half, and fade teams like Toronto and Arizona. Josh and Scott also touch on key upcoming matchups, strategic deadline considerations, and award markets—recommending Sanchez for NL Cy Young at 20:1 and Crochet at +240 in the AL. They close by predicting the ALCS will feature the Astros and Yankees, while the NLCS will likely be a showdown between the Dodgers and Phillies, pending injury returns. In this jam-packed show, Kelley Franco covers everything you need to know about MLB in 30 minutes. We talk about the first-place Mets, and how Soto is slow to launch but will likely prove the doubters wrong; how Baty or Acuna will be demoted after McNeil's return; and who will play centerfield in Siri's absence. We also talk about the first-place Yankees, how Aaron Judge is on fire but so is Ben Rice - who is blooming as a power hitter. We'll also talk about Luis Gil's recent setback and where the Yankee rotation stands. Then we take a look at the powerful NL West and how the Padres and Giants have been able to surprise us. We talk about how and why the Orioles and Braves are off to slow starts. We take a 2-minute tax lesson from Kelley, who explains why ballplayers have to pay tax in every state they play in. And we wind it up with how the 2026 World Baseball Classic is looking, and the team captains whose names you will know, and how they will help recruits. And of course…what's good to eat while watching the ballgame.*Music by Podington Bear

The Yankees worst nightmares are coming true in real time. First Giancarlo Stanton, then Luis Gil, and now - maybe the scariest - Ace Gerrit Cole could be down for the count with Tommy John. We make our case for why the Royals super prospect should open camp with the big league club in KC. Luis Gil's season is derailed by a severe lat strain, sidelining the Yankees pitcher for months. Discussions shifted to NFL salaries, with hypothetical figures for Boomer's era, and the Bengals' second consecutive tag of Tee Higgins. Boomer critiqued the Giants' QB-centric optimism, suggesting Aaron Rodgers as a potentially better short-term solution. He then questioned the Jets' playoff and Super Bowl chances, debating if a complete rebuild is necessary. C-Lo provided sports updates, starting with the Rangers' victory, and addressed the use of old audio clips in updates. The hour concluded with Boston radio host Fred Toucher's strong disdain for Pat McAfee.

The 2025 Yankees Spring Training gets worse
Hour 1 Matthew Stafford stays with the Rams, so the Giants are now linked to Aaron Rodgers. Boomer doesn't think Rodgers fits the Giants' offense, and Gio thinks Rodgers can't dictate terms anymore. Boomer believes the Jets will start Tyrod Taylor and that it's too early to extend Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson. Jerry's update includes the Knicks beating the Heat, Jimmy Butler being sued for unpaid rent and damages, St. John's winning the Big East outright, and Rick Pitino's comments. Also mentioned are Aaron Judge possibly taking a shot at Juan Soto, Jack Hughes' injury, and Boomer's experience with a rough plane landing. Hour 2 The show covered St. John's Big East win and their NCAA prospects, comparing their season to the Knicks'. Tom Brady's control over the Raiders was discussed. Jerry returned, and his 'winter's over' declaration was debated. Updates included the Knicks' OT win, St. John's Big East victory, Rangers' shutout, and Devils' loss. Jordan Schultz denied offering Tesla stock for scoops, and Boomer recalled Jay Glazer's first MMA fight. The WFAN internship program was also mentioned. Hour 3 We discussed Yankees' spring training injuries, including Luis Gil and Giancarlo Stanton, with speculation on the cause of these early setbacks. Boomer's recent speaking engagement in San Antonio was highlighted, followed by a caller's query about the evolution of NFL shoulder pad sizes. The segment shifted to Jerry's update, which included the Knicks' overtime victory in Miami, NBA player podcast clips, Carlos Mendoza's strategy for Kodai Senga, and Keith Hernandez's Florida condo listing. Finally, a correction was issued regarding a previous statement about John Daly's Masters record. Hour 4 Boomer and Gio discussed injured DJ LeMahieu and aging players. Gio doesn't like teams going after older QBs except for the Giants with Matthew Stafford (which didn't work out). Jerry gave an update and they talked Knicks, Thunder, and Davante Adams. Boomer said Giants fans are tough on themselves and discussed their QB troubles.

We talked about all the injuries in spring training, including Luis Gil and Giancarlo Stanton. How do they all get hurt so early in the process? Boomer said maybe this is why spring training is so long. Gil has a tight shoulder and Stanton has two tennis elbows. We also talked about injuries on both turf and grass.
We got some more injuries this weekend. Corbin Carroll left Sunday with back tightness. Luis Gil had an MRI on his shoulder. Spencer Steer could start the season on the IL.
