Nederlandse experts uit onder meer De Hoogstraat, UMC Utrecht en ARQ trainen honderden Oekraïense zorgverleners. Tegelijkertijd leren Nederlandse medici juist van de flexibiliteit en creativiteit waarmee Oekraïense ziekenhuizen onder extreme druk moeten functioneren. Het Project Netherlands for Superhumans wordt gefinancierd door RVO, binnen het Ukraine Partnership Facility (UPF). Betrokken partners zijn Stichting “Netherlands for Ukraine Foundation” (NL4UA), Stichting “Healthcare4Ukraine” en Charitable Fund “Superhumans”. Fieke Bruggeman-Everts legt uit waarom mentale weerbaarheid minstens zo belangrijk is als medische kennis. Op basis van de coronacrisis ontwikkelde ARQ samen met de zorgsector een landelijke richtlijn voor psychosociale ondersteuning van zorgprofessionals. Daarin staan aanbevelingen over peer support, teamcultuur en stressbegeleiding voor mensen in hoog-risicoberoepen zoals zorg, defensie en ambulancezorg. Volgens Bruggeman-Everts begint goede crisiszorg bij een veilige werkomgeving waarin collega’s elkaar ondersteunen en problemen vroegtijdig bespreekbaar zijn. Soybean farmers face surmountable challenges from low crop prices, high input costs and an uncertain future demand outlook. Censky hopes the current trade war is short-lived and brings worthy results. Censky says soybean farmers are watching closely the downsizing at USDA and holding out hope Congress can deliver a new farm bill this year. The EPA's pending RVO announcement could be the determining factor between profit and loss in 2025.
Iowa Senator Charles Grassley said farm and nutrition spending could be amended in the budget reconciliation process. Grassley supports full year E15 sales and says either Congress or the EPA should raise RVO's for biodiesel.
